Well, I looked and didn't see the thread anywhere so here it is. If I have duplicated it, Lauren go ahead and delete it.
I've been busy and catching up is gonna be a challenge. Just being DS#1 taxi's is taking up alot of time!! Today I get to do all the laundry. DH has been relatively useless all weekend as he had a hard week and would appreciate being able to sleep and watch TiVo all weekend. Arg! When can I just take the weekend off? Buttface. The Baby fell asleep in our room last night and I asked him to turn off the TV (lil feller has been a BEAR!) so he woulsd Stay asleep and you'd have thought I b!tch slapped his Mama. Just go watch it in the living room and shut your pie hole Sparky! Sometimes he simply doesn't understand the inconviences and sacrifices a FATHER has to make. He was a bachlor WAY to long. I try to be understanding but he's just plain immature at times. ANYWAYS.....
Went to the Duck's opening game on Fri. Interesting. Hockey pretty ok to watch. ( I'm not a sports fan) We had to leave early to catch a friends band. They opened for a Led Zeplin tribute...OMG! TAlk about freekin' AWESOME musicans! They where collectively 400 years old but unbelievable!! That drummer had everything John Bonham had. I just stood there with my mouth open. My cousin came down to spend the day and have dinner on Sat. I made my FAmous (yeah uh huh.) Steak, bone in NY. Yumm... But the diet went to **** all of Sat. Oh well. Diggin' my exercise again so hopefully I will be successful at maintaining.

Fit~ I can see all of your pics...Your one hot lil project! DS is VERY VERY tall!! Mine DS is but a mere 5'6" and 150lbs. Erie how much the boys look alike. I really thought it was the same kid! Cute lil fellers. Your arms are just fine , you silly rabbit.
KAren~ What a punkin! You do what ever she says!!:D
Jessamy and Christi~ 12's? Its offical..I hate you both. I WANNA BE A `12!!! Seriously...WTG I luv you....mean it.
lAuren~ If I could just remember...Hmm....Musta been a lie.
Where's the Mel~ster!!!?? Shout out to ya!!
Holy~ I say, when the hag gets back with her Dr. note, you take it and cram it down her throat right after you've gouged her eyes out....Too much?
Malificent is near completion...I'll post when she's done.
Smooooches.

Hi everyone! I was told in my thread down there to jump into these threads, so here I am! Look forward to chatting to you all!

I had my first weigh in today, and lost 3lb, so am well pleased by that - though I am really feeling peckish right now! Spent the afternoon walking my dog, he is loving the new me - longer walkies for him!

Other than that I am gonna spend the night vegging and watching crappy tv!

Hello all! Sorry I have been keeping up on the posts (for the most part) but haven't posted myself. Work has been okay, my division moved from one area over to the other side of the building this weekend. I had to go in and set up my desk, of course the computer guy hadn't set them up yet, so who knows what my desk will look like in the morning.

I havent really monitored myself and have been feeling terribly sluggish, of course the weather changing like it has here has done havic with my sinuses. (High 70's one day, low 50's next) Molly how are you doing with that.

Anyways, thought I would say hi, welcome to the newbies! Off to take some Tylenol Sinus and nock myself out.

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! DD has today off for Discovery Day so I am hanging low with her and doin laundry (how do 3 of us make 5 loads in a week! not including towels and sheets!) Had a date with DH last night and sawThe Departed (I wouldnt kick Leonardo outta bed for eating crackers for sure!) and eat mexican. Blew eating plan yesterday but not constipated anymore! Beans and spice! WOW! TMI, sorry! lolol

Just made up a salald with all leftover veggies in drawer and beans for lunch. I REALLY need stuff like that around or lunch gets blown!

Took a long walk with DD on Sat. Gorgeous weather around here lately. Leaves are gorgeous erds and oranges and air is earthy and warm. I love NH fall! I will takes some pix today and post for all you southern gals!

Later!

Now I remember why I love you guys. Walking was the farthest thing from my mind, but after reading everyones post, I'm fixing go for it. First I'm gonna log on my desk top, and uploas the pics I was talking about last week.

The house is a wreck from the weekend (as alway) so I've gotta lot of worke to do today. (Laundry, Dishes, mop, clean bathroom, etc etc) Oh the joy!! :0)

Oh yeah, I was up a lb @ wi. I will have to hit it hard this week. I did terrible this week end. Had double cheese burgers twice. Cheederwurst W/ mac n cheese, and mashed potatoes. Brownies (made weigh watchers way, but still) A ton of pop corn, dark chocolat. One morning I ate my weight in cinnamin toast. Ovay, Its even worst then I realized!! Yep, I am definantly gonna thake that wallk

Stevi: Over the weekend, I sketched out a My little pony scene. I am having a blast with it. I am VERY pleased with the sketch!! I just hope I don't screw it up with the paint. It on a white piece of cardboard now, and if it turns out good I'll do another on canvas. I bought me some brushes from hobby lobby. They were $12 for a set of 5 (I think) So I know they aren't top of the line, but I think they are purty nice. BTW what kind of brushes do you use, and what kind of paint. I am a little concerned with being able to reproduce these at such a large scale. (I already told the pastors wife I will do the nursery, and sunday school room when I practice some more) Will it be cheating if I use a projector?

