Hello and :welcome: to the Jaded Ladies.

Hiya ladies!

I had to go back and see what everyone said since the last time I was here, lol.

Angie - I've got a flare-up of plantar's fasciitis in my right foot. I've been following the doc's orders from last time I had it, and it's better. Thanks for asking. You are so darn creative! Who but you would've thought about painting grout or swirls on Julie's DD's floor??

Sue - glad you're back to walking and that you found a light ice cream you like. Makes dieting a little more bearable, doesn't it?

Kathy - how's Cole's ankle? I want a goat and Neal says no - they're too messy. I told him YOUR husband let YOU have one, and he still says no. Phooey!! When is the kid due? Is it one, or do goats have multiples?

Sassy - hey, do what you have to do to motivate yourself. Looking at my Before picture used to motivate me more that one where I was thinner. I for sure need to bring that back out before I gain even more!

Julie - ah, I also can't seem to make a small pot of soup. That's ok, because they're even better reheated, right?

Marti - ok missy, you've had enough of a rest! We need you here, lol.

Katiecat - hope your pain is lessening, and that you'll be able to post soon. You're missed!

Hello to anyone else reading this.

Katie and I rearranged the living room furniture today. The room is huge, so we pulled the couch away from the wall, and have a more intimate grouping now in front of the fireplace and tv. I really like it! This is the first time I've ever had a couch away from the wall, and it seems weird.

Up until today I've been doing so good with the food. Today I've felt extra hungry, for some reason. Time for me to make a pot of WW soup, I guess, to take care of the munchies.

Have a good one, ladies.

Sassy--I am going to try a pic at my highest weight and leave my skinny picture too.

Jane--Hope your foot feels better soon--I agree with the soup/chili--it's always better reheated--sometimes I take some over to the kids. You LR arrangement sounds nice

Hope everyone has a good evening!!

Hey Ladies.

Well I am disgusted! I am using my husband's computer because he is currently working on my mom's computer, hooked up to my monitor, etc. So to find this forum I had to do a search.

I was disturbed at what I found! There was a forum (won't post it here, but if you really want to see it do a search for 3FC forum on google, it should come up). But anyways. it was a forum where all these creeps (will not call them men) were bashing fat chicks! (not the forum, fat women)

It was disgusting the things they were saying! It is hard enough to live this anti-fat society we live in now, even though we are trying to lose weight, but to see stuff like that just makes me really  !!!!!!!!!!!

I know everybody has a right to have their own opinions and all, but if you are going to talk that way then make it a private forum! Don't make it so it comes up in a google search!!!!! But I guess I have the right NOT to read it either, but I just had too, just to see what they were saying and it was very graphic too. (just to warn you in case you decide to search for it).

Just really disgusted me!!!!! They even mentioned eating disorders in there! I know they are probably pathetic losers who have nothing else to do with their time but degrade women but it is still disgusting!

Anyways...........sorry to have vented!!!!!!! I hpoe it was okay to post this. If not I do understand if it gets edited or deleted but I think I was pretty careful to not mention the name of it or anything like that.

Hello gals!

Sorry....just trying to catch up on all the things that needed done around the house. Sleep being the most important. :D I think I spent most of my day yesterday doing that! (wasted time)

Please accept my apologies for not doing individuals just yet.....too much to try and catch up on right now. But I will chat a bit about my trip. Not too much as I don't want to bore ya.

Actually, I'm going to find pictures then I'll be back.

Until then......

hey all,
Marti no worries Mate,,,understand the need for ZZZzzs join us when you are all caught up.
Shel,,,darn and here I was at Costco but didn't snoop in the book section,,which I normally do. I do love the california tasty. I don't like the soya sauce...never have...hate salt but that green paste,,is an aquired taste.

Jules,,geesh louise...Ive been going through my head of all the things we (notice I say could do to that Wouldn't it be cool if they had a friend that could do graffiti art? Once it was done,,,put a few coats of varnish on it to save it.
There is this house I saw on the internet for sale...Becky (my friend) is house searching and so I got in to looking too. Well found this house in Airdrie which is about 30 min away from here...way too far BUT it was 3000 square feet,,,with 2 huge garages...visions of sugar plums danced in my head...nah just thought of this wicked place to work on my painting...and I always thought if I had an office(workshop) I would graffiti the floors...and paint the walls blue/white clouds. The ceiling would be bright the sun.

Kathy,,,goat would be kinda cool. When is the kid due?

Sue,,,so lucky,,,I can't find ice cream to eat...most have that aspertame in it. not that they have must selection.
Good for you and your walking. Need to do that...Just need a super duper skeeter spray. The stuff we have doesn't do anything..except kill spiders,,,which is good too.

well I should get back to my book...night all

07-11-2006, 12:48 AM
Beautiful day here again. Hope it was the same at your house. I did laundry and picked up around the house AGAIN. Managed to get in a 2 mile walk after doing a 1 mile WATP and strength training. Now I just need to get my eating act together. I was so bummed out when I weighed this morning. I was UP past what I was when I first came to 3FC's. Grrrr. I have lost that same 5 pounds so many times over the past few years.

