I went to page 2 and didn't even notice. Don't forget to read JanieD's reply on the second page of #74.

Here is mine from page 2 on #74:

Hi mom4. Welcome!!!! I am 42 yrs. old and I have 3 kids (15,10 and 8) so no grandkids yet. I'll bet you are lovin' have 4 grandchildren. I hear it is a blast. Congrats on your loss. That is great. You are
I am a lifetime member and I have lost 45# so far. I need to lose about 9# for my goal but want to lose around 19#.

Great quote Patti. I loved it!

I am so glad you loved the Olive Garden. If you have any Macaroni Grills around they are a wonderful Italian restaurant too. I fell in love with ours. We have been their 4 times in 2 months. That is my restaurant of choice when Bruce and I get a night out.

Hi Joyce, Myra, Dianne, Jen and JanieD!

09-24-2001, 08:44 PM
Terri, I don't think there are any Macaroni Grill restaurants here but I'll check it out.

Janie, it's been strange the past 2 weeks. With all that's happened I came seem to stay focused. They're starting to bring Halloween candy to work. ALREADY!! I really have to stay away. Today I walked away from my desk & when I got back someone left a Kit Kat by my phone. I ate it:rolleyes: Driving home all I kept thinking was why didn't I give it away. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Mom4, I think you're going to like it here. We're a small group but we talk about everything.

Jen, Dianne, Myra, Joyce, Zoe:wave:

Hello my buddies

Momof4 - welcome to our little group. I am a lifetime member of ww since 1995, but go up and down. But what are fresh starts for anyway? I'm 48 years old and have 13 grandchildren with another on the way in December. Don't ask!:D It's a complicated story, but to make a long one short, my husband and I have "yours, mine and ours children", so now we have "yours, mine and ours grandchildren":D Hope you like it here, we're happy to have you!

Jen - awwww, so sad when its time to close the pool, huh? But, next year you'll have it for the whole entire summer.

Essie - I know, that halloween candy is rough - I especially love those little corn things:lol: Now the holidays will come fast and furious, so we'll have to be strong -- hey, maybe it would help if we had our jaws wired:s:

Zoe - congrats on the loss - way to go, girl.

Hi to Myra, Janie and Joyce. (hope I didn't miss anyone)

Have a great week everyone.

09-25-2001, 12:14 AM
Hello Y'all

Another Monday under my belt but the worse Monday I've had in a long time......I'll explain at the end of my post.

Janie ~ Our reservation in Vegas is at the Monte Carlo, right in the middle of it all.

Terri ~ I absolutey LOVE Macaroni Grill!!!!!!! But ya know, that olive oil and bread, a big "stay away" :nono: Ha!

Mom4 ~ welcome to our small but wonderful group. There are only a few of us at times and then many at other times. We come and go, leave for awhile then come back.....the reason we come back is because the support here is great and the girls are wonderful friends. You are going to love it here.

Ok, as for the stressful day......I am a co-manager in my department and we don't have enough help. When I go on vacation, I have TONS of work to do to leave and then TONS of it to come back to....but hey, I do it, we all do it. Well, with vacation only a week away, I have so much to do......there are parts of my department that no one knows how to do ~ only me. I know, I know, that's not a good thing and something that I will be changing soon but......my co manager was out sick on Friday and then, didn't come in today either. He called in around 9am and said that he has to have back surgery THIS WEEK!! That means he's not out for 6-8 weeks and I can't leave. There is no way I can go now.........:(:( My boss was sorry that my vacation would be ruined but I told her that if I need to stay, I will. My husband works for the same company and both he and my son (who works there too) aren't that disappointed. It all seems strange but anyway, a long story short, my trip has been postponed indefinitely.......the airline tickets won't be lost, we'll just cancel and use them for another time.......so, that's that.

Hi to everyone else. Hope you're all having a good evening.

Patti ~ Soaking up the "SON" in Texas

09-25-2001, 06:00 AM
Hi Everybody:wave:

Zoe, sorry to hear about your trip:( But I am a strong believer in "sometimes things happen for a reason". No wonder why you have such a stressful job! Co-manager:eek: I use to be a supervisor & I know how stressful it can be. I use to work with Pete, (my hubby) my brother & my sis-in-law for 7 yrs. When it came to Thanksgiving we all got turkeys:D

Dianne, you always make me laugh:lol: Most of you are lifetime members. I didn't realize that till just now. I better get my butt in gear. I have to catch up to you guys!