Lauren:  & Lisa. holy and KarenK Did I tell you my moms name is Karen Kay?

FIona: Glad to have you :welcome:

Squishy: Speaking of TMI. My Mother said she heard or read somewhere that you can take fiber once and start to get dependent on it. I totally believe it!! I started taking fiber, and now well, you can figure out the rest. It so not cool, I wonder if I should not take it anymore, or start taking it more often.

Good morning.
Just as soon as I dropped off DS#1 I had to turn around and pick him up. He re-sprained his knee. I asked why did you run on it? He answered " I didn't want to deal with coaches attitude" What the **** is that? He had a DR. note and still gets trated like he's doin' something wrong? Me and ol' Coach boy are gonna have a chat. DH ran out the house last might like his undies where a blaze. Apparently a customer/thief got killed at the riverside store. Yes I said KILLED. The purp ran out of the store with a pressure washer under his arm and was chased (a NO nO) by an associate. Then the guy made it to his car but unfortunately for him the police where there arresting another shop lifter and set out after him, around the back of the store(in his car) the guy pulled a freekin' shotgun and the police shot him dead. DH is the corporation representative for this and had to book it over there to do damage control (mostly legal and media).
Question!!! Anybody else experience excessive hair loss while deiting?? It only happens when I'm no longer ON the diet. Usually weeks after. I'm getting a full brush full after every showner. At this rate I'm gonna be a cue ball in a month.

Christi~ 1st of all, not to make you feel like crap, but if I ate like that I'd weigh 300lbs in no time!! Geez girl! Double cheese burgers! I can't even remeber the last time I had fast food much less a cheese burger....( I know.. don't hate :)) Nearly all professional artist use either a grid (boxes or dots) or a projector. How you think Dora looks so dead on for being so big? Its impossible to get perfect perportion on something so large....unless you are Monet or have 10 foot arms. Of which I am/have neither. Do whatever it takes to make it look awesome.
Squishy~ Yeah...what she said! No more fiber pills for me. I get PLENTY from my food choices. I have a seriously slow bowel (TAlk about TMI) and look for high fiber all the time. I also keeps you fuller longer.
RR~ Cutie Pa Tutie! Isn't that the same guy in the last imagin..whatever movers pics??
Lisa~ Its always nice to see ya. Sorry about your sinuses!

Lisa, I'm dyin' here! I totally feel ya on the sinuses. I would swear I have an infection but when I blow my nose it's clear (don't even get me started on TMI) so no infection. I just feel like poo poo.

RR, your dh is a cutie. K too. lol She's such a sweeite pie.

Wanna, I love the pic of Bethany!! You just can't plan pics like that. I have one like that of the man. I think I shared it here a while back, don't remember if you were here then.

We got the man's 2 yr pics done tonight. I can't believe he's gonna be 2 already. At 2:40 am my little man will officially be 2. UGH! It goes too fast!!! We went to the Picture People. They are new (here anyway) and they are awesome!! If you have one near you I definately recommend them! They are awesome and the prices are really good! Plus we got our pics tonight! No waiting 3 weeks for them or anything! The man was being a poop but we got great pics.

Ok off to bed. Head is throbbing. Hi to everyone else and make it a great night.

OH Michelle!! I forgot to tell you...HAPPY late BIRTHDAY!!!!

Morning ladies!

I see it has been busy here! We had a nice weekend, busy, but nice. Saturday, as you know was our last soccer games and ****Yeah***** Both my boys teams won their games. They were so excited! My little 1st graders won 11-1! The first time they played that team we lost like 6 or 8-1 something like that, so it was really exciting to see just how much my little team had learned.

Sat night was the b-day party/sleepover for kids, so DH and I went out to dinner, socialized a little but were home by 10 for some quality alone time....it was so nice to go out (we rarely do that!) but much nicer to have the time together at home.

Worked on the tree mess in the side yard sunday, it is coming along, but boy it sure is alot like hard work cleaning that mess up. Good exercise though.

Well, I have to run. Our bank has merged with another and now I need to get all of my account numbers changed on the auto payments that I had set up.

