Quick note, cuz I'm tired!! :)
I gained 2.25lbs this week which is OK with me!! #1. I weighed at night instead of the day, #2. I ate like CRAP this weekend and #3. I am due to start TOM tomorrow.....so how can I be mad? I think I did ok.

Tonight this drug rep took us to dinner, I had to go as I'm new and had to mingle w/the girls... :) I ate like crap of course and drank, for the first time in a looooooooong time. I actually called my mom from a bathroom stall, told her to pick up my brothers g/f and come get me, so one person could drive my car home...I felt too tipsy to drive..how pathetic is that!!! But it was fun, and I got to know them better.......so far so good ;)

Good evening everyone,
I had a great activity day. We went to a Inter-tribal Pow-Wow. I love watching the dances, they are so colorful. The little kids are so cute.
We did LOTS of walking... Darn good thing. We ate at a Mexican buffet for lunch. I ended up with 55 pts. I'm -14 for my weekly pts. OMG... I really blew it.
:ink:

Now my hand and feet are really swollen. I'll be pushing water for the next few days. I'll get some lemons, that really helps me.
I hope everyone else did better than me.

Ok, Offiically BACK ON TRACK!
I just cannot seem to get it right lately, which only hurts myself in the long run. If I want to be 180 for Christmas, I must STOP the insane behavior that I've been indulging in, the past few weeks. I'll start the day good, then *bam* something happens and I'm all off track and eating what I know I shouldn't.

D: chicken/homemade LF potato salad/corn 9pts

Crazy day, this job will be the death of me.
Another stressful situation, we have a 5 mo. old beagle we've decided to give to my Aunt & Uncle, as we've realized we're just not meant to have dogs...it's been a rough few months, we're not home enough, etc. So she'll depart on Thurs from our family to theirs, which is very emotional for my 9 yr old son...but he wants a hamster now...haha...so off to smaller endeavors I guess.

Hello everyone. Just thought I'd stop by to say hello. I have not been on program. I show a gain on my scale (finally). Skipped meeting last night due to my budding not being there, me gaining, and a lack of time. Have a friend coming in tomorrow am for a scrap booking weekend. I will for sure not be OP and won't be posting. Hope for things to get back to normal and healthy after she goes home on Monday.

Until then, good luck to you all.

Take care, Amy

Hi Everyone:

Haven't posted all week. I've been pretty busy. Have been exercising this week and last too. I haven't lost anything or gained. Haven't been keeping track of my meals either. But I'm going to get back to program today. It sounds like we all need to refocus on what our priorities are for losing the weight. I know mine were to be down 50-60lbs by next summer and my goal was to be down 10 by now. I'm only down 5lbs. Well, 5lbs is good right? I can visualize a 5lb bag of sugar and feel pretty good that I'm not carrying that anymore.

I found a website where you can order deserts and muffins. It is www.pennyslowfatdeserts.com. The muffins are only 1pt. You can sign up for their newsletter. I got it from the website www.dottiesweightlosszone.com. She has some great information on there for losing weight and very encouraging also. Hope you all have a great tracking day. And TGIF!!

I can't seem to get ahead of the crazyness this week and get back into the habit of posting my points daily. I've not been on the computer when I had my journal handy since Tuesday! I've been good, and not gone over points since then until today, and today was just NUTS! I haven't been to the grocery store in like two weeks, so imagine all the food we have around here to eat! Yep, that's right, it's IMAGINARY! HA! Anyway, long story short, ended up eating purchased food for every meal today. I guess I've learned something along the way about choices and portions, because point-wise at least it's not too bad!

Early (5:30 ish): english muffin w/jelly 3pts
Late Breakfast: McD Egg McMuffin 7pts
Lunch: Subway Club Sandwich 8pts
Late afternoon snack: Special K Bar 2pts
Dinner (finally at about 9:00 p.m.!) DH showed up with pizza...OH NO! Managed to eat 2 small pieces then walk away..10 pts.

So, two points over, and I've only used 2-3 flex points this week. Guess it's not too bad!

On a different note, two small nsv's today. So Happy!! Walked into school and saw a teacher that I haven't seen since May. Her jaw dropped and she asked how much weight I'd lost. Good for me!! Only 18 pounds so far, but it's always nice when someone notices! 2nd nsv happened just an hour ago. Those of you who know me know I walk about 2 miles every night, rain or shine. Well, we got home from DD's soccer game at 10:50 and I was gettig ready to go for my walk when my spidey sense started going off. Can't put my finger on it, but was convinced that I shouldn't go walk. Now this was difficult 'cause I haven't missed since August 8th. Anyway, figured better safe than sorry, so even though I wanted the exercise I was staying home! My thoughts then turned to DH's elliptical machine. Last time I was on it was for 5 minutes in July, and I thought I would DIE! I decided to give it a try and hope for the best. I stayed on 35 minutes, the length of time I usually walk, and probably could've stayed on another 5-6 minutes!!! I was sweaty but not on the verge of death! Yeah Me!! Now there's no telling how horrible my thighs will feel tomorrow mornig, but for tonight...WOO HOO!!!

Congratulations boaters wife!!! Aren't non-scale victories awesome!! Sometimes it's frustrating when the scale isn't moving as fast as we'd like, but then things like that happen and we know we're really doing something great and people ARE noticing! I was coming on here this am to post my 2 nsv too!
Yesterday, I decided to stop at a store for some jeans, figured I owed myself a pair since I gave 90% of my clothing to my future sis-in-law as I "undergrew" them :)
I typically would go into the plus section, I was "so I thought" about an 18. I've come to the realization since then, that I was a definite 20 but wouldn't succomb to that number, therefore wouldn't fit into most pants I'd try on because I wouldn't go higher than an 18. Anyhow....I walked into the regular section, grabbed a cute pair of 16's, an adorable fitted brown cordoroy jacket (very funky) and about 4 other items...walked into the fitting room, expecting the worse...EVERYTHING fit!! I stood there, in the mirror in tears. It is the first time in a long time, I didn't have to try to shove 5lbs of cottage cheese into a 2lb container! I came home, changed into the jeans and cotton top and went to get my son from school....there were some of my friends who are supervisors in the office waiting to go on their shift, they saw me walk in, and when I entered the office they were commenting on my butterfly on the wall of Curves, showing how much I've lost.....they were talking about me!!!! Complimenting ME! I was on cloud 9! I saw my friend later who did WW, she's about 135# now, lost 28lbs total...I stood next to her, and I felt so confident, I felt like she looks!
Hubby went out last night and I drug my kid all around, got myself another pair of jeans, another cute blazer and another top! And some high black boots! I don't want to go crazy w/clothes as I hope to drop another 30 or so....but I feel GREAT!!!

