Joining in...think I need this. My goal is to focus as much on my physical fitness as I do on those I am training at the gym. I need to up my walking/elliptical/cardio to 45 minutes, make sure I get a solid hour twice a week of upper body resistence training, and squat, squat squat throughout the week to get my butt and legs under control.

Hey SusanArtmaker, glad to see you here!! If you want a variety of squats the new Oxygen has 8 ways of doing squat ...

This morning I did some speed intervals for 25 mins, back workout and some lunges and squats on the Bosu ball...

My deal for June is fat burning. For a not very big gal I have this roll between my sweats and my tank. And it's toooo thick to be skin.
A la BFFM ... intensity is my thing for June. I've made a new tracker and I'm studying my HRM very carefully.

Hello,

I want to set my goal to exercise for 5 days a week for the entire month of June. Plus add in 2 days of toning out of those 5 days. Put more focus on trying to tone my upper arms and thighs.

My goal is to do some type of exercise at least 4 days a week at least 30 minutes at a time. If I do more, that is even better.
Today I did a Target Toning class (41) minutes, and rode the stationary bike 10 minutes.

Hello everyone! In June I want to make exercise my top priority, and this accountability thread should help. I tend to have a few good days, and then one "not a thing" day turns into several.
I've been doing my exercising right after work since I am not a morning person (though, would love to be: AM temp 63 vs 4PM temp 93 this week!)
Yesterday, did a 30min power walk with interval jogging and lots of water, then worked on weight machine (@ home) for arms and did ab work for about 30 mins. 1 hour total.

A spring broke on my rebounder this morning (its common and easy to fix, just a pain to deal with) - so I did a kickboxing workout (48 min) that kicked my butt. This was after a 32 min stability ball session and 10 minutes on the rebounder before it broke. Total - 90 min (including 100 crunches)

I am back this month and I will keep coming (I hope!) I did 80 min on my bike this morning. Went a total of 33.80 km!

So this month I would like to spend at least 1400 min on the bike. At least 200 min doing stability like pilates and my ball work out. And get in at least 200 min of other exercising like walking, roller blading, running, etc.

Good luck everyone!

Hi ~
I'm new to this thread & I like the idea of being accountable so I'm pledging a total of 44 miles for June (which is about 30-35 mins. daily M-F). I hope to do alot more, but I want to start out slowly for fear of burnout. Happy & healthy weekend to all!

I'm beat, but it feels good. Tomorrow, the plan is to go canoeing. I hope my arms are up to it after today.

Check in for the weekend: Friday night was a bust. I ended up going with my just turned 16 yo, after work, to put in applications for the summer and I gave up on doing anything when we finally got home. But I did power walk 3 miles at the softball park Saturday morning with interval jogging (about 1/2 mile) before the first game. Glad I got it out of the way! The walking track was around a beautiful lake, but there was a fishing derby going on and between dodging duck poo and little fishers, maybe I burned a few extra calories? - LOL. Yesterday was my off day, and even though I thought about it, I decided to keep it as an off day.
Next two evenings will take more determination to exercise since I need to take my 16 yo son for a required Alcohol/Drug class in order for him to get his driver's license next week. It's in a different county so I will take my walking clothes/shoes just in case there is a park near by.
Good luck to the rest of you this week!

Susan - Powerwalk in airports? Or, if you're driving, at rest stops? Not only is it good for your monthly goal, but you also get to stretch out on looong travel days. I always powerwalk around the airport on layovers. If you have multiple rest stops/layovers/etc, why not split it into 10 minute bouts? Or, if push comes to shove, add 10 minutes onto each remaining day at your friends house.

This morning - Indian Dance workout, 100 crunches, stability ball. 2 weeks straight this month, no breaks, and so far, I've done 1400 crunches!

Thanks Rebeca. Just lately I have a buzz on to get rid of a few percentages of fat. And apparently cardio (yuck ptewy) is what works for that :) So I'm tryin'.

I just did 30 minutes of aerobics with a coupla stints on my old treadmill. Did I get my heart rate up there! Phew! So I had a shower and now I'm in my jammies waiting for the hockey game to start.

I didn't get back out for another shot of cardio yesterday. I had a bit of a headache and thought the fresh air might help but ... nope ... between the wind and my helmet ... whew! ... I was back in 4 minutes ;)
I'll do better today.

Susan - Headaches can kill the most diligent, well planned exercise plans. When you're feeling better, just jump back on the wagon. It is one obsessively dedicated person who can do cardio with a headache.

This morning - cardio (rebounder intervals), stability ball, 100 crunches. Added a new stability ball exercise for the upper back - its GOOD but leaves me a tiny bit sore - I guess those muscles aren't used to such a workout.

Haven't posted in awhile here (oops), but I'm still working hard doing the C25K program every other day. Did Week 2 Day 2 last night for 20 minutes (alt. 90 sec jog/ 2 min walk). With warm up and cool down walks gave me a total 35 minutes. This week I've added a toning video on my off nights for 30 minutes - this includes arm, leg and ab work. I'll do this tonight after work.

People haven't heard of the Gummi Bears? That was one of my favorite shows! And now the theme is stuck in my head ;)

No gym for me the past few days, I was all set to leave yesterday when a very large tree fell down across my driveway. So, instead of lifting weights I've been lifting logs!! And dragging brush, and chopping. Nothing like some woodswoman exercise! (For the record, the only casualty was the small ornamental tree the larger trunk fell on)