Ok, I am pissed! I said I would not weigh myself but every week and guess what? I gained 4 lbs! AAAAAAAAHHHHGGGG! I am so mad. Yes, I left the Beach to some extent. I had house guests, a date, blahblah excuse excuse but 4 lbs! I wonder if it is just the water in the glycogen stores!? I dont know but I am discouraged. I am sick of limiting all the time and wanting to eat so BAD but not. I sometimes just want to say to **** with it all and be fat and happy. crycrycry. Gimme a bag of candy corn! Good thing i live 12 miles from a grocery store right now.

I walked DD to bus stop today and felt my little belly flopping around in my sweats so I know it isnt just water!

#1: STOP THE INSANITY!! stop beating up on yourself :)
#2: Today is a new day, just start over...I know it can be frustrating, believe me I spent a while being 27 lbs away from my goal weight and plateaud. I ate and ate and ate things I wasn't supposed to eat. When I finally decided to get healthy again, I changed my plan, and finally got focused.

I wish i could get it together with my job that way...but unlike my job, I can control what I eat, and if like last night I have a bad day, I just crawl back up on the horse and keep goin..

Squishy ~ You're in good company, girl....I gained two pounds! I've not been able to go to the gym due to a foot injury. YUK! I think some might be from "before TOM bloating", but still! Either way--we'll make it through this together, right?

Nail lady ~ Isn't it interesting that while you LOVE you kids to be active and involved, that you're so relieved when it's over? haha....I definitely feel the same way!

Mamabear ~ Sorry you're feeling so badly. This time of year is the pits when it comes to allergies! I feel ya. Also --- are you going to post the 2 yr pic? I'd LOVE to see it!!

Wannabe ~ I LOVE THE PICTURES! They are priceless! What a cutie! You're very blessed.......... DOUBLE CHEESEBURGERS? Yum...........haven't had one of those in years!

Stevi ~ My goodness! What drama! I hope everything worked out okay for DH....... Sorry DS sprained his knee AGAIN! Ugh....I completely understand, though. He's at such a pivotal age that he doesn't want his coach/buddies to see him as weak (puke!), so he pretends he's okay. Really stupid. I can see my son(s) doing the same thing. Doesn't make sense, does it? By the way, about 6 months or so after I had each of my kids, I started losing hair. It was quite unnerving as I would pull out WADS at a time; however, my doctor assured me it was natural and would stop. If you still feel concerned about it, just call the doc and make sure. ;)

Goddess ~ Hope you had an incredible birthday! Did it hurt?

RR ~Love the pics!!! Your DD is beautiful!

Fiona ~ Welcome!! :welcome2:

Have a great day!!

I'm feeling blue for no reason.. and I am tired. I just to a long undeserved nap. Oh the joys of being a women. I have an ovulation scope. and it tells me that I am ovulating at the moment. I am monitoring, to see how I gain, and what my emotions are in relation to my cycle.

Anyway. Yesterday, I called to cancel my account with People PC. ( have been putting if off for a month now. After being on hold for a while, I got an operator. I told her I want to cancel my account. She said, "oh, I'm sorry to hear that. We want all our customers to be happy. well give you a free month and I'll switch you over to tech support, so they can help you get a faster connection. I told her no thank you. I haven't use them in a month, and am with AOL now. She gave me the whole line again. I told her No please just cancel the account. She gave me the line again, only said 2 months this time. This went on one more time, and I was starting to lose my cool. (I am usually really nice to operators, because I know that they are supposed to try to get customers to stay, but this was ridiculous. I raised my voice. "ma'am, I do not need, nor do I want people pc. All I want, is for you at this very moment to end my account, I don't want or need it anymore. Believe it or not, she went on with the whole babbling sh peel. I cut her off "Ma'am, If you don't cancel my account right now, i am gonna hang up this phone, and call through again to get a different operator. I am on my cell phone, and this is costing me minutes" Would you believe that this dense irritating women went on to offer me an email account that is not Internet connection, just email for $3 a month. I know my face got red I really raised my voice and she finally FINALLY canceled my account. What a box of rocks she was. I almost think that she had a friend listening in to see how long I would stay on or something. Every time she would start with "I'm sorry to hear that..." and her tone never changed. UGHHHH

OK, I'm done now

I made a few mistakes, but you can't tell, unless you put the pictures side by side LOL There was supposed to be another pony under the tree, but I ran out of room, and the two on the left weren't supposed to touch.

Stevi: do you use acrylics?

Morning!

Christie~WOW!! That looks fantastic!!! I have to ask.....have you had time to do anything else??? That looks like such detailed work and must have been time consuming!! Way to go, you are quite the artist! The operator issue: I hear ya, sometimes they can be so thick, but I, like you, try to remember that they are just doing their job. It can be impossible to be patient with them when they just won't let up though.