Hey you guys!! It has been about a week and 1/2 since I have been on. I guess you all know what that means! I have been not so good. I have gained 2 1/2 lbs. Yikes!!!! I have been going to Curves for my work out. Sometimes I will even stay an hour to work out. I have a feeling I probably would have done much worse if I didn't work out. I have just been sooooo tired of the same thing over and over again. I will be getting back on track again tomorrow and keeping track of my points and posting. I just refuse to stay with old bad habits. I hope you are all doing ok. Sorry I haven't been around for support. I am back now. Back to reality!!! I honestly don't know what has been wrong with me lately!! Anyone else stuck in a rut lately???? I had been doing so good for over 4 months. The important thing is that I was only off for a week and 1/2!! Not months!! So I am gonna get back and be better than ever!!! I got myself all pumped with this post!!! Talk to you guys later!!! Buh bye

I completely feel your pain pacemom, I've been having a very hard time myself lately...Don't know what it is. I just cannot seem to stick on program 100%. I was down 3lbs last week, but up 2 1/4 the week before...I seem to be having a hard time, and cannot get past this weight. I go up some, down some...I've been w/in the same 5lbs for over 2 months!
Yesterday was good, today is so far....hopefully one day, it'll stick again and I'll be back on track.

AJsMommy, WOW!!! That's awesome! I believe I would've been crying in the dressing room too! I know I pulled out a couple pair of jeans from the closet this week as we had a bit of a cool front, and when I put them on they felt like they were going to fall off. Couple inches to spare all over the place....I didn't go shopping though, I just dug back farther in the closet. Found a pair that were too snug in the spring but are a loose (but not too big) now, and a pair that's snug now, but I couldn't have gotten them over my hips in the spring.....so it is just like shopping! Yeah!

Pacemomof4, keep going! YOU CAN DO IT! My dd's favorite phrase is "you can do it, put your back in to it!!" and I'm sure that you can!

I was just looking at my ww card, where it shows the weight you've lost/gained each week....I was 204 on June 29th, went up alittle to 207 once and then back and forth since, from lowest of 198 to 205. That is THREE months of yo-yo'ing ridiculously! WHY can't I seem to get this show on the road and PUT MY BACK INTO IT!?!?!?! You'd think, all the compliments, the looser fitting clothes, smaller sizes, etc would get me moving faster....WRONG! I just seem to lose sight sometimes of the end result...and eat what I know I shouldn't. Granted, it's not eating like I used to, but it's not eating on program either. I need a swift kick in the a$$ or something. Maybe I should try core? Anyone do core here?? any suggestions???

boaterswife
09-17-2006, 09:21 PM
AJsMommy, are you doing the regular flex plan or the Wendie plan? Maybe switching between the two would help you out and shake things up a bit, while still allowing you to eat the things you want....keep trying, you'll get past the plateau!

AJsMommy
09-17-2006, 09:29 PM
I was doing reg. ww and then tried the wendie plan, I think that's what got me to splurge more, cuz I got used to some higher pt. days and liked them :) I'm so confused at discouraged w/myself....I guess all in all, I'm down 21lbs w/them, and in 6months, that's *doing math in my head* just about 1lb a week...so it's not completely awful. I just know I need to move forward.

AJsMommy I was in the same place for the past month or so. I had lost a total of 26 pounds and I was just maintaining. This past week I switched to Core and lost 6.2 pounds. I love the core plan. I am never hungry and all my cravings have subsided! I highly recommend core to anyone willing to give it a try!

I bought my umpteenth journal to keep track of things. I am going to work out tonight, I promise.

Today: creamer (2), nonfat milk (2)
Lunch; skinny cows (6), sbdb (3)

points so far today (13)

I don't really think I need to switch plans so much as follow one. I do well for like 2-3 days and then throw in the towel for the rest of the week.

Today I had dinner early (tofu with veggies and feta), some crackers and have used up 23/24 points.

Oh, and gained 1.4 again this week. If you want to see an example of NO progress, take a look at my weigh ins for the last 2 months. I am right there with you all.

On the other hand, I don't consider it a platue. A platue is when you are following the program and not losing. I haven't been close to following the program for more than about 2 days at a time.

lentil salad (5), popsicle (1)

5 over my points for the day

Hi guys. I so badly want to post a ton right now. We are all so in the same place. EVERY single one of us from what I can tell. I am still 178, but can not seem to get back in gear. I have to go get ready for a girl scout leader meeting, so I can't post much. So, I will be back tonight or tomorrow. Let's just all keep checking in if nothing else. We all need to get back on track.

Breakfast-plum/all bran breakfast bar=3 pts. lunch-smartone/plum=6 pts. snack-peach 1 pt. dinner-lean cuisine/salad=7 pts. Total for the day so far is 17 pts. I worked out at Curves and rode my exercise bike 10 miles. I will probably have some some canaloupe and a ww icecream for the rest of my points. Thank you guys for your support. You are all great. You are right Amy, it does seem like we are all kind of stuck right now. We can all get past it. It is so hard, especially when the scales are not moving!!! Anyway we will all be fine. I am seriously considering trying core, if even for a week...Just to see. I agree w/you morrigan, I can do good for 2-3 days and then BOOM, I'm off the wagon completely.
Here is my weight from June 29th till now...I'm sure you can see my frustration.
June 28th: 204 1/2
July 3rd: 205 3/4
July 12th: 207
July 19th: 204 1/2
July 26th: 201 1/2
Aug 2nd: 201 1/2
Aug 9th: 200 3/4
Aug 16th: 200
Aug 23rd: 198 1/4
Aug 30th: 200
Sept 6th: 202 1/4
Sept 13th: 199 1/4

Basically for almost 3 months I've been w/in the same 6lbs, up and down up and down. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

To summarize, I think we all just need to be happy with what we've accomplished, not look back at what we should have done, or how we should have done it...We're all definitely lighter than we were when we started, we all know the program, we know it works, we know we need to stick to it 100%. Don't they say, the #1. step is admitting you have a problem...we've done that! We're doing great! My overall thought is, I will cheat forever. I will always have days where I eat what I want, or cannot pass up something offered...it's life. This diet allows those moments...which is why I like it so well. It's a diet you can do forever, and splurge when you want to...as long as it's not a daily thing.

