I kind of dropped out of the game, haven't been keeping track of points. My husband and I received some bad news, that has thrown us into a bit of a tailspin. He has been off work since February with a shoulder injury, and it's been healing, but slowly. He has been having some leg numbness and backpain so the doctor ordered an MRI. It looks like it is unlikely that he will be able to return to his former employer. We will have to pay half of the insurance premiums until January, and then we'll have to pay Cobra premiums to have medical insurance after that, if he isn't able to work in some capacity by then.

He is really depressed. When he isn't grumpy, he's closed up inside of himself. I don't know what we're going to do.

I haven't kept up with this thread too much, but keeping up with my points nonetheless... you folks post too much for me to catch up! :p

Kap, I am so sorry to hear of your rough news. There isn't much anyone can say that is very consoling at this point I'm sure, but I will be praying for you and your husband and wish you the best through this hard time.

Rosa, I love Wally World! Where else can you spend 20 bucks and get a new shirt, pants and shoes! Hehe. Anyway keep up the good work, you can do it!

Wendy, we will miss you but understand the needed break, sorry to hear about your dog, it's always hard to lose a part of your family, even if it's a pet.

Courtnie, Congrats on your 20lbs!!! Keep up the good work!

Brandy-the batting cage sounds like so much fun. I would love to try that!
Well, today was long and I am sore. Must be from painting. Today I went to the cemetary with my grandma to plant flowers on family graves. They looked so good when we were done. Then, we went back to her house and I planted flowers for her there.
Did anyone watch Idol? I love Taylor and am glad he won! I'd rather had Elliott win, but Taylor was my second pick! It was a crazy show!
I also learned a new song on guitar tonight. (I Can Only Imagine-Mercy Me) Other than that, I've been watching my kitties go crazy over their play mice!!! They're to funny!
Night ladies, ttyl!

Well, I finally did it. I woke up at 6am and got my 40 minute workout in. Slim in 6 too. Phew, I was sweating like a pig. It was an awesome workout, though and I feel great. I can feel that today is gonna be a great day.

I also want to say Thank you gals for all your support. I know I couldn't have done it without you!!!!

Brandy-how was your game last night? I really need to find some batting cages in my area. I love the batting cages.

lady unicorn-lucky you on the pool. i'd love to get one but i don't think management would appreciate it in the apt too much. lol it's awesome that you can get swimming in.

Wendy- i am so sorry that you are going through these tough times. i hope you come by if you need someone to chat with. i hope you consider us not only as diet buddies, but as you friends too. come back to us soon. we'll be here waiting for you.

courtnie-u were right about those morning workouts. it is so worth it to wake up an hour earlier. i see by your fitday, that you eat Kashi. I just tried the Crunch this morning and love it. I'm thinking of buying their kits (cereal, shakes, bars) Have you tried any of their other products?

angela- i started to watch AI but since i had not seen any episodes of this season i had to change the channel. oh well, i'll be sure to try and watch next season. Do u like "So you think you can dance"? It starts today and I will definitely be recording it!!

jelynn-any excercise is good. awesome job on your good eating day. here's to more good eating days to come!!!!

Have a great Thursday gals. Come on!!!! It's almost Friday!!!!!!!!!!

Howdy Ladies!

Hope you're all having wonderful days.

We won our ball game last night. We actually played really well and mercied the other team (won by so much the game was over in the 6th inning). A closer game would be more fun, but we practiced good sportsmanship and really worked as a team.

Spinning class was great this morning. I got really ticked off cuz we were supposed to have a fit/body fat test before class and we all showed except the girl who was to do it and had signed us all up. I jumped on the bike 30 minutes before class started and did my own pre-class class. I was sweating my butt off way before we officially started.

Wendy-take care and hurry back.

Rosario-Glad you tried out the am workout. I absolutely HAVE to workout in the mornings or I drag all day. My body really misses it and feels sluggish if I skip. I hope this is the turning point you've been searching for.

Angela-I love the song you just learned!

la3y-Hope the pool gets set up soon. I'm not sure when we'll open ours. I doubt it'll happen this weekend though.

kaplods-sorry for the rough times. My hubby was unemployed a bit this past fall and it is so stressfull. I sure hope something better comes along and it all works out.

Well, what are the big plans for the holiday weekend? We're pulling out the kayaks for the first time this year. I am REALLY excited. I love taking them out. We're going in the lagoons at the state park and there are terrific birds and turtles to watch. We're having a picnic, and taking turns going out-neither of my parents have ever tried kayaking, so we're gonna make sure they get some time in. We're also going to a Renaissance festival. Should make for a terrific weekend.

Talk to ya soon.

Wow I am sooo jealous of those of you who can actually get up early and excercise! I have tried and I just can't seem to get THAT motivated LOL. As it is I get up at 6:30 and barely make it out the door in time for my son's bus. ;) I guess I would need to go to bed earlier or something but then I'd miss my good shows lol :P I am in serious need of some motivation myself though. I have eaten crappy kinda since Sunday.. I ate FOUR gourmet cookies on Sunday and felt sick lol.. then today I had THREE latte's but at least they were nonfat.. and had a slice of cake from :devil:Starbucks:devil: and went over my calories by nearly 600 at least.. :(

Oh well TOM is here and so I think it's just all around Blehhh! Looks like that might be a trend around here... hey..... Do you think that since women who hang out IRL tend to get TOM at the same times.. that all of us would eventually all have TOM at the same time!!??!!?? Rofl. That is quite a funny thought.. mass pms..

