Default caffiene

Has anyone ever heard of reaction to caffiene with only a small amount like one tea bag per day? It really seems to affect me.

Some people are very sensitive to caffeine. Tea usually has less caffeine than a cup of coffee and more than a can of cola, but it can also depend on the tea and how long you steep it, and if it has other ingredients you might be sensitive to. Some tea blends and herbal teas include other stimulants besides caffeine.

What is it doing?

I limit it because it's bad for your bones. Sometimes, I can't avoid it. I'm going out to lunch today and will probably have 1 glass of iced tea. I make decaf iced tea at home but you really can't find it unless it is some sort of flavored tea, which I hate. I use decaf bags for hot tea as well. I'll drink regular hot tea in restaurants because I can't stand herbal tea, too.

What have you noticed when you have it? Perhaps you should keep a journal of how much you had, what it was and when. You may find that when it is combined with certain foods, you react.

Have you just started consuming it? If not, then did you change brands? Kaplods is right about asking how long you steep it. I can't steep tea long, I get a headache.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Oh, it can react with certain meds as well.

I have fibromyalgia, and I just cannot have caffeine. I have decaf coffee most days, and occasionally I'll add about 1/4 caffeinated coffee. I am always sorry afterward. I get headaches, and my fibro pain is magnified. So I try to stay away from it completely. Except for chocolate, of course. I could never give that up!
