I feel like I am back in kindergarten in many ways.... personal, sometimes at work and now with the weight loss. I have done so many things wrong over the years.....emotional eating, pills for weight loss, eating the wrong things, failed diets, etc.
Now it's time to start fresh, kinda like back in kindergarten ~Jules
Please join us in our journey, pull up a chair and get comfy! :comp:

Maybe we should make it pre school?? lol

Okay, if you insist Susan. But I don't know how comfy I can get, just so tired. I think I could use a margarita too! Or maybe two! I think today is a twofer day! Anyway, per your request...here is my last post:
I'm Baaaaaaaack...did ya miss me?! Bet you thought I got lost in wally world! Nope...been here since 12 or 12:30 (except for the brief trip to mail a letter) trying to catch up on posts and pm's. You ladies are keeping me busy with all the reading.
Anyway...went to WW and got that out of the way. Didn't do the exercise because I had other things to take care of and that is the last thing that is on my mind. Didn't do it yesterday either but took my free day for that. Poor DH doesn't know it yet, but he will be joining me for a three mile walk this evening. Will hit IF tomorrow and Friday. As long as I get my three days in it doesn't matter what three days it is. Anyway...so, took a card to my neighbor to thank him because May is National Military Appreciation Month. He is home on leave from the reserves but leaving Sat., heading back to Iraq. So we had a little conversation and I thanked him for serving our country. Then off to take a little gift to another neighbor and had a little chat with her and got to hold her 2 week old baby. The reason for the visit and gift...her new bundle of joy Ashley Tate. Oh man, she is adorable and makes me want another! She let me hold her and I didn't want to let her go. Of course I had to give her doggie, Sammy some attention too!
ELLEN...loved the friendship poem and DITTO what Susan said! We love you and you DO brighten our day!
SUSAN...you are my inspiration! You have certainly come a long way and I so admire you for that. I just don't think I could ever do it. There's a lady at IF that has lost over 100 pounds and I just am in awe of her and you. If it were me, I think I would have given up but you ladies keep going. Talk about strong! And I loved your poem too! I printed them both out. Actually, three, Jules too!
JULES...what the heck is the jack and pill diet? Don't think I have ever heard of that. And loved your poem also! And it is so true!
KATY...oh my gosh thank you so much for sharing those! Made my day! LOL When we open gifts I have to say that we have decorated/dressed Ernie Dog! The things we do to our pets.
GINNY...yeppers-DS is having to drive DH's truck and DH is driving Josh's truck-no one drives my car but me! LOL Well, sometimes DH. But he doesn't like it because he is 6 ft. 4 and has a hard time getting in and out of it. When DS took his car in last, they told him they were afraid that it was on it's last leg. Didn't think it would last much longer. Can't find anything wrong with it either, said it's just old. It will run fine and then just die. After it sits for a while it will start up, go a little ways and then die. Anyway, I hate water! But I know I have to drink and I know I need to drink it so here lately I have been forcing myself to. Andjust when I think I am liking it...it makes me want to throw up. But...I set 4 16.9 oz. bottles on the counter every morning and that is what I aim for every day. The funny thing, I am drinking more, 5-6 bottles and I never thought I would. And talking about weather...ours is screwy. One day it is 82 (yesterday), today it is 70 something, tomorrow it is supposed to be 60 something. It has been this way for the last 2 or three weeks now. Sorry you asthma is acting up, and WTG on the bike riding. 30 mns. is absolutely better than nothing at all!
MICHELLE...(((((HUGS))))) to you. So sorry to hear about your grandma and grandpa. And I do know how hard it is to be so far away from family.
Okay, I hope I didn't miss anyone and think I got caught up, until tonight anyway, lol! You ladies are keeping me on my toes! Gonna go post on the challenge thread because I started that and have every intention of finishing-it's about me, no one else. Then going to get rid of that fat pig eating donuts!
See ya ladies later!
Okay, forgot to mention about Military Appreciation Month...I put out a mini flag that has a yellow ribbon on it, along with an americana wreath I made, put two bows on the garage lights and something else, can't remember in honor of all the men and women who serve our country. Also, plan on thanking every person I see who is military and am wearing my Support the Troops.
Also want to say to JULES and ELLEN...that I don't want to see either of you go. We moved to a new thread to get a fresh, new start and that is what we need to do. We have got to get past this ordeal and move on regardless of how hard it is. We are all friends here and I don't want to see anyone else go. It's already happened once. So PLEASE before no one is left lets move on TOGETHER! :grouphug:

