Welcome one and all to the most happening thread on the forum (at least MY corner of it!!)

We've got a great group of ladies here who, lately, can't seem to get enough excitement!

In the midst of everything, though, we find time to be here for each other--to check in and motivate each other with our weight-loss (and just day-to-day) struggles. If you're interested in a group like ours, then come on in (though I can't promise we'll smash the fist-sized spiders for ya :yikes:)!!

Hello everyone!

Today was my last day of class--yippee!! Three weeks of freedom before heading back to the grindstone! I took my final and turned in my paper this morning. The paper wound up being a little over 10 pages, and took me longer than normal to write. If you'll remember, it was actually due YESTERDAY! I swear it has something to do with the class being so early in the morning! At any rate, it's done now :carrot:

Another one of my Daddy's brothers died (one died in Feb, too) this week. The visitation was last night and the funeral was this morning. I couldn't go to either because of my class. That stressed me out somewhat. I wasn't as close to this uncle as I was the one that passed away in February, and we've had problems in the past, but I loved him nonetheless. And, he was Daddy's brother. It hurts me when my parents hurt.

I took a day off my "diet" yesterday. I **NEEDED** to eat out. I can't explain that need, but if you've been there then you understand. I had pizza for lunch and then ate steak and rice for supper when I got home from the gym (I did exercise, at least :) ). Then, before I sequestered myself in front of the computer to work on my paper, I had 2 chocolate chip Eggos and 2 cups of --whole-- milk. Bad, I know. I don't know why **my body** needed that day so badly, but when I weighed this morning I hadn't gained a single pound. I'm sure it'll catch up before Monday, though :( .

Anyway, just wanted to catch up and start the new thread. I'll try to post more now since school is out. Should be on the exercise thead, no matter.

Love all,
Cheryl

Cheryl, I have that "need" every so often too. It seems like my body is "hungry' for something. Usually after a day like that, my body will want less the following day. I can't explain it either. Thank you for being such a good thread starter. I love your humor! Congrats on finishing up classes! I noticed your tracker, keep on going, girlfriend!

Gayle and Linda--So glad I have friends who understand what I'm going through! I'm determined not to let that one day get me off track, though!! I AM pushing through until I weigh less than 270!! (Beyond that, definately, but that's my 1st mini-goal).

Linda, I'm working on my Master of Arts degree in English. I'm only able to take 1 class/semester, so I'm not sure when I'll graduate. . . Someday. . . I can't decide what I want to do after I graduate, though, so right now I'm not in any hurry.

Thanks for the  -- I needed it.

Cheryl-I love the title of this thread! It is sooo fitting. I think your day sounds divine! Just get right back on track and you may even be down by your next WI. I especially like the idea of the choc chip eggos. I've seen them, but never tasted them. Prayers to your family in the loss of your uncle.

Linda-Go to www.dwlz.com and see if they have Chili's on the restaurant points menu. They probably do.

Gayle-I made Mike help me change the linens on the bed and search behind the curtains, pictures and dresser when he got home today. No spider. He thinks I was dreaming. I hope so!

Cheryl, as a teacher at a local university, I can say non-traditional students are my favorite! I love having them in class. They are there because they want to be, they are serious and a joy to teach! Also as a teacher, I understand your eating the other day, I get like that during finals. Between writing the exam, and correcting them, I am so stressed, I have to eat.

Linda, if you are interested in going back to school, get a copy of the local schools catalog and read the classes offered, that might help you decide, when you are ready, what you want to be when you grow up!

Shelley, if it was me, everyone would have heard my screams! I HATE spiders, they have way to many legs! They really scare me. I am sure you were dreaming!

I have had a crazy week, and I gained two pounds this week. Luckily for me, the last day of summer school was today, so now I can really get back on track. Also we have the air conditioners here and installed. I can cook at home again. We were eating out so much, as we didn't want to heat up the house, and now we have the AC units so we can be in the kitchen and not feel like we are in the oven! So hopefully with that and no more eating out for lunch every day, during summer session, I can get back on track. Also the belly dancing class has to help!

