Holy- rats! My DH has an affinity for running over nails and screws too. What a drag!
They get wood but no hinges! And we are in record deficit why?! You are a good woman giving that boy some privacy!
And 100 cal over! Not bad! All that and a bag of chips, as they say...
Jenny- I like the sounds of the 3 hr diet. Simple, easy, flexible. It actually sounds very similar to WW in that once you get your points level, you end up eating in a daily pattern like that.
Mamabear- OMG sounds like you had an aweful time! Worrying about health of any fam member but DH is really heartwrenching! I am glad they didnt find anything too bad and hope this is the end of it for you. Good luck getting back on track yest. My day is today!
Today I just re-looked at the USDA site at MyPyramid Tracker. It looks a little more user friendly than Fi Day and I like the whole food groups idea. It keeps me more balanced. If I am keeping up with my milk, fruit and veg intake I am less likely to chow on chocolate. I just need to find wwhat works for me. South Beach just DID NOT stop my sweets cravings. Ugh!
My dad and step mom are coming today to celelbrate dad's b-day with us! I am looking forward to it. I love them folks. t is a gorgeous (though chilly) day and foliage is peaked so a walk will be in order with them plus I think I'll walk to the barn to do stalls today too. Today is a new day!
Hope I started this thread ok! First time!

I guess this is where all the action takes place. :)
Does anyone else out there have days when they're HUNGRY but there is nothing that sounds good? I'm having one of those and ended up skipping breakfast (save for a couple of apples) just because nothing appealed to me.
Sun is out here one the east coast of Canada with moderately mild temperatures. Might use this favorable weather to get a little end-of-season yard work done if I can motivate myself to do so. :p
Mom is going to be arriving late in the day tomorrow. She's visiting for the week to take care of our two adorable cats while the wife and I are off to Ottawa the following weekend. This may or may not be a challenge to keep "on target" with my calorie intake since Mom is a big fan of dining out when she's away...not to mention that I'll be dining out while out of town next weekend. :o
Oh well. Enough yacking. Gotta get my buns in gear.

I will post later weights. Hopefully the days of walking and ab workouts will show an improvement.

Hi All,
I've gotta go back and catch up on some reading, but just wanted to pop in and say hi!
RX, you can come do some work around here too! Are you and DW having a romantic getaway?!
Squishy, I haven't checked out that My Tracker, I don't think....will have to check it out.

Holy/Lauren -
Fortunately for me, at this time of the year, there are very few mature trees in my neighbourhood which means that there are VERY few leaves to rake. Mostly the "yardwork" will involve putting down some lime and fertilizer and - if I'm ambitious (unlikely :D) tiding up the flowerbeds for the winter.
And dispite your generous offer of providing me of some additional yardwork, I'll take a pass. ;) Like you, I hate raking... That being said, I do miss the big trees around here like we had in my childhood neighbourhoods. *sighs* Oh well, just means I have to get out of town and into the woods for a walk once and a while.
Lauren -
Actually, the only reason we're going to the capitol is because a friend has a kickboxing semenar to attend there. We're using it as an excuse to visit with an old University buddy (and his wife) - like we always do when we get into town. They're recent parents (1 year old DS), but this will be the first time we've met the tyke. DW and I are looking forward to it. :D
All fun and games.

Hello all --
Just joined yesterday and thought I'd jump in to this thread too.
Eating is going well for me, but I am having a hard time getting to exercise (I like to walk). My DH is away for two more weeks and I have 3 children, 4 and under, that make my power walk more of a mosey! :p I'm going to try dusting off one of those old exercise videos that I have!
Take care,

Hehehe well the tree's got tons of little leaves....my problem is lack of pretty grass in the front and back yards. I saw someone putting out sod yesterday and i thought, what a great idea.........i could probably do that by myself. I might see what the cost is before I get crazy just planting grass seed before rainy seasons starts :D

Ugh. I'm tired! We had the family b-day party for the man and the girl. Andrea was thrilled with having a Cars cake. LOL I'm getting her a cookie cake for her friends party next weekend though so she'll be fine. It was just a busy busy day. We had the party at Chuch E Cheese and it was hotter than Hades there! Between chasing the man and sweating my butt off I'm sure I made up for the 3 pieces of pizza I ate. Plus I didn't eat lunch (late breakfast).
:welcome2: Lawrence. Glad to have you with us. And good for you taking dw out! We need that sometimes. Can you call my dh and tell him I need to go out too? LOL
Squishy, good luck on getting back on plan. We can do this girlie! Just take it one day at a time.
LOL Jean. I know what you mean about walking with little ones. LOL That's how it is when I go with the man without the stroller. :welcome2: also!
Everyone else  !! I'm going to lay on the couch and veg! Have a great night!

Evening all,
I am offically MOBILE!!! I cleaned my stinky, dirty, smelly, yucky, poopy house...( Ok maybe it didn't really smell) I was crakin' the whip I tell ya!! Then it was off to Ikea. Lil Feller LOVED it. That place is freeekin' Ji-normous. We needed a new upright dresser drawers for our room. Poor DH is assembling it now. ( For those who don't know, Ikea is a Swedish furniture store that is very inexpensive but you load it and you assemble it.) Right as I was collaspting on the couch my phone rang and I forgot I had rehearsal...Flew out of the house and arrived 30 min late. My Bass player had some "have a seat" news..He has carpal tunnel and was directed not to play anymore by his Dr.... DAMN IT!!! Now he will have to be replaced and we will be stuck in the studio for months waiting for the new guy to learn all 60 songs. I'm gonna miss him. As far as my Plan... WHAT PLAN???? Argg. And I can't exercise for another week.
Lawrence~~ We don't get many fellers here...Welcome! Have a carrot.....:carrot:
Bonnie Jean~~ Welcome to you as well!! Here's your carrot.:carrot:
Shout out to alll else!!!

Well, today was my first "official" weigh in. And, tah dah...I haven't moved anything significant. :( I was/am frustrated, but I have to keep telling myself that I'm still trying to get into the routine and things are going to take time to get the ball rolling. Just keep on trying to watch what and how much I eat and (somehow) get a regular exercise routine into the works. Too bad I'm such a lazy bum! :o
Holy: Keep in mind that once you have that 'pretty grass', it'll need to be tended to. :D That's something that I don't actually mind doing. I find mowing theraputic and will take that ANY day over shovelling snow....which will be coming in a couple months. Anyway....sod isn't too bad. Just make sure it gets plenty of water after it goes down. Seen some baaaaaad things happen when people just toss it down and forget about it. Of course, I'm not an expert either... :?:
Molly: Thanks. Great to be here (or, back I guess....originally joined eons ago then promptly did nothing with my membership.). DW and I love to travel -- of course, being trapped in a car with her for 12-14 hours should be amusing. At least we've got my friend with to give her someone else to pick on. :D Seriously, it should be a great time.
And why does it have to be the DH's job to plan a weekend away? Ever consider planning something for the two of you yourself and then sending him a special invitation? ;) I know I'd like that...and maybe that'd get his butt in gear and he'll take care of the next one. Hmm....maybe I'll have to drop a subtle hint to the DW about this one too. I'll probably get the :club: but it'll be worth it. :D
Stevi: Thanks for the :carrot: , how about a :cb: back to you. Hopefully by having a chatty guy in the forum, it'll encourage a few others to come out of the woodwork. :) Hope you're back is feeling better and that things work out with the new bass player....when you find one. One of my 'life long' goals is to learn how to play the guitar. I just don't know if I have a musical bone in my body. :dizzy:
Alright. Time to get this day started. Everyone have a great day!

Bonnie Jean- I diod the tape thing too when DD was 4. It was great and she like doing it too!
Stevi- sucks about bass player left. With all those events planned!
Mamabear- lets get on the horse again. Started yest but found more chocolate so starting again today with chocolate in someone elses care. How are you doing?