Hi Terri, Jen, Myra, Joyce & Mom4:wave:

Have a great day ;)

09-25-2001, 01:21 PM
I told everyone not to forget about your reply on the second page and I didn't reply myself. :o
Don't know where my head is.
It is so hard to go to those kind of pot luck dinners and stay op. There are foods that we haven't seen in years and may never see again. It is just so hard. At the cub scout get togethers with the boys it is that way. There are soooo many foods. They just leave the bags of all different kind of chips open and the kids put their hands in and take some. I have to imagine how DIRTY their hands are and it makes me not want to take anything. Then I try to imagine how dirty these people might be that make the yummy desserts. I picture them not washing their hands etc... I know it sounds insane but then I don't eat it.
I know we can't do that with family or real good friends but that is how I survive these once a month cub scout get togethers.

I can't believe they are passing out Halloween Candy already. WOW!!! That is hard to pass up! I allow myself Halloween candy on Halloween. That way I have something to look forward to.

I am so sorry about your vacation. :(
Maybe in the Spring...
Macaroni Grill is a killer but I LOVE IT! We each had a glass of the Chianti. (Spell?) OH MY! Like my grandpa (From Italy) use to make. We drank on the honor sysytem.

You forgot me!

Hi Jen, Myra, Joyce, mom4

09-25-2001, 08:43 PM
OMG - Terri, I'm soooooooooo sorry:o How could I forget you:^: Forgive me, please -- 20 lashes with a wet noodle, I deserve -- wait, never mind........I'd probably eat the damn noodle:lol: Anyway, you get the picture , I'm such a :dizzy: broad sometimes:D Love ya!!!!!!

09-25-2001, 08:43 PM
I've had a tough couple of days. Lots of attitudes flying. I've tried to stay in control. I haven't done that bad. Still in my range, although at the top end. Hopefully things calm down. Hopefully I lost something this week. I have started exercising again. Wish me luck. WI in tomorrow nite.

09-26-2001, 03:35 AM
 Dianne. You are too funny! I will forgive you!!!!!!

It is ok. Just start fresh every day and you will get your attitude in check.
Good luck tomorrow. I know you will do well. Keep on exercising.

Hi everyone!

09-26-2001, 03:13 PM
Hi, we stayed at the Monte Carlo the last time we were in Vegas (1999). It is very nice, however there isn't much entertainment there (except the casino, if your into that kind of thing, we aren't). But you are right it is right in the center of everything. Last time I was there they were still building Paris France right across the street. I would be interested in how it turned out. I am a little confused as to whether it is your vacation or Patti's that got cancelled. ( I am a little slow :?: ) If you are still going to Vegas, definately go to see Cirque du Soleil and The Star Trek Experience. We really enjoyed both. Except Ellen was totally terrified by a Klingon who wouldn't even step out of character when she was screaming hysterically. :D

Thanks for the suggestions regarding pot lucks. As we approach the holidays there seems to be more and more of them. Hopefully there will be fewer deserts next time ;)

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited. I WI this morning and I lost 3 lb. I was shocked considering the weekend that I had, but I was low on my points the other days. I guess I banked enough to cover it. Not only is it a great loss, but I have reached my 10% weight loss, I am only 2 lbs from the BMI weight range for my height, and I am half way to my personal goal weight! :D. Myra, I hope you do well tonight!

Livermore, CA

09-26-2001, 03:26 PM
CONGRATULATIONS JanieD!!! {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}
That is a wonderful loss and your 10% to boot. You are :smoking:
How much more do you have to go?

Patti is Zoe. Zoe is her user name. It is the name of her precious little dog. Sorry for the confusion.

What would you rather me call you Zoe or Patti?

Hi everyone!!!!!

09-26-2001, 03:45 PM
Patti, so sorry to hear that your vacation plans had to be cancelled, you were really looking forward to it.

Janie, GREAT JOB! 3 lbs. is a good loss....and your 10% is a big achievement! :D

Terri, I laughed when I read your diet trick about envisioning dirty hands, kitchens, etc. I've ALWAYS shyed away from food made by others if I don't know their habits or homes....to hear you using it to stay OP is great. :)

Myra, hope you're doing okay.

And I'm with Essie.....I must be the only other one who isn't a lifetimer. :( I've begun the race countless times but never finished......

hi to everyone else!

09-26-2001, 07:37 PM
 Janie -- It might be my fault that you are confused, ever since I found out Patti used the two names I've called her Patti/Zoe! She is one in the same person, but I like Patti/Zoe so I still call her that. She hasn't told me to stop, so I'm not sure if she likes it or not:D Congrats on the loss, way to go.