Michelle~hope things are feeling much better today! I still cannot believe you did it.. ;) ..just the thought of it scares me  !

Jessamy~Good for you getting back up on the horse! You should not be so hard on yourself, of course I say that but then I do the exact same thing~beating myself up for not being better at this whole weight issue. I think that maybe I should meet with a nutritionist or personal trainer to get someone else kicking my butt too!

Ugh, Michelle, it doesn't sound good. :( I try not to fly off the handle about things, but I would probably freak out over that. I mean, if you have nothing to hide, then there's no reason not to let you see what's on there.

Fit, what did you do to your foot? Hope it's better soon and those pounds go away!

Squishy, how are you doing today? Don't fret! Check what you wrote us...house guests, and going off a strict diet...hang in there and get back on track!

Darcy, glad you got some alone time with DH! I realized lately how important that is. We've been soo stressed out about Peter, that we are just like 2 people living under the same roof. We had a date Saturday night as well. Had some good conversation too.

Molly, you're gonna post a couple of those pics, right? ;) We've been to PP, and liked them, they're just a little expensive and we really don't need packages.

Christi, Beautiful pics of your yard and DD!

Stevi, Geez, a lot of action out there! Hope DS is feeling better soon!

RR, Cute pics of K & the IMs. :) We see them more and more on PD.

Lisa, how are you doing?? I barely see you anymore! How's the job going? Do you like it there? Are you going back to school?

Hi all~

Just had a few minutes and wanted to check in.

Lauren~Glad you and DH had some time to reconnect, you are right, it is very important, but so easy to put last when so much else is going on.

Michelle~I do not think that I would feel comfortable with my hubby locking me out of our computer. I hope you can get that resolved quickly.

Well, I changed my avatar to include a family pic. It is from a couple of years back, but DH and I look the same. I am usually the one behind the camera, so it is very hard for me to find pictures of myself. I know that I should be in more of them and I am working on that, I just hate seeing the extra pounds captured!

Just time for a quick post-
I am doing ok- been tracking in FitDay for past 2 days (yest was pretty high cal so I think this will help me) and I have a "buddy" I have an exercise challenge with. I think it is pretty ambitious- she came up with 1 hr/day for 2 weeks. I am better with 30 min but I am including stall mucking, roofing, walking and planned exercise so I may make it.

Darcy- I am a dietitian so I dont think this'll help me lol ROFLMAO but having ANYONE to be accountable to is great! I am glad about my exercise challenger and my own accountability on FitDay. Ya want to make a commitment to us like that? I will help push you along if you'd like.

Christie- Your work is awesome. I worship to the goddesses of art Stevi and Christie!

Goddess- WOW! I cant believe you did it. My DH would love it if I did something wild like that or a tattoo or anything. I am too inhbited and chicken **it...
Comouter thing doesnt sound good. I hate when they turn it around and make it YOUR issue that you are a nut or insanely jealous and irrational. DH does that occasionally and I HATE it. Turn the whole situation around and they'd be 10x worse! UGH! Good luck to ya. I dont know waht to say but you guys have a trust issue whether it is justified or not. THAT is an issue in itself and makes life stressful! Like you dont have enough! If he knows you are not trusting then he could do anything he could to reassure you to build trust rather than undermining it with passwords. Hopefully he could anticipate that this might look wierd to you and NOT do it for that very reason, but men dont think this way I dont think..

Hey ladies, I'm needing a :kickbutt: these days. I told you about my weekend. Well, I can usually go off my diet on the weekends and then get back on fine on mondays. I don't know what is going on with me these days. This morning for BF I had 2 cups of coffee (with sugar) and popcorn, :eating2: yes, popcorn for breakfast. Yesturday for BF I had 2 Kashi cookies, they are very healthy, but are 150 calories a peice. then for lunch, I had a grilled chicken sandwich (not too bad, if I hadn't had a whole order of fries, and a sweet tea. :mcd:) Then I did ok for supper, but then my little girl kept bringing me these candy corn taffy things, I had about 2, and I had 1/2 a reeses pumpkin (realized halfway what I was doing and gave dd the rest. I think it may be the sweet tea. I LOVE the stuff, and when I drink it, I find myself hunting for "something" later. The whole sugar spike, and and then it drops. :sigh: I know this isn't the most intresting post, but by posting all this, It makes me more aware of it. KWIM....

I am gonna try do do some excersize this morning, Maybe that will help me get back on track.

We are going to missouri this weekend. It will be hard to eat healthy on the road. I'll do my best.

Jessamy: Thanks for the complement :))

Where are mel and Stevi????