Morning all!
Welcome Lawrence and Bonnie Jean!
Jessamy~I am going to head over and check out the USDA tracker, sounds interesting. If you come up with any sure-fired way of kicking the sugar, please share, I have yet to conquer that myself!!! Someone told me once to try avoiding fruit (along with all other sugar) for a few days and then re-introduce the fruit only and it might help, but I can honestly say it did not sound great, so I have not tried that yet!
Stevi~So Sorry to hear about the band! Good luck in your search for a new member~hope he learns the music fast! What have you done to your back????? I missed the end of last week's thread, So I am lost now!
Mamabear~sounds like the b-day party was a good time. I know what you mean about CE cheese being so hot!! We have taken the kids a few times and it is always like a sauna in that place......so many people I guess.
Well, my weekend was dreadful! I woke up Fri morning and could not even stand up straight I was in so much pain! Called my DR and he was sure it was appendix, so sent for a CT scan. Nope, not that. So Now we are still trying to figure it out. Just stabbing pain in my side that does not completely go away and gets worse when I eat anything. I had my gall bladder out last year, was having the exact same symptoms (no upset stomach then or now, just PAIN!!) Doc gave me his cell # just in case it got worse or I needed him for anything, but it is pretty much staying the same, no new developments to report so I did not bother him. I hope this either goes away or they can figure out the problem, I hate feeling like this! I even had to miss DH's cousing's wedding this past weekend. I insisted he go and have fun and I am glad that he did, but so wish I could have been there! My parents came and took my boys for the entire weekend (that almost never happens!) and here I was in too much pain to enjoy any of it!! :( (Sorry to sound like such a whiner, most of you know that I am not usually so down.)
Well, I am going to try to get something productive done now, chat again soon.

Darcy, super cute family! Hope you feel better soon!
Lawrence, I suppose you're right. I shouldn't wait for dh to plan something. If I don't do it I can't be upset at him for not doing it either. ;)
Stevi, sorry to hear about the bass player! That stinks. My friend is trying to put a new band together. The old group broke up and he hates not playing.
Squishy, yep, let's get up on our horses again! I think I've been good. LOL Haven't written stuff down but kept a tally of points in my head.

Darcy -- great looking family!
Today is a dreary day in Florida. Pouring down rain! I need to go grocery shopping, but going to try to wait until the rain stops! My neighbor said she will take my two oldest so I don't have all three. Taking an infant is easy! Other then that I think it's a laundry/change sheets type of day!

Hello everyone!! I finally have my 'puter back!! Yeehah!! Not that I'll be able to post much, my darlin is still attached. Lord love 'er I can't believe she is almost for months old. Where has the time gone?
Welcome Lawrence and Bonnie Jean! It's wondeful to have you both here. We're a great bunch of folks if I do say so myself :) .
Stevi: Sorry about your bass player. My DH has taken up the guitar. He has a group that gets together once a month to play. They are all beginning/intermediate players. They have a great time and it makes my DH very happy (it's at our house).
Darcy: I sure hope they figure out what's wrong soon so that they can fix it. I love the pic. You have some cute kids there (you're not so bad yourself).
  to everyone else!
We went on our annual pilgrimage to a state forest to see the fall foliage. It was SO beautiful! Alex took his backpack and magnifying glass. He toted our water. We had to stop every few minutes to look at rocks, sticks and leaves with the magnifying glass. It was so cute! We hiked for over an hour. It was great.

I had a long post typed out, and DD who was laying next to me on the couch, stretch, and I have know Idea how, but she bumped my laptop, and bye bye went my post. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH. My good mood just went out the window. My connection is so slow. I have been up for an hour, and am still on this stinking PC. Teeth grinding, ok, I'll get over it.
Holy, that stinks about the nail, you'd think they would be more careful about the parking lot.
Lawrence. I have a hard time too when going out of town, and with company over. Best wishes.
Squishy. Love your enthusiasm.
Momma bear: We may go to Chuckys in January for DD's BDay. What's it like price wise for a BDAY party?
Bonnie Jean: I'm with ya on the video, a friend of mine dropped of CORE, and I thought I'd give that a try.
Laundry and sheet, yep, sounds about like my day ;)
Stevi: 60 hours? Wooow that's a lot. DH plays guitar, as well as my 15 1/2 wannabe DD.She also plays piano, and drums. Her Dad plays bass, and I think piano. I am taking piano lessons. I've only had 2 lessons, so its yet to be seen if I have any real talent. My singing is just everyday average soso, you get the point.
THe painting was a hit. Everyone loved it. My BF from MO loved it, and wants to buy one for her little girl. She just gave me a huge garbage bag of very nice hand me downs, so there is no way I will charge you. (this always happens to me. I end up doing things for friends, and never get around to selling. Oh well, It will be good practice. after all I've only done one)
Darcy, sorry your down and out. GET BETTER SOON!!! Your family is beautiful ;)
Hi KarenK: Ahhh, a hike sounds wonderful!! I gotta remember that this week end.
We are back for MO, I ate horribly, but it is now time for me to drop down to 20 points, so it was one last hurrahh for me. My scales dropped down to 149 at one point, so thats what I will set my tracker at. I won't be getting on the scales anytime soon though he he, I don't wanna know if it climbed back up. I got tons of house worke to do and ebay pics to take, and to smelly dogs to wash so its time for me to get off her

Mornin'!!
I've been up with the lil Feller since 5am, actually I Got up @ 4:30 to make his bottle and he then was all smiles.:bb: Made Banana choc chip bread....MmMmMmmm...Hate to let bad bananas go to waste. I did it low cal...sorta. Back is a lil sore from yesterdays activities. DH said "the floors could have waited two more days..." Ummm..NO. Lil Feller likes to sample all things small and yucky that he can find on the floor. :barf: Shut him up and made him feel kinda dumb...Tee hee.. I love it when that happens:yes: cuz he's the smart one. I actually have a lil song and dance I do when I know something he doesn't, Yeah, Pathetic. Whats worse is I've only performed it about 4 times.:dunno: He's a triple degree kinda guy (spend most of his adult life in school) Private school before that AND he's a trivia nut case.:blah: I always profess to be the TALENTED/CUTE one....Take that Mr. Smarty PAnts.:woohoo:
RX~ Just for the record. At your height and being male, it doesn't seem your any too over weight. I wish DH was your weight!!! He was when we met 4 years ago. False advertising I tell ya.:rollpin:
Christi~ Your eyes are failin' ya Sweets. I had to go back and look so I know I didn't type HOURS....I typed SONGS. You silly nilly. Each song is about 4 min. so about 4 hours of music. Glad you are already getting offers!!! Make sure you take really good pics and build a diverse portfolio.
Darcy~ Such a nice family! You go ahead and whine all you want! I have been Queen Whiner for a week +. I slipped my L5 disk. MAJOR owie.:faint:
karen~ Nice to see you again! I stunned Lil Feller gonna be 8 months! He was just so tiny!!
LAuren~ Hey there Hot stuff!
Squishy~ I fear nothing will stop my need for sweets. However!! I am pleased to announce That DS#1 and I stopped by Coldstones Creamery day before yesterday to share a small and neither He or I could eat more thana bite or two. :cheer2: What a waste of $5. It was way to sweet and rich. YAY!! We used to go there once a week!

I have little to no grocerys, so a healthy snack is nearly impossible. Oh well, super time's in about an hour and a holf I think I'll make it...

I officially believe my scale is out to get me. TODAY it's trying to tell me that I lost 2.4 lbs since I took my weight yesterday. HUH? :dizzy: I know I shouldn't obsess over the scale, since everyone does have their ups and downs, but I didn't know that we fluxuated that much. :dizzy:
So when do you fine ladies update your status bars to reflect what the scale is saying? Once a week? Once a day? NEVER? :D I think I just want to actually see progress.
Another sunny, but cool, day here in Eastern Canada. The frost is burning off the ground at the moment which has blaneted us in a THICK fog. That should be gone in the next couple of hours. Probably go for a walk with my mom after the DW heads into work. (Karen has the right idea - the fall colors are beautiful at the moment so why pass them up.)
:D Thanks to everyone for the continued welcomes. :D You guys are such a great, welcoming bunch!
Darcy: Not to even SUGGEST this, having experienced it myself, but do you think it could be a kidney stone? They're AWFUL. You're seeing a doctor so you're doing everything you can be doing. My thoughts are with you and I'll be sure to send good vibes in your direction. :goodvibes:
Molly: When planning something "away", it doesn't have to be anything elaborate either. Take him for dinner and a movie and then work your way up to a romantic weekend away. And make sure there's no 'special occasion' either. Sometimes the best surprises are the ones with no reason attached.
Or maybe I'm just a closet romantic. ;)
Bonnie Jean: You know, your comment about being the "trip planner" made me think. Perhaps instead of type casting roles (i.e. it's always hubby who plans the trips, so maybe wifie should try it once and a while) MAYBE it's better said that the spouse who normally doesn't make the plans should make a "surprise" plan for the other. Yeah, that's probably better. :^:
Stevi: Oh you! :o You certainly know how to start MY day on the right foot. When I saw a nutricianist some 6 (:( ) years ago, she set my goal weight at 180 lbs for my height, so that's what I've always set. Of course, if you look at all the charts and hoo hah that's online, they place the TOP of my "ideal weight range" at around 175lbs... I figured that if I ever get to the 180 lbs range, I'll assess things at that point and go from there. I don't think that I'll be overly concerned about that any time soon. ;)
Christi: Don't starve yourself, hun! I don't know how the WW point system works, but I just can't see feeling hungry as being a good thing. :(
Well, better get some mint tea into me -- try and shake this scratchy throat before the weekend -- and get this day started. Have a great day folks! :D

