Okay, with apologies to our Canadian friends, here's a place for 4th of July goals. It's the next paid holiday to look forward to! :lol:

What would you like to focus on/achieve by the 4th of July? :beach:

I simply MUST be to my personal goal of 139 by then. No ifs, ands, or butts. I'm tired of messing around with it.

My goals:

1. To have thoroughly weaned myself off of sugar! :hyper:

2. To weigh 182 or less :goodscale:

3. Be exercising at least 2 times a week :lifter:

ok didnt do so well for the last challenge but i will perservere!! under 300 for july 1st!! (july 4th is ok too...haha)

i'm changing my goal. i am not going to make mine a number on the scale. seems i lose when i do. so i'm going to do an exercise goal.

my goal is to do a minimum of 200 exercise minutes a week-----starting-------this week. that will make 1200 minutes by july 4.

may 30--30 min on treadmill
may 31--20 min on treadmill
10 min on bike
june 1--30 min on bike
30 min archery (lots of walking)
june 4--30 min on bike
june 5--30 min on bike
june 6--30 min on bike
june 7--20 min on bike
june 9--120 min walkingi shot archery for 6 hours. i'm going to give myself credit for 2 hours exercise since part of the time i was waiting on other archers to shoot.
june 11-15 min on bike
june 12--60 min water aerobics
june 13--20 min on bike
june 14--30 min on bike (i also did some weeding and pruning but won't count it.)
june 15--30 min on bike
june 16--60 min water aerobics
june 17--30 min on bike
june 19--60 min waterfit class
20 min weight training/stretching
june 20--5 min on bike (day before colonoscopy. i did vacuum and dust for 2 hours but am not counting it)
june 22--60 min aquafit. (i finally got the name right but am too lazy to change it elsewhere.)
june 23--30 min gardening.
june 25--30 min gardening
june 26--240 min gardening
june 26--60 min water aerobics
june 27--60 min water aerobics
june 29--20 min hiking at the archery range.
july 1--60 min water aerobics

Ok, I am going to lose 10lbs by July 4th and finish my exercise ticker goal, 200 Minutes left.

OK, my July 4th goal is to be below 200. I haven't been there in a long time but I am not that far away so I will try.

My fourth of July goal is to lose 5 pounds and to stay focused and on track. I am also commiting to making it to the gym 3 times a week! :dancer:

My goal is to be down to 225 by the 4th of July. I am 8 pounds away from that goal. Definitely doable!

my goal is to reach 145, and to start going to the gym every night after work (I get a free membership for working at the Ymca , why not use it ?!? lol)

Actually, after I posted my goal, I realized that this was a core board. I have been doing flex, I hope that's ok. I am trying to learn more about core before I make the switch, right now I am happy with flex and it's working for me. I do tend to eat a lot of the core foods even though I'm on flex and I'm real nice too. ;) :D

Weigh in this morning showed a maintain......but on the up side ive done the WATP dvd two mornings in a row!!

Patti, congrats on that exercise!

I haven't moved my ticker but I have been doing ab exercises (crunches, etc.) the past couple of days. Plus all the painting today! But my intention was to only count purposeful cardio-type exercise! So I'm still aiming high. ;)

looks like everyone's doing great. i took today off. i did bowl for 1.5 hours but i'm not counting that as any exercise. tonight curtis and i are exhausted and are recovering from the past 2 days' events. tomorrow i'll get back on the bike.

Well...I stayed the same this week, but I know it's because I wasn't real good with tracking everything I ate, at least I didn't have a gain. This is the first day of a new week for me, so it's a fresh start!

Well, it looks like I'm not going to make my 4th of July goal of 225, I don't weigh in until Wednesday but I seriously doubt I lost 8 pounds in one week :^: Although that would be AWESOME!!! :carrot: It's very unlikely! :)

I didn't have a very good week, I not only ate all of my 35 weekly allowance points, I exceeded them, so I'm just praying that I didn't do too much damage. The good thing is that I've learned my lesson, I will never use so many WAP's so early in my week, that totally messes me up! I have also learned that a whole bag of twizzlers is like 10 points :o and they made me feel like a bloated cow! :barf: I would've been better off with the unbuttered popcorn (DH and I went to the movies, so it was mindless eating of the twizzlers)

Thats ok Sarah,,,just dont give up...keep working on that goal!! Time dosnt matter.

-3 this week...and I think 5 days of WATP dvd + 1 mile hike and I only missed one day of my water goal.

Well, I weighed in on Wednesday, I didn't do as badly as I thought. I am up .4 this week.

I have a new determination though, I am not letting it get me down and out, it's actually making me work harder for it.

P.A. you're so right, time doesn't really matter, I have to keep reminding myself of that. Sometimes I get so caught up in how long this is taking or is going to take that I lose sight of the experiences that I'm having and the lessons that I'm learning. :)

Well I came up waaaay short on my exercise goal. But that's okay. I'm going to make a July exercise ticker. I like tracking that, it is very motivating to me.
I think I might also change my weight loss ticker to ten pounds...that is my main goal right now, because if I lose 10 pounds I think I'll be able to fit into most of my old (well, they're new really!) summer clothes.

Good plan Melissa! Sarah,,its going to take me a long time to get all my weight im in no rush! Ive fallen off alot of times too but keep getting back on.

congratulations to everyone for doiing so well. this is the first time i've met one of my goals here. i have done 20 extra minutes so far and will go to water aerobics monday and earn another 60.

i hope all of you reach your goals. i can't tell you how happy i am right now. finally--i have been successful. life is good.

Yeah, my goals were unrealistic, especially considering the way I've behaved! :o I think my July exercise goal is reasonable and I believe I will accomplish it!! :yes:

i think you're right, melissa. you and i seem to self destruct with the weightloss goals. maybe if we concentrate on the exercise and just "do our thang", the weight will keep coming off.

good success to you on the july exercise goal. i need to go change my tracker to set mine for july. i'm going to set it for 200 per week. i'll get 180 per week doing water aerobics and can do 20 min other stuff each week. now if i miss a wa class, i'm going to have to hustle, aren't i?