Here I am!
A new day .....
DS is home sick w/ 101 fever. Last night DH took him to urgent care while I was at the board meeting, which was pretty good for nothing except getting the kids to bed very late. They waited for an absurdly long time to get a negative rapid strep test. I could have told them that would happen. He was fever-less last night, just had a sore throat. Now today he has the fever and if we were at the doc's office right now, it would be positive. We went ahead and put in a 48 hour throat culture and I'm going to keep him home until we get the results.
Upshot - Mommy didn't get to go out for her favorite beer last night (Black Lab Stout at the Lucky Lab Pub in my neighborhood) Waaaa - it's all about me!
Crossing my fingers hoping DD doesn't get sick.....
FWIW - this isn't a playground and I for one feel people can play with whomever they want. I tell my kids all the time you can have lots of best friends - you don't have to stick to one. Jules - I appreciate you starting this discussion group as I am all for and in frequent need of fresh beginnings.

I thought you wrote "lets move in together" Cristi - I almost blew my water across the screen. I like you all but really don't wanna bunk with any of you.
Anyway, thanks for cut and pasting. It is about us and who we are :)
Katy- sorry about you daughter , is that waht ds means. I think so. 101 is scary - hope she is ok soon. Hey , meet me for a Margarita :)

Hi Cristi and Susan - you posted while I was posting
Well said Cristi---don't know if I'll make it back up to the challenge....since the sickies started around here I haven't been tracking my food, so I am going to have to change gears I think. I put the Sonoma Diet book on hold at the library ...it has a bunch of foods in it that I like, so maybe it is a fresh start for me.
Susan- I've been enjoying reading about your successes...I know I read them before, but it' s great to read them again. You have overcome a great deal and you strive for the same things I am striving for - As my mom says " Air in all the tires!" The tires are mental, physical, social and spiritual.....and they all gotta have some air baby!

DS - dear son
DD - dear daughter
DH - dear ( or damn) husband depending on the day. DH can also stand something else unprintable but gets muttered under my breath occasionally usually when I am cleaning up the aforementioned's messes.

SUSAN...aaahhhh, your message box is full again! Man you are popular! Hey, love you too and all you ladies but...wouldn't want to live with you either! But...I'll take Gaby off your hands, been wanting a little one of my own and she is a cutie!
Same goes for Miss Leigh too Katy! While in WW this morning kept running into (not literally) this woman and her little girl, so cute. She had this GREAT big smile :D and had a cookie (they give the kids one in the bakery) in hand and gave me a pinky wave, so cute!
KATY...very well said and I totally agree! Sorry to hear about DS and hope he gets to feeling better. Not fun being sick and I hope DD doesn't get it. Sorry you didn't get to go to your favorite pub, I could use a beer right now and I don't drink beer!
Anyway, didn't get my avatar changed but will come back later to do it. V just walked through the door and we have things to do. So I will see you ladies later.