We're amazing women, we'll get where we're going!!!! Keep on truckin'!

Hi Everyone:

We are all in the same boat it seems. But keep on truckin. Today when I was on the treadmill I was moving pretty quickly. Half way through the exercise my body was saying "stop stop you are pushing too hard!" But I thought about what athletes do when it happens to them and I thought I'm going to get my mind in a place to stay focused and ignore those things that sabotage my exercise routine and diet. So today is a new day. I'm going to start detoxing off sugar and eating more healthy foods. (I can already hear my body starting to struggle with that one.) I stray too far when I start with the goodies once in a while. So it will take me a week to detox off the sugar. I have done this before and it does work. For everyone struggling, I know what works for me is having some ready made soups and frozen dinners when I'm in trouble because I didn't plan my meals. It is easy to stay on plan that way. I'm going to save my extra 35 pts for meals eaten out and those I'm going to keep to a minimum. I really want to be 60lbs lighter by next summer and the holidays are coming up. I was doing well at a 1lb a week. I want to stick to that. So lets all jump back on the wagon and get there together!!

B/ 1Egg, 2pt; 1/2 Bagel, 2pt; Lite Butter, 1pt; 1/2C Milk 1pt - 6pts

L/Probably 7pts frozen dinner

Earned 3Exercise pts today - I'll check in later...have a great day!

Hey everyone! 25 points so far today, and will finish off with a glass of milk- YUCK! But it will finish my points and add the much needed dairy. Did the elliptical machine 30 minutes. Walking is starting to creep me out since it's getting dark earlier. Days when I can go early I'll still walk....days when I can't go until 8 or later, I guess I'll be on the elliptical.

Have a good evening!

AJsMommy, sounds like day 1 is going well! At this rate, 3 flex points per day, you'll still only use 21 of them in a week. That gives you 14 points to play with in addition to your exercise points!

Today I went over my target points and used 3 of my flex points as well. I wasn't concerned about it, I mean they do give us the flex points for a reason, but then I realized I'm going to weigh in tomorrow instead of Saturday. This major fun after dinner at my Mom's tonight, who knows no low fat. It was my choice to eat it though, so I guess I'll get what I deserve tomorrow!

Did a 45 minute walk before going to mom's house, and after getting home and the realization that WI is tomorrow, I did 20 minutes on the elliptical to try to help out a bit.

Have a good evening, and hope for the best for tomorrow!

Hello all! Weighed in this A.M. instead of Saturday as there is too much going on for me to make it to the meeting. Down 1.8 pounds. Good loss, but boy I wish I was still having those 3-4 pound weekly losses! LOL!

Today was my first day at 26 points. I gave in to a home made rice crispy treat against my better judgement. Those are probably my biggest weakness, and I made several batches for DD to take to Mizzou this weekend for the big game. I shouldn't have eaten it, but I did calculate all the points and counted them for the day. Guess that's why they call it flex, cause you can eat what you want, even if you shouldn't! Even with the sweet treat I still have 5 points left for the day, so I'm going to finish up with 5 points worth of low fat chocolate milk....I just cannot stomach white milk....ICK!

Also managed to do 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. Would like to do about 40, but my knees are killing me. I'll walk extra tomorrow if the rain stops! If not, I'll just do two sessions on the elliptical instead of one.

Have a good night!

Day 3 on core:
B: ww yogurt (1pt) and a banana
L: Strawberry Banana Swirl Shake
( 1c. skim milk, 1/3 banana, 1/3c. strawberries, 1/3 packet SF FF vanilla pudding powder...blend. Very yummy & free on core)
S: popcorn w/oil
D: core meatloaf, baked potato w/spray butter and a veggie
S: hard boiled egg and 1pt bar (nice combo, huh?)

Hey all!! Kelly M. good for you!!! Down 1.8 lbs!!! I have been doing fair. Not horrible but not too terribly bad. No weight gain, but no loss either. I hope you all have a great weekend. I will probably try to ride my bike a little. I slept late so no Curves today. I did do my 3 days this week. Normally I have been going 5 times a week. Anyway bye you guys. Until tomorrow.

Hi everyone. Congrats on getting back into gear. I am really trying today. I hopped on the scale this am, it shows my lowest weight yet. If I don't blow it today and tomorrow, I should show a loss tomorrow night. We will see. DH is out of town, and I am eating a bit too much ice cream. Emotional eating at its best. Anyhow, I went to the gym this morning. My trainer did not show up. I was out of sessions. Here shows my re-commitment.......I re-signed for three times a week for three months. My work out buddy is only doing once a week. She is not getting any results so she does not want to pay for all of the sessions. So, I really need to get the scale moving so that I don't have to re-up in three months. My plan has always been to keep a personal trainer until I hit goal. Then, I want to keep a trainer just once a week. My check book will really appreciate that. Not to mention, saving the weekly weight watchers fee. I just calculated..........I am spending $83 a week to get healthy. I know it is worth it, but it is time to stop waisting money. I will post all meals and snacks on here regardless of points value. If I eat ice cream, I will post it. If I eat 60 points in one day, I will post it. Ok, enough said. I will check in with everyone tonight.

Breakfast
oatmeal 3pts

snack
non fat no whip mocha 3pts

lunch
salmon 7pts
veggies (oil) 2pts

12/24 so far. I walked 30min and burned 230 calories at the gym.

We can do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

ok, so it is 703pm. Here's how I have ended.

icecream 8pts
rice6pts.

28/24 very unhealthy points. Tomorrow is another day. Hope to stay out of the icecream tonight.

I keep dragging myself to WW meetings, even though I haven't been much for following the plan. This week I actually lost 1 lb despite not exercising, 3 birthday parties, lots of cake, ice cream, wine, second serving of spaghetti multiple nights, and weighing in with heaver clothes during the evening instead of the morning etc.... it must have been a miracle.