Hi everyone! Thought I'd pop in and say hi! Went to meet the new lawyer today and found out that the ex didn't even sign the divorce petition that was served to him in March 2005!! This could all be over with sooner that I thought, he is SO in default over that AND they gave him 20 days to obtain a new lawyer and he hasn't done that either!! Default AGAIN! YEP, still a loser!:D
Haven't checked the other thread yet, how are you all doing with points??? You can do it girls! Don't give up!!!!!!
I'm not doing this game, but I'm not exactly given up either!
Hope all is well, take care!

Happy Friday!!

I ran for 17 minutes straight this morning. I can't remember the last time I did that.:D I thought I was going to die toward the end, but I made it and actually recovered a lot faster than I imagined. I promised to go to an upper body strength class this afternoon so that'll work the other half of my body.

I have a list of errands that need to be done today. It looks like we'll start opening our pool this weekend, at least chemicals will be dumped, and the pump hooked up. I'm a bit suprised he's doing it, but by the time everything is clean and ready I'll be glad we started when he wanted.

Wendy-I'm glad you got such good news about the "loser". Hopefully it'll all be done and over soon.

Brendalee-Love Starbucks-Sugar free flavoring and skim milk make me feel like I'm not cheating to have these when I want. Their desserts always look so yummy. I try not to indulge, but every once in awhile they just look to good.

Rosario-Dare I ask if you woke early and did SI6? I hope so, but if you didn't, you'll get it in later.

I hope you all have a lovely day.

Finally it's friday!!! Woo hoo!! 3 day weekend baby!!!

Sad to say I didn't get up early this morning to work out :(. We bought a PSP last night and my bf kept me awake showing me all the cool tricks. <sigh> boys and their toys. But today I will definitely get my SI6 in. I feel too good when I finish it, so I want to be feeling good all weekend. Maybe I will actually get some walking/jogging in too! We'll see how it goes.

Brandy-that's awesome on your running. I can barely last 5 minutes on the treadmill. Once I went for 10 minutes and I thought I was going to die. Keep it up and soon you'll be running 60 minutes straight ;)

Wendy-i really hope the mess with your ex is over soon. what a bunch of unwanted stress. but stay strong and as soon as you know it, it'll all be gone.

brenda-I am a big sucker for starbucks desserts too. sad thing is, they don't even taste that great and taste kind of old. You should try getting up early one day. you might surprise yourself.

Lady unicorn-how's the pool coming along?

have a great day ladies!!!

Hey everybody!! Quiet around here. hmm.... hope all is well with everyone.

Well, it's gonna be a tough weekend. Tonite is the movies, sunday is a bbq, and monday is the zoo. I hope i can control myself this weekend. At least it looks like i will at least getting excercise in. Today I'm thinking tennis. I'm not sure if I want to continue SI6. I think I'll focus on cardio and do some free strentgh things. That looks like I can stick to that better than the dvd's. MAybe a change is what I need.

Hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and fun weekend!!!

Catchup with ya on Tuesday!!!

Well, today was my first REAL day of work. Yesterday they just had me watching training videos on the computer all day.

My question is... would it be possible to count like 2 hours of my workday as exercise? I tell you, I had about 3 1/2 hours today where I was moving non-stop. I was working HARD too! I was put on the grill, making the sausage, eggs, and bacon at breakfast, and the grilled chicken and burgers at lunch. Lots of moving back and forth between the UHC (universal holding cabinet; food warmer, basically), grill, and garbage can (UHC trays have paper lining that has to be replaced with every new batch of food). We're talking a span of about 10-15 feet. Plus having to scrape the grill down every 4 batches of food, plus the actual getting the food up, putting the food in the UHC, and lots and lots of cleaning. I'm just wondering if I can count some of this as actual exercise, but I really am working hard! But I don't know if it counts because it's my occupation?

This has been a busy place this week! I have been running around like a crazy person, so have not had a chance to even sit down at the computer all week, till now.

Wendy~so sorry to hear about your dog, I hope that you and Ryan are doing better. I hope that you will continue to check in on us.

Colleen~I am sorry to hear your hubby is having a difficult time. I hope that things are much better very soon.

Brandy~We have been doing alot of baseball playing too, it has been alot of fun. I have not done it since I was a kid and was not even sure of whether or not I would be able to hit the ball, but I did~thank goodness! I can just imagine the ribbing I would have to take from my family if I didn't hit it! Also, glad to hear you are able to do the running again, I know how apprehensive you were about trying, so Congrats on healing up!

Well, I hope that you all have a very nice holiday weekend and will chat again soon.

Hehe I may just try to fit some morning workouts in next week.

Lydia, I use Fitday to track my activities, and while it's not "that" accurate, I sure do add my work into it if I work extra hard or do a lot of running around (literally).. that's extra burned calories for sure.

Good morning chickies!!!

Hope you all had a fun filled weekend! Mine was busy and great. Its hotter than heck here and its cutting into my workouts today. There's no way I'm doing another one. I ended up moving the window AC from the garage to the house and installing it myself this morning cuz DH didn't see the need since he'll be in his AC office all day. Oh well, all done now, and cooling off.

I have class this afternoon, and need to get some jewelry done for an order. Other than that, I'll just try to stay cool. The pool is open so if I get everything done I can cool off in there.

