Popping in really quick just to say that I have not been feeling well. So I'm going to rest for a couple days and get my eyes off the computer hoping that'll help.

I'll be back when I'm feeling better.

hey all,

Alex, you have a awesome boss. There are not enough people out there like that. But you already know that. Great job on the 2 lb loss too.

Sue, that is one thing I just detest is always stressing about all the clutter and how easily it is to make a mess.

Kathy,,,hopefully you get your computer up and running soon.

Marti,,,still with the cramps? You have had them for days...when do you have your physical?

Jane, lucky Mary and Katie.. I want to do that one night.
About the peanut allergy,,,I know that Chapman's ice cream is peanut free. My cousins daughter has a fatal allergy to peanuts so Ive learned to watch everything if I know we are going to be near them. Can you google peanut allergy and find out what things out there that have hidden peanut/oil in them? And what things that are safe?
Im not fatal allergic to anything but do have allergies and learned recently that corn chips have a banana by product in them. Im allergic to bananas and get hives...nothing dreastic. But I had eaten a salad that had a few corn chips on the top.

Sassy,,,ya you need a new car. How did the blood work go?

Robin,,,Monte is now hunting for one of those ipod things,,,told him about using it at work and he was ya....good idea.

Michelle, hope your headache went away,,,I had a migrain for most of yesterday and still have the residue feeling of achy/bruised and upset tummy.

well yesterday almost killed me. I did my interview,,,this was with a head hunter. I had to do testing first. 3.5 hours later I staggered out. I was exhausted and had a pounding headache. Which later turned into a full blown migrain. I got some great marks, and not so great marks. My math and problem solving was fantastic. But typing was bad. But then again being timed and coughing uncontrolably could be the reason. They did offer to let me do it again,,,but I felt so crumby by then I just wanted to leave. They did already have a job for me to check out.
I got home from work and went straight to the chiropractors,,,that was brutal as he adjusted me and I have a migrain,,but I knew my neck was out, and from coughing my back felt out. So I think that and stress could of triggered how I was feeling. Came home and went to bed. That was 6:30.
Im hoping for a great day...hoping Wayne calls me. Well Im off to shower...
have a fanastic day Ladies.

KATHY... I hope your computer problems get better, and hope to talk with you soon! Have a good day!

MARTI... I'm very sorry that you're still not feeling very well. I'm still having a lingering headache.:( Get some rest and hope to hear from you again soon!

ANGIE... These migraines are horrible and can really run a person down!:( I hope you're feeling much better today and your tummy is okay too!;)

JANE... Sorry you have to be SO busy, but I do hope you get some time to sit down and relax today.;) My dizziness problems have been going on for many years, and I've been to an ENT specialist and had testing done. I have a lot of scar tissue build up in my inner ears, especially my left ear, and there's nothing that can really be done. I take a 1/2 tablet daily of Meclizine, and it seems to help me out pretty good, but every once in awhile, I have a really bad day.:(

Thank god it's FRIDAY!!!

Not much going on and really don't have much to say but wanted to drop by and say Hi!

KATHY...hope you get your computer problems worked out soon, miss you!

MICHELLE...glad you get some relief from the dizziness. Hope you are feeling weel today.

MARTI...hope you get feeling better.

SUE...woohoo on getting half the roof done! I decluttered too when we listed the house. Took down all my pictures in the hallway and on my picture wall in the living room. Didn't put the pictures back on the wall, instead we bought a tapestry to put there. Thought one big thing there would look less cluttered than all those pictures. Going to put the, rather some of the pictures in the hallway as soon as I find the little ones that is, lol! I have looked everywhere and can't find them! The big ones I had on my scrapbook table in the office in the basement...thought I packed the little ones but we have searced high an dlow in storage and nothing. Anyway...I too am fair skinned but I can't stand to be stuck inside all the time and I so enjoy working in the yard. Gives me something to do and helps V out at the same time.

JULES...are ya out there missy? Missing you and hoping things are well with you.

Anyway...HI to everyone else

When I pick V up today we are headed to Lowes and to take him to get a haircut. The man hardly has any hair and I love how it curls when it gets a little long, but he hates it. Likes it very short.

Have a good weekend ladies!

MICHELLE..I like you new picture/avatar. I think this one is the best so far! Geez, wish I had a digital camera to get a photo up quicker than going through a roll of film and then having it developed. Thik I may buy one of those disposable cameras and waste it taking lots of photos to get "one" that turns out, lol. Hope you have fun with your niece and shopping. But then grocery shopping is never fun is it? I actually don't mind it sometimes, and then other times I just can't stand going. Yesterday was one of those days I actually enjoyed it. I HATE going to Lowes though...that place is almost as crazy as Wal-Mart sometimes, especially on the weekend :yikes: Anyway, have a GREAT day Michelle!

Hi ladies,

Kathy - I haven't heard from you for awhile and have been wondering how you are. Hope you get your 'puter problems squared away real soon. Even since the internet guys were here last week, I've been good to go, but I feel your pain, lol.

Marti -hope you're much better by the time you read this.

Angie - yikes, what an interview! And is Wayne the guy from the other job? Whoever he is, if you want him to call, I hope he does. I never thought to Google peanut allergies. I did go to WebMD when she had hives, but thank you for the tip.

Michelle - is the scar tissue from multiple ear infections? My Katie had them constantly when she was little, and even had an eardrum burst. I felt like the worst mother in the world when that happened! But her doc said she had built up such a tolerance to ear pain, that the poor kid didn't register the pain like others would have, until it was too late. Hope you have fun with your niece today.