Squishy,Wanna,Stevi,Goddess,Rx,Bonnie, and everyone else....Hope you are having a beautiful morning! It's raining here in ETN. But I woke up to another sweet surprise, like Rx I'm addicted to getting on the scale and I know I shouldn't, I just like knowing all this hard work is finally paying off! Anyway I lost another pound! Everyone should know that I have been trying for the last few weeks with no losing whatsoever! It's finally paying off. But it will take another 10lbs for anyone to even tell that much of a difference! When I look in the mirror though I feel my face is slimmer!
I have found a way never to feel hunger pains at all! Here's the secret WATER!! If you can drink 10oz before a meal and 10oz after a meal, not only will you eat less you get fuller quicker! I promise this really does work. I took me about 2 weeks trying different ways to drink water and this is the easiest! I drink 20 with each meal and cystal light water with my snacks! I know most of ya'll think yeah yeah, water but I was a avid Coke drinker!!!! After 2 weeks of just drinking water I quit ALL sodas for good! I reallly thought it would be harder than it was! I use to drink soda all day long, now I sip on water usually flavored thoughout the day. I usually drink anywhere from 80 to 100 oz a day. I find that I am more likely to drink it if it's in a water bottle, so I buy a case and then I just grab one out of the frig! OK I'll stop preaching now!!!LOL
Since it's been cold here, I made homemade veg, beef soup! It was a good way to get in extra veggies! Those of you on WW may already know this but I found a good dessert to makeL: Lowfat graham crakers with ff cool whip. Take One Graham craker break in half and take 2TSP of cool whip put in the middle make a ice cream sandwhich out of it and freeze it, This is so good! I usually eat two every nite!!! There very low in pts and calories!
OK, I"m done......Sorry to bore everyone to death! Hope ya'll have a great day!!!!

I was sabotaged I tell ya! Yeah, that's right SABOTAGED!! I did so well yesturday. I was back on track. Well, DH went to the grocery store for me. That is the first sign that a disaster is headed my way. So, he picked up a box of oatmeal cream pies and half gal of ice cream!! He told me he was going to. I asked if he would get sugar free pops or ww fudge cicles instead. But no this is what he was craving. I thought "It will be ok, I have 4 points left, and one pie is 4 points. I ate that first pie, and it was pure bliss. I don't even care for them much, but have been eating the low cal kind. When the real stuff hit my tounge it was all over but the crying. I halfed a second one with dd, and then another. I had a little over 2 1/2 of the snack cakes. I went over 6 or 7 points. I was so sad, I really wanted to rewind the whole scene. Then I was kinda mad @ DH, but I won't hold a grudge, I ate it, he didn't make me. (You should've seen what he ate) ( I sent the rest of them to work with him this morning, I said "I don't care what you do with them, but they can't stay here!!")
We'll today is a new day, and I am more determined then ever!!
JennyMarie ETN is that east Tenn. I used to live in Columbia TN till December of last year. I totally agree with the water thing. It makes all the difference. I have to stay away from soft drinks too. If I drink them, I don't want to drink my water. I love veg beef stew. I was thinking about making chicken stew tonight, ever make it?
Rx, Thanks for the advice, I'll try not to starve. (I don't think I'm endanger of that anytime soon ;) )
Time to get to work, Didn't get the ebay stuff done yesturday, so I've gotta finish that today. Plus, I haven't touched the house work since friday. UGHHHH.

Good morning everyone. Welcomes to all newbies!! :welcome3: [You'll all find that I will almost always refer to you by your thread names....I'm not too good with real names  Sorry!]
Jenny ~ H2O, baby..........that's the way to go! I'm a water drinker as well. I allow myself one diet coke (or diet DP) a day. That method usually works well for me! The graham cracker dessert sounds yummy! I'll have to try it. :)
RX ~ Unfortunately, I've not be able to change status bar in a while. I seem to be plateaued. Ugh. Oh well...at least it's not going up, right? BTW, I liked your suggestion of the "wifie" also contributing to the romantic aspect of the relationship! Touche! Both me and DH contribute a great deal. In fact, he just told me he's set up a babysitter for Friday night and is taking me to this really cool restaurant. yeah, me..... We do things like that for each other. Recently, I planned a weekend in a city not too far away and we did about six (6) wine tours (that's our thing!). Had a blast! :cofdate:
Stevi ~ Can you feel our connection?!?!? I, too, have a multi-degreed hubby! Two masters degrees and two undergraduate degrees. Ugh....talk about feelin' stupid! Oh, yeah---I hope your back gets better! don't over do it, silly.........
Goddess ~ Olah!
Wannabe ~ Only 20 points? Is that enough? :?: I'd be starving, too!

Good Morning All!!
I'm in the same boat as RX and Jenny -- I weigh almost every day! Sometimes twice a day! I know it's really bad to do that, but I've been losing so rapidly on phase 1 of FSD that I can't hardly wait to get on the scale in the moring! That being sad, I am now down 10 pounds and soooooo happy! :goodscale
WannaB - my father has never had a weight problem and whenever he would buy chips, cookies, or other no no snacks he would keep them in his truck so he could eat them at work! I have now gotten my husband to do the same!
Hope you all have a good day! Off to the grocery store!

So I wake this morning thinkin' "today is a new day" ( Its the Chicken Little in me) Put on my clothes and take DS#1 to school. Lil Feller fell back asleep on the way home and is now all snuggled in with Daddy. I get back, make my coffee, have a Zone bar (love em') and totally forget to weigh myself. DAmn it!! Yesterday I skipped it intentionally....I'm ascared ( I know thats not a word, but its funny:lol3: ) After being layed up for a week, eating whatever DH and MIL scratched up ( I'm the cook in these here parts) I just didn't wanna look. I'm sure to remember tomorrow. I'm a bit anal about morning weigh in due to a sometime 4 (yes 4) lb variance later in the day. If I could only go out and exercise! It makes it much easier for me to stay on track. My back is definetly not 100% though. I'm gonna shut my pie hole, stop my complaining and be thankful I CAN MOVE!!!
Christi~ "because you can only start so many sentences with the word Well..." LMAOROF:rofl: !!!! Where your lil oatmeal pies Lil debbies types? Argg!!! They are like 3/4 sugar. Blek. Bad, wannabsize7, BAD! :club:
RX~Those charts have a tendency to be BEST case scenario. As if all of us have the capacity to be perfect. I truly think they low ball. Way back when (bout 8 years now) I lost bout 60 lbs striving to "meet the guide lines" @ 140lbs I was at the tippy, tippy top of my "healthy weight" range and you could see every bone in my chest. Granted my legs where still very meaty (THANKS MOM!!) but thats just me. Wonder if I should tell DH he's nearly 70lbs over weight?...Maybe later.:sumo: I change my tracker the minute I drop a lb! I weight once a week normally.
Fit~ Hello fellow in house Dullard!:)
Holy & Jenny~ I like the SB choc chip cookies frozen with lite cool whip. 120 calories! Jen, Congrats on your water apiphany, soda is the DEVIL!!! I've never been a fan of sugar soda ( I like to call it liquid candy), I do diet soda but prolly like 1 or 2 a week. With DH and DS#1 we go through 2-3 12 packs a week. Egad.