Have a great one!

Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I worked 10 hours Saturday and 6 on Sunday, so being off Monday was a major relief for me. We grilled out Sunday night and Monday night...thankfully I managed to stick to turkey burgers and turkey dogs. They're not the best for me, but they're definitely better for me than a regular burger or hot dog. I gotta work at 1...and we have a huge shipment coming in. Other than that I'm off in a little bit to do my Billy Blanks Boot Camp dvd. I'll check back in later tonight.

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. I sure did.

I'm going to be getting ready this week for my trip on Friday night. Woohoo! LA here I come. I so wanted to drop a couple of pounds before I left, but since I didn't work at all, no loss. :( It's ok, though. I'm going to work hard this week because I know for a fact, I will not be eating healthy this weekend. I'll be stuffing my face with all the LA food that I miss. Yum!!! I'll try to contain myself. lol

I am actually looking forward to coming back and putting all my energy to losing weight. No special events or anything coming up to throw me off. So I know I will be back in this game. I remember when I used to need a calculator to add up my points. Now, I can add 'em up on my hands!! But not no more!!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!! Talk to ya soon!

Hi everyone! Hope your Memorial weekend was nice. The weather was just beautiful here in Central NY, could not have asked for any better!

cherokeeangel~Good thing you went to work....we bbqed ALOT of Chicken this past weekend! Tee Hee!

Brandy~Way to go...taking AC matters into your own hands! Sometimes we just have to grab the bull by the horns! :) What kind of jewelry do you make?

la3y~Congrats on the pound down, and swimming, what a fun and cool way to get those pounds off!

Hypnotq~Which boot camp dvds do you do? I have one of the series of dvd's they put out and I really enjoy them although I have been turbo jamming alot lately. I will get back to taebo sometime too.

Rosario~Have a great time in LA, I know you will!! Then, come back and jump right back into things here, we'll be waiting! ;) baby chicks are doing well, I can honestly say that I cannot wait until they are big enough to move out to the coop. We have a dusting area for the chickens out there, so that keeps buggy things at bay, thank goodness, otherwise they would have to GO! The deal was, no chickens running loose in the yard (they have a penned area and a coop) and no bug problems, otherwise they have to go~so far so good.

I had a very nice weekend, lots of bbq's, playing ball with the family, gardening and relaxing....it was so nice to kick back a little, we do not get to do that nearly enough.

Will chat again soon!

Good mornig ladies!!

I didn't get my workout done last night but I didn't eat bad so I guess it evens itself out a little. Not really, but I'm just trying to make myself feel good. I wanted to play tennis but the bf was too tired. Besides, I had killer cramps last night and I just wanted to sleep. But I am feeling way better today so I really want to get some excercise in.

nik-don't sweat your bad weekend. now you have something to look frowad to and work for-your company picnic. you can do it!!

lady unicorn-that is so good your dad is trying to lose weight. you know what would be a geat motivator-you!! You have lost a lot of weight and I bet you feel great, dontcha? You can show him all the rewards you have gotten from losing weight. Good luck to him!!

Darcy-I'm glad the chicken thing is working out for you. I really hope you didn't get any roosters because they'll soon become a pain in the neck, waking you up in the morning.

Have a great day everyone!!

Hey!!!

No swimming last night but I did get a small walk in. BOY! is it hot here now high 90"s. My dad is feeling little better these days and I need to keep him thinking about what he is eating. I know how hard it is but he has a harder time with all the other health problems he has. But I will keep him going as much as I can I hope me asking about how much he has lost (to put on the tracker) will keep him in the mood to lose.....

I hope you all are haveing a good day I did not think I had to much to do today but that is slowly changing....lol

Well I am off again

Howdy gals-better alte than never!

Got a walk in this morning in the high humidity and then went thru a spin class where the gym seemed just as sticky! I'm supposed to play ball tonight, but we have storms in the forecast so we'll see what happens.

I'm proud to say I exceeded both my May goals in minutes and miles! I'm very happy with that. I need to sit down and figure out what to do for June later today.

la3y-Congrats on the pound!!! It's awesome that you're helping your dad out with his weightloss. I wish I could spark some interest in my parents. Good job on the walk.

Rosario-great job sticking to healthy eating!! Glad your cramps have diminished. Hope you get some activity in today.

Darcy-I make all kinds of jewelry. I do alot of glass work using dichroic glass, I also do beadweaving, and wireworking. Those are mainly what I sell-I do polymer clay for my own enjoyment. I'll dabble in just about anything.

Niki-dont let the weekend get to you. Its a brand new day/week and you'll be back to a normal routine which you excell at. Keep it up!!!

Well, I'm off to clean up and get some work done. Have a terrific day!

It's never in the 90's this early in the year. I have so much housework tomorrow it's not funny. Friday I'm having a scrapbook party so I'm excited. Morning ladies-Have a bright and cheerful day!

I did an hour of Turbo to start my morning right. I have to babysit this morning, and my walking partner had a root canal yesterday so I was on my own and needed to get done early. I'm hoping for a bike ride this evening if the weather cooperates.

My June goals are as follows:
3200 minutes of exercise
75 miles walked or ran

The goals are just about the same as last month, but I will be on a youth group trip as a counselor mid month that'll be hard to calculate miles although I'll get plenty of exercise in (rock climbing 1 day and white water rafting 1 day!) I even have a few of the girls talked into running with me on the trip.