Marti- I will go read your trip news. Glad you managed to get rested.

Sassy- I am not even going to look at that site...not give them the satisfaction of a "hit." Sounds like a bunch of creeps!

Jane- Your room sounds great. Hope your foot continues to get better.

Jules- Chili...yum. I usually have soup in the winter, but I have been enjoying it more lately. I need to make some veggie soup that I can eat for lunches. I always get stumped at lunch, then eat too much junk!

Angie- You have such good ideas...want to come decorate my house? I am DONE with the ice cream....well, maybe just a tad now and then. :)

Not alot going on here right now. My computer is still not right and it is so aggravating. Shuts down at the drop of a hat. (I know, so don't drop the hat...) DH said if it keeps up I need to get a new one. But heck, this was a fairly expensive machine in '03. Out of warranty of course!

They are priming the walls at the house, so should be painted this week and the floors started. Brick is ongoing too.

See you tomorrow....

Just checking in to say hi, and since I'm going to be busy tomorrow and may not be able to check in, wanted to say Have a good Tuesday. :)

07-11-2006, 08:59 AM
Angelia--My DS was going to stick with white for the living room and his bedroom with black floors. The white paint he got cheap--the painters at his job site gave him leftovers, but after seeing the 2nd bedroom done in the maroon he is having second thoughts--he always wanted a "stormy" scene with all shades of grey, black and swirls of white on his bedroom wall at home. I told the girls about the swirls on the floors.
DD's friend is an art major and her other friend also paints so they are going to refinish the wood floors and leave them be-they had talked about painting a "rug" on one of the floors but changed their minds, they are going to paint vines, butterflies, fairies and flowers and such around the moulding on windows and doorways on different spots--some at the top and some at the bottoms. The college boys before drew a coat of arms on the door to the roomate bedroom which will not come off--she is going to paint her whole door in a mural and she is handpainting the border in her room. I can't wait until it is finished!!

Sassy--it's sad they we can't live in a more accepting world--there's always someone that has to cut down others to make themselves feel better.

Sue--alot of times my lunch here at work is a WW or Lean Cuisine meal. I love soup though!!

Marti--glad you are back safely.

Jane--thanks for stopping in!!

I have to go myself--another busy day! Hi to everyone else!!

Hi All!

I have missed so much in over a week that when I get a chance, I will try to do individuals later - I am sorry I am not typing them at the moment. I am in a bit of a foul mood actually. Ok vacation was GREAT does that sum it up? LOL I slipped off the diet & I am hoping my home scale is lying - I mean is it possible to gain like 8 pounds in a week when you don't cheat (with sweets and no overeating anyhow) BUT I did totally slack on the exercise and had some beers and a little bowl of sherbet - what the heck??? I am freaking out to go get weighed in today so I think I am going to put it off until tomorrow. I am just freaking and cannot believe that those few little slips would set me so far back so fast, I am just disgusted with myself at the moment. :?:  :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :censored: :rollpin: :rollpin: :yikes:

Hey Sue,,,would love to come and decorate your house! So you Robin and myself have all fallen back,,,Ive been working on getting all the weight I gained in the past 6 months off...and its coming off slowly...ssslloooooowly. And yet it goes on so fast.
Robin,,,Missing a few workouts probably shocked your body. Plus with working out you burned more calories. You will get back into your workout and be back to where you were in no time.

Jules...what a great idea! Take pics k? Another idea is to paint checkers,,,being black and white,,,he could have white checkers on the floor since its black,,,but not the whole floor,,,just lets say a third...and then black checks going up the white wall. Would be really cool if it was in three D style...
You once said hes always wanted a dark room, black, like Brandon wanted. I wish you lived nearby,,,I still have almost full can of dark grey...oooh make dark grey stormy clouds...and a streak of lightening across! ok enough,,,I could spend alot of time thinking of decorating

Hey Jane,,,have a fantastic Tuesday!

Shel,,,like Sue,,,Im not even going to check that place out, like you I find that just disgusting how they talk...

well off to work I go...

Hi ladies,

Mary and I were going to have lunch today in a local tea room and do some shopping without the kids, but her allergies are acting up big time, so we're going Friday instead. That really works out better for me, anyway, since I need to get some things done around the house.

Neal and I moved all the living room furniture back the way it was. I just didn't like it as much as I thought I would.

Add me to the list of those who aren't doing so well. I'm not doing too bad with the food, but since my foot hurts, I'm getting no exercise for my lower body.

Don't know why, but I feel so sad today. :( That's really unlike me.

07-11-2006, 07:38 PM
Hi ladies,

Well, I'm feeling cheerier. :)

Julie - the vines and butterflies, etc. for your DDs house sound so cute. I admire people who are creative like that, since I'm not at all. How're things going at work?

Robin - welcome back!! I doubt very much that you actually gained 8 pounds while you were gone, so please don't be disgusted with yourself. Have you been getting enough water? Anyway, I'm glad your vacation was great. Any photos to share?