Fit, 20 pts, thats what I read, maybe I should double check. (hopefully I'm wronge LOL)
mommaof3: That is a good idea, but the diff with me is that hubby needs to drop about 20lbs himself! He's supposed to be on ww too, but I'm the one who has to count for him.

I am alive- just busy in still trying to figure out next game plan. I may be applying for another PT job of 14 hrs a week. I am thinking about it anyway. It involves 1 hr commute and if they want 2 7hr days I will have to deal with childcare. Ugh. I would love 3 5hr days but then the driving is more! hmmm it WOULD keep me out of the kitchen with my mouth chewing!
So the goal yest was to rid the house of chocolate and unfortunately I did not do the throw-it-out-the-window method. Ugh. It is gone though...:nono:
Wanna I feeel you pain! I put snacky things in DH's truck too so they arent in the house. One more thing- DONT COUNT HIS PTS! :soap: Dont be his pts police. if he wants to lose he has to do it himself. Sorry, but it is true!
Stevi- :faint: sit down, girl! So he eats something gross! He will live!
Goddess- glad to hear the measurements are showing progress!:cp:
Bonnie Jean- Way To Go! :carrot:
Fit and Stevi- I have degree and DH has GED and he is the smartest of us! He reads ravenously and thus knows way more than me and has a way better vocab (not to menshon spellin! lol)! I kick his butt in science though in Jeprody!
JennyMarie- water- whats that? Oh yah! I'll try it. I am bad now that it is COLD out! thanks for the reminder...:D
RX I change it down whenever I can and up when I go back down half way to where I was! lol :chin:
COOL I just found all the other emoticons. See what I am saying about college not making one swift!:yoga:

Jessamy: I know you are right about DH's points, but the poor soul works up to 12 hrs aday, with a 45m commute one way, plus he goes to the gym3-4 days a week. I buy grocery's, as well as pack his lunch and make supper, he makes very few food choices on his own anyway, but you are right, he needs to learn to be accountable for the choices he does make.
Karenk: I am hoping to get preggo once I get the last 15lbs off. Then I will be a nursing momma too. When the time comes, I'll take any pointers you may have to offer. I tried to BF DD, but she was "tounge tied" and couldn't latch well. I kept at it, but I offered her a bottle after the first month, and though I tried and tried, (and cried, and cried) I couldn't get her to nurse. I kept pumping for 2 months after that. I finally gave up when she was 3 months old. It was the best choice I could have made. So, when #2 comes along, I want to be armed (with knowledge) for every possible obstacle. Everything should be fine next time around, but if not, I will give up after the first month.
Ok, the reason I came back here today (I know I post way more then my share of post a day) Is that I put yesterdays info into fitday, and I had only had 1266 cals!! and I figured that 20pts is only 1000 calories!! Hmmm, am I doing something wrong?
Yesturday I had
coffee for BF (Iknow, Iknow)
lunch was a healthy frozen dinner
snack was 5 peanuts, and 5 pieces of candy corn
supper was 3oz broiled chicken (boneless skinless)
squash, broccoli, and stewed potatoes. (had cream of chicken in it, and a little skim milk)
then the inevitable 2.5 oatmeal creme pies.

Just have a sec before the rain comes and ruins my tools I left out. Wannabe- if the next one is tongue-tied they can do VERY simple surgury and snip the frenulum (thingy that holds tongue to base of mouth) and it works- have a friend who had it done on her babe and he nursed 12 mos!
I wish you well!

Squishy, Yep, We had that done for dd. But it took 3months to #1 realize she was tongue tied, #2 research the situation, 3 find a doc that would do it. (everyone I talked to said that there was too much risk, ya da yada. And they said you should wait till they are I think it was 5 years old. Then it requires anstetic, and stitches, I think it even called for putting them under. Well, I did my own research online, and Saw that it was actually much safer to do as a baby. One snip, a drop of blood and it was done. #4 found a doc to do it, and by that time she was 3m and was pretty hooked on the bottle. I was still getting milk, but not a whole lot. Thats when i called it quites. Oh well, you live and you learn!

Hi all!!
Lawrence, it's best if I do the planning. DH isn't a good secret keeper. lol He tried to plan a surprise party for my b-day 4 yrs ago but I knew about it. To this day he doesn't know I knew. ;) I change my ticker every time I lose. LOL Never if I don't. I ignore it till I have another loss. Isn't that terrible?? LOL
Fit, hiya! Life is good here. How about there?
Christie, we didn't do an "official" CEC party. We just showed up. The parties are way too spensive. I did one for Andrea for her 7th b-day and it was like $7.99/person. So we went in with coupons and got 3 pizzas, 12 drinks, and 300 tokens for less than $100. When I did Andrea's party it was over $250! :yikes:
The man did really good at play group today! Woo Hoo! I left a couple times for 10-15 min and he barely noticed. We're getting there. He's been in a good mood all day (he's in bed now but did good all day!). OK off to work on my site again! TTYL

I do the same with my ticker. I only move it if I lose, but not when I gain. It works for me ;)
Holy, You are SO gonna meet your goal!!
I did good today. I ate my 20points. Yes, I am hungry now, but hey, bed time will be here soon.

Well, the scale continues to hold at the lower weight (+/- 0.5 lbs) for the second day in a row so maybe I really DID drop those pounds. :spin: Now the challenge will be to keep the momentum. Hope I can, especially where I'm going away for the weekend! :o
DW and I have both managed to get a scratchy throat. Always happens when you're planning to go away, doesn't it? :dizzy: Of course, it also turns out that the people we were planning to stay with are all suffering from strep throat - including their little one year old - so we were already starting to make alternate accomodation plans. Things will cost a little more, but what the heck. It's only money and we'll have more next week. :D
Today - little does the DW know - I'm going to paint the bathroom ceiling with the help of dear old mom. The paint is WELL overdue for replacement at this point - the walls are fine, but the ceiling is peeling a lot. Been putting this off for the better part of 2 years, so I thought I'd surprise. Especially since I hate to paint, am INCREADIBLY lazy, and am not the most handy around the house. ;) Oh well, anything that keeps me busy and me out of the food can't be all that bad.
Hope everyone has a great day! Stay focused peeps!

Hoping to hear from hubby today, hope you guys have a great day :)

Well, the scales came down s2 lb. I gotta drop 1 more to get to my tracker weight. Weight you gain fast seems to come off fast if you don't wait to long to notice it (does that make since. )
Ok, now for TMI (2muchinfo) I have GOT to get weight training. I am getting smaller, but my shape isn't changing. I can wear this dress from my pre baby and pre weight training days. When I was around 145-150. Now I am 150 again, but this dress does NOT look the same. I gotta get this belly flat. Its hard to get motivated for that part when we're thinking about having another baby kwim?
Lawrence: You hit the proverbial nail on the head. I do my best when I am busy. Boredom is my worst enemy!!!
HOly: I wish I liked fish, Its so so good for you. But soo soo yucky pee uuuu

Well, Here she is. Maleificent is complete. The fixative I spray on them is a bit shiny so its gotta lil glare. They all need to be scanned onto a disk. Next is the Evil Queen from Snow White.
I bit the bullet and hit the scale this morning...NO BUENO. I'm up 3 lbs!!!! Geez. I just had a new bathroom floor installed with new tile so now my scale is really consistent. I weighed 4 times in 4 different places and it was 213 every time. I geuss thats a good thing....I liked it better when I could take the lowest of 5 trys!!!:D I'm gonna go all protein for the next two days and then go back to controling my calories and carb/fat intake. I think I'm ready to hit it hard again. Been at this 6 months...with 5 weeks off.
Christi~ Fish is so yummy!! I have lots of people say they don't like it, until I make it for them! Ya just have to get it fresh and season it right. Oh and over cooking can really kill it.

