Default Suggestions please...

Hey everyone..I was looking for a good workout tape to get me started on my weight loss. I have been reading and it looks like the leslie walk at home tapes may be for me. I saw her DVD for the 1,2 and 3 mile and its looked to be a good deal. I am just nervous because I have trouble getting physical activity because of my size. I weigh 330. I feel winded just walking down the street! Also I have a bad tendency to get discouraged quickly when I don't feel like something is working...have any of you lost weight from doing these tapes? Does it really get easier to do? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I highly recommend the WATP tapes. I have done these for the last 13 weeks. This combined with calorie counting, I have lost 20 pounds already.
These tapes are nice because you can work your way up. I started with the 1 mile, could only do a little over half so I kept trying until I could do the whole tape. Once I could complete the 1 mile then I started using the weights. Now I am doing the 2 mile high calorie burn with weights twice a day.
So by all means take your time. I do think that they are a good start.

Best of luck to you on your weight loss challenge.

I think it will work for you, just make sure you give them a fair shot. Do what you can and try and add a tiny bit more each time, you will get there!

I think they would be great for you! Start slowly, get comfortable with them and remember, you can make your moves as small or large as you are comfortable with. I started out using them too when I weighed in at 272 and they worked great for me. Also remember, even if you buy a 3 mile one, you can always stop when you need to, fast forward to the cool down and take a break until the next day. You'll probably be surprised how quickly you'll start getting further and further into the workout!

Good luck!

Thank you all so much for your input! I think these will for sure work for me. Part of the reason I really never lose weight is I feel like nothing changes and I give up. This time I have to give it a fair go. Thanks again!

I have been doing Leslie Sansone's tapes before she started calling them Wall Away the Pounds. I started with her tapes from the 1st. (I've actually got her first Walk Aerobics tape) and I've got her only Step Aerobics tape. She only did one but it's fun. Has anyone tried her Walk Blaster? I love that series. Gin Miller has ramping workouts that you can use with the walk blaster, too.

Leslie Sansone has wonderful workouts!

I think you made the right decision with WATP! I have the DVD that you are talking about...it's the first one I bought. I started with the 1 mile, and it REALLY does get MUCH easier. I am now able to do the 3 mile without falling over dead, LOL!