Cristi - I forgot now what you said to me on the other page, lol. Anyway, have a good time in Lowe's. I can get into lots of trouble in that store.

Hello to anyone I missed.

I was able to peek in for a few minutes. Katie and Mary took the girls swimming in town, so I've got some quiet time. :) Neal and I are going to go sit on the patio in a little while, now that it's all screened in. He still has to put the criss-cross lattice on the bottom of it, but that's all that's left. Poor man has worked his tushy off. I'll have to think of some way to reward him. :D

See ya on the flip side!

Michelle can you send your meds over to me? Actually its almost all gone,,,I just have the bruised feeling. My right eye didn't want to work today...lol

Jane,,,your patio will look so nice. I have alot of scar tissue in my ears too, spent alot of time with ear infections as a child and well as an adult. Did have surgery once for them.

Well Im off to hang out with my friends...have a great night everyone

Hi everyone--sorry I have been missing--Dh and I took off this week and I worked harder physically here than I do at work (work is very mental and hard in different ways), also having problems with my phone line--hubby had to replace a "splitter" that allows the phone and the computer to be both hooked up and it was giving both problems. Wednesday was our anniversary--I finished weatherproofing the back deck and then we went to our favorite Mexican place and then for a long bike ride--it was so nice. Today I was going to finish another coat of the weatherproofing on the back deck and my aidorondack(sp?) chairs but ended up taking DS to the emergency room--he has all the symptoms with the exception of a fever for appendicitis--they did a cat scan and blood work but nothing came back saying it was it--he has a dull aching pain (since Tuesday night) in the right spot and is feeling sick on his stomach--they said to watch him close and if he starts vomiting again, gets a fever or the pain gets worse he is suppossed to go straight into the er again.

Plan on being back tomorrow to catch up on individuals!! Have a great night!! It's only 8:30 and I am ready for bed already!!

Hello Chicas!

How are you? Me? Ok......

Well yesterday was interesting at the drs. office. We sat there around 30 min. and for our dr. that is very unusual. Then we hear sirens and see a Lifesquad pull up and the nurse goes and opens the drs office door.

We're not sure what happened, but it was for a patient in the back, that was seeing the dr so that was the hold up. Since we had to be at work and under all the circumstances, we just went ahead and rescheduled. So I don't know what my blood work says. It is most likely bad since I've been a bad girl. :( But we shall see.

Kathy - I hope your computer probs get solved! ;)

Marti - I hope you feel better soon! :sp:

da fat n da furious - Ouch! I hope your neck, back feel better and I hope your migraine went away!

Cristina04 - My husband hair curls when its long too and he prefers his short as well. ;)

Jane - I hope you enjoyed your quiet time!

jules1216 - Wow you've been busy! Sorry to hear about your son, I hope he is alright! Happy Belated Anniversary! :woo:

I hope everybody has a Wonderful Weekend, I be working so have some fun for me please?! lol. :sunny:

Morning ladies...

JULES...so sorry to hear about DS...(((((HUGS))))) to him and I hope he gets to feeling better soon. Sounds like you and DH had a nice week and a belated HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! :balloons:

SHEL...kind of scary what happened at the docs office...did you ever find out what happened? I am so nosey I would have asked...just like when the traffic is backed up from an accident...don't want to see people hurt but ya gotta see what happened, or I do anyway, lol. Well, I can say I won't be having fun this weekend. DH is working so I will be cleaning house and reading. I started a book a couple of days ago by John Saul and didn't want to put it down last night. So I am wanting to get it finished. Other than that, just hanging around the house.

That's about all I have...HI to everyone else!

Take care and have a great weekend!

Good morning ladies,

Angie - I'm thinking of putting tropical leis and flip-flop decorations on the patio, just for the fun of it. I can get resin flip-flops that hold tea light candles at Terry's Village. Any news yet from the interviews? Hope you had fun with your friends last night.

Jules - yikes, hope your son is ok. With no fever, he'll probably be alright before you know it. Do you ride often? Enjoy the deck.

Shel - what all are they testing your blood for? Here's hoping for good results. :crossed: Too bad you have to work today. Will you get a day off during the week to make up for that? I'll have enough fun for both of us, ok?

Hello to everyone else.

Vincennes is having a huge celebration to honor Red Skelton this weekend. He was born here and his widow donated $$$$ to the university for a performing arts center in his name. Anyway, there are lots of fun things to do so I think we're going to go check it out.

Next weekend I get to go see the Temptations in Owensboro, KY. I have loved their music since I was a teenager, and am fascinated by their dance moves. Only one of the guys is original to the group, but that's ok.

Gotta call Maggie! It's 7:30 Saturday, and she'll be waiting for the phone to ring....

Have a good one, ladies. :)

Shel-- I hope your bloodwork comes back okay

Crisitina--DS's gf is watching him very closely--she has been waiting for him to decide she's the one for over three years so she's not going to let anything happen to him--she actually came to the ER during her lunch break to see him--she took a picture of him all hooked up to the IV with the lovely hospital gown on--he says that he will get her for it!! They are so cute together!!

Jane--the deck looks great!! we do enjoy it. The weather has been perfect this week. Your decorating plans sound fun--everyone should enjoy it!!

Hi to all!! I may be back later!!

Morning everyone............

Feeling a bit better. The cramps are gone and so is the headache.... For now anyway...I also stopped drinking coffee so much because my face was breaking out so I'm sure part of the headache pains was from that!!

Gonna have coffee today!:D

Kathy--Darn computers! Hope it starts working again soon.

Angie--You know...James has asked me when was the last time I've had a physical....it's been years. So I really need to find a doctor soon and get in there. I think it's been at least 4yrs. Who knows what could be going on in me! You poor thing having to go through all that testing while you feel crappy!! I hope Wayne calls you too...so let us know!