Hey Jen - don't worry, you'll get there and then you can be like me, up and down, back and forth:s: Just kidding, but its true, life gets in the way sometimes and stuff happens. That's just the way it is. Slow and steady wins the race, so don't worry.

HI TERRI!!!!!!!!! Don't want to forget you again:o Hi to Essie, Patti/Zoe, Myra, Joyce, Momof4 (hope I didn't leave someone else out this time!).

Well, I'm off tomorrow for Jewish Holiday and Alana is coming home for a few days also. We'll go shopping tomorrow and do some girl bonding:smug: It's so funny, I was so worried about missing her and in the one month she's been away at school, this is her third time coming home - can't seem to get rid of her;)

Well, hope you all have a good night and I'll speak to "you's" soon.

09-26-2001, 08:40 PM
I'm so happy. I weighed in today. Lost 2.4 lbs. Working out really made a big difference, I guess. It really gave me a pick up that I needed as things have been very tense at home.

09-26-2001, 09:10 PM
Hi Girls,

Way to go Myra & JanieD. Great losses!

Dianne, that was very funny when we thought Zoe/Patti were 2 people:lol: I had a feeling Alana would be coming home often. Enjoy your day tomorrow. I wish I was off:(

Jen, we're going to be lifetimers one of these days. We haven't given up & that's what counts. ;)

Myra, I hope the stress at home cools down. If you need to vent e-mail me anytime. I'm a good listener:)

Terri, how's Brittany doing? Tell her I said hi
How do you like the WW online? What's the difference between e-tools & online? Sorry for all the questions.

Till tomorrow.

I just might take the day off.

Hugs everybody!

09-26-2001, 10:11 PM
Hello Ladies

I just got home, waiting for hubby to get in from golf. (they went at 5pm, right after work) and I need to figure out what's for dinner.....I just don't know.....

Essie ~ I guess is WAS pretty funny when I was 2 people. Boy, do I wish I was right now with all the stress and work at the office. :dizzy:

Janie ~ I never understood the confusing about Zoe and Patti.........my user ID on every thing I sign on to is Zoe. When I got comfortable here, I used my real name which is Patti. I guess I caused a little confusion here......and yes, it's "our" (Patti/Zoe) vacation that's ruined. :(

Dianne ~ no problem with the Patti/Zoe thing. I really did think it quite funny back then.

Jen ~I'm not a lifetimer either.....just never get to that point. :(:(:(

Terri ~ It doesn't matter if you call me Patti or Zoe. And thanks for the compliment for my baby, Zoe.....she IS a cutie!! L|:D

that's it for now. Have a wonderful evening....I'm going to try to relax....work has me frazzled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

09-27-2001, 03:41 AM

Thanks for always asking about Brittany. She loves your messages. She is doing great. She is back on points. She goes off and on. typical teen. She is funny. I don't think there is much difference. I am still exploring. They are trying to help with the absences of meetings. e-tools is in addition to the meetings.
I like the stuff they give me to work with.

Congratulations! That is great! Proud of you!!!!

With my imagination I am surprised I am not annorexic. I can get myself worked up about strangers food.

Enjoy your time with your baby. That is sweet. She misses you guys.

Well ttyl,
Terri

09-27-2001, 01:32 PM
Thanks to all for the Congrats!!

Hi Myra,
Great Job!!:D I knew you'd do well this week. I hope that your stressful homelife calms down soon!

I am sorry, I didn't know about your little deception. Now that I know a lot makes sense now that I was confused about. I guess we all need a good laugh once in a while  Sorry you won't be able to go on your vacation. Vegas is a lot of fun.

I have 18 more pounds to go!! The first half went pretty quickly (12 weeks), I am hoping that the second half will be as swift.

I am glad that your daughter is coming home to see you often. If I remember, Binghampton is a lovely campus. WHat is she studying there?

Hi to Joyce, Jen, Essie, and Mom4,

09-27-2001, 06:04 PM
Hey Jen,
How about Sammy Sosa!?!? I hope he makes it.
How many games are left?

Congrats JanieD.

I am SICK!!!!! I have a Bladder INFECTION! I am going to whine. I hate this. I haven't had one in 20 years. :(

09-27-2001, 08:05 PM
AwwwwwwwTerri:( Hope it goes away real soon. How much has Brittany lost so far? It's hard for us adults I can't even imagine how hard it is for a teenager to stay OP. I bet she looks fine just the way she is. She sounds like a real sweetie.

JanieD, you have done so well on WW!! You go girl:cool:HIGH FIVE!!!!!