Hello to all my friends,
Things here have not been too good for me.I can't go into it right now but I'll explain everything when I can. To make a long story short, We are moving. Yep...MOVING again!! We have only been here in our new home for 3 months and we are leaving fast! We are moving in with friends until some things can be straighten out. But Wayne & I are ok. Not in trouble with the law! Just some family issues that I can't talk about.

I've been very depressed for 2 months over all this, and today is the first day that Debbie got me to laughing again. All of this has taken me for a loop and it's going to be awhile before I can get back to being myself.

Please say a prayer for me that everything will turn out ok. I really love & miss you all....

My dearest Sherry, I am saying a prayer for you. I hope everything turns out okay. Remember, this too shall pass.

Debi-Good for you that SS is over. Hopefully you can have a chance to breathe before the new year starts.

Our open house is tomorrow and things are really rolling at school. The kids come back Tuesday, the rest of the staff (aides, etc.) come back today for a big luncheon. I'm sure I'll have to help set up as usual. Things are so busy. BTW, I slept with the light on last night, since Mike was in his office. He said if he came in the room, he would turn it off. I was up and down all night waiting for my spider friend. Think I'll name him Harry, if he really exists.

gdeann

You just keep little Mr. Harry down there with you Shelley. LOL!

Sher, I hope things start looking up for you. Family can be horrible to deal with. I have had family problems now for 20 years starting the week my father died. When Steves dad passed, the same thing happened. Hopefully, everything will turn around and you can move back into the house. Tell Wayne hey, and hugs to both of you!

Debi, glad to hear you finally have AC. I can just imagine how it was considering the heat wave that was going on in some areas. I know we broke record heat a few times over the past month. Belly dancing sounds interesting. We have another Floozie who has been MIA for awhile, who loved to belley dance.

Linda, it sounds like you have some dear people surrounding you. I'm glad you had a happy birthday.

Cheryl, so sorry to hear about your uncle. {{prayers}} I had an aunt who passed a few months ago, but we were never close either. I went to the funeral because she was my dads sister and if he was still living he would of wanted me there. Prayers to your dad, sweetie. Losing two brothers in a 6 month period has to be rough.

We went yesterday to see the specialist for Allison. He examined her and did x-rays and photos. He said he can get started into phase 1 which will last about 2 years. Then on to phase 2 and then he said we will need to just sit it out and see how her body developes. Her bottom jaw is not developing as fast as her top so she has an over bite. Plus her teeth in front are not growing out perfecting straight down, they are angeling outward. We will start phase 1 to the fine tune of $5,000.00. Our insurance will cover $2,000.00 of it. Basically we will have a coupon book and send in monthly payments. BTW: we will need to pay $1,000.00 down to get started, then we will start in with the monthly payments. Anyone win the lottery and want to share?? LOL!

Lynneye
08-04-2006, 10:27 AM
Sherry, keeping you in my prayers. Hope all is resolved quickly for you!

Gayle, hope Allison is not in pain during all this work! Sounds painful! Sorry, no lottery winner here!

The AC's here are wonderful. We did have a major storm come through last night and it helped with the humidity. But it was a major storm, flooding, lots of wires and trees down. Rain in sheets, thunder, lightening! But only lasted a half hour.

Good Morning All.

Sherry my prayers are with you. Try to think possitive thoughts, even thought right now it might be hard. Tomorrow is a new day, and just might be better.

Debi - Glad you're cool again. Eating out all the time is so hard I don't know how you did it. I always ask for a box as soon as I get my meal and put 1/2 in it before I start, that way I am not tempted to eat more then I need.

Cheryl - CONGRADULATIOS !!! Remember every class finished is that much closer to your degree. I did that too, many years ago. I was a math teacher and went to grad school at night and in the summers, I remember the pressure to do it all. I think you were right to have a "FAT " day. It is better to do it and eat what you want , now it's out of your system and you will get back on track.

Linda - Go for it !!! My da use to say you are never to late to get an education. After I left teaching to work at GM, and my girls were all older I decided to go back to school too. I had a Master of Math Education, but didn't want to teach so I took classes in Communications. It was so different from math, and my English background was not strong, but I really enjoyed those classes. I had 22 hrs when I moved and never finished, but I will never forget the things I learned. I am thinking of going back to school ,,,,at 60 ..when I move to Arizona. Not sure what I'll take either, but I know I'll love it.