Angelia - how many more days at this job? Bet you can't wait to start the new one.

Hello to anyone reading this. It's been raining here most of the day, and so I've made the most of it curled up with a paperback. Not very productive, but who cares, lol.

Have a good one.

07-11-2006, 10:15 PM
Evening Ladies.

I'm on an early shift at work this week. 8:30-5:00. I'm training so they needed me in early this week. I have to say....those feel too early for me!

Jane--Glad that you're feeling more cheery. Rainy days always gives me the blues. Especially if I'm home alone. If have someone home, it's not so bad. How is your foot doing?

Jules--You have got to get some photos of that room when they are finished! Sounds great! And it sounds like it would be a lot of fun painting too!

Sassy--It's amazing at all the sites they have on the internet, whether it be about weight or something else that's disturbing. Now, were you the one talking about sushi? James makes sushi quite a bit. One of my favorite things. He'll make it w/tuna, but since I'm not a raw tuna lover, he'll make some for me w/imitation crab or just veggies.

Angie--Are you getting excited about the job change? When does that happen? Your idea for painting a room are wild! I love them. Have you done any of that type of painting in your home? I would love to see something you've done if you have! share w/us Angie!

Sue--I need to get my WATP dvd's out and do them. Actually, one is still in my DVD player!! I've done it a couple times and since the heat started to rise, just haven't gotten around to doing them again. You're doing a great job on your walking.

Robin--Here is my thinking when it comes to weight gain on vacation. I know I must have gained during our trip to San Fran, but the memories are all so worth it. We got to eat at places that I don't get to go to everyday, I got to try things I haven't tried before and I had fun trying them. Now it's time to get back in control and get the weight back off so I can enjoy my time the next time I go on vacation. Don't worry too much....I'm sure a lot of it is water weight. If you were were probably drinking lots. I know I was!

hello to everyone else out there!

Well I need to get serious on my body. I have seen double chins in some of our photos....that is the LAST thing I want to see. We did so much walking, that it got me wanting to walk more again. The weather has cooled a bit so I may start again before work. But not this week. I need to be out of the house by 7:45 and I like to walk for an hour or so.....and then clean up before work.....I don't want to get up that early. (see all the excuses I come up with?!)

Ok...I need to get some dinner.

I will chat w/you all later!

07-11-2006, 11:36 PM
Got in another 2 mile walk tonight, but no WATP today. Did the grocery, Lowe's routine this morning in the pouring rain. Put me in a foul mood for the rest of the day. Gal pal did want to walk tonight, which usually cheers me up..... wish we could have walked longer. I was just worn out.

Okay ladies..what can we do to get out of our ruts and back on track? Sounds like most of us are in the same place right now. Is it just a summer funk? For me, I am going to NOT buy more ice cream, low fat or not.

Glad to see you all here, but I am going to skip individuals tonight as I am STILL trying to download/repair this computer.

07-12-2006, 02:11 AM
Hey all,

Sorry this is going to be a "Quickie" lol.

We went car shopping today and I am beat. We did find 3 cars though that hub can fit into comfortably. Dodge Caliber, Nissan Altima, and the Honda Accord.

Yes I know I have tried to put that site out of my mind. There are some very disturbing people out there, that is for sure.

My back has been really hurting me............I am so afraid it is going to go out on me again. I hope not because when it does I am out of commission for at least a week or so...............

Well take care!

07-12-2006, 10:17 AM
Robin--Welcome back--how bad was your heap of work on your desk when you went back in??

For everyone who asked--when the girls are completely done I promise to take pictures. They are both working full time and OT if they can during the summer before school starts and they have to cut back. They both want a cushion in case something extra comes up--it helps that DH will work on their cars if something happens but they still have to buy the parts. DH is going to work on DS's gf's car's AC this weekend. It's not covered by her warranty.

It's still busy at work--can't wait until my friend/coworker is back--the skin graft for the toes that were removed due to the diabetes she didn't know she had is taking well and she has an appt to get something fitted for her shoe or maybe it is a whole shoe??? Once she gets that and does a little pt she will be able to come back part time at first--there may even be some things she can do at home. That will help me SOOOO much....

I will hopefully be back tonight!! for more individuals!!

OK back from the WI. I did gain! 4 lbs! UGH crud

Marti... I hope it comes off fast, and that it is more water retain (ok doesn't help it is my week either but come on. How is the training going? Do you like it so far?

Angie... Thanks for the confidence :) I gotta lose it cause I go back in 12 days LOL, I will have to pay attention better this time. Those are great ideas! I am soooooooo not creative -- that is my DH department.

Jane... Are you better today? I think this is just an "off" week for lots of us and we all just need a good do-over!

Jule... Oh yes, photos, can't wait to see it. oh LOL no lie, my boss caught me pulling in the lot on Monday morning to tell me everything that had gone wrong and how drastic the problems were - so much for still being relaxed! I am still trying to get caught up. Little do they know I am going to put in for a month off (wishful thinking here) next year as this 1 week here & 1 week there is not cutting it at all.
---how is your friend?