Stevi-Love Malificent! (sp) She is HOT! Great job! Sorry about the 3 lbs but as Wanna says (or I think its what she was saying) they will come right off. Sounds like UR remotivated.
I had an interview witha guy whop wants barn-work done. Yippee! I had to break it to him that he will be paying more than he wants but whipped out my brochure I made up and he was impressed. Hey, if he wants some teenie-bopper cheaper thats fine but they wont show up half the time. This guy's close and has lots of horses but a low-maintenance set-up so it should be easy. I am goping to go tomorrow and try it and one other day and then give him a flat price for the job. I am psyched... I saw another job posted that looked ok but it is 1 hrs away and that means childcare which I dont want to do if I can help it. Plus all that damn driving cuts into the ole payrate doesnt it?
I am eating ok and have gotton down to 1.5 lbs over my low of 161. I am ok with that and the rest should come fast now that I have my wits about me and chocolate all eaten!
DD got fitted for orthotics today since she is knock-kneed and her ankles twist inward. It should fix her complaining up and let her run pain-free. Insurance wont pay but I'll be writing thema letter appealing it since not running leads to obesity, diabetes, and osteoporosis! I will lettum have it. What do you think Holy!? Will I win?!

Hello!
Jessamy~love the new avatar pict, sure is pretty! Is that from last winter, I hope??? I am SOOOO not ready for snow yet! I am in upstate NY, in what is commonly referred to as the tug hill region/snow country. We get lots of Lake effect snow here.
Stevi~LOVE Malificent!! Beautiful work! Sorry about the +lbs grabbin on, but you were laid up a bit there, so stick with it, I know you can get rid of them!!
Christi~WTG on the 2lbs!! You are SOOOO right about the body not being the same after babies, it is just not fair!!
Holy~you are a trooper, getting up 5am and working out! Hope the hubby calls!
Lawrence~WOOHOO you on the dropping pounds!! Hope you and your DW are feeling better for your getaway! What a lucky woman to have you painting! Interior painting usually falls to me because I like to play around with faux finishes and my DH does not want to mess with that. (he is otherwise very helpful with household duties though.)
 Hello to everyone else!!
Well, saw Doc today and we are trying some stuff (anti-spasmatic) to see if it makes a difference with the pain and also he is testing me for food allergies because it may be related. I am still having pain, but am hopefull that he will fix me up, I'll keep you posted.

Well, as I expected, the scale rebounded a little today snatching a supposedly lost pound back. *sighs* Oh well - it's alright - I'm sure I'll snatch that pound back and the others in no time. No negative thinking here. :dizzy:
Painting went well yesterday and I am very pleased with the results. Fortunately for me, we were only doing the ceiling and only doing a small room. Took about 45 minutes of painting before you could have a seat and wait for that coat to dry. :D Not quite sure what I'll be doing today...all of my 'projects' for my "vacation" have been completed. What a sense of accomplishment.
Tomorrow, we head to Ottawa for the weekend. This is a good 13-14 hour road trip. HOWEVER we still have not heard from the guy we're supposed to be travelling with. I HATE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT ORGANIZED. I'm not really a "last minute, spontanious" kind of person. Last we talked, we were leaving at 6am (not sure how he's even getting to my house -- he lives 30 minutes away in the WRONG direction, so I sure as heck am not picking him up!) but we're not sure where we're staying! (Since my friends have Strep and all. :| ) I think I might have to knock this bozo on the head and find out what's going on. :frypan:
If I don't get a chance to post before I leave - or at all over the next 4 days - everyone have a GREAT weekend and stay positive! :coach:
:Lawrence
P.S. On the discussion of Fish -- I like it, but I NEVER have a clue how to cook it so the DW and I never buy it. The biggest and most important step you can chose when preparing fish is to ALWAYS ALWAYS buy it fresh. It'll save that "fishy" taste most of the time.

Thanks for all the compliments!
Went to that Magician of a Chiropractor yesterday. I think I'm in love.....He's about 65 and married but I'm smitten none the less...lol Gotta go apply for Lil Feller's SS# in a bit. Something went wrong at the Hosp..So now I gotta get it done. The geust bath looks much prettier now. I bought new curtains, rugs and towels to honor our new floor. Me likey, DH says "its too girly!" Wait'll I re -do the bedroomm...he he...Diet, I did pretty good yest as it was my offical day back at it. I am just writing everything down cuz Fitday gets on my nerves all that inputting and crud...I tallied it this morning and I ate less than 900 calories! Opps. Didn't seem so little. It was the choices In think. All FF this SF that. Won't kill me for a few days anywho. Mel hasn't been on since Oct. 4th....I hope all is well.
Christi~ Maleificent is a drawing. I use Prisma color pencils. They are alot harder tahn a pastel but much softer than a reg colored pencil. They also color over each other and blend...Love em! YAY on being sore! I can't wait to get back at it next week.
Goddess~Skinny jeans...Ummm...NO. ALL of my figure flaws are below the belt. Yesh, great idea, put on the TIGHTEST pair of pant I can find (enter sarcasm)...I don't think so. My DS#1 likes them though. The boots would definetly help only I have 13' calves! I can NEVER get high boots....it SUCKS!

Butterfly :welcome: You've come to the right place for support!! Glad to have ya. The key to weight loss success is... DON"T GIVE UP. Even if you have a bad day or even a bad week, Just jump back in there. You know if you give up completely, you will not only gain the weight back, you will gain MORE. Its a know fact. So no matter what slow and steady wins the race. Even .5 lbs a week is better then gaining 2 lbs a week right? So, keep up the good work, it sounds like you're on the right track already. What kind of program are you on?
You go Squishy!! Never doubted you for a min!!
prisma colored pencils HMMMMM, I learn so much from you. It makes me feel better that it is a drawing. I was looking at the details, and thought "there is NO way I could do that" but maybe with a pencil.... well, with a lot of practice that is. I would LOVE to take some art classes. Its worth looking into anyway.
I have some pastel's around here some where, but I never really got the hang of them (I never tried too hard either though)
I plan to hit hobby lobby tomorrow. I want to get some canvas', and maybe some paint. But the acrylics are all I've used, and oils are expensive (I've never used them before).
I saw these wooden plaques in walmart craft section. I thought they would be just the thing for the my little pony scene. And would work well with the paint I use. And I was thinking about doing some classic pooh nursery wall art. I've sold bedding in classic pooh that has done really well on ebay. Worth a try...
Sorry to talk your ear off, but your the only one I know that's "into" this sorta thing.