Shelley - Glad that Mr. Harry has not reappeared !!! Good luck with the open house and the coming year.

Going to the lab today to have blood work for TSH levels. I am not sure they are right yet, but they are getting better. My hair is still coming out, skin is still very dry and on a positive note I am not as tired as I was. Will know next week the results.

Take care all, have a GREAT week-end, and think POSSITIVE !!!

Monica

p.s. HD Bob you must be busy with hubby, but I miss you !!!!

Sherry ~ I'm sorry to hear that things are so difficult for you right now and that you're having to move again. I hope everything starts improving for you soon!

Cheryl ~ My sympathies to you on the loss of your uncle. Congratulaions on finishing your paper and completing your class...that has to be a good feeling!

Shelley ~ I'm sure things are really busy for you right now! I can't believe that summer is over and school is starting already!

Debbi ~ I'm sure that once you get back on a more normal schedule that it will be easier to get back OP.

Gayle ~ Sounds like Ali is going to have to go through a lot...poor thing! Poor you too, those are going to be some hefty dental bills!

Monica ~ I'm glad to hear that you're starting to feel better!

I'm cutting grass this afternoon, so getting a good workout here today!

Thanks for the congrats!

I would like to go back to college again. Problem is I don't know what I want to be when I grow up! Oh, sigh, me neither. I may never even use my degree, but I love going to school. It pays to keep the intellectual juices flowing! Plus, you can start out w/just the basics and see what appeals to you. The only problem with that, though, is that so often you don't get the full effect of a subject with just the "intro" course :( Thanks for the cut/paste thing. ;)

The hope is that the doctor can encourage her bottom jaw to grow. As she deveopes and if she continues to have the same problem, they will want to go in and do surgery, breaking her jaw and readjusting it. I'm really praying everything straightens it's self out. Our insurance for this type of problem maxs out at 2000.00, so anything from that point on will be our responcibility.

Cheryl, CONGRATS!! I knew you were an awesome student! Stew must be so proud of you!!

Suzy, did you get a workout mowing today? It was hot & humid here. Hopefully you had a decent day to get it done in.

Debi, glad all was well through the storm. Seems like storms are getting more dangerous over the years. I am scared silly of lightening since Steve was almost hit.

Shelley, I giggled tonight and thought of you! Have you seen the commercial with the car and there is cluster of oil cans "walking' toward the car in the image of an "ugly" The car runs over it and flattens it. From now on when I see that commercial, I will think of our dear little Shelley and her new house guest! LOL!

Good Morning All,

Just a short note today asking for all your prayers for my nephew and his new family. His wife delivered their first baby yesterday afternoon, a boy, he weighted in at ,,,,9 lbs 15 oz. However, he was born with his bladder outside his body and his penis is not closed. They did not see this on the ultra sounds so as you can guess it was a big shock to all. He will be having surgery on Wed that they say will take at least 6 hrs. Please pray little Wyatt has a complete and save surgery. Thanks all. Monica

Great news on both fronts, Monica!! Congrats on the weight loss but espically great news about the family being in Washington where the best dr is.

We had a very busy weekend here. We started destruction on the master bathroom. We have a half bath also, but the master is the only shower/tub! So we have plastic up around the tub so we can still shower while we do some other work in there. Eventually, we will have a jacuzzi tub, new toilet, sink and vanity, new shower head and faucets, everything new. Even new flooring and tile. But will be slow going, so for a few weeks, things are crazy here as usual.
Rob and I were joking, when everything is done, we will be so bored, nothing to do! We will miss Home Depot and Lowe's! They might go out of business with out us there two times a day!

I have to get to work, so hello to everyone else! Have a terrrific week!!

My prayers are added to everyone else's for dear little Wyatt.
One of the girls that I work with had her baby on August 3rd. She had stopped smoking and did everything right. None of the ultrasounds showed (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYCA) (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYCA) anything wrong. She was right on her due date.
Her little girl only lived two minutes after she was born. I wish there was something I could do for Chyvonne and her family but what could possibly help?
So very sad.
CHERYL - Congratulations!!!http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_1_206.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYCA)http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_114.gif

Janice, how very sad. Have you ever heard of a group that makes memory boxes for the parents of baby's either stillborn or pass soon after? You could get a paper mache box, paint the interior then either paint or decoupage the exterior.

