Default Hi Everyone:)

Hi Everyone,
My name is Denise, I am 43 years old. I had weight loss surgery on 2/06. I have lost about 60 lbs, and I am truly happy with the results so far. However, i notice ME, slipping back into old habits and patterns, for one I am a carb addict. It has been so hard to stay focused because of this.
I came on last night to actually research about the south beach diet. Not that I need a diet, but I need a healthy way to eat, and to detox the carbs out of my system. I dont even know if that makes sense, but right now I have to try.
I am so glad to have found this board. I need support and motivation.
I havent been exercising, I had 2 major abdominal hernia repairs in the last six months and I am scared of tearing again.
I am going to use my WATP cd today, because I can walk.
Thanks for listening, and sorry for the rambling
Denise

Hi Denise,

Yes the old habbits do tend to slip back in there if your not careful... I too am struggling with them. 60 lb loss is WONDERFUL!! congratulations.

Can't blame you for being scared of exercising, I would too. How about just walking for now... until your comfortable with it? walking is awesome and a good way to get in shape.

denise - the important thing is that you're AWARE of what's going on - and now it's a matter of learning brand-new habits. easier said than done, unfortunately.

we're thrilled that you found us - and trust me, it'll be OK. honest! you've done a great job, and for right now, just keep it going. you can do this.