Jasmine ~~ welcome again and hang around this group you'll get sucked in as i did you wont be able to leave it's such a great bunch here
Thanx hun! I love all the girls on 3fc already. It's like one big family!!
Hi Squishy and butterfly!!
JAsmine~ Welcome!! I've seen you around. I'm a SAHM as well.
Hi Stevi! I noticed you are in cali too! I am about 30 miles south of Barstow. Where are you at??
The older kids are all in school thank God so it is just Katy and I during the day. She will be 3 in December. :D
Okay so this has been a strange week for me. I am calorie counting and use fitday. I also rely on this: Womens Nutrition Health Guide (http://nutrition.about.com/library/bl_nutrition_guide.htm)
Since I have been tracking my averages this month of cals:
The first week I averaged 1850 a day weekly(with 60 minutes of walking, 6 days a week)
The second week I averaged 1880 a day weekly(with 60 minutes of walking, 6 days a week)
I have lost 2.5 pounds a week so that is good. This is what I eat on a typical day:
Breakfast:
1 apple, 1 orange, half a grapefruit, 1 banana, sometimes I'll add strawberries or blueberries but I make this into a smoothie with Ice!
Lunch:
1 slimfast, 2 oz of tuna(in water) w/ 1 tsp of light mayo, 1-2 slices of whole wheat bread. I only do tuna maybe 1-2 a week, you have to be careful w/ the mercury! Or I have a little bit of peanut butter on the bread.
snack: 1 yogurt or 1 serving of total(no milk) or honey bunches of oats(no milk)
Dinner:
It varies. I try to do boneless skinless chicken breast with 1 cup of rice (I am working on switching to brown)and brocolli and carrots 3 times a week. One nite, usually Sunday, I will have red meat like low fat roast or a steak with 1 cup of mashed potatos and a vegi.
The other nites I will have bean and cheese burritos w/ spanish rice, go easy on the cheese, sometimes use mozarella. Or once every few weeks we will have lasagna(in moderation) or chicken enchiladas(in moderation) . I usually have to have tacos at least once a week or I freak! lol With chicken though. I use olive oil to fry the shells in. Once a week I will go out to eat for lunch and I tell myself I can have whatever I want! I remember even last year that would mean a 1/4 cheeseburger with fries and onion rings and sugary soda and lots of ranch and thousand island! But I have since cut out sugary soda completely! It's just not worth it! If we go out to eat at a nice rest., I will have a salad w/ ranch, (which is like once a month) Plus a burger and fries. But I don't dip the fries in the ranch or thous. island no more and actaully seldom even get onion rings any more. Next time we go, I am going to see if hubby just wants to split the fries with me and our daughter who is 2. Last time when we went out to eat I gave her 1/4 of my burger and that shaves cals off right there!! Him and I and her had split one fry and 1 onion ring and even brought onion rings home for the other kids cause there were so many but next time I go I think the 3 of us will just share 1 fry.
Anyhow, I just thought I would let everyone know a little more about me and my eating habits. As I get to under 200 I might need to reduce the cals a bit and the strangest thing is happening. This last week i got sick. It was really bad for one day and just so - so the next. But it really threw a wrench in my eating and I was actually worried about eating enough!
Sunday was 1836 cals
Monday was 846!!! (I was sick!)
Tuesday was 1497 (still low for me!)
Wednesday was 1414 (STILL low for me!) That is a total of 5593 divided by 4 days = 1398 cals a day on average!! That is a big drop from the last few weeks!
On the one hand I haven't had my day out yet. (The last two weeks I goofed and actually had TWO days out each, one day with burgers, next w/ nacho bell grandes, my other passion!!) I havent kicked myself though cause i am still losing my 2.5 a week and the big thing with me is this is NOT a diet, it is a new healthy way of eating so it has to be livable for me. :D
Okay, but all this being said, I am actually very tempted to maybe try to get to a lower calorie range. Sunday is my major weekly weigh in day and that will be a big determining factor.
Oct 1 ~ 228.5
Oct 8 ~ 226
Oct 15 ~ 223.5
Okay so the kicker here is I am already at 221.25. I really think I can get to 220 by Sunday which would be a 3.5 pound loss this week instead of the normal 2.5. :D So I think I am going to try to keep my cals lower this week, only eat out once and if I do lose an extra pound then I am going to try for another similiar week. Where is fiddler? IS she in this group? Cause she says she is losing 4 pounds a week and I really wonder if I apply myself more if I can at least get to the 3.5 pound a week pt. That would be awesome1
So that is what i am up to. I have been torn the last few days. I have been wanting chicken cheese enchiladas for a week but then got sick, and now when I told myself to just do it tonite, then I remind myself of my goal, and the fact that I am also going to be eating lunch out tomorrow and I really want to get to 220 by Sunday! What to make, what to make! I was already bad this a.m. I normally only do fruit til noon then have my slimfast and sandwich and coffee. But I forgot to get more fruit yesterday so I had a few baked fries and I really want a grilled cheese for lunch(which I rarely ever do any more) but the main thing stopping me is I want to be good. I am putting it all in fitday and my normal daily goal is to stay within 30%fat or lower and 20% or more protein. I can make any of this work if I want to but idk, maybe I should just try to have another reeally good day. *big sigh*
What is everyone making for dinner tonite?
Do you all have a weekly weigh in day?

I bit the bullet and hit the scale this morning...NO BUENO. I'm up 3 lbs!!!! Geez. I just had a new bathroom floor installed with new tile so now my scale is really consistent. I weighed 4 times in 4 different places and it was 213 every time. I geuss thats a good thing....I liked it better when I could take the lowest of 5 trys!!! I'm gonna go all protein for the next two days and then go back to controling my calories and carb/fat intake. I think I'm ready to hit it hard again. Been at this 6 months...with 5 weeks off.
That is a very nice painting!!! Can't wait to see the next one!!!
Get back on the wagon hun! Check out my womens health link if you haven't already. My head became so much more clearer after seeing that!! You can do it!! You and I are close in weight although our heighth's are different. What weight do you want to get to??

Thanks you everyone for making me feel welcome. WannaBsize7 I am currently doing the Biggest Loser Diet plan and I like it. I get a variety of foods and I like that. I havnt been able to work out today becasue my 2 children are home sick from school today but I will be up bright and early tomorrow. I did try my treadmill but something wrong with it it acts like the motor is losing power. I guess it about to retire. Not too bad I have had it for about 4 years maybe 5. Time to get a new one. Again I want to THANK everyone for making me feel welcome and I will be back.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to drop in to see how everyone is doing? I had a good day today despite the drizzle of the rain!!! I went to Wendy's for lunch and Had a small chilli with a side salad/lite honey mustard dressing.....It was so....good! And for only 2.10, what a bargain! I love the dollar menus!lol:carrot:
Jasmine....HI! I have been counting calories for awhile. I eat about 1400 calories a day. I usually have breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack, dinner, This has been great for me to keep my metabolism up all day. I write everything in a food journal, and I drink ALOT of water!!!! I quit all sodas and fruit drinks. My average meals are something like this: Breakfast 7am Oatmeal with 1/2 banana with 2tbsp of pecans and splenda brown sugar with 4oz of OJ.{I drink 10oz of water sbefore my meals and after my meals} Snack at 10am Pria snack 110cal.{very good!} 1pm Lunch Chili side salad with lite dressing, Snack 4pm Yogurt with fruit, Dinner 630pm Veg stir fry with chicken and brown rice with duck sauce and for dessert I like graham crackers with coolwhip frozen! Its like a icecream sandwhich. I have crystal lite water usually once a day, and sip on plain water the rest of the day!
But congrats on your weightloss!!! That is great! I have a friend who calculated her caloric need by a formula in a 1970's Betty Crocker cookbook. It was your weight x15-1000 that equals how many calories you need to lose about 2lbs a week. Now she lowered her 15 to about 13 because she did not exercise, but this worked for her and she lost about 45lbs. This may help give you a estimate on how much you need?! Not everyone is the same so you need to find what works for you. I'm between 177-178 right now and it took awhile for me to find what worked for my body. I was eating 1200 and it wasn't enough and several posters told me to up that and when I did I started losing! So maybe with all the suggetions you'll find what works for you! Lots of luck!!!!
Hope everyone had a great day! Sorry for the long post......;)

SOunds good Butterfly. :D
Well Jenny that is great! Yeah I know what is working, just seeing if I can tweak it to lose more. lol I don't want to go to low though cause I know that also wouldn't work! haha My hubby called on his lunch and said he does want enchiladas for dinner so I will be making them. mmmmmmmm I think 1400-1700 is probably a good range for most women to lose.
My Aunt is doing 1200 and not losing so I told her she might want to up it a bit too. I also want to leave myself a chance to go lower later if need be.

The trip has been cancelled.
Recall that my friends were sick - Strep Throat - which meant that we were left looking for alternate accomodations. The person the DW and I were travelling with could not afford the additional costs incurred by a hotel and, without our travelling partner, we can't really afford to make the trip alone.
We're probably gonna replace the "big trip" with some shorter "day trips" and maybe even an overnighter sometime. However, the weather is supposed to be really crappy all weekend. :rain: That kinda excludes any outdoor activities, though mom has suggested that perhaps we might do a local winery tour and sample the wares. Who knows.
Regardless, I'm feeling REALLY bummed out right now. :( I guess the only thing "good" to come out of this has been that I have refused to give in and eat to feel better. I guess I know that I'd just regret it in the end.
I just hope my willpower lasts until the end of the night and that I'm feeling a little more upbeat in the morning.
I'll talk to you all in the morning. Have a great night folks.

