Good morning, I walked two miles in the park this morning. My goal for August will be the same as for July - 60 miles. (Got to redo my ticker still.)

Happy August Everyone!!! I didn't set a July goal since I'd gone on vacation and have been incorporating other exercise like Rollerblading into my program. I still made 75 miles for the month so I was happy.
August goal = 85 miles. Sort of high, but what else do I have to do? so far, I'm 2 miles into the goal since I did the Fat Burner 2 mile walk this morning. I dind't want to do anything but literally forced myself off the chair. So that's a big plus.
Have yourself a great day!

Hi everyone... phew, August already?! Wow! I've upped my goal from 40 in July to 50 this month, looking forward to giving it a go.
Three miles with weights for me this morning... have a great day everyone

Hey ladies I think I would like to join in too if you all don't mind. I have just started watp a couple of weeks ago and I am hooked! I have already gotten to the 3 mile but I don't think it is something that I could do a lot of just yet. But I would like to set my first goal at 50 miles for August. I did manage to do 10 miles last week so we will see what I can do for August! Keep up the good work everyone and God bless!

Thanks, everyone for the birthday wishes! It wasn't much of a day because we're leaving today for Yellowstone. So, no dinner out, no flowers; not even a cake (even though it was the big 4-0).
Hubby and the kids gave me great cards and a necklace and bracelet that match some earrings that hubby gave me for Valentine's Day. They are even reversible! I DID splurge and get a Cyclone (like DQ's Blizzard) with Heath pieces in it last night. It put me over on calories, but sometimes, you just have to treat yourself!
We're leaving later this afternoon, so I'll do my workout this morning so I won't have to worry about it later. I'm packing a few tapes and the stretchie, for sure (haven't decided about the soft weights or the ab belt), so I can get at least a mile or two everyday aside from the hiking I KNOW we'll do once we get there. I have a streak going that I REFUSE to give up! Today is Day 215 of working out at least 10 minutes (I upped it to 15 back in Feb).
Anyway....sorry for the rambling! I'll check back in with today's workout later!
Michele

Michele, enjoy your trip. Yellowstone is incredible. Make sure you go to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. To me, it was more beautiful than the real Grand Canyon. There's a gigantic waterfall and if the light hits it right, there's a rainbow over the canyon. I have an incredible picture of it. Also you can "hike" to the bottom of the falls. There are many stairs. The hike down was a breeze. Going back up just made my asthma mad but it was still worth it.
wenonah, welcome to the board and enjoy the WATP videos. They aren't so strenuous that you quit after a few weeks. I've been going since January pretty much everyday. In March is when I bumped it from 2 miles to 3 miles (and above).
I did my 2 mile walk and the 1 mile jog this morning. DH and going to go hiking and add another couple miles to those three. I just love summer and being outdoors but I can't give up Leslie's workout - so I just do more and sometimes nap in the afternoon.

Welcome wenonah2006, great to have you on board! I'm pretty new to WATP too, been doing it for about 6 weeks now and I just love it- so much fun and doesn't leave me exhausted

Well, I did the Heart Healthy Walk followed by the 2 mile Express with the stretchie.
Now it's shower time and then to finish packing.
Chat with you all when I get the chance! Be back around the 12th for sure!

Didn't get a chance to check in yesterday. Time sure flies! I did a 2 1/2 mile walk & jog yesterday morning and the 1 mile evening plus legs last night. Today I did a 4 mile weight loss walk. First time doing that one, it's pretty good! Hope to get another 1 mile in tonight.
