South Beach Diet - What salad to take to a friend's house?

I am not a good salad maker! She said we would probably have Italian or grill out. Any ideas for a nice salad to bring???

I like to bring a three or four bean salad.

One of my favorites is fresh (cooked or raw) or frozen veggies (cauliflower, carrot, broccoli) with any or all of the following: some chopped onion, grape tomatoes, bell pepper, artichoke, and banana ring peppers.

Just mix with a bottle of italian or other vinegar based dressing and one package of ranch dressing mix (I always use light, but not fat free dressings).
