Good luck! You're a braver woman than I am - I know I couldn't give up food.

I'm doing LL rather than Cambridge but I guess the principle's the same - keep going! It gets so much easier after the first week. i'm only on week 3 but I'm never hungry - in fact I'm struggling to remember to fit all 4 shakes in!! Oh, and my house has got SERIOUSLY organised with the extra time I've got, too!

Keep going and be proud.

thanks for all the support everyone, its very much appreciated.

My husband is not supporting me on this at all. and no one else knows apart from yourselves.

DAY 1

got through ok. . I was pleasantly suprised how un-hungry I was!!!. I drank loads of water, and apart from nipping off to the loo all the time havent had any ill effects or anything!

Ok, I was fancying some food, but it wasnt from hunger, it was just because it smelt nice.

The shakes have all tasted nice so far, and the soup one I had for lunch yesterday was fine.

I know its early days yet, but so far all is going ok!!!

I have read that may start to feel a bit off when my body realises there are no carbs being consumed and has to start eating from my own body stores!! but just taking each day as it comes.

thanks

I know what you mean, even though have only just started I found extra time to get all the ironing done last night. as I didnt have to cook any tea. Left hubby to fend for himself.

Its nice not to have to be 'worrying' about what to eat. !! how many points it is etc etc.

Deb im a bit in your boat my husband doesnt support me at all... Infact hes the first to wave crisps, Chips, and offer me food alllll the time. Or even has the nerve to say "what you making me for dinner"

There are certain days that are really bad for me and i just cant be around food. and he knows this and totally plays on that.

Or he will eat a box of roses in front of me.. I mean come on i have will power but i get frustrated!

So im glad i have here to keep me on track!

When do you know you are ketosis properly ??? how long does it take or is it an individual thing.??

Hi Deb i bought from the chemist Ketosis test sticks

They range from 5-8£ for 50 sticks... Day 3 you should be in Ketosis.... if not today tomorrow for sure!

But anyway these test strips you urinate on them and match them up on the bottle with the colour. Purple means ketosis..

Boots has them or any chemist. they may have to order them but they can generally get them within 24 hours!