I keep starting off the week with the best of intentions and then totally give up counting points when I have used up my entire 35 extra by Wednesday or so. Today is Monday - trying to start right again. I have been super busy. I only work every other day, but I have a 2 and 4 year old, and I am getting my masters degree (7 credits this term), and I have football every friday night. There is hardly time to myself at all, and what has suffered so far is any semblence of attempting to get to the gym. DH and kids are waiting for "mommy to finish typing up her food" so I should hurry here.

27 point day - no exercise, 3 points over target

4 south beach diet bars (10)
1 apple (1)
oat bran with blueberries (3)
latte (2)
skinny cow ice cream (2)
salad with a santa fe rice and beans (6), and santa fe chicken (2) on top

Well, I weighed in on Tuesday morning. OMG!!! I was down 3 POUNDS!!! Maybe an ice cream diet every now and then is good for me. ;) Just kidding! Anyway, I think what may have helped was my consumption of raw spinach the day of the huge recall. I have had stomach problems since about three days after. According to the CDC website, that should be about right. Have not had any issues over the past two days. Hopefully it is over with. Did not go to DR because they can't do anything about it and I knew I was at the "tail" end of it.

Yesterday
1 slice pizza
4 sticks of crazy bread

chicken and potatoes and white rice from Panda express

4 oreos

today
coffee
bites of cereal no milk 3pts???

pb no j sandwich 3pts
chips 4pts

Will check back in later. Enjoy your evening.

Congrats on the 3lb loss buffalosister!!!
Sorry I haven't been posting here the past couple weeks, This new job is very tiring and I just have come home and collapsed!
My first week on core was a success, I lost 1 3/4lbs. I decided to stick with it, WI was Wed but so far I've been off the wagon, imagine that!! just like you said morrigan, 1 day on, 2 off...I think that's my new diet as well...at least this weekend. I WILL jump back on board tomorrow (we're going to a Tiger game tonight, can't exactly order a salad there) and I think I'll move my WI to Sat next week to give me more time.

I have a NSV I want to share.
I went to dinner w/2 friends from High School last night. I haven't seen them since our reunion last year. I was there before them, so already sitting in a booth...but when I left to use the ladies room and returned, they both said "Ok, sit down and tell us how you got skinny!!" I was beaming! It feels so good, esp. for people you haven't seen, to notice. People you see daily, who know you're dieting compliment you, but it's not the same. I was on cloud nine, and I knew I looked good...that helps too, when you know you're dressed to kill, and the confidence is there.

We'll get there, I know we will. It just will take alittle longer, but thats ok!!
Keep rockin' chicks!

You know we all have been slacking when I had to head to page 2 to find a post.

I just can't seem to get it together even though I am still paying to go to meetings. I gained again last week -- completely blew it Monday and not wanting to start out my week with all my extra points gone, am just pretending that today is the first day of the week.

oat bran cereal with berries (3)
latte (2)
creamer (2)
soup (4)
crackers (2)
1/2 of 1/2 a sandwhich (3)
ice cream (2)

This leaves with 6 points to spend on dinner. I probably won't log my dinner tonight, but I am planning on having an 8 point dinner and using 2 of my extra points for the week.

Hi all! I had weigh in tonight. I gained 1. That is just fine with me. I expected more since last weeks three pt loss was cheating (I had been sick from the spinach).

Anyway, I feel a sense of renewal tonight as I type. Don't know why. Well, maybe I do......

1) Have been going to bed at night feeling bad. Over-full, heart burn, just yucky.

2) My mom who is over weight had her back "go out." She can hardly move. Mind you, her lack of health was my initial inspiration to get into better shape.

3) I can't afford to spend the huge amount of money to not lose weight. I am spending over 300 a month between weight watchers, gym, and personal trainer.

4) I only have 22 pound to go!!! What am I waiting for????

I will stop by here and post more often. This I know I did when I was having better success. Hope everyone else will too.

Have a good night!

Hi all......

I had school last night and today, so I didn't get a chance to post.

Yesterday...
Breakfast-coffee-1
breakfast bar-3

Lunch-Roast beef sandwich-8
Total-12/26 (Because of night class I didn't get a chance to eat, and got home around 9:30, so I didn't want to eat and then go to bed)

Today-

Breakfast- Coffee-2
Breakfast bar-3

Lunch-Ham sandwich-3

Dinner-2 3/4 slices pizza (lol...that 3/4 slice was what dd didn't eat)
1 1/2 moz stick

I'm not really sure how many pts the pizza was...it was plain, and I blotted the grease before I ate it. I had 18 left before dinner, so I'm sure I'm probably a little over. I actually don't feel too bad about it because I avoided the several batches of chocolate chip cookies and the pumpkin pies that I made this afternoon for a bake sale. LOL...I actually had the knife in my hand to do "quality assurance" on the pumpkin pie...since it was a recipe I'd never used and all...but I came to my senses and put the knife down. The recipe had over 100 5-star reviews, so I'm sure they can't all be lying, right?!

Anyway...hope everyone has had a good day!

Hi there girls. It has been an odd day. I have had an upset stomach way too much lately. I was not well last night and was scared to eat most of the day. Here is how I ended up......

few bites of son's cereal 2pts
some pretzels 4pts

some tortilla chips 6pts

2oz pork chop
broccoli
baked tater
spray butter
1T lt. sour cream
1T grated cheese so......8pts for the dinner???

two baked pretzel sticks (from mall) ???

So, I THINK I am within my 24 points. But man, they were not healthy.

Paige, I just realized you are the Paige from way back on this thread. Now I really need to get a photo up. I have tried with no success. Will check in tomorrow but then I leave to Wyoming for a week. I won't have access to a computer until I return on the 15th. Good news is, I have travel anxiety and won't eat much. Good for me right?? Wendy, don't fret over your bad days. Just keep trying.

Good night,

breakfast

work out
burned 350 calories

snack
whole grain gold fish crackers??? 3pts
I was starving after my work out. I am not really going to use the 3pts in my total. I know I earned at least that in activity points. Will update later.

Hi all...

I've kind of had a slip up day today. I don't even know how many pts.