Michelle--Hope that you're not sufferring today w/a headache. We had a gal at work who had horrible migraines. She finally got sent to the hospital and was out of work for at least 6mos. She's back now but I don't know why she ended up going to the hospital. Scarey. I love the new pic by the way!

Cristi--James has REALLY curly when his hair grows out. Really cute too....but it's driving him nuts so tonight I'll be cutting hair. I find it amazing how much hair comes off his head! It's almost like we have a third dog at home!:D

Jane--How nice to have a patio you can lounge in that's enclosed! What a great man you have there! Have you thought of something really nice to do for him yet?? Fathers Day is next weekend...are you having a BBQ? Oh wait...you're going to go see the Temptations! How fun. You'll have to tell us all about it when it's over.

Shel--I hope your blood work comes out ok. How crazy that must have been to see all that commotion while you were waiting!

Jules--Wonder whats wrong w/your son if they took test and can't see any problems w/the appendix. Good for the girlfriend to take pictures!:D

Ok ladies....I need to get off the computer. My eyes ache already.

You all have a great weekend!

hey you all....
fantastic day,,,slept in mmmm that was sooo awesome. Have to admit I am feeling great,,,did the house cleaning grocery shopping and went all clean with that.
Jules, one of the ladies had her appendix burst and didn't know about it.. Showed up as a bladder infection. Using heavy antibiotics it held off the poison from going elsewhere. But she is was one very ill woman. I went and visited with her last week. She spent a week in the hospital. Can't do surgery cause her BP was too low. So they had a shunt in her side. Yuck draing everything. They are hoping to do surgery possibly this week...to clean up everything inside.
Jane,,,love that idea. I saw the cutest lil flower light string. That would work so well for you. Let me know if you think so too...k? I saw today they make quaker granola bars peanut free.
Marti,,,still no word...*whimper. I will call Monday if he hasn't by then. The tests came back awesome,,,other then my typing. But I was happy overall.
Monte won't let me cut his hair anymore...lol His is so short and blonde and STRAIGHT that any mistakes are clearly shown...lol

Well still have the cold but feeling so much better...no signs of the lasting migraine. One of the ladies at work has a connection to someone coming home from way down east. So we got to buy some fresh live lobster. Well actually we made them cook it for us. I can't do that. I barely could eat it with their lil eyes looking at me.
Anyway should get going...Monte and I are going to go see Hair together. I funked up some old jeans and have a plain old tunic. let my hair dry naturally...ya I think Im cool...or should I say groovy...lol

Good Rainy Saturday all! lol.

It is only 59 degrees here F! It is June, right? lol.

Cristina- I'm not sure what happened. I am very nosey and wanted to stay to find out, but we had to go to work! Darn it! Maybe we'll find out at our next appt! I wish I could be home cleaning as it NEEDS it! lol.

Jane - Blood tests are for my A1C (checks my blood sugar), yes my days off are M - W. I work Thurs - Sun 6 p.m. - 4 a.m. And thanks for having fun for me! :D Sounds like you are going to have lots of fun! My gramps loves Red Skeleton! ;) Where are you located, if I may ask? I'm outside of Cincinnati, OH.

jules1216 - thanks!

Marti - thanks. Yeah it was rather crazy! :dizzy:

I hope everybody is doing well and feeling great! :cheer:

MARTI... I still woke up this morning with a 'slight' headache, but I'm happy it went away as the day went on.:^: They run in our family and they are very nasty and painful! Maybe you do need to go in for a full physical, and ask to be referred to a OB/GYN specialist. If you explain all the problems you're having, to where it is affecting your life every month with all of your symptoms, you might be able to have a hysterectomy. The specialist I saw said that she couldn't believe I wasn't in their sooner to have the surgery, because my problems every month were horrible and they were controlling my life.:(

ANGIE... So glad you're feeling better with the cold, and I sure hope you find something out soon with your interview!:crossed: ;)

Hiya ladies,

Just a quick one here. We're leaving in a bit to visit some friends in town.

Shel - I am about 2 1/2 hours south west of Indy. Have you heard of Evansville or Terre Haute? I'm right in the middle of those 2 towns, right on the Indiana/Illinois border, in the country, near Vincennes. It's one of those places that make people say "you can't get there from here" lol.

Hey ladies..Hope you are all having a wonderful day. It is rainy and chilly here. We did lots of running this afternoon looking for the perfect refrigerator. :) I think I am going to stick with the one I originally picked.
I made DH corn bread and biscuits to get him through the week so MAYBE I can eat better this week.(if I am not baking) I bought watermelon and salad fixings, squash and zuchini.
When it quits raining I am going to get out my bicycle and clean it up. I think I will ride it since I don't have a walking partner. DH has pooped out on me since he has so much going on with the house.
Sooo, as I keep saying...I am going to try again!

Talk to you all tomorrow!

Good day all,

Monte and I went and bought our carpet finally for the basement. There always seems to be more things to do around the house. Makes it hard to do extras. But I did get some extras in,,,since its been raining the whole weekend...I didn't have any yard work to do so I cleaned the windows,,,the sills and such. So gritty from the dust when I open the windows. I love having the fresh air but hate the film of dirty it leaves.
Well I should get the laundry folded...
have a good night all

Hi Everyone.

Have to do a quick wave before the internet kicks me off. There is a company that wants to put a Hi Speed internet (what ever it is they use) sort of tower in our yard so that people out of town can get hi speed to. We will have to check that out.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and that Michelle, Marti and Angie are feeling better.

Hello to everyone.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better computer day.