I miss you guys!!!

Olah..............
I need a :kickbutt: , too, Wannabe! I can't seem to muster up the energy to go for my early workouts! Actually, I think it's a vicious cycle: too tired to exercise and lack of exercise makes me tired! By the way, you're SO talented!!!! What a gift........

Think the foot is feeling a little better, so I'm going to try to workout/play volleyball tonight. We'll see how it goes. :crossed: My eating has been good, I just think that my body is so used to exercise that when I don't it "rebels"!! [LBH - I hurt it playing volleyball...getting old, i guess]

How are you and your piercing, Goddess? ;) I'm a bit on the "wild side" myself. I have several piercings and a couple tattoos. You wouldn't know it by looking at me..........haha They're all pretty well hidden.

You rock, Holy..........at least SOMEBODY is up at 5 exercising!! :)

Nail lady ~ Your pic is so small that I can hardly see you! Can you send it to my personal email?

I'd better get back to work.................... to anyone I missed!

:SIGH:

Ok, Long story short. I got a letter in the mail saying that my bank returned a check for 363.73. UGHHHH That was the check that i wrote to the man who we are buying the house from (We are living here, but the electric is in his name, so I wrote him a check for it)

Well, What happened is I wrote the check to him, and i was planinng to go to the ATM and withdraw the money from my Pay pal account that I had made on some auctions I did. Well, When I went to do this, I found out that my debit card was expired. THe only way to get the money at this point was to have it transferred. well that takes 3-4 days. Needless to say, my check got to my bank before my deposit.

I called the owner, and told him what happened. He didn't even know about it. Does anyone here know what will happen? Will his bank charge him for a returned check? or will the just resubmit the check?

What an ugly situation, and it was soooo embarassing to have to call him. :(

squishy1234
10-12-2006, 05:40 PM
It was REALLY good you called him. He will get it in the mail as returned and will be charged a fee. Just tell him to let you know what the fee is and pay him again in cash or something that he will trust. You'll get a fee too ferom your bank so be prepared for that (usually $20 or so). No biggie. But it was great you called him to fess up and prepare him so he doesnt write checks on it ans bounce some himself.

Good luck and even the best of us mess up!

I just hate this!! I have such a note in my stomach. It will be nice if DH never has to know about this. We were just talking about money... OH well, can't do anything about it now.

If my bank charges me, well, thats just sorry, I wouldn't mind paying a charge if they had covered the check, but they returned it. KWIM.

Wanna, your bank might have sent you that letter after the first submission by his bank, usually they try to submit it twice, then charge the fee. My suggestion is to call your bank to see the status (customer service - usually branches can't tell) also talk with the landlord, he should trust you for being upfront with him - before he even knew about it. Don't worry! Does God not say that he would provide? He knows what happens to every creature, even knows the # of hairs on your head? Don't let this get to you. Use this as a learning experience! Oh great picture by the way!!!

Okay, I am back.

Lauren, no I am not in school, just missed buying school supplies (not the books)! Next fall, though I am thinking. Just have to find the right fit for me. I might just get my masters from the same college I went to for undergrad.

I forget who got their _____ pierced, I only have one thing to say. "Are you nuts?" I mean that very lovingly too. I could not have done that. I don't even have pierced ears.

Mama, how ya liking the weather now? Are your sinuses cleared up? For the rest of ya: The temp today never got out of the 30's with windchill in the 20's. We even had snow!!! Cute pictures, looks like he's going to be a handful when he gets older though, and a heart breaker too. :)

10-12-2006, 11:07 PM
Ahhh yes, the weather in Toledo Ohio. We used to run through there twice a week on our way to Canada. Lots of snow!! It was somewhere in Ohio that i got my second speeding ticket. It was Miami Ohio I think (does that sound right?)

Thanks for the encouragement. I really need it right now. I think it was only the first time that they ran it through. I just wrote the check wednesday of last week, and the letter came in today. The bank lady on the phone said that any time a check is returned its a twenty nine dollar charge. Ouch. My main concern is that the owners of the house aren't affected in a negitive way. The other thing is, should I tell DH. I hate to keep anything from him. I always end up telling him. But this time, I almost feel that It would be worst if I did. I'm not sure, I'll just keep praying about it, and maybe the Lord will make the perfect time to bring it up. Or maybe everything will just smooth out, and I won't have to mention it.

I ate so terribly tonight because of the stress. Plus DH brought me a Krispy Kreme donut. WUWT??? I don't know, and didn't question him, I just downed half of it and gave the rest to DD. I didn't really even eat supper, I just had a carb fest!!