So far....coffee, breakfast bar, 2 1/2 slices of pizza, and 2 pieces of apple pie. Dh is making dinner...I told him to surprise me because I'm too tired to think about what I want...so I really actually don't know what he's making. It's one of those days where I care, but I just don't, ya know? I have a really bad sinus infection, and I've been going nonstop this whole week, so I'm just too tired to care.

Hope everyone is having a good day........

Morrigan-I know it is so hard to face the scales when you know you've been "bad" but the longer you avoid it, the harder it will be to get back on track.

I had a better day today. Tomorrow is my wi...I was down 4, but that was early on last week when I had been really busy and hadn't been able to eat. This morning I was down 2, so that's probably where I'm going to end up.

I went anyway - gained 2.2

I feel like I turned a corner - I mean, how worse can it get than last week. I ate too much cheese (it was probably only 3 oz - with crackers), but combo that with whatever else I had and I ended up with the worse gas I have ever had in my life. Now that is punishment. I had nightmares about it all weekend. I actually blamed the smell on the nearby (within a few hundred yards) septic treatment plant when someone near me complained. I figure when you start lying - that is about rock bottom.

DH and I had a little date at Ruby Tuesday's, and I didn't count pts. I'm ok with it.

So far today I've had coffee, a breakfast bar, some leftover baked ziti, some white meat from a rotissere chicken, and some chex mix. I don't think I'm counting pts today either. If I go under pts so much during the week, is it a big deal to not count on the weekend, as long as I'm not gorging myself? Monday I was 4 under, Tuesday 3, Wed 8, and Thurs 5. I know WW says you must hit your number, but I'm not undereating on purpose.

Also, I was down 4lbs when I weighed in (I weigh in at home) on Tuesday.

Ok, think I'm caught up!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Remember me?
I'm back to the flex plan as of Wed. Core did what I needed it to do, get me past my plateau. I found the plan quite easy, except for lunches...Not many ideas I didn't think, esp. when my lunches are away from home and I'm not too fond of tomatos w/cottage cheese. I figured core was a good way to remind me of how I SHOULD be using my pts too, so back on track I am :)

I do have a NSV to post. I bought some jeans about a month ago, size 16...from a REG. store too :) anyhow, they're getting alittle baggy...so my friend who's just lost 58lbs and went from a 20 to an 8, told me she had some 14's if I wanted them...I went over, figured I'd put them aside until I could use them....I tried them on when I got home and they FIT!! They're alittle tighter, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. I'm elated, it's been awhile since I've been in 14. My highest was a 20.

Life is good...and the Tigers are moving on to the world series!!!!!!!!!!!

First time in since August I have lost weight 2 weeks in a row. Not much, but better than another gain.

This week I was pretty much on program M, T, W - not even close the rest of the week.

Today: I had 19 points and no exercise. Tommorrow I am hoping to fit in a trip to the gym for at least an hour.

Hi there! Back from a fun and busy weekend. Went on a train ride to the Grand Canyon. I am an Arizona native and had never been there. Had a great time. Unfortunately, I drank a bit too. Scale shows me up a bit. I will get a confirmation at meeting tonight. Have not been counting points. :( Hope to jump back on tomorrow. Glad you're still checking in Morrigan. Where is everyone else??? I hope this thread continues. It has been a great source of support for me. Have a good one. Will check back tonight or tomorrow. --Amy

Hi there. Looks like my scale does not lie. I did gain one pound. No biggie I guess. I still got my third 10 pound ribbon. I have lost 31 pounds with weight watchers since last week of January. Can you say slow???? Anyway, I am back on again. Have been to the gym twice this week as well. Does not compare to last school year when I went Mon thru Fri. My transcription job has prohibited me from doing so. Even with not going to the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays I still can not get ANY work done around the house. I have piles all over my counter of mail and girl scout stuff. I am staying on top of cooking dinner (crockpot) and getting dishes done. I have enlisted the help of Dh and kids to help with some laundry. They rotate in and out of the washer/dryer and have helped put away two whole loads. Anyway, I guess that's not hear nor there. Here is how I ended up today...

Breakfast
toast w/ spray butter 1

Snack
non fat no whip mocha 3

Lunch
ham on lt bread 3
a few chips 2

dinner
chicken 4
broccoli 0
potatoes 5
wine 2?

That's 20 out of 22 not counting activity points. Wow!!! Not too bad. Have a good night and morning.

buffalosister, I think we all have mastered the word "slow!" LOL! I started WW March 29th and I'm down 25lbs. I almost said "Only 25lbs" but...I'm trying to be positive, right! :)
I'm not upset at it being so slow, it's my own fault...I cheat too much. But like I keep saying, and I'm sure my WW leader hates hearing me say it, I will always cheat. So if the scale moves slower for me, so be it...I know I CAN do this forever. I know I CANNOT eat 100% on plan forever. Let's see, what am I averaging....*getting calculator out* 30 weeks divided by 25= .833 lbs a week...that's almost a whole lb a week!!!!!! Since January 10th, I'm down 30lbs and since June 2005 I'm down 45lbs ....so I am a happy camper :carrot: I w/o at curves, well....I'm a member :) I haven't worked out in awhile as I'm into my gazelle right now, however, I'm down 38 3/4" total! I wondered why my low rise jeans were falling off me somewhat...DUH...I've lost almost 6" in my hips! I went from a 20 to a 14/16.

Think about what you've accomplished. We're all much farther ahead than we give ourselves credit for. Think of where we'd be without any dieting! I know I'd be wishing, once again, that this holiday would be different....well this time, It is! I just got a really cute dress to wear to my dads work party (he owns a company w/some family members so it's not just a work party, alot of our family comes and alot haven't seen me since last year).

You girls are doing great!!!! slow but steady wins the race! :)

1- golden delicious
6-crackers
2-icecream
Subtotal 26:

AJsMommy, thanks so much for the support. Morrigan, you crack me up!! As long as we don't give up. That is what matters at this moment in time. I used to really look at things in 5 pound increments. Lately, all I think about is....just 19 more pounds. I am going to retrain myself back to the smaller chunks. We will see how that does for me. DH has been a gem over the past couple of weeks. Really complimenting me and saying just what I need.

Breakfast
whole wheat eng muffin w/ spray butter 2pts

that's it for now. Will post after I consume more.