So here's a quick shout out to you all: Angie, Marti, MaryKate, Sue, Jules, Shel, Cristi, Robin, Michelle, Alex, Kathy, Laura, and anyone I may have forgotten. I'll be back after I get a few things done. (I really really need a housekeeper!)

Morning everyone!

Yesterday was spent on the couch not wanting to move. The headache doesn't seem to want to go away. I'm thinking it's my teeth!! Must go in to the dentist if this doesn't stop. So far so good today.......great, just in time for a work day!:dizzy:

Angie--You groovy girl you!:D Made me laugh when I read that. Still haven't heard from Wayne?? Well I guess it was the weekend, so hopefully you'll hear something today.

Shel--Did your bloodwork come in yet? Keeping fingers crossed that it's all good. You work 10hr shifts?? I wish I had 10hr shifts and a four day week. That would be fabulous!:D

Jane--I've been to Terre Haute and thought it was one of the prettiest towns I've seen! It is so welcoming! My ex has family there and when we lived in Illinois we went to visit often. That was waaayyy back in the early 90's.

Michelle--I do need to get into the doctor soon. My hubby is wanting me to be checked too. Says that 4yrs is too long. I'm thinking that after my vacation I will look into it.

Sue--I KEEP saying I'm going to air up my tires to my bike, but James is not home long enough in the daytime for me to have him take it in to do that! Would love to get up and ride a mile or two.

Hi Kathy & Jules! Post more when you get the chance!!

Ok...I'm like Jane, I have to get off of here before my whole morning is over. So I will check in after work!

Have a great day!

Hello ladies...

I would say Happy Monday but it is gloomy and ugly. Don't even want to get out today.

MARTI...V let me cut his hair a few times but now insists on having it done, lol. Honestly, I think I do a better job than some of those women but oh well. I cut my hair all the time too in between going and having it done. I do the sides and layers and have DD cut the back, just as good as spending $45-$60 bucks to have it done.

JANE...I would love to have a screened in deck. I enjoy sitting out there but sometimes the bugs are awful. I've seen those thongs and they are cute!

ANGIE...figure one day you will acknowledge me, lol, you can't ignore me forever, or can you? :D Anyway, new carpet sounds exciting! Can't wait 'til we get new carpet in the living room and do the wood flooring.

KATHY...hopefully you get your computer glitches worked out. I had computer problems this weekend, well, actually telephone problems. V planted some day lilies in the back fo rme and hit the telephone line and cut it, ooopsie! Thanks goodness he knows how to fix things like that. Otherwise we would have had to call the phone company and be charged a LOT! He did fiber optics for AT&T for years.

JULES...hope you get the pile down on your desk! Nothing like coming back to lots of work, eh? Glad you and hubby had a nice time though.

SHEL...love your avatar! One of these years when I get a good head shot I will put up. We were supposed to get rain over the weekend but nothing. Then last night they say no rain in sight for a while and what do we wake up to? Thunderstorms, lol! Still raining...not complaining though because we need it and that means I don't have to water the lawn, lol!

SUE...I love watermelon! I didn't get any when I bought groceries but I too bought salad fixin's and fruit and veggies.

Hi to everyone else

Anyway...not much going on today. Was going to go to It Figures but not in the mood, besides I just took a shower and that would be stupid, lol. So will go tomorrow instead. Doing a load of laundry right now and got the dishes started in the dishwasher and just need to vacuum.

Have a good day ladies!

Hi people! Quick pop in as I need to get to cleaning!

Thanks for all the kind comments about my avatar. Its my wedding pic so I figured I couldn't go wrong! lol.

Yes I work 10 hour shifts and a 4 day week, which is great, means 3 days off! :D They are talking about moving hub to a 3 day week though but not me. So if that happens that means I would have to drive in seperately every night, which stinks because that is the whole reason we wanted the same shift -- to save gas $$. But oh well guess they are going to do what they are going to do. Also means we have to get the truck fixed or buy a new car and we don't have the fundage for either right now................sigh

Well I'm off to clean!!!!!!!!

Hello All,
Sassy, your right you can never go wrong with a wedding picture. I always believe every happy bride is beautiful.

Michelle, yay for no migraine! I woke up and felt wonderful today. No headaches like you and the cold is more or less gone.

Hey Marti,,,hows it going man? I will have to take a picture of that costume. I loved it. You really should get checked and yes,,,your teeth too. Could be an infection,,can't spell the word..absesed?

Jules...you know you are needed when.....you can't see your desk.

Jane,,,did you get your house work done?

Well I called Wayne,,,couldn't wait any longer. And he had bad news. I didn't get the job. Came in second...close second. Because I don't have my papers for Accounts Payables he couldn't hire me...hmmm thought this was a receptionist job...aahh well. Have already applied and 3 places since being home for the last hour and will be heading out shortly to fax a few more out. Plus have to take Tan to Winners to look for a Italian Soccer Shirt. Didn't even know he liked soccer.
I have to train this new woman at work tomorrow...shes into her third week...shes been trained by 2 others. Im her last hope. yay.... Seriously I hate to say this but our job market is insane. There are so many places hiring,,,but no one wants to work for the pay they are offering. We make good pay. But we are only part time. And it seems the last 4-5 people hired have been well how can I say this delicately...hmmm I can't...they are WACKED.
well i should get over to the post office and fax my stuff.

Hi ladies...

Just read through all of this thread and last one to try to catch up a bit. Been back at work full time and by the end of the day my arm has been pretty sore, just haven't been up to typing.

Noah looks like he pulled up his grades to passing (by the skin of his teeth) in most of his classes, thank goodness. And for summer school, he can make up two classes he didn't pass, and hopefully be back on track with a fresh start next year.