Debi, your house sounds like it is going to be gorgeous!

I am going back to counting calories. I like the core plan, but I miss some of the stuff I could have, but need to know how to count points for. I think I will count calories on everything except fruits and veggies. So if I have a nice meal, I will measure out and count calories for the meat, pasta/rice/salad dressings but not count the calories or measure my veggies. Make sense? This way I will be aware of the calories that count but yet not be measuring every little thing.

Good Morning All.

Cheryl - WAY TO GO !!!!

Gayle - How is Alison doing ? Hope everything goes well for her, I will add her to my prayers.

Shelley _ How's school going ? The kids always seem to grow so much in a year. They are usually so excited to see everyone and to start a new grade.

Lynneye - All that work,,, bet the bathroom will be your favoite place, I can see the candles now with you relaxing in that new jacuzzi, which when it's done you will deserve.

Janice - I don't think there is anything harder for a parent to do then to bury a child. I think the best you can do for her is to let her talk about her sweet little girl. I like the idea of a rememberance box. What a neat idea.

Well off to the mall, have to buy my daughter a baby shower gift,,,her 4th baby and first shower. Her youngest is 4 and she got rid of everything last year when they moved ...I told her not to, but she laughed. I remember my mom telling me that old wives tale. Get rid of everything and you will have a new baby in a year. I still have my kids crib,,,think I'm safe now at 60.

Later all !!! Great Tuesday !!!!!

Wow, all the sad baby news! I sure hope Wyatt makes for a happy ending!! (I KNOW he will!!!!)

Gayle, I've been counting calories again this time around. The weight is not coming off as quickly as I'd like, but it is S-L-O-W-L-Y dropping. Can't complain, because I'm getting plenty to eat! I'm trying to stick to 2,000 or less/day. Some days I go over, but I try to make those days few and far between. I'm also trying to go to the gym 5 days/week for 30 minutes, too. I really think that's helping more than anything. :)

Last night we had fried rattlesnake for supper, ssssss. Not sure how many calories to count for that. I just counted white meat. Yummy!

OH MY GOSH! Fried SNAKE Cheryl! Who in the world went snake rope'n??? LOL! Is this something you prepared at home or did you go out and eat it somewhere? They say it has a flavor like chicken...I'm not going to find out though! LOL!

Stewart and I went four-wheeler riding on Sunday afternoon and the snake was stretched full-length across the trail. It was probabley about 4-4 1/2 feet long and about 1.5 inches in diameter. Stewart killed it (with a stick), brought it home, skinned it and let it soak overnight in salted water. Last night he breaded it (flour, salt and a little Tony's) and deep-fried it--just like you would fish (except flour breading instead of cornbread).

It didn't taste at ALL like chicken to me. It was . . . cleaner . . . tasting. The consistancy of the meat was kind of like lobster, you know, chewy. It was really GOOD, though.

Can my man cook, or what :) ?

How are things going on the homefront with Stew if I may ask???

Since Cheryl mentioned rattlesnake, I thought it would be cool if we posted our most adventuresome food we have ever tried. For me it is Mountain Oysters otherwise known as bull testicles. Also fish eggs from catfish caught in the creek/pond. My mom use to batter them and fry them, this was my treat since she was worried about fish bones with me when I was little. I looked forward to it then, but now, I couldn't eat them if I wanted to. GROSS! when you actually think about it!
My most adventurous food now is ordering something different on the McDonald's menu. LOL! LOL!

Hey, Gayle (where is everyone?)

I've also had mountain oysters. Right now I can't think of anything else unusual I've eaten :), although I'm sure there's been something else!

Thanks for the congrats! I worked hard for those pounds!

When I was growing up we had the "two bite rule". We had to give everything two bites, then we could say "yuck" and get a sandwich or whatever. Because of that, I have tried rattlesnake, turtle soup, octapus and many other weird foods.
This rule really backfired on my parents, as my brothers and I decided lobster was our favorite food and we wanted it all the time! That can get expenisve when you have a few kids!

