They are sugar bombs, as are most dried fruit. A serving is something like 12 raisins. Is that worth it? You really are better off eating the "wet" version of the fruit because it is so much more filling.
Just an interesting factoid - our pediatric dentist told us that oral health wise, they are equivalent to feeding your kids fruit roll-ups and fruit snacks - major no no's. Nothing but gooey sticky sugar that loves to adhere to crevices on the teeth. DH likes them in his oatmeal, but I'm trying to convert him too. We've pretty much pulled them from our house.