Sassy... How is your back today?

Sue... LOL I love it! SUMMER FUNK! ;) that about fits right now too.

ok time to go eat my salad :)

my photos are too big to put on --- have to find a different way.... :(

07-12-2006, 04:11 PM
Hiya ladies,

Marti - is this training for your current duties at work, or for a different department? I'm really proud of you for how well you've done with your career, Marti. You've come a long way in a short time. Yep, I need to get serious too, especially with exercise.

Sue - maybe Summer Funk is what we all have, lol. I love to poke around at Lowe's! It's bad for the wallet, though, lol.

Sassy - well, at least you have the car choices narrowed down to 3, lol. What colors are they? Yowza, I hope your back doesn't go out! I've had that before, and it hurts like ^%$#. Once, I was home by myself, and I got stuck 1/2 on the bed and 1/2 off, and it felt like someone had a knife in my back. I started crying, and my dog Molly got very upset. She jumped on the bed and licked the tears off my face.

Robin - hey, have you tried Yahoo photo? It's free, and you can download lots and lots of photos there. Or Photobucket. I've got a paid account there, but they have free ones, too. Yay for gaining only 1/2 as much as you thought you would. :cp: Yes, I'm feeling much better today. Thank you for asking.

Today is my day with Madison. She and I went shopping - my Walmart bill is always much higher when I take a DGD with me, lol - and had lunch. Now she's napping, and if it stops raining, we're going to pick blackberries when she wakes up.

Neal asked me if it would bother me if we had some iced raisin bread in the house. I said no and bought some .... eep! It's calling to me.... HELP!!

TTY later,

07-12-2006, 04:23 PM
Break time and I am here and I am choosing to come to this site...imagine that...

Jane-Have fun with Madison and tell that raisin bread to leave you alone!!

Sassy--hope your back doesn't go out!! Let us know what car you pick.

Robin--DH and I are taking another week in September when the weather isn't so humid. Next year we want to take two weeks off in a row.....They would murder us if we did a month at once even though we both get four weeks a year...

Marti & Sue--I have to get back serious on the WL thing again too!! Between the anxiety and helping the kids I have got off course. I need to get paddling my canoe!!

Angelia--if we lived closer, we would have a ball at the girls house!! Both kids are really lucky to have such good landlords!!

Gotta get back-hi to everyone else!!

Jane... LOL isn't it funny how when you take anyone else shopping with you the bill doubles? Now I hate grocery shopping but it is even worse when DH wants to go - ugh that bill! :)

Glad you are feeling better! why would they murder you? or do you mean your boss? Last year we did 30 days & went out West for the whole trip. I am spoiled though with my years in I get 5 weeks of vacation and in 4 more years, I will earn 6 weeks. I rented a spot for a whole month so even if I can't I will be there as much a possible that is for sure!

Thanks for the photobucket tip! Here are a couple photos...

07-12-2006, 06:36 PM
Hey Chicies. ;)

Well my back is okay as long as I don't over do it. I need to clean but its not worth having my back go out on me. So I'm just doing laundry and that is it.

Hub is going to vacuum. He always does because it really hurts my back to do it. Yesterday on our way home we had a tornado warning!!!!!!!! They spotted one not too far from where we were! But nothing ever came of it. (thankfully) I think it blew down a few trees and that was it.

Well I guess that is it for me. Sorry so boring, but nothing is going on here. OHHHH hub's little stray kitty had her kittens! She came up to the deck this morning and no big tummy! We don't know where she had them. But she was about starving! I gave her a can of food (mil gave me some cans) and she wolfed it down! So we're going to buy her some Kitten Chow too, mil said it would be a good idea.

We fear that once the babies (if they survived) can walk and follow mama then she will most likely bring them up here....... If so we'll have to find them homes, we can't have all these cats outside. lol. But lots of people at work so maybe a few of them will take some if need be.......

Well have a great evening!

07-12-2006, 08:21 PM
Robin--I was talking about the boss and my staff murdering me if I left for a month---or maybe I would do it to myself when I got back to find my whole work space buried and covered with sticky notes with questions.....

Sassy--we have a whole woods full of cats that come and go....none that I can actually pet except the one on my lap right now and her brother--getting them both FIXED!!!

May be back later!!

07-12-2006, 08:57 PM
There are strays all over our apt. complex. We feed the ones who come up to our deck, so far its just the Mama Cat. We think she buried one of her kittens. :( We don't know this may be her first litter as well, she doesn't look that old. If so, a lot of the times 1st litters do not survive. So we'll just have to wait and see. ;)

Shel, I know that first time mommies don't know that they are to lick that icky stuff from the baby's face. And they end up sufficating.
Im glad your back didn't go on you,,,one of my friends has a problem with her back going out on her alot. Feel bad for her.