Cherokeeangel-congrats on your loss!!! You are doing so incredibly well. You must be so proud!!!

Angela-glad to see you back. The heat has been the same here. The humidity is killing me. It looks like it'll be better tomorrow.

I'm off to check a few other posts and then go play with the neice and nephew for a bit. Have a great one.

Hello All

LA3y- Congrats for 199 I was so excitited when I hit 199 you go girl

Brandy- Congrats on making your goal.

Rosario - Have Fun. And be ready to get back into it when you return

Well eating has been ok this week trying to get over the holiday weekend but getting better I just keep think about bathing suits...LOL
My honey bought me to pairs of nice capris yesterday on his own wow...LOL I was a little scared to try them on he got M in the Gauchos and a 14 in capris but the one that are under your knee really cute from old navy. I didn't even want to go there he is like try them I am like NOOOOO. But I grabed the Gauchos 1st because the are cotten material thinking more stretch in it...LOL It was perfect I was jumping up and down he said they look great and so does your butt then he said your not aloud to go out in them...LOL Then the 14 I so was like just return them he was like no so I put them on ready to suck in my tummy and tada I didn't have to perfect fit...LOL
He was like yup your butt looks great in those to. as you can see my man is a butt guy. I was like so how many girls you see wearing these that you had to buy them. He just laughed MEN! I have on 16 and this morning I notice maybe I should start getting rid of my 16 so I don't go back. SO I gave a whole pile of clothes to my honeys sister. Which I am glad to not fit into them but I had to keep some because I don't want to buy new clothes yet. And I finally bought a belt I never wore a belt :D so thats a big deal for me.
But now I have hardly no clothes left I had to give up most of my capris and shorts from last year. Don't get me wrong I love it but it's hard when you don't want to buy clothes because you know they are going to get to big and you just wasted money. My girlfreind just went through alout of her clothes and she is getting rid of all her capris and shorts size 14 I was like send it this way...LOL I so need them. Nik-that's awesome!! I would never let my bf buy me my clothes. I'd be too scared he'd buy a small size and i'd look like a whale trying to fit into them. youre lucky though...i didn't think guys had good size perception.

lady unicorn-that is freakin awesome!!!! great job on making it to onederland. I hope to soon be following in your footsteps.

brandy-congrats on hitting your may goals. i hope the weather is on your side this afternoon so you can get your bike ride in.

cherokee-great job on your loss. this game is awesome, right?? i only wish i was more into it. i'm glad you are using it to your fulladvantage. keep it up.

angela-have fun at your scrapbook shindig!!

Well, I just can't wait. one more day and I'll be on my way to LA. woohoo!!!
I'm going to try to work out while I'm there too. There's this park next to my dad's house that I used to go running at, so I'm going to try to get a couple of jogs in for old time's sake. The food is another story. I will really try to not overdue it. And I think theres going to be a lot of alcohol involved. yikes!!! I will try my best.

Hope everyone's day is going good so far. Catch up with ya'll later.

Hi everyone!

Rosario~Have fun in LA, and remember, the important thing is to enjoy yourself while you are there! BTW, we do have 1 rooster right now, he wakes us up at 5:30am, which is good for working out. If there are any in this batch, we will probably give them away, that is what we did before when we had more than 1. One rooster is enough or they get mean.

Nikki~Congratulations on moving down to the next size! What a great feeling that can be!

la3y~Congratulations on making it to One-derland! That is Fantastic, keep it up!

Brandy~Congratulations on exceeding your goals, WOW! You set some high goals, so that is really saying something when you meet and exceed them!

Angela~Have fun Scrapbooking! I love to scrapbook, don't get to do it nearly as often as I'd like to though. What company rep is doing your party?

Well, not much to report today. Sticking with the workouts, but my eating needs to improve, so I will be working on that old self control.

Chat with you all again soon.

First off, I want to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! to la3y on reaching onederland!

Second, I apologize for sort of disappearing this week. I worked monday through thursday this week... I've never worked that many days in a row before! It looks like they're going to be having me working full-time or close to it, which is great since I really need the money. But it's been rough, trying to adjust to the new surroundings and constantly being on the go.

I'm proud to announce that I have now reached the HALFWAY POINT in my weight loss! I couldn't believe it the first day I stepped on the scale and it registered 154.7. But lo and behold! the next day it said the same thing. That makes it a bit more believable, methinks. I'm so incredibly excited about it. I've never lost so much weight or felt so good before!

And last, but certainly not least, I have found my goal dress. (http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=Dresses&product%5Fid=2029200579&Page=4) I'm going to buy it with my first paycheck, which I'll recieve on Tuesday. I found it when I was browsing Forever21.com last saturday and I absolutely fell in LOVE with it. I can't wait to get it, it's so gorgeous!

I hope you all are doing well. I have the weekend (and today) off, so I'll be back to check in :)

May be if he knows all of you are behind him too he will want to try harder. He sounds so much better and stronger now that he has lost some of his weight I really want him to keep it up.

Well I am off to work again. We(the company I work for) are haveing a big party its the company 50 year anv. I think they have something planed for every day of June. Stuff like jump rope contest, bubble gum blowing, Shoting Hoops, All kind of stuff.