Katy- thank you. I am sorry about your son :) Cross fingers it is just a 24 hour thing and Leigh doesn't catch it. I like that tire thing. I haven't been in church in so long. I should do that. It would help the girls too. I wanted Gaby raised in church, the other 2 weren't so much maybe that is the problem with us now?
Cristi - lol We can have margarita's and go go back to our own homes. I like beer if it is real cold and with chips and salsa....have fun with Vince :) I deleted the mail box and Gaby is all mine! :) She is so fun , I will share her though.

hope everyone decides to stay here! Like I said, I don't know everything that is going on, but I love to talk with all of you; you're all very nice ladies! Susan, thank you for explaining all of that to me. You really have been through a lot, and you really are an inspiration to me! I did not know that you were a star, but then, I watch channel 8 news only. You're doing so good with yourself and getting your life on track and I think you're WONDERFUL! I hope all of you cheer up and keep posting. Have a great day!!!

Ellen,
I don't think you mean Michelle?
The "its all about me " pharse ( I think that is what you are meaning, if I am wrong ignore me - lol ) means. That we need to care for ourselves first. That if we aren't caring for ourselves first, it really isnt a healthy thing. Does that make sense? I don't know.
I am sorry this has caused you so much hurt. I would sit at your side and be with you through it if I could .
We are starting fresh here. The other thread was special to all of us. I know that pain.
We have to take steps moving forward, we have too. I can't be stuck on Monday. Not worth it.
HUGS :)

I swear this will be my last post for today! Swear. Just was thinking of this poem, and I love it! It carried me through 2 years of depression back in 2000. I am only sharing it because strength really needs to come from ourselves. I feel so sappy today *sigh*. Just if it helps anyone else by reading it - like it did me.
Here Comes the Dawn
After awhile you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't mean security
And you begin to understand that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head held high and your eyes open
With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child.
You learn to build your roads on today,
Because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans,
And futures have a way of falling down in midflight.
After awhile you learn that even sunshine burns
If you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
Instead of waiting for someone else to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure,
That you really are strong
That you really do have worth
And you learn and learn...and you learn
With every goodbye - you learn.

Hi Susan ~ Thank you for the message for the new home. I am very upset right now by what Ellen said. I do not even know how I started something that upset her so bad! I'm trying to find what I did or didn't say to make her so upset, because she's saying it's my fault for all of this happening for her to leave. I'm new to this site and to your group, and I don't feel comfortable here now, because I truly do not know what I did. I am sorry if I offended anyone here, but I honestly couldn't find what I had said.:( :( :(

Hello ladies...
Back again as promised! :D
(((((MICHELLE)))))sorry you thought you did something wrong, just been a bad day for us and the names were confused as Susan said. We love having you here and hope you come and visit often!
SUSAN...loved the poem! Another great one that I printed out. Think I will type it up in some purdy color ink and print out to put in the scrapbook. Tonight would have been a great get-together night for chips, salsa and a very strong margarita! Vince and I had a nice time. He works so much sometimes it's like I hardly see him so we make the most of it when he is home. Even if it is just sitting on the swing in the back yard. And I am quite all right with men joining, as long as they are cute! :D Hey, I may be old but I'm not dead!
KATY...that's okay about the challenge. I have been keeping track on my printed out calendars from AOL and will continue the challenge that way. I almost messed up tonight because I didn't want to walk after dinner, but went anyway. You've got to do what works for you and I know to well how things change from one day to another. I think my way of thinking is different now and although I haven't finished the challenge, I think that is what will stay with me. After the challenge I may end up missing a day or too but I've learned not to be so hard on myself. We are only human after all.
JULES...hoping you are fine and hoping to see you!
Okay, ladies, told Vince I was just getting on for a few minutes and it's been almost an hour! He was busy with something so no big deal. But I still want to go change my avatar, or at least add my 2.10 mile walk this evening. Wanted to do three but had water before I left and that really wasn't a good idea!
Have a good night ladies and see ya tomorrow!