Then My # gets called and the lady dosen't even look at me. She tells me my son's # was sent out FEB 28TH!!!! I ask " does that mean its probably stolen and being used by someone?" No answer. Hello everyone, I'm still alive!! I'm sorry I haven't been around, I've been insanely busy, I worked a ton the last couple of weeks (and I can't get on at work) and so between work and kids and their activities I didn't have much time to get on the computer at all. I read all the posts in this thread for this week, but didn't see last weeks, and this week's took me forever to read, lol, it's been busy!! Welcome to the new people!! WTG on the losses, sorry for the gains.
Stevi, the picture is awesome, love it. Sorry about the bass player.
Wannabe and Molly, thanks for thinking of me!! Made me smile!! :)
Everyone else, I'm sorry I don't have time for individual responses, but I did have thoughts about each post I read, lol, I just don't have time to go back and read all the posts and make replies like I usually try to do, 6 pages is just too many to go through, lol.
I didn't lose anything last week (but didn't gain either which I was expecting after my 5 pound loss the week before) and was only down .8 this week, but hey, I'm ok with that, that's still 5.8 pounds in 3 weeks so hopefully next week will show a better loss...we'll see, my body isn't always the most cooperative creature on earth. ;) I have tomorrow off work and then work all weekend, next week we have our ward "retreat"...and I just have to add, retreat is not the correct term for it as we've had one before and it's really just a big class that all the staff have to attend at one time, lol...the one good thing about it will be that it's on a day I would usually work anyway and I won't have to get up at 5am since the class starts at 8am instead of the usual 6:30am that I have to be at work, so that will be nice. Then next Friday I am letting my little ones have a Halloween party, I'm hesitant about the whole process myself, lol, and the 28th I plan on attending my cousin's Halloween party and am quite happy with my costume if I don't say so myself! Now aren't you guys so glad that I told you a rundown of my oh so exciting schedule, lol. Well for now I really gotta head to bed, stayed up late so I could catch up here, I'll pop back on again tomorrow!!

I won't post much since I already ranted a little last night, but the scale did reward me for my behavior last night with a 1/2 lb drop to bring me closer to where I was earlier this week. Hopefully I can keep up the trend.
My mood hasn't improved all that much. I guess I really don't handle disappointment all that well. I read a little last night (finally getting around to reading the latest Harry Potter book) and was generally reclusive from DW and mum. Besides, they were all about Grey's Anatomy last night anyway.
Weekend plans are still up in the air, though the weather forecast for Sunday has certainly improved. Here's hoping it stays nice. :crossed:

Are you not eating after 2 p.m.?
Hi Melody and Roadrunner and Holyterror and Firtafter4!! Thanx for the welcome!! Hi to anyone else I missed!!
Okay so I felt like I was on a binge yesterday. The day started off bad with no fruit for breakfast, as my usual. I wound up having a serving and a half of baked fries around 10:30, a slimfast around 12:00, coffee before noon! But I was still hungry so I had a half sandwich witha tsp of pb and was still hungry so made half more. I had made some chicken in the oven for the enchiladas but when it was done cooking I wanted it!! I told myself to go ahead and eat it, instead of binging on something else1 So I had 5 oz of that. Then I felt fine. I kept stalling on my walk so didn't wind up going. :( The hubby came home I didn't even feel like cooking. So he made hot dogs for the kids. I had one huge hot link in a tortilla with mustard. Later I had a bagel with 2 tbs of FF cream cheese.
My cals ended up at 1672, fat was 32%, carbs were 43%, protein was 24%. Still not bad considering I was off track. The cals didnt get too high and the fat wasnt too bad. I am down to 221 this a.m.
Today is supposed to be my eating out day so I will go at luch. I need to get 1 more pound off before sunday!!! I need to walkk this off!!

Jasmine- looks like those fruits and veg are key for you too! I am just figuring that out too. I tried South Beach but I think depriving all the carbs made me go crazy. I'd rather eat fruit every day than bags of candy every other week! I put things in the way of walking too.
RX- So sorry to hear about the trip. I like the sounds of day trips esp the winery idea:cheers:! lol How about a day spa or a night in a nice hotel with a hottub and swimming pool! :swim:
Fit:getwell: -Sorry to hear about the bug. Glad you held off the vomitting for after the big customer! Looks like you and NailLady need stocks in chicken noodle soup!
Wannabe- have a great shopping day. I am sure the wannabdd will love it too and that your dd will love having her along!
LBH and Mel- welcome back!
Holy- I made pizza last night!:hungry: I put whole wheat flour in the crust and just sliced onion on my part. Yummy! So sweet! i made the edge of the crust too think but that was good cause I didnt eat it all then. It was fun and yummy! Then we topped off dinner with apple crisp. Its a fruit right? Hehe. I DID substitute 1/2 of butter with canola oil in the topping though. patpatpat on back(-:
Butterfly- string cheese, carrots dipped in PB, waterwaterwater, a walk, a salad my defenses against the munchies!
Just got back from the barn, now off to shower and be Betty Housecleaner! YUCK! I hate it! At least I did the dump run this am and only have one to go on the way to getting dd at school. The joys of country living... no curbside!:lifter:

Mel!! glad to see you back!! We missed you! Sorry that you're busy too. lol
Fit, sorry to hear you're sick. That's so no fun. Rest this weekend and let someone else take care of the house! You need that.
Jasmine, I had 2 kiddies from a previous relationship but my dh has bought and paid for mine too. He officially adopted them on Jan 3 of 2002, then we had one of our own 2 yrs ago. So my kids are 15, 13 and 2. LOL I've been a sahm mom since the man was born (we call him that cause the man runs the house lol). I have 2 projects that I work on. I have one site where I sell bath & body stuff and I make jewelry for that site. Then I just started a new one where I paint canvas tote bags. That's brand new though and I only have one bag on it. LOL
Lawrence, you could take a weekend away or even a night. I agree with squishy on that one!
Holy, again my hat's off to you for getting up at 5 am. I just don't get that. I'm more of a night person than a morning one. Yuck. lol
OK I'm out for now. I'll be back later. ;)

Good morning,
I'm On a roll!! I've been on plan two whole days! I should be over the hump after today. Amazing how stinkin' sleepy ya can get when you restrict your intake. Protein works wonders. As far as Lil Feller's SS#, He was given the same #. They will not give you another unless you can prove the original is being used fraudulently...So Great! (sarcasm). I did call the credit bureau's and "red flagged" his #. Would really suck if he had bad credit before he could walk.
Mel!!!!! Nice to see ya! Glad your seeeing losses no matter how small. Sorry your so busy!
Molly~ That is so cool, your DH adopting your 2. My half sister was never able to be adopted by my father because her father wouldn't allow it.

OK, I have read and tried to catch up!
Bonnie Jean - :welcome2:
RX - My DH would never plan a surprise getaway and if I did, it wouldn't be a surprise, because he's not into them...wish he would realize I AM though!
Doing any more painting? Oh and I don't update my stats unless I have a loss!! I'm soo bad! I was glued to Grey's Anatomy last night too...
Darcy - How are you feeling?
Jenny - Love the dessert idea! How's your MIL today?
Christi - No more letting DH shop! Why bother losing 15 lbs. before getting PG??
Squishy - You work too much!
Molly - Glad play group went well! What euchre club??
Stevi - ARGH! Sorry about the gain. Did you take pics of your "new" bathroom?
Jasmine - :welcome2: Looooong ago we used to have "official" WI's and exercise reporting. Haven't don't anything official in a long time, but we always love to here of the progress!
Holy - Glad you got to talk to DH.
Bonnie (#2!) - :welcome2:
Mel - Good to see you! You've got to put a smiling pic in your avatar though! You look mad or sad or something. :(
Fit - Hope you're feeling better now!
Anyone I didn't mention,

Good morning everyone!
Hi RR.
Lawrence, hope you guys end up finding something wonderful to do this weekend to make up for missing the trip. WTG on being back down the 1/2 pound.
Holy, sorry your tired, hope your day at work goes well.
Lauren, hope your able to get out of work when your supposed to, I always hate it when I am planning on leaving early and then I can't because it's too busy. LOL, yeah I know I look sad in that picture, I had a few new pictures and I look that way in all of them, not sure why other than I don't like the way I look in the ones where I'm smiling, lol. I'll have to try to get some more soon. I'm not sad or mad in them, just not smiling but they all look like I'm just miserable, rofl. ;) I'll work on it.
Wannabe, thanks for the welcome back! Have a great day with your family shopping, I spent Wednesday shopping with my Mom and we had a nice day together!
Fit, so sorry you were sick, I absolutely hate throwing up, although I honestly rarely do it, I haven't thrown up from the stomach flu since I was pregnant with my now 15 year old son (so for about 16 years). I've gotten sick with surgery though and with gallstones when I had them. Hope your all healed up now, glad you were able to take the day to rest!
Jasmine, sounds like you did good for a day where you were feeling like being off track! WTG! And wtg on your loss!
Squishy, I should be cleaning my house today too, but instead I think I'm going to jump in the shower and run to the store and then come home and relax and watch the LOST dvd's I have here, lol. I might also get some laundry done, but not planning on much else.
Molly, thanks, I missed you guys too, I felt bad for not being able to get on and see what everyone was up to, it just seemed everytime I tried something else came up! Thanks for thinking of me!
Stevi, wtg on staying back on plan for 2 days!! Sorry about the little guys ss #, that would be frustrating and would really suck to have bad credit before a guy can even walk, lol. Hopefully it just got lost in the mail and nothing more will come of it.
Bonnie, wtg on doing the whole walking tape especially when you weren't feeling like doing it!!!
Well I'm off to jump into the shower and get a couple things done for the day! Hope everyone has a great Friday and a great weekend. I work this weekend, but so far just 8 hours each day, so that should go by quickly!! Talk to you all soon!!