These past few weeks is when I've been complimented the most...Cracks me up, Did ppl not see it before?? I mean, I'm pretty much almost the same as I've been for a couple months, Did something shift in my body structure to make it more noticeable?? My own brother looked at me last weekend and said "have you lost alot of weight?" ....what do you say to that? "Yeah, I did...overnight too, can you believe it?"...haha....it's just funny how all of a sudden people pay attention and the compliments roll in, and I am not complaining at all!! Keeps me focused!

I was cracking up at morrigans comment too, that graph is great...I should make one, might make me really see the progress' peaks and vallesy, lol.

I did pretty well today, have a halloween party tomorrow night...will be the first big party night out in quite some time and not too sure how alcohol affects my loss/gain. We'll see I guess~

B: banana 1pt
L: subway tuna sub and baked chips 10pts
S: yogurt 1pt
D: homemade chili w/wheat noodles 8pts
S: I bought some slow churned Edys brownie choc. something ice cream, heard its good and 3pts per 1/2c. Will make a small cone 4pts

Before I forget Jennifer, the alcohol.........oh my!!! I ate really well all last week. I gained a pound. I drank on Saturday and Sunday. Here's a run down.....3 light beers, one rum and diet coke, something with half and half and Kahlua (I think), and two of these drinks called sunsets. THe sunsets had pineapple juice. I think that's a biggie. Anyway, hope you fare better than I did on the "juice."

Did not finish up so well

lunch subway ham no cheese only mustard, 6

small oreo blizzard AHHHHHhh I won't eve look it up.

dinner a VERY thin SMALL pork chop. I would say 1.5 -2 oz. minute rice and fresh green beans. It got ugly when I began to eat the rice from the serving bowl with my fork. I think I ate 1.5 cups. $&(#!!!!! Anyway, Oh and I had a glass of wine again with dinner. Have really needed and enjoyed it over the last two days. Just one glass with dinner.

Have a good one. "See" ya tomorrow.

Hi all...haven't been journaling the last week. PMSing, stressing, burning out, blah blah blah, whine whine whine. Just having an emotional, tough time. Do you other moms find that you wish sometimes that you could just be ALONE?!

I stayed the same this week when I weighed in, but so far I'm down 13. My Christmas goal is to lose another 13, so I need to get my butt back on track and start journaling again.

Hope everyone is doing well!

I swear I need to put an end to this "I'll start tomorrow again" attitude I've been having. My little bit of cheating is turning into full out right bad days. If I want to be 185 by Jan. 1st I'd better jump on that wagon and hold on tight.....

I quit weight watchers yesterday. I am not planning on quitting dieting, just the meetings. I also quit netflix, and called my ISP to cancel as well, but earthlink was really nice, gave me 2 months for free and cut my bill in half. I just need to have a few less bills each month. I am not ready to give up the gym, but am thinking about ditching my cell phone. Although the cell is really nice when I am skiiing because I can call people about where to meet. Most of the rest of the time I just rack up minutes when I don't really need to.

We got our first snow last night. Almost all melted now.

5- Breakfast: oatbran cereal with berries, creamer, 2 crackers, 1 date

L: Slim fast-3pts
S: apple-1pt
D: chicken, potato, corn 6pts
S: ice cream cone-5pts
So far, 19 out of 24pts.
5fruits/veggies, 4 milk, all my water....planning on some popcorn w/oil later so that'll bring me to 22/24 and my oils in too.

I was very busy at work, took the slim fast and apple with me and had left a slim fast and apple from Friday in the fridge. Lunch was catered, as usual and it was grinders (higher fat sub) and salad w/alot of no-no's on it. I opted to drink my shake and have my fruit again. I feel really good about my day. Hope to jump on my gazelle during The Bachelor, we'll see how my back holds out tonight.

Hi Buffalo, Morrigan, AJsmommy and everyone else! I just wanted to check in and let you know that I'm not dead and I haven't jumped of the WW wagon. Life has been really crazy the past few months and i haven't had much time to get on the computer. I'm still maintaining in my Lifetime status, weighing in once a month. I've actually dropped well below my goal weight now so I have a little wiggle room for the holidays. It's a great feeling!

I'm happy to see that you all are still working hard at getting healthy and staying fit. I've missed you ladies!

You and me both Morrigan. What is it? Perhaps the length of time we've been doing this? I just don't know. I am still losing about every other week. I just bought ten more weeks at WW. I have to. I am down to 173 now. Of course I expect to see a loss on Tuesday because son and I have had a tummy bug. I may open up a thread and ask for support from anyone who has had a hard time re-focusing. We'll see.

So great to hear from Snowgal!!!! You are doing great Liz!!!! I bet you feel great too. Keep it up! Or down I guess I should say.

Will drop by again soon *I hope*

Please come back! (If a new thread has been started and I've missed it, I'm sorry!)

I'm restarting too -- Morrigan, we sound like twins, except that you've been much more successful than I and are more than 100 pounds lighter :) But I've been on and off and gaining and losing, and I'm sick of it. Restarting for good.

I find menu threads very helpful -- not only to me, to publicly track, but to get ideas of what others are doing. I hope the regular trackers will be inspired to continue.

Yesterday:

Breakfast -- Stonyfield Yogurt smoothie - 5 points

Lunch - roast beef sandwich on whole wheat bread with butter and lettuce - 8 points; pear, 1 point

Snack - 1.5 cups Kozy Shack rice pudding - 4 points

Dinner - chicken breast, peas with butter - 6 points

Snack - 1 cup red grapes, 1 luna bar, Activia yogurt - 6 points

30 points (1 under). Too many snacks, not enough at meals, but a huge improvement over my regular pattern, which is coke and candy bars or cookies for the snacks.

Hello Xan. I am Amy. I have been posting on here for some time now. I find I do better at posting when I do well at eating right. Thus, the posting has stopped. I would love to start re-tracking here.

Let me introduce myself. I am a SAHM to a 4 and 6 year old. I just started doing transcribing at home in October. I make little money and it takes lots of time but I get to be home for my kids. My heaviest was 233. I am at 175 right now. This is the thinnest I have been since high school. I feel this may be a slight problem for me. I feel comfortable now. I don't feel the fear I did before when I was so unhealthy. I work out with a personal trainer at a gym and go to my weight watchers meetings every Tuesday night. My husband may ask me to give up both if I don't pick back up on the losing. I know I have weighed the same for about the last three months.