Cristi
Thanks, I am heading home with Gaby. She is talking so much it is cute!
I loved that poem too. Story behind it was *roll eyes*.....(I am really quiet in person, I don't chat this much!) is that I fell in love with this man after my seperation - we were together 6 weeks and it wasn't going to work out. That set me in my depression until I went to this Lives in Transition class and they gave us that poem on graduation.
It helped a lot to heal.....until I met Mike - lol
Speaking of which.....he has asked to modify his CS from $244 down to??? who knows she is giving him til the 12th to get the paperwork in and she will suspend his DL on that date too. And the beat goes on.......
k- out of here!

Aaaaaahhh Susan  You are definitely a strong person and I know one day your prince will come!
And yes...Gabster is the cutest! They are so much fun and bring so much joy at that age. I always loved to sit back and just watch the kids...not a care in the world.
And Mike, UGH! What is his problem? And how can they just go and change things because he wants to? So unfair. You guys made a child together and he should have some responsibility too!
How's Rachel and Rebecca doing?
Well, I was up bright and early this morning, well...warly anyway, lol! Getting ready to head to IF and get my work out done. I like doing it in the morning and then getting on with the day but today...ugh! Don't feel like doing anything but going back to bed. Woke up at 2:30 this morning and then we had bad thunderstorms with hail from about three to six and I didn't sleep good at all. So still sleepy. Hoping a work out will wake me up. Anyway, I will be back later gators!

For Susan (from the lighten up thread)
& Crisitina for hoping Susan gets her prince
GIRL POWER LOL!!! ~ a fairytale
Once upon a time....in a land far away...a beautiful, self-assured independant princess happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle. The frog hopped into the princesses lap and said "Elegant lady, i was once a handsome prince until a evil witch cast a spell upon me. One kiss from you, however, and i will turn back into the dapper young prince that i am, and then my sweet, we can marry, set up housekeeping in YOUR castle, with MY mother, where you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, and bear my children and forever feel grateful and happy in doing so." That night as the princess dined sumptuously on lightly sauteed frog legs seasoned in a white wine and onion cream sauce she chuckled and thought to herself...I DON'T FREAKEN THINK SO!!!! ~lol sorry if this has already been on here I just thought it was pretty cute

Thanks Jules :) Cute. How is your day so far?? I have something to share on my work place later. We have court on the 22nd and it is tense.
Ok, that is a tease..... I will finsih the story in a bit :)
Cristi - I don't know what his problem is, I guess he doesn't want to work. lol Bless his little heart.
Tossed and turned AGAIN last night. Listened to Mr Jingles (cat) playing in the hallway.
Jumped on the scale this morning and ,,,,,,I have lost 4 pounds this week. Usually I eat when stressed but this week I have been too distracted to find a 7-11 slurpee or 1/4 lb hot dog. Shame , huh? lol Anyway, I will move my tracker on Monday.

Back again ladies!
Never did make it to IF. Not really wanting to go and get out in the rain. It was nice for a coupleof hours this morning now...rain, rain, rain! :rain: Thinking I will just treadmill it today. :tread: Really need to get the house cleaned. Since taking it off the market I haven't cleaned like I should. And the last few days haven't done much of anything period. So today...treadmill, clean and do laundry. Oh what fun! Not!
JULES...that was cute! Frog legs are actually very tasty! Taste like chicken!
SUSAN...I keep saying maybe one day Mike will get his act together...but I think that is wishful thinking. If he hasn't by now...it's not going to happen. It's sad though for Gaby. WTG on the 4 pounds! :bravo: That's awesome! And i know what ya mean about not eating much. Seems my appetite went out the window. Sorry you couldn't sleep last night. I was doing fine until that bad storm came through. I could hear the hail hitting our window and kept waiting for it to break. Don't like that stuff at all.
KATY...how are the kiddos? Hope Leigh doesn't catch the bug. The mumps are going around here which is a little scary to me. My brothers and sisters had them but I never did. So they were recommending people get the shot. I was actually going to go get one then the next night on the news they were baffled because a lot of the people that got the shot, got the mumps!
Hi to everyone else!
I need to go and get something done. V is working late so gives me plenty of time. Excpet that DS and DD are home today to get int he way! Just kidding...I love when everyone is home...more people to help! Okay, ladies I'm outta here. Be back later.

