WW Food and Point Issues - ideas on counting points for recipes?View Full Version : ideas on counting points for recipes? nicmama 07-04-2006, 01:21 AM New to WW and wanting to know any good short cuts to calculate points in the recipes I am using. any help, tips? Thanks Nic:) gremlina 07-04-2006, 01:13 PM If you have WW online or WW Etools you can put it in recipe builder. I love recipe builder..its very helpful for counting pts..especially if you like to make things from scratch like I do. You can then put the number of servings etc. and it will tell you the pts. per serving. Kelly_S 07-04-2006, 01:39 PM There are 3 ways to do points for recipes: 1) total the calories/fat/fiber for each ingredient and divide by the number of servings then figure the points 2) total the points per ingredient and divide by the number of servings 3) get a program like MasterCook or the RecipeBuilder at W/W Online/E-tools and let the program figure the values (***Mastercook with give nutritional info and you still figure the points from that). MistySeptember 07-04-2006, 02:12 PM I use master cook. The recipe builder on e-tools is often wrong. Or it was when I used it. It capped fiber at 4 grams per RECIPE not per SERVING. Mastercook is like $15 on ebay. So it's also WAY cheaper than e-tools or WW online. Kelly_S 07-04-2006, 03:06 PM Misty, I agree 150%. BTW you can usually get the previous version of Mastercook on 5dollarsoftware.com (I think that is the website). nicmama 07-05-2006, 01:28 AM Thanks for the info. I'll try ww tools free for two weeks while I am waiting for mastercook from ebay. Thxz nic vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