I decided to go in to work today. It was nice & quiet. Alot of people were off. Some took off just to stay home with their kids. I'm staying home all day tomorrow to clean. I want to change curtains, clean my oven & lots of other fun things:rolleyes: Saturday will be food shopping & the movies. We're going to go see Don't Say A Word with Michael Douglas.

Myra, I hope you're chillin;) Try not to let the little things get to you, okay buddy? It'll pass.

Dianne, hope you had a great time with Alana.

Till tomorrow.

Hi Jen & Joyce & Mom4:wave:

09-27-2001, 08:31 PM
Thanks Essie!
Britts does look good but she isn't satisfied with her tummy. When she gets the little pooch down she will be fine. She is still growing. Thanks for asking.
I want to see that movie. It looks so good. Let me know how you liked it.

I was supposed to play soccer with my youngest's team for practice. Since I am sick Brittany volunteered. Hate to miss it. :sarcasm:

09-27-2001, 09:03 PM
Myra! another good loss.....you go!!
I'm so happy for your success. :D

Terri, gee, too bad you have to miss playing ;) but I can sympathize w/you about the bladder thing....go ahead and whine. Make sure you get lots of rest and liquids. I used to get them about twice a year.....yuck! Since the hysterectomy I haven't had one :D

Today is Brandon's birthday, he's 6 :) Joe and I went shopping at
ToysRUs and had a blast picking out stuff for him; then we went to KidsRUs and got him some outfits. They'll be over on Saturday to celebrate, we're all going out for pizza. Brandon called me this morning and said "Gram, I know you have the streamers up" so I've got to get busy tomorrow and have all the decorations up for his visit on Saturday. I love that he loves tradition already!

Essie, you'll be busy tomorrow. I enjoy days like that when I get lots of jobs accomplished. Let us know how the movie is, it sounds good.

 HI to all of you's....have a great Friday!

09-28-2001, 12:50 AM
Happy birthday to little Brandon. You are a special gramma.
Is he in kindergarten?

Bradley's team beat the parents. :o
Brittany said she had fun.
She tripped this little boy that she can't stand. He is one of those tattlers and screamers and whines and tells the coach he is a terrible coach and he just doesn't want to be a part of a team and blames everyone else when he does something wrong. Always yelling at Bradley. :Breath: (I have no issues with this kid- :s: )
She insists it was an accident.  :nono:
Outside I was saying "Brittany, you shouldn't do that."
inside I was saying  :smoking: ;)

:slinking away now:

09-28-2001, 12:59 AM
Hi guys:wave:

Terri -- Sorry about the infection, drink lots of liquids. Also I heard Cranberry juice is good for that as well. Feel better soon.

Congrats, Myra - you are doing so well.

Janie - Binghamton is really pretty and huge. I think Alana is studying "Partying 101" Just kidding, but she tells me about all these frat parties she's attending. Actually she has always wanted to be a teacher and she's interested in psychology too.

Essie - "enjoy" your day off tomorrow:D Tell me how that movie is......everytime I see the coming attractions of it on t.v., I get nervous when I hear that girl saying "I'll never tell" in a really scary voice:devil: Enjoy your weekend.

Jen - Happy Birthday to Brandon. I'm having a party for my grandson Michael on Saturday too, he'll be 3. His mom is so funny. She says I just want to cut a cake, that's all. Then 2 days ago she asked me if I would mind if she rented a clown to paint the kids faces, etc. and to please decorate.

Patti/Zoe, sorry to hear about your vacation plans getting messed up, but hopefully you'll be able to go soon.

Hi Momof4, change your mind about joining us :( ?
Hi Joyce, hope you are well.

Well, back to work tomorrow -- so weird to have a thursday off and have to go back friday, kind of screws up the weekend:s:

Talk to you's tomorrow.

09-28-2001, 08:55 AM
IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!! yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Dianne, I work 4 days a week but once in a while I go in on Fridays. I usually regret it once I'm there & it does throw you off a bit. (the weekend) Pete always tell me to be grateful I have a job. Everytime I get stressed I repeat that a few times to convince myself:lol: Happy Birthday to Michael. My nephews, my brother's twins will be 4 yrs. old October 10th. They are little chatter boxes:dizzy: They try & talk to me at the same time. I love them so much. Their last name is Rodriguez with blonde hair & blue eyes, just like their mom.