Jules..where I worked years ago I couldn't take more then a week off,,,the paper work would take up way too much room on my desk in just one week don't know what it would look like for 2. When I left there it took 3 people to do my job. And they wondered why I was always
Ya living closer would be fun...
Figuring that you are the motercycle Momma of this group the one day I thought for sure it was the dad from OCC,,,this guy was a spitting image. I called Monte and told him. WELL this morning I saw him again,,,and still think its him but it can't be. Why would he be up here? Just gets the blood pumping thinking hes right

Jane,,,I know shopping with Monte is the worst thing,,,the guy loves to shop. Costco seriously costs 400 each time...we do pick up alot of gifts and such but still...its a hard amount to gulp.

Sue,,,I keep reading your post...I need to get out there and walk...Im just soooo lazy. Im in the Summer Funk...arghh

Robin great pics...this place you rented for a month,,,is it near by?

well I am doing my last day of work tomorrow. I bought them a funny card...and then that is it.
I am nervous about Friday,,,strange day to start i know but its so my boss can introduce me to everyone before she starts her holidays. I got my hair cut today,,,nice and lighter now.
well Im off to bed...night all

Morning All -- it's Thursday, 1 more day till Friday :)

Ok I have to laugh, my dh is loosing weight (granted yes you can smack him as he isn't even trying!) and he was skinny to begin with. Anyhow... 2 months ago for fun, I tried on his jeans and no go, no farther than the hips. Well I tried them on again last night & not only do they fit, they are a little baggy in the hips! HOO HA~! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: he thought that was funny but hey if they fall off your butt, I just stole them LOL

Sassy... I hope you find the kittens! Poor mama probably took a walk & then here they came.

Jules.. LOL yea I don't want to see my desk either when I come back but for 30 days I can bet I won't think about it :)

Angie... Good Luck on your last day! Great Luck on your first day tomorrow! --- We have a spot in Ludington right off the strip which is about 1 mile drive to Lake Michigan. It is about 2.5-3 hour drive depending on traffic & construction. I know I wouldn't want to be there this weekend! Gus Macker Tourney is on this weekend, a madhouse is an understatment.

Hi to everyone I missed - have a great day!

07-13-2006, 10:15 AM

Well I'm not in bed like I should be...........but can't help it, don't feel too well........:p I really don't wanna go into work tonight either, but........I want to save my personal time too.........So guess I will have to go.........hopefully I can get some sleep before I got in.

Hope you all are having a great day!

Good Morning Ladies!

My apologies for not poppin in yesterday. These morning hours are killing me! I love being home at an earlier hour, but I just can't keep myself from feeling tired ALL day! And then when I go to sleep....I don't sleep well. Not sure if it's the hours or what.

I don't have much time for individuals this morning as I need to get ready and go...but I will try and get in after work sometime to catch up.

Hugs to you all!

Hi ladies,

Julie - glad you come here during your break. Well, I won the battle with the raisin bread, but did something much naughtier. I had a threesome with 2 men - Ben and Jerry, that is. I indulged in the Peanut Butter Cup ice cream. And the thing is, the guilt made it not even taste all that good!

Robin - love the photos! Is that you playing the video game? How do you get your hair so shiny?? It's gorgeous! Also, you look so slim! The poochie is adorable. Is that a border collie? YAY for getting into DHs pants...... well, you know what I mean! :o

Sassy - it kills my back to vacuum more than one room so I often get one of my DDs to do it. YAY for your sweetie, take on that chore. Scouring the tub is just as bad. Aww, kittens are so sweet. Hope they make it. Also hope you got some sleep today.

Angie - meeting the new gang tomorrow will take some of the pressure off on Monday, since you will have already met them. Starting a new job is scary enough. Good luck - but I just know they'll like you right off. Neal's idea of shopping is to go directly to what you need, pay for it and leave. No looking around or anything - get in, get out. No fun at all! Glad you like the new haircut.

Marti - I bet you'll be so glad to get back to your regular shift. Just one more day....

Wel, once again, the body/mind/soul meeting was so good today. We talked about feelings and stress. Which of course can lead to binges. They reviewed the 3FCs book, and those who've read it gave it 2 thumbs up.

Gotta surf a little and then get the towels folded. I need a housekeeper. And a cook. And a pool boy... wait... I don't have a pool.....

See ya on the flip side.

Hey all,
Shel, Monte does all the vaccumming around here which I am grateful for. It all started years ago when I was pregnant with Tanner...and 14 years later he is still doing it.

Jane,,3some? you wicked

Today was a good day,,,no tears from me. One of my favorites,,,shes young and I mother her. She was emotional and wanting to go where ever Im going,,,and she was serious. The bought me the funkiest aqua colored cowboy hate. A bouquet of flowes (Lilies, very fragrant) cake, which I shared with as many people...and a disposible camera for taking pics. Its a custom we took on last year. We take pics then bring some in later to share. We plan to go out next Thursday,,,since I work tomorrow and being my first day they were considerate enough to know I have alot of stress.
Monte, Tanner and I went out for dinner,,,I went for a sandwich,,,and got sick after eating it. It was lathered in butter,,,which Im not used to and now I have a big ball laying in my does Monte.

well I should get going...I rented one of my favorite old movies,,,Practical Magic...