Anyway, I will post here and let's see what we can do. Thanks for the post. I have not been on the site for quite some time. I subscribe to this thread and got notice of your email. You may have inspired me. Let's see if we can hear from Morrigan. I hope so.

Thank you!!!

Hello, Amy! I'm glad you heard my call :) And congratulations on the 55 pounds. That's HUGE!! I know once, when I'd lost enough weight to be almost at goal, I lost motivation. It seemed so much work to lose the last 20 pounds, and I looked almost okay and had no health problems.....so I stopped. And that's when the weight started to creep on. I hope you can dig in for the long haul! (Working at home is a mixed blessing. I did that for a few years, as a writer. When I was busy, it was great, because I was too busy to eat, but when I was bored, or procrastinating, it was all too easy to eat. Good luck!)

Today (aiming for 31 points):

Breakfast -- yogurt smoothie (5 points)

Lunch -- tuna sandwich on whole wheat with butter (8 points)

Snacks -- 1.5 cups Kozy Shack pudding (that's gone now, thank goodness!) (4 points); Activia yogurt (2 points); V8 Splash (1 cup; I dilute it with water and drink it through the day; 2 points)

Dinner will be -- a pork tenderloin recipe from the WW "In No Time" cookbook, with peas (6 points)

that leaves 3 points for after dinner! planned: a banana and a pear

Victory of the day -- I did NOT go to the snack machine :)

Hello. I am having an odd day so far today. I have eaten 1/4 of my son's pop tart. I know, he should not even be eating them. Anyway, my dear friend from California is coming over for lunch this afternoon and I think I may suggest that we celebrate old times with some Mexican food from our favorite high school food place. So, I didn't want to eat breakfast. Have had lots of black coffee though. :( I weigh in tonight. I expect to maintain or maybe even a slight gain. We will see. Congrats on not hitting the snack machine! I will check back in this afternoon.

Good day so far here, too, Amy. I took a chance on the cafeteria for lunch, and although they're usually low fat (really!) today the main dish was.....Italian sausage and onions! No sauce, just that. I doubt the sausages were chicken, though. I had a small portion; don't know how to point count it yet.

Breakfast -- yogurt smoothie (5)

Lunch -- sausage (3 oz) and onions; 1/2 cup brown rice

Dinner will be a Lean Cuisine meal. The pork tenderloin I made last night that was supposed to last through the week was TERRIBLE -- very, very dry, so I ditched it.

I'll fill in points later. Anyone else out there in WWland eating today? :)

I tried and my computer connected to this website for the first time in ages. It has been freezing up when I try to go to 3FC lately. (dial up and old computer)

The eating (or should I say eating and drinking) front has been fairly terrible. But on a good note, I skied Fri, Sat, and Sunday. Today I should have gone up but it was really cold (12 degrees) and I broke my binding on my skis, so I have to snowboard until I get it fixed and I am really not a very good snowboarder.

Thursday I am going up regardless, and I am glad you guys are here and I will start logging in again and keeping up. - promise-

Yippee! Welcome back to us Morrigan! And yes, thank you Xan. I finished off the day in a bad way. Couldn't wait until lunch and ate a bunch of low fat graham crackers. Then had that Mexican food I spoke of. Then had frozen taquitos for dinner after coming home from a yucky WW meeting. I gained .6. Not too bad considering pie wine and more pie and wine. Anyhow!! I am creeping back up to the high 170's and REFUSE to start this over again. So tonight I close a chapter. This chapter of eating what ever I feel like with no regard to the mental and physical consequences. I can sure tell the difference when I am at the gym now. :( Tomorrow, I WILL have a 22 point day (as I should) with a 30 minute or 45 minute work out. There! It means more when you get it down on "paper" right? Thanks for being here. I will write more tomorrow. Happy skiing Morrigan!!

Hi girls!!
Thanks for letting me know you're back here buffalosister! :) I've missed posting. I've read other threads throughout the weeks, but haven't posted much. Heck, haven't done much regarding ww at all. I'm up 4lbs, which isn't as bad as it could be, considering how much I've eaten. I've had a rough ROUGH couple weeks emotionally and mentally with my job and was just put on a med yesterday, so hopefully things get better. I've decided to switch jobs knowing the one I'm at now, isn't good for my health. Food has been my comfort, without even knowing I'm a stress eater. I started back on track Sunday and am bound and determined to maintain throughout the holidays. I have a huge fancy party Sat. evening and a cute black dress to wear that MUST fit!
I'll post more later.....Glad you're all back!!!!

Okay, so let's get back on track and plan!

Today's plan -- I'm keeping it simple; the less scope for imagination, the less I stray. I stuck to plan yesterday.

Breakfast -- smoothie (5)

Lunch -- don'tt know; whatever the cafeteria is serving. Will add later.
IT'S LATER: hamburger (no bun) (4), tater tots (3), lemonade (2).
Now, there's a grown up lunch.

Dinner - lean cuisine (8)

Snacks: Activia (2), 3 oatmeal cookies. (5.5), Splash (2).

Today's plan
coffee with creamer (1)
oatbran cereal with blueberries (3)
nonfat cappacino (2)
rice and beans (6)
baked doritos (3)
I guess more of a work in progress than a plan
crackers (6)
Cheese (4)
Grilled chicken (4)
Veggies (0)
Cheese (2)
oil (2)
but at least I didn't have 2 glasses of wine to go with dinner

Hi girls. Well, so far so good. I am back on track for one day. Yippee! Little steps. I went to the gym and had a great work out. I forgot to wear the band for my heart rate monitor so I have no clue about the calories. Have done well with the eating too.

Breakfast
lt. English muffin 1pt
poached egg 2pts

lunch
baked lays 3pts? (need to look up)
6" Subway on wheat with no cheese and only mustard 6pts

dinner
I am making tostadas and a soup that is 2pts per cup. It is cold here. Our high today is only 57. I know that is not cold to others, but it is windy and to us freezing! Soup sounds great!

