LA Weight Loss - A sure sign that I'm a control freak

;) Does anyone else get tense when the counselors write all over your food journal? LOL. I freak out! They always comment how neat it is, then I SWEAR that they purposely start circling things and writing stuff in it.

Actually - it just dawned on me... AM I the only one who gets their journal written in?????:dizzy:

No, you're not. I never have (and now I don't bring a journal in)-but I remember someone talking about that awhile back-was it Deets, Andi? I don't remember. That would drive me crazy though.

I am sitting here laughing at my reaction... could they possibly have worse handwriting?!?! I truly felt like saying to her "Don't do that!!!"

I freak too! And I hate it when the counselor looks at my book, says how neat it is, and then starts checking off my boxes in PEN!!! I asked them not to use pen if they are going to write in my journal. I thought I was the only one that did that.

Me too! you are not alone. If my book gets messy I pretend that I've lost it and start a new one.

Okay - you are all cracking me up. I keep my log faithfully, but it's a mess. I wouldn't know if they wrote in it or not. Perhaps I make it sloppy so they won't see my extra starch or missing fruit or whatever. Suffice it to say, they've never said how Neat my book is.

I'm in the control freak camp. I've actually handed the one and only troll that writes in my book a pencil, when she starts in. The first time I did it, she was really shocked, but I laughed and said - see how my circles are all colored in, neatly.... I'm a type A personality, if you have to write in my book, please use the pencil. Now she gets it!

I am not on LAWL, but in my diet/fitness journal I even have to have a "certain" pen that I must use. I have the same kind of pen for my checkbook and checkbook register... (Pilot V5 ultra fine point black ink).

I can't even USE another kind of pen like a standard Bic without feeling like it is a goopy mess. :lol: I am definitely a type A personality as well (diagnosed as OCD in my case, actually...) and that would drive me nuts.

Could you put a little Post It note on your journal that says nicely, "If you make notes in my journal-PLEASE use pencil" and then put a little smiley face next to it, so it looks "friendly" and not crappy?? :lol: Or, you could take a pencil with you, and HAND IT TO THEM with the journal while asking them to please use pencil?

My journal is very "perfect" as well...and it would bug me to no end if someone just wrote all over it...I feel your pain. :p

Oh man... I'm a control freak but not about the journal. I'm a control freak when it comes to what the scale says. I just lose it if I've gained...

Did I mention that I sneak and straighten crooked pictures on the wall in people's homes and restaurants. Crooked pictures drive me INSANE. :lol: So do clothes hangers that don't all have the "hook" part pointed in the same direction.

Aphil - LOL! The clothes hangers thing bother me too! It must kill you to shop at those stores that turn their hangers "inside out" on purpose!

I have to clean my kitchen counters and sink every night before I go to bed. Nothing can ruin a perfectly good day like a sink of dirty dishes! Also, I throw the newspaper in the recycling bin as soon as DH has finished reading it, I don't like to see yesterday's papers lying around. DH used to be kind of sloppy, but now he is just like me. When we go on vacation he knows not to ask me to take a walk on the beach until everyone's bags are completely unpacked! I like to consider myself "tidy".

My COD totally trashes my journal! They write a letter for each of my foods (and there are a lot on red1. Then they cross out each letter as they check it, and THEN they draw a huge line down the whole page AND sign it! ANd then Heaven forbid if I wasn't POP they write dow what I missed or what I had too much of really big and circle it.

LOL It bothers me, but not as bad as some of you girlies... my OCD runs more towards germs and such. Like, after they hand me the journal back I have to wash my hands... heh heh.