Hello ladies...Still having computer problems and think I will have to break down and pay for a "geek." Can't afford a new computer right now. ugh!

Cleaned and cleaned today. Had a showing tonight, have another tomorrow and one Sat. morning. If it doesn't sell it is not from lack of "lookie loos."

The new house is becoming soooo exciting! Walls are being painted and the brick is almost finished.

Jane- I had a week of eating ice, not constantly, but enough. I have sworn off however. (Is there a 12 step program for ice cream addiction?) Today though my only snack was 2 fig bars. Tomorrow I will TRY to watch the food better. Gotta get something going here.
Marti- Hope you get used to the new hours. Nothing worse than messing with your sleep habits!
Angie- Good luck on your new job. New beginnings are exciting (though scary)
Sassy- Hope the kitties are okay..and also hope your back is better.
Robin- Must go look at your photos. Thanks for sharing! Don't you love how men lose weight without trying..NOT!
Jules- Hi..hey are you getting any rest after all your painting and moving? Thank goodness I don't have to paint the new place...but moving is just around the corner. ugh!

Okay ladies...I am going to try to post this after saving it ....never know with this computer!

Morning All!

Sassy... feel better? We should play hookie today - it is going to be like 90 today & all through Monday - ugh... I need a pool!

Jane... LOL yes that is me, I got addicted to playing Nintendo and I didn't even know my dh took that photo until I looked at them all, too funny! Obviously I was to involved in the game to notice :) oh lord this will sound like a commercial but.... I use Infusium 23 shampoo & conditioner (1x a month I use Pantene Restoratives (breakage control). Other than that it is suave mousse and Aussie hair spray :) Mickey is a Sheltie (shetland sheeddog, mini collie all 3 work). Thanks! I about shocked myself when I was able to fit into those jeans so I am wearing them today at work! No comment on the getting into his pants though LMAO!!! :p

I want a maid! Hmmm you could get a kiddie pool then you could have the excuse for the pool boy!

Sue... Have you tried the Geek Squad at Best Buy? Just a thought. I know our other home pc died and I have a neighbor who is more geeky than I am so he is redoing the hard-drive for me (talk about luck, but I guess that is fair seeing how I watch their kids for nothing from time to time)

Have a super dooper TGIF!!!!

Sue--well we moved DD's ac from DS's last night and all of DS's gf heavy stuff is moved--she said she may get me to help the final day for anything left--she and her friend have taken some boxes to her grandma's and are moving a couple of car loads each evening when they are off. SHe is almost done--she says that she didn't realize how much stuff she actually had--now it's the trying to merge her and ds's stuff...I am letting them do that battle.

Robin--We want a small kidney shaped pool and a hot tub next summer when two major bills are paid off and only one is left.....

Angelia--I have found there are just some things I can't eat anymore and buffets are out--I fell sick when I stuff myself anymore.

Jane--every now and then I get Ben & Jerry's for me and DH--satisfies his craving and doesn't affect his gout unless he eats it all in one sitting. My DH Jerry's favorite of B & J is chubby hubby--has the pretzels in it. I get a different one everytiem for me.

Marti--hope you get adjusted to the new schedule.

ALex--I guess I am going to have to come hunt you down again!!

Hope I didn't miss anyone sorry if I did--off to work for a few hours and then groceries!!!

Good Morning Ladies!

Last day of the early hour shift!:D Actually I could get used to it if I was on it longer, but the 11:00-7:30 is much better. I don't feel like I have to be in bed by 10:00 and I don't get up by an alarm clock! Strange reasons I know but hey.....

Not doing individuals again, sorry. Not enough time. They have this "bohemia mining days" going on in town this weekend. Used to be really fun, but now it's not so much, but I plan on walking to town w/James & Jhanai and checking it out.

Ok.....need to get moving. I still haven't done anything w/my hair! (picture.....medusa!)<---is that spelt correctly??

Chat w/you all later!

07-14-2006, 10:36 AM

Angie - aww, sounds like an emotional last day at the old job. I'm glad they made a fuss. They'll miss you like crazycakes. Never heard of Practical Magic, but I like the title. Here's hoping all goes well today for you.

Sue - when is your target move-in day? Are you packed yet? Probably not, since you're showing the house all the time. Yep, you've had lots of lookie loos - time for one of them to go for it! One thing I did that really helped before we moved was, I ironed all the curtains and hung them on skirt hangers by the hems so when we moved in, they were ready to go. After unlaoding boxes all days, the last thing you'll need is to have to stand and iron anything. Just a thought.

Robin - I'll have to check out your hair products and see if they come in a version for color-treated hair. Hmmm... well, I guess I'll just have to pick up a kiddie pool while I'm out today, lol.

Julie - one good thing about the Ben & Jerry's is that the containers are small. Two or 3 servings, and it's all gone. My girls try all the different flavors too. Mary's fave is Phish food. I love all the quirky names they have.

