I was in the store recently, looking for "lite" cherry pie filling (to make cherry angel food cake). I usually don't buy canned pie filling, so maybe this isn't a new product. But Lucky Leaf has a "no sugar added" cherry pie filling that has Splenda in it instead of sugar.

Info for 1/3 cup is: 35 calories, 0 fat, 1 gram fiber. So, 1/2 point. Or 1 point for 2/3 cup.

I think it tasted pretty good right out of the can! It would be good on waffles, frozen yogurt, etc. I'm anxious to see how it "works" in the angel food cake recipe.

I finally made the cake last night - it was delicious. I cut it into 15 pieces (9x13 pan) for 2.5 points each. Pretty pink color too! :)

If you can find Lucky Leaf (which is made locally here in PA), try it. I think you will be pleased.

I have added "my 2 cents" to the pineapple cake thread. Under WW Desserts, or the link is below.

All versions of this cake are great! And a big hit at picnics.
