Maybe we can all get inspired by sharing our own personal "Weightloss Taglines" with one another... You know the One thought/phrase that keeps you going forward, the one thing that you know will inspire you...The one thing you keep telling yourself over and over and over again..

I'll start..

Positive thinking=positive results.

Feel like a fraud having the guts to put anything here because I have not had success yet. But keep telling myself it is about baby steps, keep making small changes, baby steps

Luflic! What are you talking about no success yet?? You're here and you lost 9 lbs! That IS SUCCESS.... and the best part? Its only the beginning! Good luck to you!

My tagline is in my signature:

Eat for the body you want, not for the body you have.
Exercise for the body you want, not for the body you have.

Basically, the body I want is someone with a healthy weight and in order to be that person, that person has to eat healthy and exercise often. Therefore I must eat healthy and exercise often in order to actually achieve that body.

This captures with my belief in intuitive and mindful eating and in not being overly restrictive or rigid with food.

I don't have one yet but I think a quote or phrase would be a good idea to post in house so I can see it every morning as I get ready for work. I might be back later with one.

To me, it means perseverance. Thousands of tiny changes that really add up to something significant.

I like "you have to eat to lose"......it sounds kind of counter-productive...but man...it's true. So many times in the past (and even now sometimes)....I get hooked on this notion that you have to basically starve yourself to get thin.....when actually....you need to eat enough to keep your metabolism going...... I think in the past I let my body go into starvation mode and I wondered why I didn't lose weight. I have to use this catch phrase to this day....because some days I feel like I'm overeating....I tend to have better losses when I eat more...(mostly healthy foods of course)....something to think about I guess.

I also like an old quote by Mickey Rooney... "You have to pass failure on your way to success". :)

I needed a good laugh this morning! Hehe... No, I know sometimes I come across harsher than I mean to, but I wouldn't say anything like that here - only in real life, when someone annoys the heck outta me! :devil:
Ya, for me, finally finding something that works and being able to stick with it and WANT to stick with it has been difficult... but certainly when I started Optifast, I HAD to stop whining and just do it; couldn't make any more excuses or have any more pity parties.

God is able. God answers all prayer. I try to pray before each workout, weigh-in, measurement, etc... He helps me through it all.

It really depends on what I'm going through at the moment, but there are a few that I cling to. Most of them I found in one 3fc thread or another.

1. I may not be able to lose 100 pounds but I can lose 10 pounds 10 times.

2. Losing weight is not an all or nothing game. Every bite is another chance to get it right.

3. There a lots of times I don't feel like exercising. I've never regretted going to the gym despite not wanting to. However, I regret NOT going to the gym EVERY SINGLE TIME.

4. Motivation alone is not going to get me to my goal. I accept that sometimes I'll have to make the right choices for no other reason that they are the right choices to make.

5. What I eat, how much I eat, when I eat is MY CHOICE. Nobody can force it upon me. Someone making me happy, sad, or mad does not change that fact.

Mine is something like Lucky's #3 ..When I don't want to exercise I just remind myself that I will regret it tomorrow.

Mine is in my sig, I cant lose 100 pounds but i can lose 10 pounds 10 times. But also, nothing tastes as good as slim feels.

What a great attitude. I need to grab a hold of this and celebrate each and every pound instead of thinking of huge picture. Every pound truly is a victory thanks for pointing that out to me.

While I still like my original tag-line, I just received an email from a friend with one I like even better. She didn't send this in regards to weigh loss, but it fits perfectly:

If it's a good day, enjoy it. If it's a bad day, learn from it.