Hi Cristi-
Just got to work. I picked up a salad for lunch and Trader Joes had the healthiest looking sunflowers for $2.69 - potted. I picked one up for the office, so cheery!
I never have lost my appetite over stress- kind of cool. I know I am so blonde.lol I don't know maybe that has been my saving grace to always find some humor in most things. Who knows.
Mike? I swear I drove by his fathers yesterday (because that is in the area where Rach is at) and there was this beat up looking car in front of the house, it was early in the morning. "assuming" it was Mikes flopping at his fathers. Who knows. Who cares..lol
What is IF?? I know you have said before, I forget.
Hi to Vince! I bet he is a sweet man :)
Hi to everyone too and I best get to work!!

Hiya Ms Susan!
I'm back again! Just can't seem to get away and stay away!
Salad sounds good for lunch. And I must find a Trader Joes! Is that just a west coast thing? Bet the sunflowers are really pretty. I love sunflowers, but my favorite flower is the carnation. Just love the way they smell. But sunflowers are so pretty and bright. Good for you for getting some to brighten up your office! I need something to brighten my day...it's so gloomy out.
IF=It Figures...place like Curves. You know, I thought they were just a local place but found a website and they are nationwide. Learn something new everyday.
Anyway, came back to post a simple quote for the day...thought it was cute. I get them in my e-mail every day and usually there are some good ones.
"My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint." ---Erma Bombeck
I love Erma Bombeck and definitely feel like hitting my head against something right now!
Okay, I REALLY gotta go and get something done today. But never fear...I'll be back! (in Arnold Swartzneggers (sp?) voice)

Michelle - Morning! Gaby just comes up with the sweetest things. She was watching a Blues Clues video this morning and I said the little dog was so cute, I loved his little voice.
She sad in a sad voice "you don't like me" - lol It is like omg......poor thing. I hugged her and said "you are my baby, love you tons!!",,her face is so cute when she sees her bus comes and get her....*sigh*.....just the sweetest thing.
Cristi- It looks like a yummy salad, can't wait to eat it. I think there was 300 calories in it and 10 grams of protein. I just drank 33 oz's of water and feel like I am floating. The flower is so pretty - a resident saw it and said "you know it is going to die" *ARGH* ain't we cheery??? lol I just said we are all going to die.....whatEVER.....lol

Susan--I'm here for a late lunch--I went and got my hair cut--shortest it's been since the dreaded Dorothy Hamil wedge cut in the eigth grade. I got me a greek salad from panera bread and hubby a regular garden salad. I gave him me bread though it was tempting to eat it myself.
Cristina--there are lots of funny things up in the lighten up thread. I sent it to my daughter on one of her bad days and got an email back that she was a vegetabletarian and didn't want any frog legs!!
Michelle so sorry about your Grandma. My coworker is home from the hospital but has no idea when she will be back.

And I am back yet again!
I did get some things done though. Changed the sheets on the bed, cleaned up the living room, dusted and actually got dressed! :p Even ran to the store to pick up a couple of things. And now I am back eating my sad little sandwich. Just need to vacuum and sweep the bathroom floors and I am done for the day. Oh, no I'm not...gotta get a walk in. *slaps forehead*
MICHELLE...what happened to the teddy bear avatar? That was soooo cute! I love teddy bears. Hugs to you and your grandma.
SUSAN...I only have one bottle of water down so far! So later on when I try to guzzle the other three, I will be feeling like a big blimp that sloshes! Not a pretty sight.
And a big WELCOME to Laura and Mary! Any friend of Susan's is a friend of ours and we look forward to getting to know you both. :welcome:
JULES...too funny! I used to frequent and post on the Lighten Up thread. That was when I found all kinds of funny stuff. I do read it sometimes though. Probably need to read it more often. Hey...I always liked Dorothy Hamil's wedge cut! Always wanted one but with my chunky face :nono:

