I just wanted to share that I finally found a truly tasty substitute for real milk. I have discovered a couple of months ago that I'm lactose intolerant and have been struggling ever since to find a suitable substitute to milk.
I used to drink real milk all the time (8oz per day at least), so it was pretty hard at first. But after much experimenting I've figured out that even the lactose-free and/or lactaid milk bother me still, so off to hunt for a good soy milk I went.
After trying cup after cup of different brands and types (refrigerated vs. non-refrigerated) I finally found it!!!
Organic plain (refrigerated) Silk-brand soy milk is awesome!!! :carrot:
Too bad we don't have a "Dancind milk jug" smiley.;)
So, if anyone is looking at soy-milk, try this one, it's really good.

My kids LOVE that product. They prefer it over milk.

I use silk soy chocolate milk to make vegan chocolate brownies. I don;t like the taste of the milk alone but it goes well in the brownies.

I used that for a while ( I think they also have a new low carb one out now).
These days I am using 8th continent fat free soy milk! Its thinner than low fat but definitely better than fat free milk.
It tastes so good with cereal or oatmeal!!!

We buy that now too, and we found some silk light at one store but we do buy that when we see it. MMM yum.

Try Breeze's Almond Milk, too. I like the Unsweetened Vanilla the most, but the Sweetened is OK. Hehe. I was just posting about this in another thread, I'm not a Breeze spokesperson, I swear. Silk and Better Than Milk(?) were my favorites until I tried Breeze.