:cb: Happy Friday.............anyone have big plans for the weekend? It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend here (weather wise). It is a little chilly this morning (47) and I'm loving it! Especially considering it was almost 100 degrees a week ago.........ugh.

I was going to get up and go to the gym this morning, but I overslept. I was up really late last night with hubby (hubba hubba ;) ) and then my youngest woke up around 2:30. Oh well--guess I'll have to go tonight or in the morning. I've only gained one pound through my exercise hiatus (2.5 weeks), so I'm somewhat pleased with that.

Wannabe ~ I wouldn't worry too much about the returned check. You did exactly the right thing...call the landlord immediately. I'm sure he greatly appreciated that. Like Lisa said, usually banks run checks through twice, so you might want to check with them before you do anything. My honest opinion is to tell DH. You wouldn't want it to come out later, right? Just tell him. I suspect he will completely understand.

Mamabear ~ PRECIOUS pics! What a cutie!!

Not doing great today. I am concerned that this is not a lifetime thing for me. I am not sure I can commit to thinking about everything I eat and make choices that add up to maintaining a healthy weight. I got so burnt on WW counting points and planning ahead so much when left to my own devices I eat about double what I need. That's why when I was working construction PLUS going to the gym 1-2 hrs a day and when I was breastfeeding were the only times I could maintain! Unless I get another phyical job (and at 36 I dont know if i can take that!) I dont see this happening.

Christie- you and I are in the same boat here. DH comes home with Crispie Cremes for you, my DH wants to have a margarita or 2 with me occasionally. DD wants to go to Ben and Jerry's or bakery once a week and we go. I cannot commit to saying NO more than about 50% of the time!

Sorry to be such a pessimist, I just am seeing things that way today. I dont want to lose 27 more lbs and then get so tired of all this that i climb right back up that ole scale!

Someone tell me its ok and that I can do this lifetime! But I dont think I'll believe you anyway! There must be another way to think about this!

DH senses my sliding. I dont think he notices my wieght going up but I think he just sees my lack of resolve.

Well, sigh, off to clean the house. It is starting to smell so I gotta be thorough!

Christy, BIG :kickbutt: Oh, your bank probably paid the check to the owner, since he didn't know about it, but charged you.

Michelle, A. you're insane, B. put DH in his place

Fit, Just from your pics I cannot imagine you with piercings and tatoos!!

Lisa, Snow?! 20's, 30's?! I am sooo not ready for winter. I walked out the door this AM at about 45 degrees and was like, oh man, it's cold out!!

Molly, The man is getting BIG!! Such a cutie patootie!

10-13-2006, 01:23 PM
Fit: My DD woke up at 2:30 too. ????What's that about. I ended up sleeping in her room so she wouldn't wake DH. The reason I hesitate to tell DH is because he had just questioned me about our checking account/budget, and I chastised him for questioning me. Besides that, he is VERY big about making a good impression on the owners, and will be sooo stressed about it.

We are going to Missouri where my grandparents live, tomorrow, and I just want it to be a smooth trip.

Jessamy: I think you are feeling this way because of SBD. It is so restricting that it causes you to rebel. You just have to keep trying. Even though were up and down in our weight, just imagine what we would do if we gave up completely. we'd all be huge. I have been feeling just like you for 3 years now. Now is the first time that I feel in control. The only diff this time is that I have turned it over to the Lord, w/ prayer. And at the sametime, I am doing my part by knowing when to say when. This is the smallest I have been since DD was born, and it (prayer) is the only thing I have done differently. We have a prayer box at church, you put your "prayer's" inside, and when the members of the church pray, they remember to mention the "prayer box" It works!! This group helps too, but I have been on here since April and only started seriously losing in September. Its a "inside" battle. After all don't we eat for comfort, and self fulfillment. (Like I did last night) Anyway, someone else can probably put it more eloquently. (yeah, I spell checked that he he)

Thanks :p

Here is another thing, Squishy. Have you every thought about having an off day once a week? It works for me. A free day where you can eat what ever you want. I do this instead of counting flex points and activity points, and it seems to be working. I do try to have a little bit of self control on those days though. I eat what I want, but try not to make a pig of myself (LOL sometimes I do sometimes I don't) Now this isn't for everyone. My mom says that once she goes off her diet, its hard to get back on. I on the other hand make sure all junk is out of the house by monday. ;)

squishy1234
10-13-2006, 02:13 PM
 Thanks so much Goddess and Christie. I dont know what I'd do without you all! I like the idea of a "day off". I'd plan my "date" with dd going to bakery etc and the night of drinking with DH for that day. It bothers DD when I abstain during our special time out together too. She wants me to join the fun and pleasure (pus she wants me to stop taking nibbles of her stuff!) I guess since 1 lb is 3500 cals how much damage can I do 1 day in 7!