Angie, you'd be surprised how many songs you'll want on your Ipod. I am very happy with the 2GB Nano Tim got me for Christmas -- and I have about 50 Beatles songs alone, so yeah, it can fill up fast. Based on songs approximately 4 min long, the Apple website says the 1GB will hold 240, the 2GB 500, and the 4GB 1000. Sorry you didn't get the job you were hoping for, but that could mean a much better one is just around the corner  The way you are dressing for "Hair" sounds like the way I dress every day! Yeah, funny...but also true...

Jules, my paperwork is screaming for attention, too...I put ear plugs in, but now the papers have a life of their own and have shuffled across the floor to tug at my pant leg...wow, I think I have a good idea for a horror short story now

Shel, nice to meet you, and love the wedding pic avatar. My avatar is an actual picture of me, too...whaddya think? :D ;) My hubby works 4 10's like you -- he hates the long hours but loves the three day weekends every single week. I am supposed to work 9 hour days with every other Friday off, but since my surgery, they haven't let me work my regular schedule. :tantrum: :censored: :headache: :bomb: grrr...

Jane, the tropical theme patio decor sounds so fun for summer! I would love to get a housekeeper, too, but need to de-clutter before anyone could come in and truly clean this place. *sigh* So for now, I feel like I'm just treading water. Barely. Kind of drowning, actually...

Michele, love your new avatar :D I can't live without my digital camera. Sony Cybershot 3.2 megapixel, easy to use for the basics, but still don't know how to work the bells and whistles. But when we go on trips I will take sometimes 10 or 12 shots of the same thing, fill up the whole memory stick in a day -- then we empty the camera on to the laptop every night, and get rid of all the pics we don't want, keeping only the best, and the memory stick is empty and ready for the next day. Some day I would like to write travel articles, and you can sell them for more if you have digital pics to include.

Marti, I don't have to cut Tim's hair, because he shaves his head! I used to cut my boys' hair when they were little. Erik was so incredibly fidgety when he was two or three that his dad used to have to sit right in front of him and feed him one M&M :m: or one Skittle at a time to have him sit still, while I cut his hair as fast as I could. Luckily, he had very curly hair, so the mistakes were hard to see.

Robin, if I didn't already thank you, then thanks for looking for that hat on Mackinac. Maybe I'll try calling the few shops that have phone numbers listed online, and one of them will know if they are still sold somewhere on the island.

Shoot, it's 7:50 and still haven't made dinner. Have no clue what I'm going to make. I slept all day, actually. Sunday, I woke up with some kind of weird allergic reaction. My hands and feet were incredibly itchy, but no rash, it was so bizarre. So I took a Benadryl and it knocked me out for a few hours. Then I woke up itching again. I had hives off and on, first on one arm, then the other, then on my rib cage, then on the first arm again -- the itching just travelled around my body, was making me crazy! Then I started having chest pains, every 20 minutes or so, like my chest was tightening up and squeezing, and it hurt all the way to my back. That finally scared me, and Tim took me to the ER about 9pm. We were there until about 1am...and the doc said the weird chest pains definitely seemed like part of the allergic reaction, but could not figure out what caused it. I haven't eaten anything different, or changed any meds, can't think of anything I came in contact with. Might have been a bug or spider bite? They gave me a shot of Benadryl and sent me home with a prescription for some other kind of antihistamine. I was still itchy and hive-y this morning, but right now :crossed: :crossed: :crossed: I'm not. Hope it finally ran it's course!

OK, gotta try to make something for dinner. Hi to everyone else, and talk to you soon!

Hi ladies,

I'm on my way to bed, but wanted to check in. Tomorrow I'm having lunch with my niece and have to do some errands. We had 3 acres of land surveyed awhile back for our son, and now we want to get it transferred officially in his name, so that calls for a trip to the court house at the very least. Plus, I noticed that the day I'm having a lunch for company (Thursday) is the same day I'm supposed to get my hair trimmed and touched up, so I have to see if she can take me tomorrow instead.

Mary Kate - yikes! Whatever it was, I hope it's gone. thank goodness it isn't your heart!

Angie - you're welcome. The style of writing struck me as one you'd like. Plus, I just know you'll like the characters.

Everyone else - hi and have a good evening, and an even better Tuesday.

I'm bushed... chat with you tomorrow sometime. <yawn>

Hi Ladies!

Well we got our cleaning all done! Yippee! AND guess what? On Wed. I will have some ALONE time (what is that?) lol. Hub is going with fil to get our air on our car fixed. ;)

I actually like working the 10 hour shifts. Not much different, as before when I was on M-F Days :barf: I worked 9 hour days (we got an hour lunch) so I would much rather work 10 (no lunch--eat at my desk) and have an extra day off. ;)

I agree, I think every bride is beautiful. Even if they are in jeans and a t-shirt, if they are truely happy and are about to marry the one they love the most in the world, then they are beautiful!

That is my dream ya know. At our 10 yr. wedding anniversary, I wanna have a Vow Renewal in the Smokey Mts (Tennessee) and I want us to wear jeans and a nice shirt and cowboy/girl hats w/ all hubs family from Tennessee there. Most got to come to our wedding, but a lot couldn't make it. (we got married here in OH) Also we love it there! :D So anyways, kinda corny, but that is my "dream".....This year in September will make 8 years, so I only have two to go! Lmao!

Have a Great Night All!

Good Mornin' Gals!!

Shel--I think your renewal idea sounds wonderful! I don't think it's corny at all! Sounds like so much fun and memorable. And that's what you want and thats all that matters! So 2yrs to plan.....keep us updated on that ok?