Debi, sounds like you have ventured quite a bit into the unique food category. Funny how something gross to us can be an every day food for some cultures.

Sorry I haven't been around. I am having quite the rough time at school right now. I'm on overload, as always at the first of the year.

Cheryl-Yuck!!! I am grossed out. Maybe I won't eat for the day (yeah, right!!)

Okay my friends. I am going to fess up. I have been binging like crazy. I can't seem to stop. I will eat sensible all day and then at night after Doug is asleep I eat like crazy. Each day I tell myself I will get back on track and then I blow it at night. Anybody else out there have this happen. I was doing so good and now I haven't weighed in the the past two weeks.
How do I get my motivation back and make myself stop!!

Janice, I hear you sister! I can do the same thing...stick to plan all day until the evening hours. Even worse when Steve works evenings and I'm home by myself. I can feel for you, not sure how to help though....sending "back on track" vibes your way! YOU ARE SO CLOSE TO GOAL!

Shelley, so I take it your not having a nice, crunchy, grilled rattlesnake salad for lunch? LOL! Hope things get better at work!

Cheryl, I hope you know we are just teasing you! We love you, even if you do pick strange things to eat. Tell Stew there is a big rattlesnake hunt in Waynoka, OK every year. He could go and stock up your freezer for the winter. Actually, I haven't been to the hunt, but we went one year, it was a blast at the little sierra!

I know EXACTLY how you feel! I've been on this eating out kick every since my birthday dinner. It's been horrible. I don't know how to stop. I do great during the day -- it's the dinner meal that I blow.

I'm suppose to weigh in tonight and am dreading it too! I hope if it's a gain, it's only a small one.

I'm right there with you Janice! I don't know what's wrong with me lately. I was determined to be at goal by my doctor's appointment next Wednesday, but if anything I am going to be up again. Now if I was on the all snake diet like Cheryl I would be skinny as a rail, because there's no way a snake is ever going to touch these lips!

I weighed in tonight and I maintained. Whew! I'm very happy about that. Now I've got to stop playing around and get serious again. I'm going to start walking next week. I finally got a treadmill so I have no excuses now.

I have to agree with Suzy. Not eating any snakes here either! Ugh! :barf:

Linda, LOVE the new pic! Gorgeous! Great job maintaining, considering all that heavy duty birthday celebrating!

Suzy, the doctor will be amazed even if you don't hit goal. YOUR DOING GREAT!

I just ate a package of rolos...chocolate, caramel, heaven.....can you tell I'm PMSing????

Linda-Your picture is gorgeous!

Janice-I've been know to eat all night long, too. I am trying now to just eat apples at night, along with my famous ff/sf fudgsicles.

Gayle-Yum! Rolos! mmmmm.....

Suzy-Don't fret too much about the dr.

Got a question for all you oh great wise ladies! It's kind of a personal question. But here goes....do any of you suffer with constipation since you've been on a diet? I've tried all that I know to try and I still have problems. Even took that Benefiber stuff, eat wheat toast, drink enough water to float The Love Boat. Still, nothing works! Any suggestions?! :?:

Thank you all for the nice words about my picture. Really helps my ego. I was having a good hair day so I knew I'd better take that picture then. I tried to send a before and after picture but they were too big. Have to figure out how to re-size them.

Suzy ~ I'm sure the doctor will be thrilled with the weight you have lost already. I do understand about the wanting to be at goal part. I can't wait until I am there and can go back to my doctor and show him. He didn't think people could loose this kind of weight on Weight Watchers.

OMG, I haven't eaten a Rolos in .... I can't tell you when! I think my taste buds would go into shock and I would get lock jaw! They sound heavenly though! I did take a bite of my daughter's Snickers bar the other day. I chewed really slow and made it last way longer than normal people would! Gotta get my thrills where I can. :dizzy:

Janice, feel the binging thing! I've done badly this whole week--I'm PMSing really bad. Not only am I eating everything in sight, I've blown off the gym two nights! I weighed this morning to see how much damage I've done and it's PRETTY BAD!!! I am definately getting back on track today--NO MORE EATING OUT!

Linda, yup, I've been clogged a couple of times since starting this diet. When I get that way, I eat a whole can of butter beans for supper :) I cook them with lemon pepper and cook all the juice off of 'em and they're pretty good. I also keep a box of raisin bran at work.

