Okay, this is freaky....where is everyone this morning :dizzy:?? Hopefully all our chicks in the stormy regions made it through okay. Today's our last day of nice weather before the storms & cold set in tonight for the next few days. We had the SBD cola chicken last night - it was so good! Had it with green beans and the sauce went really nicely with those also....DH was grossed out when he heard what went into it, but he ended up eating it anyway - and then asked for more! LOL

I have a ton of stuff to get ready for meetings this afternoon so hopefully I'll be able to pop back on later.

Hope everyone has a good OP day

GET UP!!!! REVEILLE!!! :drill: RISE & SHINE!!!!! :tired: WHAT EVER IT TAKES GET UP.....

I can't believe no one has started the daily yet and it's 8:30.

Good Morning Chickies... I am hoping the rest of my windows get fixed today. Other than that not much new on my towel. Haven't been good this week, so have to turn the towel over and start again... eating right and the workouts. I have this nice loft now with all the exercise stuff and we added to it this weekend, my SIL's dad gave me a norditrack. So, now I have a treadmill, elliptical, norditrack, resistance bands bench. Need to get in gear and use all this stuff. Off to eat and take meds, and get dressed.

Hope everyone has a great day....

morning! I just woke up, when I looked at the clock I was seeing double, wanted to sleep more but hated the stupid dream I was having and needed to escape it. Woke upand bf was STILL AWAKE from last night! (at 9 am, argh) he's been up all night playing Dance Dance Revolution! At least it's good excersize! :)

I'm doing okay fighting off the urge to weigh myself....I WILL stay away from the scale until saturday. I will I will I will... argh!

05-10-2006, 10:50 AM
I wish I had your willpower Lottie...I weighed myself again this morning, even though weigh in day was yesterday...and is says I am up 1.5 lbs.....I don't understand...I think this is the reason that I fail.

05-10-2006, 11:06 AM
Good Morning Girls.

Boy Ruth always gets us a going, We are slacking... and Freaky did as well, I wonder if she will ever come back to us..

All is well here in Central West Virginia, Rain,,Rain RAIN,, the Cold rains of May are here....I need to go grocery shopping today then I have to drop my 10 page report on torture off at the school.. All OP here just chuggen along.

Do any of you watch American Idol.. Last night was awesome!

05-10-2006, 11:09 AM
Good morning everyone!

Kelly, My husband had the same reaction to cola chicken...then loved it! Yup, last day of sun for us New Yorker's. Rain's acomin and for quite a few days if you can believe the weather forecaster.

kyemom: I weigh myself everytime I walk past the scale. Husband says he's going to hide it!!

I'm suppose to start phase 2 today. Little bit nervous. I ate some popcorn last night...bad, bad. It's is my most favorite snack and the minister was here with her children. They left the bowl in my reach. I noticed wonderful husband had dumped it and washed bowl this AM before he went to work.

think I will start phase 2 by adding a fruit at dinner. Maybe canteloupe. I think pineapple may be too sugary.

05-10-2006, 11:13 AM
kyemom: I figure I would rather see one big loss at the end of the week than a bunch of tiny losses and gains as your weight fluctuates during the week....! Hide the scale maybe? I used to do that when I had less willpower ;) Bf would hide it from me!

05-10-2006, 12:23 PM
DH weighs himself daily, so I am sure he would protest about the scale being missing. He already gets mad enough when we can not have what he wants for dinner or go to somewhere really bad for dinner because it is not OP. He does not understand...he has no fat on his body and eats anything and everything in not fair!!

05-10-2006, 12:35 PM
smokepole - Pineapple isn't allowed even in phase 2 since it is so naturally sweet. Even when they started allowing bananas, they didn't allow pineapple.

I had a run-in with some cookies last night. It was the last den meeting of the school year and I just snacked on the wrong things. I barely had time to get dinner made. Tonight I have to turn in the forms for camp. I still am waiting on a few forms. Why is it so hard for people to understand that we need them all by a certain date if you want to be in the same group with the rest of the pack. Oh, well, I am turning in 35 forms tonight even if I don't have all the rest.

The storms came closer to Kiko than me last night. So far they know of at least 3 dead from the tornados. We don't get them often but about every 6 years they come to the area.

05-10-2006, 12:41 PM
kyemom: that sucks! boo! bf is on a diet with me, he's lost 35 lbs! It's taken him FOREVER though because he only eats one meal a day, he says he just doens't 'have time to eat' (he's a cook! he eats at work and not at home at ALL) but then we go to the chinese buffet and he eats 4 plates full! *L* He only weighs at night and only every few weeks so that's not a problem. He's down to 205. I'm so proud! But envious! Brat!

05-10-2006, 01:30 PM
Morning...well i guess techinically afternoon... ladies

Kyemom, sorry about being AWOL. I worked the past 7days in a row, and the last 3 were the awful 7am starts. *sigh* I'm sorry to hear about you minor discouragement. But you can do it. You said before you had been doing well. I bet it was just a fluke. I know depending on when i weigh myself I will see significant differences in my weight. So I try to do it within 3hours of being up before I eat. Don't let it get you down. :)

MsCrockett - Idol was wacky last night. I really liked Catharine's All Shook up & whatever song it was, medley last night. And of course Chris needs to come sing to me. He's so cute.