Jane--How many acres do you own?? I would love to own land. And have my house built on it. Someday. House buying is being put on the back burner for now, James job may relocate us....not sure where or when. Not too happy about it either.

Angie--James bought himself (well he said US, but I haven't used it yet...) an IPod after he got Jhanai hers. Of coarse he got the bigger one and he's almost got all our CD's on it. That pretty cool. Need to help Jhanai get more music on hers.

Katie--Absolutely love the start of your horror story!:D Sorry to hear that your arms are still giving you problems. Has it eased up at all?? That's the scarey thing about going in for surgery to have it fixed...and then have them still ache!

Cristi--James will not touch my hair w/scissors. Even if I say that I'm going to do part and need help w/the rest...he just won't do it. Crazy man would leave me half shaved if it came down to it. I need a cut soon and would like to get it down before vacation...so I think I'll make an appointment this weekend.

Michelle--Glad to hear your headache is gone...Maybe this week will be better for the both of us!!

Hello to anyone I may have missed.

My dogs need attention and want to go out...so I better get. But I have a couple more spots to post and then I'm outta here!

Chat w/ya later!

Cristina--we did have a great week off and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful!! Definitely worth having to catch up for!!

Michelle ma belle-I am so glad your feeling better!! How's the WATP going?

Marti--they are wondering if it DS had a small kidneystone or gallstone--the ER doctor told him to just watch himself carefully the next week or so.

Sue--my DH likes his cornbread and any other type of bread for that matter. He like cornmeal mush too. "Just like his grandma used to make"!

Kathy--I have had trouble every now and then with our internet too. Have a great day!!

Angie--They really don't need to NEED me so much!!! At this point I don't know what to start next--I will probably have to come in on Friday or Sunday to get it to a level of insanity I can handle better.

Katie--I love the lady that sits near me but sometimes she drives me to the point that I need earplugs with her constant talking. She listens to phones calls, even personal ones and comesd to talk about my conversation --one time she overheard my DD and i talking about her prenant friend and she told two people that both came to me that my DD was pregnant!! She is on vacation until the 28th so I might just be able to get some work caught up--if only the phone would stop ringing with more problems!! I will be so glad when my favorite coworker gets back from her medical--she is scheduled for a skin graft on Friday--I am hoping for a speedy recovery and her getting back her at least parttime. I can picture your horror story in my mind and maybe if the pile gets higher-in my lap too!!!!!

Jane--Have fun at the courthouse and at your lunch!

Shel-The Smokeys are beautiful--My inlaws lived in Murphy NC, about an hour west of Asheville. They always had such fun when they went down for summer. Always went to Dollywood. They also have been to Chattanooga, the Cherokee Indian Reservation, places in GA and all kinds of other fun stuff. They loved all the tubing, waterskiiing and white water rafting too!!

Hi to anyone I missed--Hey Kimberly if you are out there lurking, you need to post with us--miss you!!

Good Morning:sunny:

ANGIE --- Yes, I have not had a headache for two days now, so I'm feeling much better! I sure hope something comes out good with your interviews, and you get the job that's just perfect for you! Job searching can be so stressful on a person.

KATIECAT --- Great that Noah pulled through with his grades! My daughter's last day of school is tomorrow, and then she's a big senior! She is so anxious to be done for summer and homework. Her friend is coming here from Maine on July 29 and staying for a week, and then Brittany is going back with her to Maine on August 6 for a week. They are also taking her to Boston and New York, and since she's never been to the East coast, and her friend has never been to the West coast, they are both very excited! Your digital camera also sounds very nice. We took it over to my sister and BIL's house on Sunday when we went for a BBQ, and we had lots of fun with it. I love that you can view all of your pictures, delete the bad ones, and only print up the ones you want, even 2 or 3.

JULES --- I'm so happy no more headache for now! I've been back OP with my WATP, doing it every morning and feeling much better. Starting next week, I'm still going to do my WATP in the morning, but my daugher and I are going up the road to a very nice park that has a track and walk there too. I'm definitely going to be getting my exercise in for the day!

MARTI --- So glad your headache is also gone and you're feeling better. It's just amazing how a headache can really run your whole day and ruin it!

JANE --- Hope you're having a nice day and that you can get your lunch and hair appointment to work out. I'm supposed to get my hair colored and cut on Friday, but I've still been debating if I'll get it done or not.

CRISTI --- I hope your enjoying your day and not working too hard!

I have a question for anyone who would know this answer. I just typed the whole post above, and when I went to submit it, I said I was no longer logged in, so I had to go backwards, copy, then resign in and post it. I don't understand why it had logged me out when I was typing my post, but this is not the first time it has done this?:?:

Suzanne 3FC
06-13-2006, 03:20 PM
I think you had this problem a few weeks ago, and I posted instructions on setting a new copy. Did it help at all at the time? If not, we may need to look at other options. Here's the original post
Michelle, staying logged in is based on cookies, so your forum cookie might be corrupt if it's kicking you off. It could also be a firewall issue, but it's probably easier to set a new cookie and see if that keeps you in. Go to www.3fatchicks.com/forum/mycookies.php and it will pull up a list of cookies related to the site. Put a check next to everything that starts with bb and then scroll down and submit to delete them. Then immediately close out your browser and restart your computer. When you come back to the forum and log in again, it will set a brand new cookie which should take care of it

I should also mention that when you do log back in after doing all of this, look for the check box beside the login that says "Remember Me" and make sure it's checked before you log in. Otherwise, your cookies may time out, and that could be the problem :)

Michelle
06-13-2006, 03:25 PM
Thank you Suzanne for that info with checking the box. I will try that, because I asked my husband about the cookies, and he didn't see anything wrong with our settings, and this is the only site I have this problem with. I'm able to stay in other sites unlimited and never kicked off. I will try though marking that box.