Jules -
I had these Nicosie salad with those arugula capers. I forgot about those - kind of like these deer pellets. It has 320 cal. 40 oz's of water down so far. I think gaby would look cute in a Dorothy Hamil DO. lol It is growing out now, she had hacked away at it awhile back, just looking decent again.
Cristi - Have you ever had one of those walking ped....whatever they are called, that measures how far you walk?? I bet you walk a lot and don't even know it :)
I was reading on a poster the other day that second hand smoke:smoking: around children (or an adult, I guess) compares to 207 packages of cigs by the time the child is 5 years old! I thought that was sooooo amazing and sick.
k- back to work!

Cristina--When I got the Dorothy Hamil wedge at my grandmothers insistance, my hair had been all one length past the middle of my back. My hair is very fine and straighter than a board. To do the Dorothy Hamil wedge justice you need some body in your hair. Didn't look good on me at all and then the hairstyle moved on to the Toni Tennille (Captain & Tennille) mushroom cap cut which was not much better. Boy I'm really dating myself aren't I. I'll go one more and quit--After a botched perm job--the resulting cut made me look like Joan Jett with the straight up spikes. I actually did get alot of I looked like either Joan Jett (the haircut helped) or "janet" from three's company and my best friend Kelly personality was like "Chrissy's"

SUSAN...forgot to add...there is always someone to rain on our parade isn't there? Why can't someone enjoy the flower and say how pretty it is an dlet it go. Do they have to say "it's going to die?"
And yes, I do have a pedometer. For a while I was using it everyday and was amazed at the miles/steps a day I walked. Then it got old, not the ped, but me wearing it, lol. I still wear it sometimes. But usually put it on for a new walk to see how far I have gone. For the most part it is pretty accurate. To make sure I measure it with the park, and.or drive the walk. And speaking of walking missy...ummmm, when was the last ime you walked and did you get those new shoes for yourself?
I read something like that about second hand smoke. Something too about the chances of getting cancer were higher with second hand smoke than actually smoking the cig. Now does that make sense?
Okay, going to take off and look a couple of things up and then go vacuum. By then it will be time for jeopardy. Darn tv people...they keep changing the times of all my favorite shows. Was on at 3:30 and now they changed it to 4:30.
Have a good one ladies! (I'll probably be back later this evening after My Name is Earl and The Office-love those shows!

Susan--hubby and I don't smoke but both of our kids do and my neice who comes from a chain smoking household doesn't, but with her asthma I don't think she could do it anyway.

Jules ~ I bet your haircut looks cute! I wore my hair short for many years, but have it a little longer now. Last August I had about 6 inches cut off and I do miss it.;)
Cristina ~ I was just trying out a different avatar because I have quite a few of them, but I changed it back. I also love teddy bears!
Susan ~ My parents smoked most of my years growing up, and I hated it! They would say they quit and we could smell it in the bathroom, like they thought they could hide it from us! You are so lucky that you can use the computer at work. At my last job, they stalked us with the computers and watched every little move we made. They about drove me to a nervous breakdown, and I'm so happy I no longer have to work.:D

I had another question ~ Is there a timer on this site as to when it kicks you off when you take time trying to read posts, or when I got and type up a longer post or PM, and then get kicked off? I didn't know if we could adjust any time limit?:?:

Hi Michelle--it's not quite as short as my dorothy do, but it doesn't reach my shoulders. It's longer in front and more layered in back--that makes no sense to me and I am a visual person....I have gotten several compliments.

