howdy! new to the forums, and still relatively new to weight-lifting. I lifted back in University days, about 12 - 15 years ago now. I also swam every day (bonus of being a lifeguard & swimming instructor was hours of time in the pool!) and was in pretty good shape - too bad I didn't know it then! Anyways, I got pretty out-of-shape and quite a bit overweight. Something in me snapped in the Spring and I decided i did not want to be that person anymore. Dieted off 15 pounds through spring & Summer and once Fall hit, got myself signed up at the nearby gym & in with a personal trainer (cuz I know I need that push to actually go) and I love love love working with the weights!
At the moment my trainer has me working with the machines. Overall I'm happy with my general progress and can see improvements in uper abs, butt, and arms. I need lots of work in the lower abs area and general upper body strength.
I'm still trying to get the hang of proper nutrition, especially in relation to body-building.
I'm looking to end up with a sculpted, well-defined muscles kind of look ... got a ways to go!