Anyways. I finally have a day off. Much needed, I must say. I was afraid that my carb additions were deterring my loss, but the scale dropped 3lbs. I figure its due to the TOM water fluctuations and that's why it seemed like nothing was changing. People at work have said how proud they are of me and commented on how healthy I'm eating. Not to mention they have noticed how energetic I've been. Naturally, that kind of feedback is really helpful. Outside of diet-land, I'm getting frustrated looking for a job in my career field. I've applied to a bunch of places and no one has called me back. I'm really starting to freak out about getting a position soon. I'm so ready to get into the real world and be able to afford the things I've been wanting for so long. Anyways, today and tomorrow will be spent in the kitchen cooking so I can freeze some meals and not worry about making stuff before I work.

Hope everyone is well and having a great Wednesday!

Good Afternoon Ladies:)

Didn't have time :no:to post this morning, but I had to tell my :blah: story.

Didn't do too good over dinner last night. I ATE 4 portions of Manicotti.PORTION CONTROL POLICE :drill: where are you??????????

Well!! I'm going back to what I learned at WW. Measuring and Weighing my food :hungry:for the next few weeks should do the trick. I decided that a small plate is in order for single serving size. MUST CONTROL:tape: MY PORTIONS.Taking my old WW books back out and do some reading.

Leo's neck & chest is not as crimsome red anymore, now that hes puting luke warm compresses on it.He has ointments to use also. Gee!! when they told us that the last week of radiation was going to be bad. They weren't:no: kidding around.

Planning to take our 40th Anniversary Cruise in Nov. Wish us luck:goodluck:,that Leo has the strenght to travel, and his doctor Oks it.
The cruise that we are taking is to Hawaii.Forty years ago my girlfriend & I were planning to go to Hawaii on our vacation in Nov,but meanwhile in May I met Leo and we hit it off,and decided to get Married in Nov.instead.Having no money we never made it there,so now he owes me [BIG TIME] a Hawiian trip from 40 years back.hehe
Hubby wants to go to Hawaii as much as I do,as hes a photogragher and wants to take some close-up photos of a live valcano [fire & lava and all],the tour promised us.So we took an outside veranda cabin so we can take pictures of this.

Now I need to get this gut of mine down before going on the cruise, don't want to gain 10 lb back like I did in 2004.HELP any Ideas, Thanks

Hugs :) BB

hi ladies-I've been so busy lately getting ready for hoards of family visitng and then my son's first tae kwon do tournament. Now his bday party is on Saturday and then I can breathe normally again.

I'm still hovering in the same range that I've been at a while but it usually takes me about a month and then I drop 3-4 lbs so hopefully that will happen again. I have def been looser though with the eating. I think it's b/c I haven't had time to shop with being so busy, and with company you never can stay on a schedule.

Today's been good so far if you don't count the fist full of m&m's(which I choose not to)

05-10-2006, 03:18 PM
Tropical Kitty ~ I LOVE Chris in a Vin Diesal sort of way,, I am pulling for him and Kathryn... I am concerned about Kathryn this week though I think her and Elliot will be the bottom two.. I hope Elliot is going home..

05-10-2006, 04:53 PM
MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I made that popcorn cauliflower today and it was soooo good! :) I highly suggest it.

Well, what have I been up to today...lets editor is trying to start an indie lit agency and I made her a myspace that was fun. It's loverly and has a fabulous layout (like a books pages being flipped through) and Imade her a little logo just to fill in the picture spot..... hope she likes it! :)

other than that, today is a lazy day.....

05-10-2006, 05:28 PM
okay Lottie. I made the cauliflower popcorn and I must have done something wrong. It didn't get crispy and it was greasy. What did I do???

05-10-2006, 05:30 PM
With mine, the florets on the outside were crispy and it was tender on the inside (but not mushy!) Also, I just sprayed the outside of it with some pam olive oil and sprinkled with salt... Did you cook it long enough? I cooked half a head for about 90 mins (I wanted it really brown, the browner it is the sweeter/crispier it is) I know the recipe calls for one whole head cooked for 60 mins but that just didn't seem like enough time..... maybe cook it longer?

05-10-2006, 05:38 PM
MsCrockett- It's really tough to decide who will be booted tonight. Elliot has an interesting style; I really like his soulful sound, esp with ballads. I'm kinda hoping that Taylor will go. He's good, but he'd a lil too goofy and such. I'm eager to find out tho!

05-10-2006, 06:43 PM
Good suggestions Lottie. I really didn't like all that Olive oil. And I did a whole head for 1 hour. I'll try again cause everyone says its really good.

Thanks :)

05-10-2006, 06:58 PM
yeah you just need to spritz it with pam so that the salt has something to stick to. It doesn't need to be soaked ...

Hi Gals,
Would you believe this is the first chance I've had all day to check in? Tomorrow's going to be a real busy day, too, and I'm so tired right now that I could go to bed, and it's only 6:30! On top of everything else, I woke up with a terrible stiff neck, and it's plagued me all day. I tried to do Curves before I went to work, but could only make it around the circuit once. Extra Strength Tylenol only took the edge off. And the girls were both grumpy and clingy today, too. We had a playdate come over this afternoon, and all they did was fight and complain. I could really use a couple of gin & tonics right now, but I'll be good and settle for a cup of Tension Tamer hot tea.
I'll try to get here early tomorrow morning and hopefully I'll be in a better frame of mind.

05-10-2006, 08:04 PM
Today I have tried 3 new things:

popcorn cauliflower-a ++
Green beans in dijon/balsamic sauce A+
nf plain yogurt with a dash of grapefruit crystal light=A++

I normally get so bored with I go off of them, but all the recipes here are delicious and they are helping so much! No way could I just sit around and eat plain nf yogurt *BLECH* This is the best diet I have EVER been on....hands down!

05-10-2006, 10:54 PM