Well, speaking of Mary, she and I are going out for lunch and shopping today, postponed from earlier this week. Katie's the babysitter, lol. She needs the money. It's been so hot and extremely humid here, that I barely go outside on the porches. Not sure when we're supposed to get a break, but I'm hoping it's soon.

Have a good one!

Hi all--dropping in while doing laundry--supper was light--a huge salad from a local grocery stores salad bar--got some low fat feta cheese for mine--DH doesn;t like it--picked up a Wishbone Salad Spritzer--Balsamic Breeze flavor to try--was good. DH is tired -- started on the chopping of our winter wood supply-I wasn't home to use the chainsaw...He split it and I get to stack it--maybe tommorrow. I am really tired too for some reason.

If I am not back...hope everyone has a good night!!

hello all...

Marti,,,thats too bad about the early shift I know you could of gotten used to those hours too...

Jane,,,hope you had a great lunch with Mary...I have seen the Ben & Jerry ice cream,,,I usually go for the Haagan Daz stuff...cookie dough bad...

Sue...We spent the money and it was well worth the money for getting our computer up and running.

Im ready for a nap...long day.
My first day wasn't too bad. Lots of training...scary witha ll the new codes I will have to learn. Specially since my head is full of all the old codes from BDL. Only took me 25 min to get to work. And the people are crazy,,,funny crazy. So far all is well...I got another bouqet of flowers del to my new work...from my head hunter.

well Im taking Tan to the movies...nice cool place...ahhh

07-14-2006, 11:44 PM
Good evening..Not alot going on here tonight.
Had a busy day with a showing this a.m. We went to Lowe's..our home away from home these days. LMAO. After we came home DH went to work on painting his new storage shed. I did laundry and managed to get in a WATP walk. I even managed to eat well today and only had a snack of low fat cheese and 4 saltines. Have to get a new mindset here again....the "I can do it" one. It just seems that when I get involved in something else (like building a house and selling a house) I let my health slip. Gotta quit that!
Anyway, Jane- You didn't even tempt me with the ice cream...I must be FULL of it. :) I don't know if I have had Ben and Jerry's. I do know I love rocky road in any brand, even the light Edy's. Our finish date on the house is the end of Aug. Builder says it is on target. Since we haven't sold though we can move at our leisure. Panic later! Yikes, I haven't even thought of curtains. Heck I haven't picked out the carpet yet...but will as soon as I pick up more paint samples.
Robin- I have heard of the Geek Squad and might have to resort to calling them. I am now wondering if the trouble is my server. This computer whizzes along during the day and at night it balks. Kinda like the system is overloaded...:(
Angie- Yay, that your new job is going well. Always nice to work with (other) crazy people! j/k

No plans for tomorrow as the showing cancelled. I did go to the library and stock up on reading material so if it is 90+ I can just hibernate. Filled the gas tank as DH said with the new flare ups over seas the gas will likely go way up it ever went down much.
I do know I am going to move at some point tomorrow..either WATP or strength training. Maybe both. I sure feel better at the end of the day when I can say I did it!

Hi to everyone...Have a great week-end.

07-15-2006, 07:17 AM
Hi Ladies.

This is a call out for your help. I am pasting what I sent to Jane in a PM message. (hope that is okay, I'm very tired from working all night)

"I still haven't been doing well with my eating habits. :o We still eat out a lot and eat bad foods. It is taking its toll on me. I can feel it. So from now on I am reaching out asking for help. I'm asking my friends, family, etc. to question me about my eating habits and exercising. Its the only way. Nothing else is working so I know if I am held accountable then I will do something. So if you wouldn't mind helping me out with this, I would appreciate it. I am also going to ask the other girls as well. :^:

I'm afraid if I don't do something soon, I won't be here for much longer. I want to die an old lady, not 31 with a McDonalds bag in my hand!!!!!! :o "

So I am going to create a fitday thing (if anybody can please give me that link, I'd appreciate it) so I can log EVERYTHING I eat so I have to be held accountable. I plan on getting rid of ALL the bad foods tomorrow before work. We are going to buy all healthy stuff and no more bad foods. IF I eat out I HAVE to get a salad or a grilled chicken sandwich or wrap minus all the crap. NO exceptions!

If you are willing to help me out and would like my info (email addy, messenger ID's) then please PM me with your info and I'll PM you back with mine.

I thank you ladies so much!!!!!!!!!!!!

07-15-2006, 11:24 AM
Sassy--I know there are a lot of Fit Day users--I will start a thread with questions in General Chatter.

Sue--I tend to lose track of my goals when I get involved in worrying/doing other stuff--I lost 2 of the 4 lnbs I gained while helping the kids...

Angelia--I hope the people at your new job stay "funny" crazy instead of "psycho" crazy!! I am jealous of all the flowers you are getting.