Terri, what are you drinking for the infection? I heard cranberry juice is good too. I had a bladder infection back in 1992 & I had lots of pain. I sympathize with you :( Way to go Brittany (only kidding) I'm glad she had fun. Do I sound like her #1 fan?:D

Jen, Happy Birthday to Brandon. Smart kid. He knows his grandparents will go all out for him. ;) Enjoy the pizza. YUM!! I will be busy the whole weekend. Won't give me time to snack!

Hi Myra, Janie, Mom4 & Joyce:wave:

You's have a great day:)

Janie, in case you're wondering what's with the "you's", that's what we say in New York. Our slang for "you all".

09-28-2001, 11:13 AM
I wasn't kidding. Brittany likes you too. :)
I take it you are EXCITED about it being FRIDAY! I am too. I love the weekends.
Those twins sound so cute. I'll bet they are wild. I miss toddlers. I guess I'll relive it through my grandchildren someday.
Brittany just informed me that she will have no kids. Too painful.
I told her "You'll change your mind" she said "No way". I think I will let her keep that thought for awhile.
I bought Lite cranberry juice. Still thinking of points.

Thanks Dianne. Happy birthday to your little baby too. Lots of little birthdays in the next few weeks. My nephew just had his on the 19th. He was 7. Michael's mom sounds like me. Everything starts simple and then... I love kid's birthday parties. All my kids go to pool parties or sleep overs now. I miss doing all that cute stuff.

Have a great Friday.

09-28-2001, 12:45 PM
Hey everyone,

Terri, lite cranberry juice is a smart choice. Too funny about Brittany just happening to trip the kid she can't stand  that's what we'd all like to do at times! :D

The circus is coming to town, it's that time of year. When my kids were little, like 8 and 4, my Dad took us all to the circus, haven't been there since. I bought tickets this morning for Joe, myself and Brandon. Don't see any sense in taking Matt, as he's only 15 months and won't sit for 5 minutes much less 2 hours
I'm looking forward to making it a special night out with Brandon, but it's not till November.

have a good weekend!

09-28-2001, 01:00 PM
That is so cool Jen! Brandon will love it. Creating memories is what it is all about!!!! I love the circus.

I have had fantasies about tripping that kid.
Have a great weekend.

09-28-2001, 07:53 PM
Hello Ladies,

Jen, when I was small my oldest sister always took me to the circus. You'll enjoy it.

Terri, at the rate David's going, it doesn't look like I'll every see grandchildren:rolleyes: He loves kids & they love him. All the girls he goes out with have kids already. Brittany sounds like my niece. My niece says she's never getting married or having kids. It's a phase. I HOPE!!! I do love Fridays. Since I work Monday thru Thursday I consider Friday my 1st day of the weekend. Thanks for the e-mail with all those cute puppies!! They were so adorable.

Have a good evening everybody:wave:

09-28-2001, 08:06 PM
The puppies were cute huh. :)
It has to be a phase. Could be all the birthing parts of shows I make her watch. David will find the right one. You'll see.
It will just hit him. Good thing he doesn't have a biological clock.
He is still so young.

I lost 1.5#
Brandon gained 1/2#.
2 weeks ago he gained 1/2 and then last week he lost 1/2
and then this week he gained that same 1/2 pound back and he gets this little look on his face and said
"Has this ever happened to you before mommy?"
Oh I had to get out of there before I laughed. I came back in and said "Oh yes! and then some." Such innocence.
I told him I wanted him to stay around this weight cause he looks good and he will grow taller and the rest of his little tummy will slim out. It is barely sticking out now.
He said "I will runner more at football practice." So that can't hurt.
Brittany hasn't gotten out of bed yet. I'll report her progress if she lets me. lol

09-29-2001, 10:59 AM
Hello my friends  ~

Another much needed weekend is here. I have had such a stressful week and between these horrific events in our country and the events at work last week, my eating has been so bad. I have not been OP AT ALL! As a matter of fact, I've been eating like I was trying to gain weight! :(

Terri ~ I'm so sorry about your bladder infection. Those are not fun. I hope you're feeling better now, hopefully very soon. Yes, cranberry juice is wonderful that that.

Dianne ~ We've been to Vegas before but the difference this time is that it was a mini family reunion and my sister was going to get married there next week. Her and I had a great relationship but online/email only. We live 1800 miles from each and haven't seen each other in YEARS! I was really looking forward to it. She will be planning a trip to FL around the end of March so we'll plan to be there too.

Hi Janie, Jen and Essie and all the other 'lost souls' we haven't heard from. Have a great weekend. It's been alittle cool here , like fall may be coming........halloween, Thanksgiving, cooler weather....yeah!! :)

Patti <><