Hope it gets better for all of us.

Thanks everyone...I'm not so much upset with my weight as I am with myself for the way I have been eating. I really need to get a grip on things (other than the ice cream scoop)! I'm sure it is stress related, we're having some financial problems and Travis is getting ready to go back to Iraq, so what better way to cope than to eat everything in sight? :(

Suzy ... here's a  for you. I know all about financial things. Ugh. My daughter starting back to school is killing me. Between new clothes/shoes, school supplies and fees, I'm BROKE as broke can be. Really depressing and scary.

Butter beans? I love those! I might have to try them. Tried the bran cereal. Didn't do a thing for me.

I have the same problem, I have been eating cereal with more fiber in it and that helps me. I add lots of blueberries or raspberries to the cereal as some of it tastes rather bland. The berries help.

Things here are hectic, but that is normal around here. Electrician coming today, to do the wiring for the jacuzzi tub. Also going to see if he can fix another problem we have with the electric.

Suzy, you knowyou and Travis are in my prayers. Remember, you can email me, instead of snacking anytime!! Remember the list!!
For those of you who don't know, Suzy and I wrote out lists of things to do, so when we want to snack, we check the list. Somethings are things that get done once and are done, other things are things we do over and over. I have things like clean out junk drawer in kitchen, clean out cabinet in kitchen and then there are things like take garbage out to dumpster, mop kitchen floor. I have things like write a letter to someone on my list. Anything to keep me busy for five to ten minutes, until the craving passes.

Hope everyone else is having a good day!

Hi All.

Well let me start by giving you sme GOOD news. Little (not) Wyatt is finished with the operation. It was longer then thy had thought. The doctor had to break his bone to get the bladder back inside. He was in surgery 7hrs and 26 min. The parents were a wreck !!! They were, however. able to give him a bottle tonight of breast milk but are not allowed to hold him. He is in a cast from his waist to his toes. They thought he would have to be in ICU til next Thursday, but the doctors say if he continues at the rate he is, they might move him to step down Sunday. THANK YOU ALL for your prayers and support.

Went to my daughters baby shower yesterday, did real well with the food, had a small piece of grilled chicken, some fresh fruit, a salad and some green beens. I love cake and yet I only took a small bite from my grandaughters piece. I was so happy I made it.

Now for the bad day!!! I have binged all day. I think I was on pins and needles waiting to hear about Wyatt. The operation didn't get over til mid-night my time so no-one called til 7:30 tonight. Everyone thought someone else had called me. I didn't want to call my sister incase it was bad news. I hate bad news.

i want you to all lmow that 4 yrs ago I reached my goal and went off WW and gained it all back plus 30 lbs. We all need to stay on track....it's so hard the second time.

Thanks again for the prayers,
Monica

Monica-That is wonderful news about Wyatt. I'll keep him in my prayers.

Suzy-I can't imagine how hard it is to see your child go overseas. I am right there with you on the financial problems, though. I live them day in and day out. Yesterday I worked a 12 hr day for the first time. Well, actually 11 hrs, but who's counting? After that, we went to synogogue to celebrate my parent's 65th anniversary. They had a beautiful spread after services. They also celebrated Mike's and my 19th, which is actually today. We've been together 29. Too long with one person, don't you think?

Linda-With my ulcerative colitis, I am never constipated. Just the opposite. Actually, I think right now I am beginning a flareup because things are starting to go straight through me, which is okay because I enjoy the weight loss when it happens.:)

Janice-When I get sick of the ff/sf fudgsicles, I add the sf creamsicles to the mix. They are good once in awhile with fewer calories than the fudge ones. Also, have you tried the Phillyswirl 10 calorie popsicles? I buy a huge box at Sam's. They are very good.

Cheryl-You are doing great on the exercise thread. It will help to counteract the eating, I'm sure.

Everyone have a good day, I'm off for a bike ride.

Happy anniversary Shelley and Mike! I wish you many more happy years together!

Monica ~ I'm so happy to hear that the surgery went well and that Wyatt is now recovering! That's wonderful news!