Hi to everyone else...I have a couple of things that need done today and I need to go to work tomorrow--I am getting so far behind that it's going to make me "psycho" crazy if I don't get it under control again!!:dizzy:

Hiya ladies,

Marti - didnt see your post yesterday AM. I know you're so glad that the training is over, and you'll be back to your regular shift. :cp:

Robin - did you find a substitute for the ice cream? I mean, something that will take care of the crave when you get it? I like the chocolate frozen yogurt. It's rich, so 1/2 cup does the trick.

Julie - I picked up several bottles of that same salad spritzer and took them to my Thursday meeting. What a coincidence! I wish they'd come out with a lite Ranch like that..... guess I could get my own squirt bottle, right? Aww, I wish you didn't have to work today! If I could help you, I would.

Angelia - ah, so glad your first day is over. The other employees are funny crazy? Oh, well.. then you'll fit right in, teehee. What movie did you see? I want to see You, Me and Dupree, but will wait til after the weekend rush. I just love Owen Wilson.

Sue - you haven't thought about curtains?? Well, you better get at it, missy! LOL The end of August will be here before you know it. I'm so excited for you!

Sassy - as I said in my PM, I'll be glad to help you in any way I can! So will the other Jaded Ladies. I think every one of us feels about the same way as you, and so maybe we can do it together. Actually, I KNOW we can. is what you're looking for. It's a really cool site, and the free account is as good as the one some people pay for, imho.

A big hello to anyone else reading this.

I just popped in to say Hi and that I hope you all have a good weekend. Tomorrow will be a busy day with church and the kids. Take care and I'll see you Monday.

Shel...Girl same story but Ill be 38 years old... I know we eat out too much...its our form of entertainment with Monte and I most times cause he works so much. Im a binge eater,,,always have been, I can go days/weeks being good. And then I can go days/weeks of eating bad. Im all or nothing kind of person. So I am hoping I can kick this soon...Most times its related to stress, and with my old job being stressful...and moving to another and such I know for the next couple of weeks I still might be feeling stressed. But I am hoping I can control it better then I have been.

Sue...ya Im So this place could be a good place for me...But Jules is right,,,hopefully they don't get pschyo crazy. Have fun shopping for curtains...

Have a great day Jane.

Heading out to town here w/Jhanai so this is quick.

Got news that they want me to train one more week. Wasn't thrilled, but I'm not going to say "I can't do that" (I need the training)

Anyway......I will do individuals later on if I can. But I do want to address one gal here.....

Shel---Wanted to let you know that we're all here for you! should get you what you're looking for. I used it long ago and seemed to have forgotten about it. I should get back on. You're so not alone here. I have been seeing my weight climb up rather than go down so I've been struggling too. With all of us getting together and supporting each other, we'll get through matter how much time it takes.

Ok...must get moving.

Try and be back on later!

Thanks Everybody!

You all made me feel a lot better and I know we can all do this together! :cheer: I want to send out :dust: for anybody who may need it.

I will post more on my days off, I promise. Just so :tired:

Just a quickie before I am out the door to go to work....

Sassy--we are here for you!!!

Angelia--you never know about new co-workers--they are usually all nice at first...hopefully they stay that way and don't try to pull you into the office gossip/ know there has to be some..I have never worked in a place where there wasn't....

Marti--hope you had fun with Jhani

Jane--hope you have fun on this busy day for you!!

Sue--right now in our area it is just below $3.00 amd I heard it will go up to $4.00--good thing DH and I work at the same place/same shift and can ride together in my little Tercel, if it keeps going up we will have to move to the motorcycle!!

Hi to Robin, Alex and everyone else!!

07-16-2006, 01:36 PM
Good Morning Ladies....

Well Jhanai & I went to town and spent most of our day there. Wasn't a lot to do but we didn't want to go home!:D She ran into her best friend while we were there. (now remember, they both live in Eugene!) So it was a nice little meeting for her.

Tried to be good w/food while I was there. Shared some nachos w/Jhanai. I figured it was better than eating the whole thing. Came home and did much better. Big salad, lowfat cottage cheese, and a small piece of pork rib. Not the best but lots better than I have been doing!

Starting tomorrow, I'm working out. Whether it be at work or at home I need to do it. I found an unused journal and plan on using that to record eating and exercising. I've been noticing discomfort while I sit, how I feel in some clothes and etc.......time to get serious. It's no longer a "I feel fat" just by looking at myself in the mirror. I "physically" feel fat and uncomfortable.

I haven't felt this bad in so long so I know I must not be that far from my highest weight! And that is disturbing and sad.

I will be putting some not so cute photos of myself to show how far I have let myself go in the last year or so and keep that on the front page of the journal. May stick it on my fridge too! If I can find a photo of a "little" me I will put it side by side. Show me where I'm at and where I want to be.

So....I'm also going to start back up Angie's point challenge tomorrow. Anyone else want to do that or is there something else?? Remember, we've done the 21 day challenge, the weekly challenge and the points challenge. So we have choices to choose from. What ever it may be, it really time for me to : GET SERIOUS!! :D

Ok...time to get moving today.

Hugs to you all!!

Getting a bit long, almost to the end so lets close this one and head on over to 203!