Morning gals-

I missed you yesterday. The morning got away from me, and then I had a busy afternoon/evening. We went and saw RV at the movies last night. It was pretty funny. I'm going to see "Wicked" in Detroit today!!!!! This is my Christmas gift. I am SO excited I can barely control myself.

Well, exercise wise---Yesterday I ran for only 13 minutes, but I went 1.4 miles in that time. That works out to about 9 min. 25 sec. miles!!! I didn't think I could go that fast. I also finished the 4 mile route with walking, and then walked about a mile with hubby at his lunch hour (we had a picnic) and then took the dogs for another mile in the afternoon. I did an hour of TurboKick too! Today, we walked 4 miles this morning, and we are participating in Relay for Life this evening (I'll let you know about how far we walked tomorrow)

la3y-Sounds like you work for a pretty decent company. That so unusual these days!! Hope your dad likes what he sees!!!

Lydia-:bravo: on the half way point!!! Wow, work sounds like it'll really have you busy this summer. Those pounds will be falling off quicker than ever!! BTW-LOVE that dress! You'll have to post a pic when you wear it!!!

Cherokeeangel-I don't know about being an inspiration :o but I find a huge amount of support from all of you. It really keeps me going.

Angela-busy, busy, busy-Want to come clean my house? It is in desperate need of a good going over.

Brendalee-good luck with quitting. Hope you hang in there.

Darcy-I'm with you on the eating needs to improve-I just love ice cream in the summer.

Rosario-Have a blast

Nikki-Congrats on the smaller sizes!!!! You've worked hard so enjoy!

Hey all!
I had a really nice weekend. I hope all of you did too. I have to work 4-10 this week to have off Friday. I start my camping trip this Friday. I said that I wanted to be at 195 for the camping trip and I made it! I had hubby look at the scales this Sunday and he said that I was at 195!!! I am very happy with myself.

We put another 192 miles on the bike this weekend too. It was alot of fun. After the ride we sat around and watched the kids swim.....Ladies Please if you go to someone's else pool keep a eye on your kids. I had to help with saveing a childs life. He was going to jump off the deep end right on top of another child when he tryed to stop he slip over the edge. He had on one of the small toy rings. It keep him upside down in the water untill he kick his way out....Me and the childs uncle ran for the pool. Kevin(who is only 15) jump in and I went around the side to lift the child out of the water. We had the child out of the pool in only a few mins. But I was still shaking a hour after it all happen.

The Mother of the other kid that was in the pool just sat there and thought the hold thing was funny...I felt like smacking her in the head. I could not look at her after that I was ready to go home.

Please keep a eye on your kids you never know when it may happen to you!

Good morning ladies. I'm sad to say I didn't get to go to LA. THe weather was really bad here in Atlanta on Friday and I was too scared to get on the plane. I know, I know, I was being a big wimp but oh well, that's me. So I postponed the trip until Friday, June 16th. Thats my sis' b-day so at least I will be in town for that.

A new day so that means a fresh start. I really need to get some excercise in. I've been lazy for too long. I want to to try to at least get 60 minutes of excercise in a day. Good luck to me!!!

Lady Unicorn-don't mothers like that just drive you mad???!!! Watch your kid for goodness sakes lady!!!

Brenda-just stick with it. it's not going to be easy to give it all up, but slowly you will kick that dirty habit to the curb. Good luck!!

Lydia-very cute dress!!!

Well, nothing new around here. Gotta run to WalMart today to get cat food and treats but thats about it. I had a bad weekend eating. Pizza and wings, ice cream, cookies...the list goes on. I just haven't been feeling good lately so I eat and eat and eat. It comforts me even though I know it doesn't help. I need to get my butt in gear and get moving again. Well, ttyl!

Hi gals-Hope you are all starting your week of wonderfully.

Wicked was a terrific show. It's was very well put together with wonderful scenery/costumes/actors/etc. The music in the show is far from my favorite, but the show all around ranks right up there with my favorites.

I had a rough day yesterday. I learned that one of the older women at church who has really been a wonderful friend has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I really took the news hard. It is getting harder and harder to do my duties as organist at funerals that are for friends more than just acquaintances. I really had a terrible day and made myself sick with a migraine (that went away after a 2 hour nap) and now I have a horrendous sore throat.

Exercise-lots of walking, a 13 min. run this morning, and an hour of turbokick, plus and hour of heavy hoeing out in the garden. I'm trying to decide what I should do next. Part wants to go get some flowers for the front porch, but not sure if the money is there for that this week. I'll have to do some checking.

Rosario-so sorry your trip is delayed. It will be fun for you to be there on your sis's birthday! I'm sure you're dissapointed, but you still have it coming up to look forward to now.

La3y-Congrats on making your weightloss goal!!! That is wonderful. I hope you have a great time on your camping trip. What a scary scene at the pool. I cant believe how irresponsible some people can be. Its a good thing you were there or it could have been a much scarier situation.

Angela-I would definetly see Wicked if the opportunity arises. I was VERY impressed with it considering the CD and the book were just OK for me. I know what you mean about the food comforting you. I had lots of trouble yesterday when I was so emotional. We'll get back on track, we know how to do it and we've done it before.

sotypical-Wendy usually does all the starting of the new threads and since she hasn't been around I just added on to this game. (I dont know how she gets it stickied) I figure if someone knows how, well just switch over at that point. Until then, at least I have a place to keep track of myself.

Well, hope you ladies have a wonderful day.

