Support Groups - Being Accountable: Weekly Challenge #8!

09-11-2006, 12:11 PM
Are we ready for this week's challenge? :cheer:

Challenge starts each Monday and ends on Sunday. And ANYONE is welcome to join.

Each week you choose something health-relatedthat you really have a hard time doing, and you do it for the week. Say for instance, you really want to cut down on sugar and you know you can do that for at least a few days a week. You can choose how many days such as 3 or 4, up to all 7 ....(but no less than 3, please) and then commit yourself to it. doesn't have to be all in a row, either! You may decide to not eat sugar for 4 days. So on Monday you have no sugar, but on Tuesday you can have some, on Wednesday none, then Thurdsday...(you get the idea) Just try to complete the amount of days you committed yourself to.

You may choose limiting calories, getting in more exercise, drinking more water, eating less processed foods, taking a vitamin, journaling, counting carbs... whatever your need is - go for it! The choices are limitless!

So what do you think? Think we can commit to doing this? Let's give it a try!

I am going to skip the challenge this week...
Not that I am going to quit being careful about food, but just a busy week.

I'm in for exercise. Four days of intentional exercise. More, if my foot/knee allows. :)

I have workout 0 out of 5 days.

As I have mentioned in ChitChat, I'm somewhat in a moody phase....I need to snap out of it before this week is over!

****give me strength****

I'm going to continue with the drink 80 ounces of water daily this week. I didn't get a handle on the whole week last week until I made this cute little chart and put it on the fridge. I did great! This week I want to see a whole week of stars!

Still zero. I"m thinking I'm skipping this week and will concentrate on next week.

****hanging my head down in shame*****

I got today's exercise in. I did the treadmill while I watched part of the Young and the RestOfUs.

Ok, as this week hasn't been as busy as the last ones, are we all needing a break from a challenge??

If so, let me know and we'll NOT post week 9. We'll take a break and then I'll see how you're all doing the week after that.

If there is anything ELSE you'd like to do, feel free to bring it up and we can try it.

Just want to keep us from getting bored with the same thing over and over again.

Let me know.

I don't know if I'm supposed to post the challenge for myself this week. Do you guys want to do a weight challenge? We've been poo pooing lately with everyone being so busy, maybe we need something to get us back on track. Or how about a challenge to do something extra that you haven't been doing but should or would like to do for at least 4 times next week. You don't even have to say what it is. Each time you do that special something give your self a letter of S T A R. Let's see if we can all be STARSthis week. It can be exercise, journaling, or anything you can help you get back on track. It's just a thought.

I'm in for whatever anyone wants to do next week. I am ready to get working at it again.
Maybe I can get those scales moving. I would like to be a STAR.

I'm ready for next week too. This week I just needed to breath! :dizzy:

Norma, how about I just start the next week going and we can somehow just incorporate the STAR into it? Its a great idea. Striving to be stars. :)

I'll get a new thread going later tonight before I hit the hay!
