Default Bridemaid Dress time!

Oh boy, so yet another of my good friends is getting married (in 6 months) and I'm already being forced into ordering a bridesmaid dress...Now, the age old question, do I order the size that fits me now, because its safe or do I order one size down as a goal. Now I've been doing really well with my exercise lately but not so great with eating clean..Also, I haven't been this "goal" size since like what 8th grade? But i'm also soooo sick of being the "chubby bridesmaid" seriously, and all of the others are in super shape as far as I know. What whould you gals do? the now size or the goal size?

Get one that fits now then get it taken in.

I ordered my wedding dress the size I was in May. Then I put on 7lbs. It doesn't fit any more and I'm getting married in November

Play it safe - it's not worth the tears.

Keep working out, but go with the one that fits now. You don't want to over stress yourself, and binge eat or something when you haven't lost the weight as fast as you would have liked to.

Order the one that fits now, and when you have to get it altered because it's too small think how great that will feel.

I also vote for ordering the size you are now and getting it altered. Bridal shops where you purchase the dress will have someone onhand for alterations anyway.

I just ordered my wedding dress knowing full well that in the 7 months until the wedding, I'll most likely be 2 or more sizes smaller. They can take it in...its a lot harder to let it out!

I bought my bridesmaid dress so it fit when I bought it, and had it taken in about six inches. I arranged to have it altered the week of the wedding, so it was sure to fit.

Default Vote for getting the one that fits now

I have been in the situation where I ordered a dress that was the right size, maybe only SLIGHTLY smaller for a wedding months in advance. Unfortunately, by the time the wedding rolled around, I was bigger.

It was very embarrassing, and the people were not even very nice about it.

Get the size that fits, because I can only imagine that having a dress that is too big, and will need to be taken in, will feel amazing!

Back in Jan. I ordered a bridesmaid dress to the size that I was then... by the time I got the dress I could step in it without unzipping it. It had to be taken in a lot but it still looked great..... go for the larger one, because it's always a great feeling to try on something you think should fit but is way too big!!

Well, I ordered my wedding dress a size smaller than I was. It was truly a good motivation. It was also a big stress causer, but it fit. So, I guess what I am saying is, I dont' really know, but that's my story