I am ready to start another 10 hour day....NOT!.....lol. I have started to get things ready for camping and I have a list of thing to do every day for the rest of this week I can only hope that I dont forget anything.

My funny for the day: My hubby went fishing yesterday and came back with one of the smallest fish I have every seen it was a small brim. He gave it to Amanda ( my girl) She takes it home and puts it in the pool....I tell you what that little fish had a good time in the pool till the kids put him back in the small bottle...He did not make it long after that. She had to it out of the house last night....lol she was so funny. "But mama hes just resting" I told her he needed to rest outside. The last thing I need is to have the hole house smelling like dead fish.....

morning everyone!!

bad day yesterday. food binges and no excercise. but today is another day. i have my healthy snacks and my lunch so I should be good to go. although there is a cupcake in my desk drawer, but I'm trying to control myself and not eat it. excercise planned for tonite is tennis and resistance band, crunches, etc. My bf is making me lazy. when we get home he asks me "do you wnat to have a healthy day or lazy day?" healthy being playing tennis or lazy being watching a movie in bed with doritos and coke. the lazy day always wins. but I saw a picture of my friends on one of their webages and I thot to myself "I want to look cute and tiny like that" so here's to a new day and a fresh start.

lady unicorn-wow, your month sounds like it's gonna be fun.

brandy-i'm sorry to hear about your friend. it' always sad to hear something like that about someone you care about. you should take comfort in knowing that you are the one playing in memory of them and they wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Hey everyone.
Rosario-don't fret about the exercising. Spending time with your bf is just as important!! Let us know how the movie is. I wanna see it so bad.
As for me, I got quite the workout yesterday. I planted my flowers. Well, first I had to dig up part of the yard, then I planted. It looks so pretty now. I can't wait until they bloom and spread. It'll be gorgeous. I started new meds yesterday too (well last night) and I was so tired today. I can't believe I slept 14 hours last night-yes 14. I mean, it's a sleeping pill, but holy cow. I'm not taking it any more. I don't want to spend my whole life in bed. Well, got to make my list of things to do for tomorrow. TTYL.

Good morning chickies!!!

Sorry I was missing yesterday. I am fighting off a cold which may be a sinus infection at the moment. I've been tired and headachey.

Yesterdays exercise-4 mile walk, 60 min. turbokick
Todays exercise-4 mile walk/run (13 min. run at fast pace), I'm thinking about doing a turbokick workout, and I have a softball game late tonight (if it doesn't get rained out)

Wendy-Glad you were able to get away for awhile. Hope you're feeling refreshed. I am SO jealous you're going to see George Strait.

Angela-I planted flowers yesterday too! I did mostly porch planters, but a little bit in the garden near the side door to the house. Isn't it fun to watch them spread out and flourish. Good luck on the med. situation. I've been given a low dose of trazadone (antidepressant) for my sleeplessness. It worked ok, and didn't make me groggy or sleep 14 hours. I luckily dont need to take it all the time, but usually will add it in if I have a string of sleepless nights.

Rosario-Hope your movie date was fun. It is VERY important to spend quality time with the bf so dont let it make you feel guilty. What good is life if you're to worried about behaving perfectly to really enjoy it? I wish I could reach that perfect balance in life where I'm doing some good for my body but able to really indulge sometimes without worrying about those moments.

La3y-How close are you to the tattoo? I can't remember what weight you were aiming for before that reward. Hope you're almost there. Hope things are going well in your prep for camping. I'm not sure when I'll be able to go this year. I have a feeling there wont be many trips:mad: , and the ones we do will be close to home. It's really cool that your company is doing so much fun stuff for their celebration. I'll bet the hula hoop contest was a blast.

Well, off to check the boards. Have a great one

I am not sure....about the tat. I have been trying to get hubby into it and I think hes comeing around....We had a big fight last night so he is in the dog house and I am not letting him forget it at this time....

As for camping I am trying to get things together but I have no help so its all on me to do and I want to get some good food for me to take and thats going to be hard I have to go shopping with the mother-in-law.....I want to lose some the week I am gone and I have alot planed I am takeing my jump rope and me and the kids are going to be doing alot of walking....I have two more days till I go.....

On the game I still want to play next week so I will keep up with my points and put them up when I get back if that ok with all of you. I cant stop doing this for a week. There is no telling how much I would gain.....

Good morning ladies!!

Well I didn't go see the movie last night. Me and the bf both were too tired to do anything. So we staeyed in bed and he played PS2 and I played on the PSP. Ahhh, nothing like quality time. lol and i'm also sad to say I didn't get any excercise. I really want to but when I get home the energy is gone. I don't really know when I'll get back into the groove of things. I was actually on the Coolrunnings website and they have this plan (Couch to 5K). I really want to start running so I think that'll be a good way to start.

Lady Unicorn-where do you go camping?? my bf really wants to go and as I am kind of new to the GA area I'd like to know. I'm kind of scared because of the enormous bugs I've seen here...I hate insects (except for ladybugs :) )

Brandy-you fight that cold!!! :drill: it's no fun being sick.

Wendy-gld you got some time to yourself to relax. I'm really glad you'll be back for Game 5.

angela-wow, 14 hours??!! That's half of a day. I love my sleep but I hate sleeping too long. It just seems like a waste. Use those pills sparingly!!

Courtnie-How the heck are you drinking so much water???!!!

I am amazed myself that I manged to get in 6 liters a day - but here is how I do it.