Suzanne 3FC

Hope it works! Make sure you do the other steps, though, to clear your 3fc cookies and set a new one, just in case the old cookie was corrupted.

good luck!

Hi All!

I am sorry I was out CAMPING! That weekend was just not long enough, that is for sure. I am absolutely swamped here so I will make it quick...

I do have pix of the pergola, if you send me your email addy, I will be happy to forward them as I haven't been smart enough to get them to show here LOL

I totally cheated this weekend with a smore & a reeces cup (ok & a hot dog) I was sooooooooo guilty & then I went for my WI & I lost 3 pounds!!! WHOOHOO :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

Now the bad, mad, depressing, totally frustrating news --- I didn't get my promotion!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR  :( :stress: :censored: :censored: :censored: Apparently HR pulled the bosses request as they have a posting for my level that is under-represented by minorities. So they would have to interview for the spot instead of just upping my classification. They won't even just give me a raise - I am in such a foul mood at the moment (ok the 3 lb loss helped it a bit, but come on!)

I am just ready to finish all the piles here and just go home. I am now counting the days until my next trip :p

Hope everyone is well and tomorrow I will do my best on individuals.

Hello ladies...

Kind of a quickie since I am running out of time.

MICHELLE...Suzanne reminded me of a time when I was having a similar problem and I figured I didn't check the remember me box, duh! Checked it and haven't had the problem since...that was last year sometime of course. Anyway, hope you got it worked out. I know how frustrating computers can be sometimes!

JANE...so does this mean DS is going to be next to you guys too? Or is it just to have his own little piece of the property? Either way I think it is great! I would love to have enough property to have my kids live there too! Have fun at the court house...should go rather smoothly for ya.

JULES...glad the weather cooperated for you and DH while you were off work. You know, I never thought about DS having kidney or gall stones...they are enough to kill ya! I had gallstones and had my gallbladder removed at 35 yrs. old, DD had hers removed at 15! I told her she had to copy me. When I was about 5 or 6 I fell and hit my head and had to have stitches and when she was 2 she fell and hit her head and had stitches.

MARYKATE...sorry to hear you arm is still hurting. But glad that DS pulled his grades up in time! Kind of odd to hear about everyone's kids still being in school...they got out here May 21 I believe...somewhere around then. Just saw the billboard at the school saying school starts August 17.

MARTI...so, James would actually leave you with short hair on the sides and long in the back? Silly man...sorry to hear that he is going to get transferred. Do you guys have any idea yet?

SHEL...I don't think it is corny either. We were going to renew our vows on our 10th too but did it on our 2nd because we didn't celebrate our first, long story sort of. Anyway, I think your renewal plans are wonderful.

HI to everyone else

Gotta get going...take care ladies and have a GREAT day!

Hi ladies,

Angie - aww, I'm sorry you didn't get the job, but I guess it wasn't meant for you. The right one will come along, you know. I need to clean my windows, too. We do have a lot of grass now, but it's still dusty around here when the wind blows.

Mary Kate - YAY for Noah pulling through! :cp: My iPod will hold approx. 1000 songs, but I only have about 200 on it so far, lol. Hope your arms are feeling better today.

Shel - enjoy your alone time tomorrow, hon. I remember the days when the kids were young, and I valued that alone time so much! Btw, I'm not sure if I commented on your avatar, but I meant to. You are beautiful! Since Tennesee is so close, I'll be looking for my invitation to your vow renewal ceremony. :D

Marti - we have 58 acres, give or take a tad, but we rent the ground to a nearby farmer. Yikes, is this news about James possibly relocating unexpected? When will you know for sure? Would it still be in Oregon?

Jules - I did have fun with my niece, Carol. Her mom, (my oldest sister) died 19 years ago at age 48 w/cancer. Carol and I are close, and to keep the bond strong, we make a point of having lunch once a month. Cornmeal mush, you say?? I haven't had that in ages. My mom used to fry it, and we kids would put butter and syrup on it for breakfast. No wonder I have a weight problem to this day, lol.

Michelle - well, I hope my stylist doesn't cut my hair too short when I go Friday AM.. She gets to talking, and cutting, and the faster she talks, the more she cuts, lol. But I do like the way my hair lays when she does it. I went ahead and colored it myself this morning. Well, the parts I could reach, lol. Go ahead and get your done - you'll feel better.

Suzanne - thank you for helping our jaded chickie.

Robin - there you are! Sorry you didn't get your promotion. :( The circumstances make the whole thing unfair, if you ask me. Tell them to call your moderator and I'll set them straight, lol.

Cristi - our son's land will be/is on the south edge of our property, aprrox. 2 city blocks away. Mary's house, however, is close. She and I are withing shouting distance of each other, lol, and we both love that. Btw, do you get the Terry's Village catalog I was talking about?

A big hello to anyone I may have missed.

Well, I called the court house before I ever left home today, and it's a good thing I did. Since our deed was never updated after Fern died, we have to take care of that first. So I made an appt. with our lawyer, and got the ball rolling. So much red tape! Then, I had a very enjoyable lunch with my niece, and stayed totally OP.

Have a good evening!

Hi ladies...

ROBIN...WTG on the 3 pounds! WOOHOO! :carrot: :bravo: And sorry you didn't get the promotion. Hope you had a GREAT weekend camping.

JANE...I do get the Terry's Village catalog...in the mail and e-mail. I have ordered lots of stuff from them and just love them! Glad you had a nice lunch!

