I mentioned in another post yesterday that I was going to see a plastic surgeon today about a tummy tuck. Well I'm bummed b/c I found out that he can't do it (had he agreed I'd not have to pay a dime as he's a military doc). So I'll have to pay for it myself and the other PS I had a consult with quoted $18900.00 for everything ( 3 seperate procedures). Who can afford that? So I need your best tips and tricks on how to camoflauge the extra skin. I've heard of Spanx and Rhonda Shear shapewear items but I'd love to know what you use? Tell me about your underwear ladies. LOL!!

why can't he do this? is it regulations or skill? i'm thinking that if you're having medical issues from the skin - like infections and stuff - that it should be covered.

no help on the undies from me!

Well one way to look at it is that it is a car. One thing you could do is pretend that you are paying car payments for the next few years and save up the money. You could look at a high yield bank account which pays up to 5%.
Here is a list of banks with internet based savings accounts:

Thanks ladies. It's a time issue as he is being deployed to Iraq. Ah well, it wasn't meant to be. I've decided not to let it bum me out. I've decided to just try to learnto love myself the way I am skin and all. ;) If it's meant to be it will work out some day.

I'm right there with ya Pam. I know it would be a long time, if ever, I could afford plastic surgery, but getting the weight off is worth it. I use this camasole made by Barely There to smooth me out on top.