First of all I went out and bought myself a super cute water bottle - I can't seem to drink as much out of anything else. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000BVWV0A.01-A1G57TZQP9RISF._PE15_SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg I love the Nalgene I have a couple colours and will get more. I like the wide mouth bottles because I can get more in my mouth at a time.

Anyway it works like this (usually - not always the same) - I wake up around 5:45 and start drinking it right away. I usually drink 1 bottle (1 bottle is 1 liter) during my hour work out.

I sip on another while getting ready for work and work on that same bottle until about 10-12 depending on if I am having coffee or not.

I drink another during lunch. 1 in the afternoon. 1 on my way home from work. And 1 in the evening.

I love diet pepsi - I just got used to no diet pepsi until I am done 6 liters - sometimes if I really want it I have it after 5 but no sooner (except on weekends). I feel better when I drink the water and really miss it if I don't have - I almost crave it (the water). It was hard at frist, and sometimes I really have to chug that last bottle to get it in. And yes, I got pee A LOT - haha.

Sorry for that being so long.

Hello girls

I am just going to weight for next monday to start keeping track I have been doing really good just not good at typing all the points in. I am very proud on how good I have been last weekend was great a little not so good foods but compared to the past 2 weekends it was great. I am just glad to get out of all the bad eating I couldn't stop but now I am back at it I just need to exercise a little more and I am all good. I have to stop boxing and kickboxing for a couple of weeks to much stuff going on with honey working nights and other stuff. I have not gone for a week and feel blah. But I do have to say...lol Sunday I made the honey buy me the Mario dance pad LOVE IT I think monday I was on it for a 1 hour i was sweating when I was done and I had to stop becouse the kids wanted to play...LOL and I played yesterday for half hour it even tells you how many calories you burned. I was going to get the one for PSP but all you did was dance and with mario you can play mini games and you can even play where youhave to beat the game with your dance moves :dancer: So thats some exercise ALso Monday and tuesday I was outside for a couple hours till the sun went down playing volleyball playing tag doing alot more stuff with out those 56 extra pounds and I feel great. I was not tired the kids couldn't keep up with me :D

I was trying to help my sister in law lose weight because she asked me she did good for the 1st month lost some pounds then started slacking now back to where she was at. SHe is my girl and all but if I have to sit there everytime when I am with her and hear how fat she is and how she needs to lose weight I am going to scream. But I won't because I know it's hard I just keep telling my self she has not hit that point yet where she truly wants to lose weight. Yeah everyone wants to lose weight. But you have to hit a point in your life and say thats it I am ready to give it my all ready to be thin and healthy I don't want to be fat anymore. Its not easy it has up's and down's but you want it so bad you just have to run over the humps and keep on going. I know everyone wants to find that magic pill I know I did. But there is really no such thing read that labels requires healthy eating and excerise duh thats a waste of 40-100 dollars. I reached my point when my son turned one I saw that picture a year ago and was like WHAT I know I was big and I wanted to lose weight but never really tried ok maybe for a week even a day bought every pill in the book. and nothing but that picture (i have the picture of then and now I just don't know how to post it) turned something on the next day I went to weight watchers and that was it. I stuck to it and still sticking to it I have 30 more lbs to go. You have to really want it I mean really want it and ready to work your *** off and when you hit that hump run over it or jump over it just don't go running back the other way because there is no other way around it not even a shortcut. Like anything else you have to really want it for it to even work. Sorry about all that blabbering just all came out.

Brandy - guess where I am going in a few my 1st spinning class I am so excitied.

Ok enough taking up room have a nice day

Niki-What did you think of spinning. I hope you loved it and sweated your a** off!! I know what you mean about reaching a point where something clicks in your brain, and there is no turning back on your decision to lose. My point was seeing some pics from christmas, and knowig I'd be miserable in Hawaii if I still looked like that in the fall. So shallow, but it worked for me. Hope you loved your class.

~Oh my god lol.. If I drank 6 of those I would never leave the bathroom. I wouldn't get any work done LOL. Way to go for you to be able to though, that's great!!

Okay, so I haven't excercised yet. But today I promise I will at least get 40 minutes of running/walking on the treadmill. I have to wait for my bf to get out of work so I'll be in the gym at his community. woo hoo. I love thursdays!! you would think that I wouldn't be able to last running but I can last for 10 minutes jogging without stopping. I wonder if it's because it's easier on the treadmill. I don't know but I like it.

also, my eating hasn't been too good. my meals are good and a couple of snacks are good too. it's just when I get home i stuff my face with all this junk. I have really got to get this under control. Not doing good so far as I have already eaten a honey bun. (yikes!!)

niki-you know i guess i haven't reached my breaking point yet, because here I am still not changing my habits.

Hi everyone! Sorry I have not been around much, honestly I have been feeling very lazy this week and have been a bad girl.:( I have not been drinking my water as needed and I have even been skipping workouts!

I am changing all that today though! I got my butt up and did the burn on my Turbo Jam, then did the 40 min Turbo sculpt, so I am on the path to feeling more like myself.

Courtnie~I cannot believe you can get that much water into your body! Very impressive! I looked at the water bottle~very cute!! I will have to try to keep a water bottle at hand and see if I can improve my intake.

Well, off to get ready for some work, I will chat again soon.