Will post more later.

dinner
2 tostadas 4pts
1.5 cups soup 3pts

so, breakfast 3
lunch 9
choc. 2
dinner 7

21 out of 22 and I am full!!!! Making another pot of decaf because I have a long tape to transcribe and I think it will help me out. Good night!

Far from perfect. They served a junk food lunch -- I'm going to have to take lunch. Last year, the cafeteria was very good, mostly 800 ways to cook chicken breast. But this year often the food is so dry it's inedible, or it's...hamburgers, hot dogs and tater tots.

I posted my totals above, but came back to add this note, and say congrats to buffalosister. Morrigan, I hope you stuck to your plan. 3 oatmeal cookies were not in my plan. My totals were just a little over, so it could have been worse, but this wasn't a banner day. AJsMommy, ring in!

Ate too much for dinner, am super full and realizing this may not be the best week to try to get back on program. My dad rented hotel rooms in spokane for 2 nights for me, two of my first cousins, all our husbands and kids, and got tickets to Disney on Ice -- I have Friday night hotel room pizza, and 4 restaurant meals to look forward to in the next few days, plus my mom's assortment of wine and cheese in the hotel room. My cousin Chris eats whatever she wants and only got over 100 lbs once in her life, when she was pregnant. She is 4'11" and 95 lbs. Her sister is the same height as me, but always complains of being fat at about 125. No "kindred spirits" there. The are super nice - and I love them, and our kids have a blast together, but they are hard to diet around.

Thinking of going for the one day at a time personal contest. How many good point days can I do in a row. I am in the 24 point per day catagory, so I'll st my limit at 30. Anything over thirty and I start counting again.

Day one:
oat bran cereal with blueberries (3)
coffe with creamer (2)
latte (2)
tofu salad (6)
apple (1)
This will put me at 14 points when I get off the hill today.

Xan
11-30-2006, 01:35 PM
Good plan, Morrigan. I can see your point about not being a good week to restart -- I've certainly been there. And then I realize that NO week is a good week to restart!

Breakfast - yogurt smoothie (5)

Lunch -- chicken in plum sauce -- don't know. They cook low fat, so I'm counting 1 point for the plum sance (it sits in it, you don't ladle it on) and 3 for the chicken; 1/2 cup noodles (2) = 6

Dinner -- stouffer's spaghetti and meatballs (7)

Snacks -- Activia, pbj sandwich, Splash (11)

Ate the pbj within about 2 minutes of getting home. Better than hitting the candy machine!!

Happy happy happy to say.....I am full and have successfully completed another on point day.

Breakfast
malt o meal 3pts

snack
energy bar 3pts

lunch
ham and mustard on lt. bread 2pts
chips 2pts

snack
popcorn 1pt
some of kids' popcorn 2pts

dinner
2 cups of my soup from last night 4pts
15 baked tostitos (these are Divine!!! Great with salsa) 2pts
1 piece of chocolate 1pt

That's 20. I still have two more!!! I thought I would never make it with just 22. Plan plan plan. It just works. I have to have a lunch plan by 10am. I have to have a dinner plan by about 2pm. See you tomorrow. ---Amy

Way to go, Amy! Hope today went as well.

Mine has been awful. I was going to skip posting and slink away, but it's worth posting so I'll have to look at how stupid I've been.

I overslept and ran out the door, forgetting even to grap something for breakfast. When I got to work, I ate a banana and as much plain, fat-free yogurt (from the cafeteria) as I could gag down.

Lunch -- what they served was inedible so I had a few spoonfuls of egg salad (low-fat mayo).

Snack -- three guesses. Two hershey bars with almonds, one coke, and one bag of cheetos.

I will repent at dinner -- the lowest calorie soup I have.

This was so avoidable.
First -- eat breakfast. I knew by the time I hit the elevator that I'd forgotten to pack something. If I'd taken two minutes to go back and grab a yogurt smoothie (5 pts) out of the fridge, I'd have been saved.

Second -- pack a lunch. They've posted the menus for next week, and there's nothing that's safely within plan. I must pack lunch, I must pack lunch.

Third -- stop acting like a child and hitting the snack machine because the day has not gone well. Literally, what happened was I hit the up elevator button to get to my apartment, and the elevator went down, and I took it as a sign :)

At least y'all know I'm an honest woman.

Other Weight Watchers, please join in! I'm worried that no one is eating.....

Sorry I've been away -- I had computer problems and couldn't access the site all week.

I'll post yesterday's menu, but it will be my last for awhile. At my doctor's suggestion, I'm going to try (well, retry) low carb. I've committed to do it for at least 30 days. I lose a couple of pounds, then gain it back, then lose again -- I stay within points, but I eat a lot of cereal and bread on WW, and we think low carb will cure that problem.

I may well be back in 30 days, so I hope there are active trackers! Maybe you could start a new thread at the beginning of the new year?

GOOD LUCK to everyone.

Breakfast: Greek yogurt (strawberry)

Lunch: roast beef sandwich, banana, apple

Dinner: Lean cuisine

Snacks: graham crackers, cereal with skim milk, English muffin with jam

Good Lord, has it been THAT long since I posed here?!?!?!

I'm happy to say I'm not 100lbs over what I was last time I reported, but I am up 4lbs since my last weigh in which was about 8 weeks ago...I haven't been attending meetings regularly, and as much as I could sit and make excuse after excuse, they wouldn't be worth anything. I know I'm worth alot more and should have been OP better and maybe I'd be at goal, heck...I know I'd be at goal had I stayed OP this whole time. I started WW March 29th and to date I'm down what....25lbs? That's not that great, nor is it bad when you consider the alternative....no loss and probably more of a gain? I'm determined to maintain, or at least stay UNDER 200 throughout the holidays and come Jan I'm back at my Wed. am meetings ( I get weds off again when I start my new job :) ) and I want to be in the 180's by Valentines day, whether that means 181-189 I don't care, I just want to be as far from 200 as I can go, in a realistic sense.
I miss posting here and hope to post more regularly, How's everyone doing throughout the holidays??

I started a new thread for the new year here:

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1511851#post1511851

(My low carb sojourn lasted less than a week, through no fault of low carb. I had a variety of medical issues that got in the way, and am back to Weight Watchers, with the goal of keeping carbs down, and NOT letting junk food creep back in.

Please come on over, and happy new year!!
