Default Kinda Newbie-ish

Ive Kinda popped in and out here, but I'm back on track, I have two weddings coming up in which I am the maid of honer. So I am really going to work hard at losing this weight, I'm off to a good start, keeping my points in check, most of the time I'm under my points, Is that bad? I dont know. I'm not like involved with Weight watchers per say, I cannot afford it. But Yeah So I am looking for a buddy, I had one at one time, but I dont know where she went, so yeah If You'd like to be my weight loss buddy let me know. Any tips or advise is greatly appreciated.

Hi... I can't answer your questions since I'm not "into" WW -- but wanted to just pop in and say welcome back!

Yep Welcome back! there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on these forums, so feel free to ask questions and someoen can probably answer it. I find its nice to make posts on these forums since I dont go to meetings. Its a way to keep my accountable for what I'm doing.

As of today I am 'restarting' WW..at home that is. i ahve gone to meetings before, but frankly I don't like the leader in our area & she does all the local meetings. She is nice enough, but the meetings do nothing for me, KWIM. So now I am doing it on my own...and would love to have some on-line support from others who are doing the same.

Hopefulcry, try not to get too discouraged. Your body does crazy things when you make a change in your diet, but if you stick with it you'll have a really great loss overall. Sometimes you do really well on points and then you gain or you don't lose anything and you want to quit, and sometimes you go WAY over points and your body lets go of 3 pounds! It's more about what you eat MOST of the time, I think, and your body will adjust when it realizes you're not kidding about this! If you've been overeating for years (as I have), your body needs that time to get used to what you're doing, and you'll have all sorts of crazy fluctuations. I just started again in July, and I know I'll hit plateaus and I'll gain when I think I should lose, but I really want to stay on track and get through all that. Posting and reading other people's posts here has kept me on track so far!

Stacy, you should check out the "girls on track" and "weigh in at home" threads in this forum. Those are the two I visit the most, and there's a great group of people keeping each other motivated. We need each other, especially since we don't have the accountability of meetings. Join us!
