Not me. I do have a popup stopper, though.
Good morning, Heather!
I have been plagued by the same popup! And I have a popup blocker.
It is most annoying:mad:

yes, I have a pop blocker as well - that works great - maybe one of us should send one of the moderators a pM about it - it has to be a server setup - I just wanted to make sure I hadn't possessed my pc or something ---
How do you get their PM's?
OH by the way - Good morning to all of you!!!

I received your email, thanks! I'll investigate it now. For those of you that are getting it, can you tell me what browser you use? IE, Firefox, etc? Did it just start yesterday or have you noticed it before?

I am using IE -- and honestly I can't remember if it was this morning or last night -- LOL I am thinking it started last night, but I am not positive about that -- but it us definately only happening on this site -- Thanks !

I usually use Firefox, and didn't notice the pop. I launched IE, and still didn't get it. Could you do me another favor? The next time any of you get the strange pop, could you make note of the ad banner that is showing either on the top or the right side of the page? It's probably related to one of those, and we can remove it from the loop.

I found something strange - I googled tk1.storage.msn to see what I could find out and a lot of people on a Bob Dylan reported seeing the same thing a few weeks ago. However, they don't run any ad banners at all, so it wasn't coming from an ad.
Have any of you run a spyware checker to see if you might be infected with something? Some types of spyware or adware will target specific websites or keywords, then launch various popups. For example, we got a lot of complaints from someone last year that was getting porn popups every time she visited 3FC. She had some type of adware that had hijacked her browser, and it targeted the keywords 'fat chick' to spawn porn, so she only got the ads when she came to our site. Naturally, she though we were serving them, lol.
I'm continuing to research this, but wanted to mention this as a possibility. If you have something like Lavasoft AdAware installed, you might want to scan your system and see if it spots anything.

Thanks Suzanne for looking into this for us. I was getting the same thing this morning, but not this time.

hmmm, I will ask my network team to do a spyware run on my pc just to make sure - but we are pretty secure. I will let you know if I see any consistent banners associated with the popup - but I haven't had any since lunch......
and thanks for giving this attention - that means alot !!

hmmm I'm getting it again.....I don't get the ads - I have them all blocked, so I can't associate anything with the popup - I'm still investigating....

Actually it might be related to something else, lol. I just found another reference on another site that leads me to believe it's related to images that are hosted on MSN accounts. If you view a thread that someone has linked photos from their MSN account and if you are not logged in via your MSN passport, then it will pop up the message asking you to log in.
That's my theory at the moment. :dizzy:

now that sounds like your getting into something - we have been posting some photos the last day or so - so I bet that might be on the right track......

Thanks, that would make sense. I've not been able to find any other explanation for it. However, I did run across some msn photo links on the internet that began with tk1.storage.msn. I also remember many times being prompted for my msn passport login when clicking a link to someones photo album, though it wasn't via a popup window. Maybe their rules are different for hotlinking photos.
Well that's a big relief! I was afraid it might be a new type of virus
