I have been eating a lot of bison lately, but I haven't had any since I have started WW. I don't know how many points bison is. Is there anyone out there that may know? Thanks for any help.

Kelly_S 08-17-2001, 05:02 PM That's just another name for Buffalo so check out this website: http://www.arrowheadsteaks.com/whybuffalo.html sweet tooth 08-17-2001, 05:52 PM Thanks for the lead to the web site. It looks like there is a great savings in points to be eating bison rather than beef. I knew that it was more lean than beef, but had no idea how much. I love the cooked texture of bison and its tenderness over beef and several of our neighbours raise bison. For us, the cost is below what we can purchase beef for. We have been eating a lot of it, and not knowing the point value of it, I have been counting it the same as beef. Woohoo! Now I have more points to play with everyday. HippyChick 08-19-2001, 03:47 PM ...to 3FC, Peggy! I lived in Edmonton most of life before moving here to Virginia in '96. I haven't tried buffalo yet, but there's a place not to far from me that supposedly serve the juciest beefalo burgers around. I'll have to talk hubby into navigating me there one day. I'll let you know how I like it! :D Isn't it always great to find out we're actually using less points than we thought...and for something that we like! Take care...come visit the Women Helping Women...WW forum. I usually post there every day. Peace  vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