From SBD I have enjoyed NOT having starch with dinner since that is often a binging moment. Just NOT having bread or pasta with my meal is not a sacrifice for me and helps calorically for sure! But I miss fruit and cereal in the am. Well, i just will keep on keeping on! Back to FitDay.

Another thing that I think is adding to this is $/ job stuff too. I have a "job" but started it not long ago and it is contractual so I never know what kinda $ I will get month to month. DH is getting a little antsy having me not bringing in $ but is unwilling to pitch in with dd much since his arrival time in the evening is so late and or so uncertain. I can not count on him for coming home at a specific time, for sure.
Even this week I had a meeting and had to leave at 7am. I told him a few weeks ago that this ONE DAY I needed him to put her on the bus at 815 and he forgot, overbooked his day PLUS put in a dental visit for a nightguard and pissed and moaned about it when I reminded him! I told him to cut the mixed messages. You want me to work, you have to sacrifice too!

I did just finish a report for work and now am working on scheduling other patients for Oct/ Nov so I feel some progress and satisfaction so I am thinking it will help keep me from undermining my eating more today. Maybe a dip in the hottub will help too. I have to feel good about myself on a reg basis to keep the hands out of the candy corn (by the way, I tossed the rest of the package in handfuls out the car window this morning!:o )

Hi everyone, I'm new here, and several have wrote on my other postings and I Thank you. For those who don't have a clue...My name is Jennifer and I have had weight issues my whole life and recently I have had a complete hysterctomy and now find it almos impossible to even drop a pound, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I work out 3xs a week and drink 80-100oz a water everyday! I have been following the 3hr diet and so far I have noticed not a bit of a drop in weight! I am almost to the point of saying this just isn't worth it anymore. I am 5'7 and weigh 179. I'd like to lose about 40lbs. Does anyone know any reason why I wouldn't be able to achieve this? Does having a hysterectomy keep you from losing weight? I am only 29 and have become very depressed about this. I do not take perscrition hormones I am on bio identical hormones. Any help would be nice! I'm willing to revise a diet plan if need be! I have been on ww before surgery but have not tried it since. I do write down everything I eat and usually have 1200 calories a day. If anyone could give some advice, I'd love to hear your opinion!!! Thank you,Jenny

As you can see from my recent posts I am a dieting nightmare on 2 legs but I'd suggest boosing to 1500 cals for a week and see if that gets your metabolism going. With lots of exercise 1200 is prob too little.

Do ya'll think that maybe this just isn't the right diet for me or maybe I should just give it a while longer?

Jenny if you're doin 3 hr diet i don't think you're eating enough with just 1200 cals a day. you should only be eating.....dang at 5'2 and less than 150 would you be eating less than 1450 a day. Try upping a bit....maybe balancing your snacks? what kind of snacks do you have? I'm doing 3 hr diet myself and i really enjoy it. I started in august (22nd to be exact) and have lost 14 lbs since then. I've been working out about 4-5 days a week, not quite as good on the water as I should be though......what about vitamins? you taking a multi???

Ok there we go, i see your post...my brain's brokey but if I can help in any way lemme know. I got my mom and my friend from home hooked on 3 hr diet. Please stick it out if you can!!! You'll have all the support you need here!

What is the 3day diet??????????

Wannabe:
Jorge Cruise's 3 hr diet.....you eat a balanced meal of 400 cals every 3 hrs starting with breakfast 1 hr after waking, a snack of 100 cals (possibly more depending on your weight) 3 hrs later, balanced lunch (400 cals) 3 hrs later, another 100 cal snack 3 hrs later, dinner (400 cals) 3 hrs later plus a 50 cal treat. Balanced meal: protein size of a deck of cards, fat the size of a lid to a water bottle, carb the size of a rubic's cube, veggies take up half the plate, or the equivalent to 3 stacked dvds :) The only restrictions are portion sizes.

HI~~~~

Well, first of all, thanks for missin' me. It all started @ 5am Monday morning. Lil feller was fussin' so I went to pick him up out of the crib, We lowered it (all the way down) about 3 weeks ago, he was slightly to the right so I bent to pick him up and.....WAMMO!!!My back went out. Not just out but disk #5 was slipped, out. My right leg was 3/4" shorter than the left, out. CRYING LIKE A BABY, out. Nearly threw up and fainted from the pain, out!! I'm at about 60% mobility now. I would have dropped on one knee and proposed to my Chiropractor if I could've. Lots of Ice and vicoden. MIL was over all of Mon and Tue, part of Wed. DH had to take off Thur and Fri. I simply could not move. Lil feler was confused as to why Ma ma wasn't holding him. :( Needless to say my house is a stinkin' mess and I'm b!tchy because of it. I really can't stand total disorder and DH just an't seem to keep up. Its kinda good for him to see what I do all day. MIL has a brand new apprciation for it, she was very sore and tired after 2 days of chasing Lil feller. I'm really lucky to have such a lovely MIL.
Christi~ You have a great talent, don't waste it. I've spent many years doing "other" things rather than honing my God given gifts. All only to waste my time. thanks for missin' me.:)

