Hmmm....that's all I've got. Jayde 07-28-2006, 02:37 PM What would be some healthy/low calorie options to order when going out to eat for breakfast? Oh ya... let this be the breakfast thread I wanted to post and rant on recently! But first to nicely address your question ;) fresh fruit.. even if it isn't on the menu I ask for it anyway oatmeal.. (Cracker Barrel's oatmeal is really good.. but most places it is just instant and you can tell so ask before you order) yogurt tea A fresh omelet (sp?) with vegetables, mushrooms, herbs and maybe even salsa I’ll save my rant for the moment. Cause I might just go off! nelie 07-28-2006, 02:45 PM Depends where you go, last time I went out for breakfast, the place I went to had the following which I chose: Eggbeaters with bell peppers and onions Turkey Bacon Hash Browns (ate half) Biscuit (ate half) Eggs are good for you so you could choose a simple egg omelet at most places or if they offer egg whites, even better. Cottage cheese may also be an option. WaterRat 07-28-2006, 08:04 PM I vote for the oatmeal and fresh fruit. :) Eggs are good if it's place where they actually crack and egg and cook it, as opposed to just having a pitcher of stuff they pour on the grill - shudder. I love those fancy breakfast buffets where the guy will make the omelet in front of you. Lyria 07-28-2006, 08:26 PM Untoasted muesli with low-fat natural yoghurt. Mmmm.... LLV 07-29-2006, 12:41 PM Some places will fix egg white omelettes loaded with veggies. You could also get poached eggs and dry whole grain toast. willmakeit 08-02-2006, 10:26 PM Egg white omlette, egg white scrambled/poached, wheat toast with lil butter, 1/2 waffle/pancake with sugar free syrup, fresh fruit, yogurt, hot oatmeal(I love hot oatmeal at Denny's), cheerios cereal! Sonny876 08-27-2006, 06:07 PM Well when i go out i realy realy wont pancakes . But no i usialy order eggs and coffie lol works for me tampagirlcmb 08-28-2006, 10:06 PM The veggie omelet idea is a great one= just make sure they dont use a million eggs= IHOP's omelets are big enough for like 3 people. I usually get an egg, dry english muffin and I cant pass up 2 strips of bacon= it's my weakness. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