Hello Girls

Brandy - Loved it sweated my a$$ of. but note to self buy gel seat before next weeks class butt really hurts. But I feel great instructor kept saying just take it your pace since I was the only beginner there I was like ok NOT I came to sweat and thats what I did but it felt great no wonder your thin couple classes a week and eating right you can be thin right away..LOL but anyone who goes please remember gel seat :D

Rosario- I know it's hard I think it was even harder I have a man 2 kids I was like why I am happy no need to impress anyone else. Guess what I do and thats me and it does help getting comments from people. I love to just grab one thing out of my closet and just go with it instead trying every damn thing in that closet to hide the rolls. I hated go shopping for clothes. When your ready you will do it. ANd it won't be as hard. I had the same problem with my honey always wanted to eat junk always junk in the house only drank coke. Always do we have to go for that walk of course I said no and sat there played video games and ate junk food. Now I say yes we are going for a walk or I will go by myself and yes there is are a lot of times I go by myself but I feel great. And now I can be like nah I don't need it. It takes alot like everyone I slip up. It took my girlfriend to hit it going wedding dress shopping. It will hit you and then look out no one can stop you.

Here are my before and after picture I hope it works

Hi gals-Happy Thursday!

I'm still suffering from this darn cold which is I believe now a sinus infection. I can't wait till I kick it out of my system so I can feel normal again. I had a FUN softball game late last night (we didn't start til 9-WAY past my bedtime!) We had a blast and won, but it wasn't a blow away game so good fun competition. I haven't done anything today as I had to be at my sis's early this morning to babysit, and my ankle is throbbing away after jarring it in last nights game. I'll do something this evening while hubby is out golfing. Won't that be out of character for me, an EVENING workout!!!

Nikki-I KNEW you would love spinning! I second the gel seats. I actually wear the nasty bike shorts with the padded butt. I look ridiculous, but my butt doesn't hurt. Your before and current pics are truly inspiring! You look so much healthier and happier!! Truly amazing!

Rosario-someday something will click and when it does, you already have learned what to do so it'll be even easier at that time. Plus you have all of us to cheer for you now, and then. Part of me didn't mind being large because I had been so ill with food allergies before. Once I found something to help temper my horrid reaction to most foods I went nutso and ate everything and LOVED every minute of it. I didn't mind being fat because I was feeling so much better. It took me about 2 1/2 years to click that I wanted to be small again. No matter if your large or little, you're still an incredible, awesome woman!

Darcy-"Its time to pparrrrttttyyy!" Hope you are completely back intp the Turbo thing.

Well, off to get into trouble. Have a great one!

Niki - I see a HUGE change! wow! I dont see that much of a change in my face area, but I see a pretty big different in my chest area and other people had said the same.

Darcy, Brenda - getting in that much water at first was very hard. But now I am totally used to it. If I drink too much at once my tummy gets a bit sore but other then that and a few extra trips to the bathroom I don't really notice it anymore.

Rosario - you may not have reached your breaking point but your still here so that means you are close. In the past any time I attempted to lose weight it never lasted much longer then a week or two - when I did weight watchers it was a bit longer but not much. About a month before I started coming here something just hit me and that was it and I haven't looked back. It doesn't mean that I don't have bad days, because I do, but it means that 80% of the time I stay on track; afterall, no one is perfect!

Hi gals-

Having a rough evening here. My ankle still hurts and I promised my hubby I wouldn't exercise tonight to give it a chance to heal up. My sinus infection doesn't seem to be getting any better and I'm very tired of it. And a friend of mine passed away today (not the one I talked about earlier, although I found out that hospice is in, and she probably wont hang on much longer.)

This week has been an emotional wreck for me and I just am not sure how much more I can deal with. I have no idea how I will be able to play my friends funeral on Monday. I am not good at keeping my emotions in check and I dont think I'll hold it all together enough to make it through all the hymns. I just don't know what to do to help the situation. I have to play the funeral. It was requested, and I'd rather fill that request and goof than deny it and hurt his family.

Anyways, I hope you all are having a much better time than I am. I'm going to go make myself a stiff drink and throw a movie in while I ice my ankle again.

Hi everyone! Well, I think that I have officially "shaken the lazies" (as La3y put it.) I did my Cardio Party workout today and I am already feeling much much better. My youngest really cracks me up, he has been walking around singing some of the songs from my workout dvd's and now he has them stuck in my head too! I guess that may be his way of helping me to stic with it, I have to put in the dvd's to get the song stuck in my head replaced with a different one!

Brandy~So sorry for your loss. I know that you will find the strength to get through playing at the funeral. Take care of that ankle and sinus infection too. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Nikki~What a difference! You look fabulous, keep up the good work!

Will chat again soon!
Take Care.

Hi everyone! Just updating my scores before I start getting ready for work (9-5 today, ugh!).

Remember when I posted the goal dress a few days ago, saying I was going to buy it when my paycheck cleared? Guess what? I checked the site in the morning of the day my check cleared and it was still there... but by the time the check actually cleared, it was gone! :(:(:( I'm SO bummed out. So, tomorrow I'm going to the mall to look for dresses. I want to find something to look forward to!

Hello! Went to the drive-in last night and saw Cars and the Wild. They were both super cute. Today I cleaned the living room-dusted and vacuumed, vacuumed the whole house, mopped the kitchen floor and am doing laundry. I am also going to clean one of the upstairs bedrooms. I'm on the go today! Have a good one!
