Hi guys,

I had my post op appt. today. Once the doc got over himself and the fact that I went to Mexico to have my surgery, it started to go smoothly. He wants me on mushy food for another four weeks. My mexico doc had me on regular food on week four... but since I switched to the doctor in Houston, I'll follow his plan. Mushy it is. I'll also be meeting with a nutritionist for the first 6 months post op, every time I go in to see him - which is monthly. My next appt is late June and he'll give me a fill then of approximately 1.6cc in my 4cc band. I was good with that. So, my weight is creeping back to where it was, fluctuating alot but I'm not all that stressed about it since this is the "healing phase"... I don't want to gain over my band-date weight (say that three times fast) but if I loose 2 pounds this next month, then it will be 2 I didn't gain! I'm not going to go by my scale at home anymore - the doctor's scale is all that matters anyway when it comes to determining my weight loss and whether I'm in need of a fill.

Anywho, I'm off for the weekend to Austin to see friends and lounge! Ya'll have a nice weekend.

oh angela! what a great attitude! the nutritionist is a good touch - they can be our best friends [no matter how much we DON'T always like hearing what they have to say!]

hope you had a great time in austin. i'm sitting here in virginia, having a weekend with my sister.

Hey Angela, yes, your 100000% correct in following his orders, after all he is gonna be taking care of you. 1.6cc for a first fill sounds like alot but then I didn't feel mine until I had 1.5cc and that was on my 2nd fill.

I know you know this b/c you said it but at this stage in the game you want to concentrate on nutrition and healing inside rather than weight loss...that will come with the fills.

I'm glad you got a good doc.... congrats !!!!
