Is anyone familiar with pilates? do you do it? do you like it?
Looking for something new to try and have thought about this but I don't know much about it.
Do I need any special equipment? any suggestions for dvds?

yes I do I like it? no, its exercise :lol3: but I love the way I look when I do them all the time.

I suggest picking up a beginners tape or dvd for them, I started with pilates for dummies....took it out from the library. Then moved on to some of the others.

Something to look for when buying the tapes/dvd, make sure it is geared to all levels (in the beginning) that way it will offer alternative exercises to do until you can do the other move.

Im going to start the pilates classes next week at the gym.

I've got pilates...but don't do it and don't like it. It makes me sick to my stomach. Which I guess is normal for some people because it means you're using your muscles :lol:
I should have gotten a "Pilates for Dummies" !! I much prefer the WATP tape (when I exercise).

I've seen WATP mentioned here a lot. What exactly is that?

I do pilates at my gym, basically the same thing as the dvds and i love it. definately a good work out.