Oh Stevi- You poor thing! We'd all come take shifts mopping and doin laundry and cooking and chasing lil guy around for ya if we could! Glad you have MIL and that DH is seeing some of your "SAHM" bit and that it isnt all Oprah and bonbons! lol like its ANY of that! PLEASE take it easy and let yer self heal. Dont push it and I know you will!

Jenny- I was just cal counting (kinda) and exercising about 5x per week, then went to South Beach Diet and was fine for 3 weeks then just fell off HARD. I may plan to try it again for 2 more weeks in phase 1 to see if that whole craving thing actually goes away for me. I love sweets A LOT and SBD promises tthis will end but it didnt for me. I will try one more time.

WW didnt work for me. Well, it did and didnt. I lost all my weight (30 lbs) in about 6-7 mos and then I went nuts and ate it all back plus 13 more! I think the constant thinking and planning about food wore me down and I just got fed up with it. Plus I went thru some head-stuff at that point and started drinking more than usual so I gained fast from that too.

I am at a cross road so I will let y'all know what I plan to do, though it may just be a day by day thing. sigh.

We had neighbors over and I shared a bottle of wine with the wife. We had a nice time playing board and card games. Nice folks. They have a 15 yo dd and 7 yo son so we sent dd to their house to be babysat and play with the boy so we actually had grown-up time.

Holy- any word from DH and how's he doing!

Goddess- how's the make-up doing with your DH, is the puter unlocked or smashed on the sidewalk?!

hope y'all doing well!

Holy: Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna start today uping my calories alittle! AS for the snacks I usually eat a piece of fruit, a apple or banana. I do have protein with every meal, I just need to try harder I guess.

Wanna, The diet itself is great, it's my body I'm having a problem with!!!lol
I'm never hungry! I was on the ww a few years ago and just didn't have that great of luck with it and I'm not really sure why! I just thought maybe the reason it was hard for me now was because of the hysterectomy, but I can't find anyone who has had one to tell me if this is normal?! Your doing great on ww though!!!! Good for you! Please share your secrets!!!!!:)

Stevie: I do hope you will be ok, if it's any comfort I will pray for you!!!!!

Squishy: I really don't eat alot of sweets! My family has a long history of diabetes! I have been checked several times and I don't have it. I try to keep everything balanced as well as possible, I'll just eat a bit more and see if I can get a little weighloss going! I do take vitiamins! 16 of them to be exact! I find I feel better to take what I need seperately then just to take one! I'll just try the extra calories this week and see what happens!

I hope you all have a Great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Hi everyone!

Stevi, sorry to hear about the back. I know that hurts. I have sciatica so I have pain almost all the time. Not so much now that I dropped a few lbs but still sometimes.

:welcome2: Jenny! Glad to have you with us.

I am starting over today. I have done really bad the last 2 weeks. 2 weeks ago we had a block party and after it fizzled out a few of us were at one of the neighbors yard drinking and we dragged my dh back outside. He we trying to sleep on the couch. So nwe're sitting there and dh was standing up talking to one of the neighbors and all of a sudden he passed out. We have since had tests and other crap to find out what happened and we got nothing. He wasn't drinking. Our dr thinks he had a vasovago syncopal episode. In english it means he passed out. lol Prolly cause he was super tired, hadn't eaten in several hours and was standing right next to the fire and got too hot. But it sent me into a tailspin and I've been totally off plan since. I am getting back on today. I weighed in at 193 (luckily I only gained back about 5 lbs) and I've been OP all day. Woohoo go me. lol

dang stevi, that sounds bad enough for me to take the vicodin my dentist gave me in april ROFLMAO

i went garage salin today.......did some shopping, went to Home depot for some stuff for hubby (they'll provide wood but no hinges for doors for their
7X7 living quarters) and dangit I thought i was doing good!!! I had a good relaxing day, and low and behold, I ran over a dang screw. brand new one too....must've picked it up at the parking lot. so now i have to get the tire fixed or a new one. that will have to get done ASAP cuz i have no desire to change a flat on the interstate. plus i still need to take hubby's car in to get it all taken care of. i had a subway sammich plus chips for lunch, think i went over on cals by 100 for my meal. dinner will be later...maybe just a salad for a snack.
