I received some salt water taffy from the candy store at Bear Foot Landing in Myrtle Beach, N.C, and would like to know if anyone can help with points on a per candy basis or should I just stay away from them (which is very hard to do as up in Canada the taffy is not the same). Thanks for any help received.

Gremlin, the book I have just lists taffy as 1 pc = 1 pt. Salt water taffy is really yummy tho isn't it? Maybe you can have just a couple pcs at the end of the day for a treat ... can you stop at just a couple? Good luck!

i made taffy with some friends. that was a giant mess, but it was pretty yummy. taffy is basically sugar and corn syrup and some flavoring, so 1pt per piece sounds about right.

Gremlin - I don't have the nutritional information on the taffy from that store, but I do have a box of salt water taffy that I just got at the beach recently. The box I have says 170 calories & 3 fat grams for 8 pieces...which would be 3.65 pts if you do exact points, or 4 points if you round up for 8 pieces. So I would count 1 pt. for 2 pieces. (I've had the salt water taffy from the store yours is from & it's basically the same as the box I have)