Debbi ~ I think that is why I'm so upset with myself...I KNOW what I should be doing (the things on my list), but I just haven't been doing it. I know I don't want to go back to where I was a year ago, so why am I letting myself do this?

HAPPY 29th.SHELLEY !!!!!!!!

Linda - What a GREAT picture....you look so happy, and it shows !!!

Janice - Have you tried Pistachio Fluff....it's my salvation. To make use 1 sm sugar free pistachio jello, a can of pineapple (crushed, no sugar added) and a medium container of fat free cool whip. Put all in a large bowl, mix jello and pinapple first, then add cool whip that is semi soft. It's yummy.

Suzy- My prayers to you and Travis. I will pray for his safe return. When we are under stress we all do things that are not are norm. I am a nervous eater so I feel for what you are doing. It will get better soon.

Lynneye - How's the remolding going? I'm waiting to see a new picture of you in that jacuzzi !!!

Have a GREAT DAY ALL ! The heat wave left Michigan, turned off air and have had windows open for 2 days. Think I'll go pull weeds and maybe plant a few mums, but have to cut grass first. Good thing I don't have to work. YEA !!!!!!

Happy 29th Shelley and Mike!

Suzy, wish I had the magic words to say to you to help. I know there are days, I have no trouble eating well and other days, I can't stop eating junk!

Monica, so happy things went well for Wyatt. How soon before he can come home? Also happy the heat wave has left you, it left here too. I actually slept with the windows open and a blanket last night, felt wonderful!

Linda, any dancing this weekend? Love the new pic also!

Janice, I love the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. They are my favorite treat!

Remodeling continues here in the bathroom. We should begin to see some progress this week. We are still tearing out and shopping. I think we finished most of the shopping last night. We only have to get the tile for walls and floor, but we have picked it out. Can't wait to have a nice bathroom and I am dreaming of that first bath in the jacuzzi!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Monica-That pistachio fluff sounds dangerous for me. I would eat the whole container. How much do you allow yourself at a time? I'm not sure whether to try it or not. Is it tempting for you?

Where's dear Dee????? Gayle, do you know?

Hi All,

On my way out so just a short note. Got an e-mail from Wyatt's mom today and they are moving him to step down in the morning. She still cn't hold him, but the doctor says soon. He will be in for awhile yet, and they will stay in Washington for 3-4 weeks.

Shelley - I am on WW and the points work out to be about 1 per cup, so not bad. Cool whip has very little, 2 tbls lite = 0 points, pineapple crushed in own juice 1/2 cup =1 point, and pistachio pudding sugar free is 4 points for the whole package. I try to split into 6 servings so have fun.

Later all going to a party.

Monica

The fluff sounds yummy! I make something similar using chopped apples, crushed pineapple and butterscotch pudding. It has a flavor like caramel apples! YUMMMM-O!! BTW: it is a WW friendly recipe.

Shelley, I don't know were our little princess is??????? Probable on an island somewhere! LOL!

Glad to hear baby Wyatt is recovering well! Prayers do get answered.

Going to take my mom tomorrow back to the heart specialist. This will be her first annual visit! I would of never guessed 1.5 years ago she would still be here with us. She is doing well other then some memory loss here and there and breathing problems every so often. Small, considering how it could of been. For those who weren't here on the board yet, mom had a heart attack, surgery and then collapsed with no blood pressure/pulse. They gave her CPR for over and hour because she kept giving slight indications she was still with them. She ended up having open heart to drain blood out of the bag of her heart and to repair cracks in her heart. She was on life support and not expected to make it. SURPRISE! It will be nice having the reunion with the docs, she is considered their miracle patient. Plus she can show off, she is down 55-60 pounds!

Monica ~ I make a fluff like that too, except I use cool whip, vanilla pudding, crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges. I usually make it at Easter time...it's really good with ham.

I'm glad to hear that Wyatt is doing so much better. Sounds like he will be home before we know it!

Gayle ~ Your mom must come from good stock! Wishing her a good report from the doctor today!

Fall is coming...it's been down in the 40's here in PA the past few nights. I'm sure Dee will be coming in from the pool very soon!

I weighed in and sure enough, I'm up a pound, but I'm not surprised because of the way I have been eating. I'm going to do my best to get back on track today.