ANGIE...sorry you didn't get the job, bet there is a better one around the corner for you.

:welcome: TRIXIE! Looking forward to getting to know you and age doesn't matter so feel free to jump on in!

Hi to everyone else

Thought I would take a few mintues and get on since V is watching basketball. I like going to games but not much on watching it on t.v. Anyway...hope everyone is having a great evening. Chat with ya soon!

Sorry I haven't posted individuals....I lost one last night after writing it, and didn't have time to type it again.
I think I told you we listed our house Thurs. We had our first showing today and I am anxious to get the feed-back. Have another showing Thurs. After one time I am already thinking it is a pain to have to leave for the length of time they are looking. AND I am not fond of strangers in my house. I better plan on staying in the new one forever. haha
So, I have been busy trying to keep things picked up and also running all the errands for the new house. Sat. we had to go show the electrician where we want everything, plugs, lights, phones, cable, yada, yada. :)
Roof shingles are on, windows are in and doors are on. It looks like a whole house, but I am anxious for the bricks. I will take more pictures and post the link again soon.

Jane- Hope you get everything taken care of on the property. Sounded like a nice visit with your niece. Congrats on staying OP.

Cristina- You are doing so good with your walking and It Figures. I know I will get the "power" back and get on track...but it just isn't happening right now. :(

Angie- I am also sorry that the job didn't come through. I know there is something better awaiting you. I don't even want to think about cleaning or washing windows. We have busted our butts getting things done. Now I have to KEEP it up.

Marti- Wow, where do you think you might have to re-locate to? That would be a bummer, but maybe exciting too. Things have a way of working out if you just look for the silver lining. You are doing great...WTG.

Robin- So sorry about the promotion. But,hey..you had camping AND lost 3 pounds. Kudos to you. Nice to have you back though.

Jules- My DH loves cornbread, but he doesn't care for mush. Now grits is another story. He loves those. I finally learned to make biscuits and cornbread to suit him (from scratch)...lots of trial and error.

Shel- Love your avatar and your plans for a renewal ceremony.

Michelle- Glad to hear that your headache is gone and hope it doesn't come back. In case I didn't tell you, I love your new avatar too.

Mary Kate- Great that Noah was able to get the grades up. I am waiting to hear if my DGS got his up and is/is not going to have to repeat some 10th grade classes. Kids can give you gray hair for sure.

Tomorrow I will have to do the ironing. Got the laundry done tonight and really don't have anything else I need to do. Maybe I can actually have a few minutes for ME. Right... :)

Hi and have a good evening to anyone I missed..and happy HUMP day to you all tomorrow.

Hey all,,,
Shel, I love your idea! I never wanted a big wedding, big dress and all that. I wanted a big ol pig roast. Out and Monte's Grandparents farm. Everyone in their favorite western wear...or not. But I just wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. Not that we didn't at our wedding,,,it was a blast! As strange as this sounds,,,our family goes in spurts with weddings. 2 other cousins got married the same month as us. Just on my side of the family. Monte's 2cousins got married back 3 months after us. Then 5 years later there ws 3 more cousins..( 1 of them happen to be one of the cousins married the same month as us...lol and since then has already divorced her and is living with some woman...guess he learned)

Marti,,,ya thats what I want...and to listen to books. So I missed what you wrote about James transferring?

Robin,,,well that just bleep. That is down right rude of them to have done that to you. 3 lbs is something to be happy about...that is just fantastic.

Michelle...weird how headaches (migrains) are so diblitating... I swear I can't do anything,,, I hate when Im on a verge of having a migrain...the panic I feel.

Jules..never thought of that but ya that could be a gall stone. If that is what hes got...bring up labour pains to him. Its the closest to labour they will get to feel. I remember working in retail as middle management. I handled all the paperwork and I remember coming back once and seeing my in box looking almost empty. Till they told me the file box next to it was my backlogged paperwork. *gulp... ya I felt the love...*snarl

Katie...(beginning intro to your horror story)it was dark rainy morning...no birds chirping, no fresh brewed coffee smells....
Yay for Noah for pulling throu. My friend Becky did the school thing yesterday. One of her twins was failing,,,and well he might still have to do summer school. But it turns out he has a reading and comprehensive problem. Similar to what I think I have when it comes to electronical things and knowing how to work them. I usually whimper and hand over to one of the guys in the family, and then wait for them to show me...the damsel in distress works for me...lol

not much happening...went to work,,,trained a woman that has been trained by 2 other people for the last 3 weeks. I just don't think she can do this type of job. Not everyone is cut out to do call centre stuff,,,right Katie? grrr
GOOD NEWS...somehow I got bumped on the Dr. McKenna's list. Was suppose to wait till Sept. But because I said Ill meet when ever I go this Thursday. After first when I heard the messege I was can't be..I admit that was a few days ago. I called them to say I did get the messege...and they were this Thursday...the 15th. I can't have caffeine, no drugs (darn what a week to have to quit,,,ha ha ha) and no exercise. Need to write a diary of what I eat. That in it self should be easy since I eat close to the same thing every day. I struggling with variety. If I go off on a new thing I worry it will trigger a binge.
I mentioned quite awhile ago about going off of white sugar right? Things have been I would say good. I still struggle and want sweet stuff, but not as bad as the first 3 weeks. The biggest problem is I have found I am eating more carbs,,,breads and such...which will be hard when I go off of while flour. Im just wanting to get away from all those things that I know just are the beginning of a whirlwind spirling down. I do find that I was more moodier when I was on sugars...Im leveling out now.
well I should get going,,,want to go watch a bit of tv.
