I went to www.therecoverygroup.org. I've actually tried a few times now and when I click on the doorway it takes me to a starchat room.

There's never been anyone in there except once there was someone confused like me, trying to access a meeting?

Can anyone advise on how to get in?

Thank you,

Charlene

Click on "doorway to TRG OA online meetings"

On the log on page, you don't have to type anything, just click "connect to star chat"

Meetings are Every three hours ~ Midnight, 3, 6, 9; Noon, 3, 6, 9 Eastern Time I'm not sure what time zone you're in. You'll have to figure out what time it is where you are when it's 12,3,6,9 on the East Coast.

If that doesn't work, let me know, and I'll find some other way to help you get on there.

I got in, thank you.

I was at the right place, just noone was there yet. I'm mountain time. There was no leader but someone came in and fudged it and did a great job.

There was some great sharing.

It feels so good to hear others that share my pain.

I don't think I've ever met someone who is a coe, or at least admitted it.

Thank you again.

Charlene

Excellent! Glad that you got in.

A lot of people don't even know that they are a coe. I didn't know I was sick or addicted. Before I found OA, if someone had told me that they were a food addict I would have thought they were crazy. I had to be ready to admit it to myself, and then it took some time before I could admit it to anyone else. I had to reach the depths of desperation and fully realize that I could not help myself before I could even entertain the idea that I had a problem with food.