 Goddess: I am so sorry to hear that George is going away. It must be so sad. I wish we could all :grouphug: . You must be heartbroken. How is the family doing with support for you?
It does sound good that this is something that has been considered by both of you in the past so you are both used to the idea. I wish him, and you, well.

I am so hungry this afternoon and I don't know why! I think I am going to go make some hummus and eat it with some raw veggies. At least I'll have something to snack on to make it to tonight!
Hope you are all doing well!
Take care,

Fit  why on Earth do you feel like you don't beling here?? We love that you're here and we want you here! As for George, it sounds like things worked out for the best for him. If you were considering boot camp anyway and now that's where he's been sent...
Lauren, there's a few of the girls I used to work with and we get together once a month for euchre. We take turns hosting and it gets us together and out of the house. It's really fun!
Stevi, yeah dh is a trooper! Taking on someones else's kids. My ex didn't even show up to court for the adoption. We had to run an ad in the legal news for 2 weeks stating our intent and we sent a letter to the last known address for him and basically if he didn't show up then he forfeits his parental rights. So it all went perfectly! The last time he saw Andrea she was less than a year old and he's never seen Bryan. It's not even like he was in their lives at all. He tried a couple of times to get visitation but he always ended up in prison before the court dates. LOL What a dumb @$$! My kids don't need to have visitation with a crack head anyway (he's totally drugged out as far as I know). He was when we were together and that's why we're not together...well that and the abuse...but that's a long boring story for another time. ;)
Well now that I've rambled on forever. LOL i have to get in the shower while the man is napping. TTYL

Mamabear ~ It's actually Goddess that needs the big hug! But thanks anyway.....
Goddess ~ YOU NEED SOME SUPPORT..... Why do you think you don't belong????? We are all here for you. What you're doing for your son is probably the best thing!! Tough love is difficult; but imperative. Hang in there. He WILL thank you for it someday.:)
Heading home for the weekend....hope everyone has a wonderful few days!

Hey now!!!! Whats the matter Goddess??? Was it something we said? :)Why would you feel you don't belong? I'm not clear what George has done but the Military school sounds like a really lucky break to me. Not only is it better than him being shuffled around in the system where no real rehabilitation happens but its going to be far more effective than being home. An outside party to give the kid a chance at a positive life. And the $$ you saved!!! 60K x2!!! Sounds like a really good thing to me, except missing him...thall'll hurt. You ABSOLUTELY belong. Now stop being silly....Silly.:D

I know I know....
I'm up by far to early on a Sat morning....Lil feller said..."Time to get up and play Mama!" I explained the whole "sleeping in" thing to him, he just seemed to babble and girgle not really pickin' up what I was puttin' down...lol:p
I weighed this morning...I was feeling a but more slender than I had been lately and thought "aw...heck. Why not now?!" I'm not only down the 3 lbs I gained but lost a bonus Lb as well!! Hoot! 4lbs!!! :carrot: I getta change my tracker! Amazing how much can come off in that 1st week back at it. I know alot of its h2O But who wanted it anyways! Gotta go to MIL today and sew up my costume...Did I tell y'all I'm going as Cyndi Lauper? Lots O crap to put on...geez! Gotta sew the shirt I have constructed.
Going to Disneyland tomorrow...Lil fellers 1st time. I know, 8 months is too young but I've never been at Halloween time and wanted to see the decor. I think we are just gonna get the cheapest annual pass...Tickets are $84 now!!! Geez louise!!! Last I went was 2 or 3 years ago (DS#1 is no longer impressed as he's too big now) The season pass is $125. I live about 6 miles away so getting over there shouldn't be a huge issue. It's just the extra expense once your in thats gonna be a killer with a pass. Ah well, everyone says I'm one of the only "straight" Disney freeks they've ever met. Geuss I should have one. :dizzy:
Ok well I just wanted to shout YAY ME!!!!! For my loss..I'm gonna be under 200 soon!! (**Knocks on wood**)
Have a great weekend!!! Kisses, smooches and love....

Squishy:
Jasmine- looks like those fruits and veg are key for you too! I am just figuring that out too. I tried South Beach but I think depriving all the carbs made me go crazy. I'd rather eat fruit every day than bags of candy every other week! I put things in the way of walking too.
Yeah whatever it is I am doing sure does turn off the sweet cravings1 Once in a while I get the urge for a slice of pie or something but when I do I get it, usually once a month. I used to LOVE ice cream! But you know what? I think the only time I have it now is like for a birthday or something and I really don't miss it! The difference with carbs is there are good carbs and bad carbs. fruits and veggies are the good ones! I still try to stay away from green beans, peas and corn, stuff like that. It doesn't seem to hbe as nitritious as the other veggies. But i do have corn once or twice a month but don't think of it as a veggie! What did you mean with your walking? What state do you live in?
mamabear272:
Jasmine, I had 2 kiddies from a previous relationship but my dh has bought and paid for mine too. He officially adopted them on Jan 3 of 2002, then we had one of our own 2 yrs ago. So my kids are 15, 13 and 2.
That is really neat! My new hubby wants to adopt but we might have to wait a while. I was hoping to sue my ex for abandonment because next January 2007 will be 1 year with no contact whatsoever! No call, no visit! No letters! Before JAn of 2006 it had been July of 2005!!! Since last visit1 It sickens me! Esp. since he wanted to drag me thru a divorce and try to sue me for kid custody1 I just found out though that since he went on disability thru soc. sec. and since they are sending me $500.00 a month it isn't considered abandonment!! Anyhow, what we really want is to be able to move from Ca to Mt where my hubby's family is from. I went down to the court to ask what to file and they don't tell you anything! I am thinking I need to modify custody and ask the judge for permission to move. I might try that in the next few weeks. if anyone has any knowledge or advice please let me know!
LOL I've been a sahm mom since the man was born (we call him that cause the man runs the house lol).
That is so cute!!
I have one site where I sell bath & body stuff and I make jewelry for that site.
Ooohhh!! I would love to sell bath and body stuff! I was telling my hubby that the other week! Is it hard to get set up??
Stevie:
Just hang in there! Glad your keeping on plan!!

Hi all!
I have tried to catch up, but with dial up it takes forever! sorry:(
Welcome to all the newbies!! :welcome:
Well, I am feeling better each day, the Dr's magic little pill is helping, hopefully we will have some answers soon.
Stevi~WOOHOO on leavin those lbs behind!!!! :carrot: I will be anxious to hear how the SS mess turns out, my youngest is 6 and I never received his card. I have called and filed forms, but they keep getting returned to me. They want proof that he exists, so I guess that I need to take him in along with the physical forms from his Pediatrician and Show them!!! Last I knew, 6 year olds did not have a drivers license or bills being sent to their home address, so I will just plop him up on their desk and that should do it! :?:
Michelle~ hang in there darlin', we ARE here for you!!
Fit~Glad to hear you are feeling better! There are very few things worse than throwing up!!!
Well, I have got to get some stuff done around here, have a great weekend!

Darcy~ The SS office will only Re-issue (as his # should already be assigned, YOU just didn't get it) in person. Got to www.socialsecurity.gov and click on the forms link, its on the right side and jumbled in with alot of other links. In the search put SS 5. Got to the last page and print it. The other 5 pages are the instructions. Fill it out and take it ,his immunization records, AND his birth certificate with you. You'll need your Drivers license only. They will tell you the # on the spot and have the card to you in two weeks. Wa la.:D
