Default Back from Newfoundland...
Hey, girls! I've missed you all!
We had a wonderful holiday in Newfoundland... it's so beautiful there, and the people are lovely.
We saw a whale (it surfaced about 2 dozen times alongside our boat!) and puffins and ... well, it was just great. I could live there in a minute.
And I am thrilled (and totally flabbergasted) to announce that I didn't gain any weight while away!

I'm just trying to catch up on the news... Sharon got a house! Congratulations, hon! I'm going to see what everyone else is up to...

Harpo, thank you for keeping everyone in line, hon. I know how bad these girls can be. heh heh.

Oh, and btw, one of the other moderators rudely changed my avatar while I was gone... Jim Carey was NOT my personal choice.

Welcome back Ellis, I had heard that Newfoundland was beautiful, our neighbhours went there last year for 3 weeks.
I am ashamed to say as a Canadian I haven't been around the other provinces. BC, AB and of course the NWT. But that is it. IK will one day do a trec across Canada.

Welcome back Ellis,

We went to N.S last year and it was beautiful. We are hoping next time we will explore the the other eastern provinces. I have only been in the western provinces. I would like to live in N.S. during the summer and here in B.C in the winter. I need to win the lottery

Thanks, girls! It's nice to go away, but it's SO nice to be home.

Harpo is going to continue as helper-mod, so please continue to bow down to her.

I'm heading off to see my psychiatrist, and then I'm going to GET BACK ON TRACK with the rest of you!

I'd really like to go to that Viking settlement ... L'anse aux Meadows (sp). Did you go there?

We didn't get a chance to see that (this time), but we did go to the dig at Ferryland in Avalon. http://www.heritage.nf.ca/avalon/
It was really fascinating. Newfoundland has an incredibly interesting history.