Michelle - There isn't a timer! If there was I would have been kicked off eons ago! lol Maybe in time you would feel comfortable meeting up with Katy & I? Maybe in the summer? I am trying to work on my social skills, you would be doing me a favor :D
Cristi- The resident was HORRID - terrible attitude! He sat here for an hour talking about his Meds and I wanted to scream I can't take this anymore! Causing me stress!!! I have 1 daughter in Rehab! 1 in suspension!! and 1 that is bawling me out for not buying her a slurpee!! lol Geez, back off.....and to tell me my flower is going to die....I KNOW that but can I ENJOY it today?? lol
Jules - Co worker! We don't get a long. We all know this but we are going to court and he shuts our pocket door and sweet talks her on the phone. She has been excluded from the building and is mean, mean, mean. Co worker is suppose to share with me what he does in reagards to the building but doesn't. He mumbles hello and that is it. I should go sit in his office and force him to share with me! My old boss came in yesterday and said "you're not happy??" and I almost started to cry.....*waaaaaaa
anyway tomorrrow is Friday!
back to work!

Michelle, staying logged in is based on cookies, so your forum cookie might be corrupt if it's kicking you off. It could also be a firewall issue, but it's probably easier to set a new cookie and see if that keeps you in. Go to www.3fatchicks.com/forum/mycookies.php and it will pull up a list of cookies related to the site. Put a check next to everything that starts with bb and then scroll down and submit to delete them. Then immediately close out your browser and restart your computer. When you come back to the forum and log in again, it will set a brand new cookie which should take care of it :)

Have any of you here ever used Fitday to count your daily calories, etc? I was just wondering and also how did you figure out the correct calorie count range to use? I've been using another site for this, but I've seen a lot of people on the site using Fitday, and would maybe like to try it instead. I just have a real problem with knowing what calorie range is correct to stay in and still lose weight.:?:

Susan--do I have to come out there and talk to you about the birds and the bees!!! No talk of babies when ex husbands are winking at you and maintenance men are looking good!!! Though my maintenance man is mighty fine and very handy around the house!!
Michelle--there are alot of Fit Day users on this site and I think I am going to check it out too. I told my friend/coworker with the diabetes about it since she needs to track her carbs.
Well, hubby is feeling neglected--gotta go!!

Hello, hello....
J's temp was 99 this morning and he woke up spoilin' for a fight....so I know he feeling better:D I still need the results of the 48 hour throat culture, but I'm not going to call for those 'til the a.m. If he does have strep, his period of contagion is over, so that boy is goin' to school - YES! I need to get to Value Village and pick up some warm weather clothing... too many cords and sweaters in my closet.....
Michelle and Jules - I've used Fitday and it's ok.
Susan-you should show up at that resident's door with a lovely bouquet tomorrow - just to cheer him up.....haha
Watch out with that pregger talk - friend of mine is 41 and now preggers with an "oops"....it ain't over 'til it's over. They are happy about it, but were in shock for a little while.
Jules - I think you and I are the same age...I've been through all those hairstyles..ugh. Now, I just had a bunch cut off and it's a bob with bangs - very much a wash-n-go mommy 'do
Cristina - I love Earl and the Office, too. I just can't stay awake for them most of the time. I don't watch much tv these days, but Thursday is the night. I watch Survivor, and tape American Inventor. Then if I can stay awake, Earl and Office.
Ok - gotta run DH is home

Hi Katy ~ The one I have been using is SP also, but their systems seems to be getting so slow anymore, and I don't know if it's since they upgraded or there are just so many people. I didn't know how accurate their calorie range was though, because they have me so much lower than Fitday, but then Fitday is so high. Oh well, I'll just have to see...:?:

Evening!
Jules - Silly girl, everyone knows babies come from the stork - not the birds & the bees. I will come out and visit you and we will do some girl talk :) lol
Katy - Gaby was my oops baby-lol I don't know if I get a second one. The older girls would flip out if I turned up pregnant. The resident is very sensitive. I sat there for an hour listening to him and finally I had to say "I need to get to work" he looked sad and said we use to talk more.......poor thing. With my shorten (6 hours) hours I just don't have time to give an hour a resident, we have over 300.lol
Spoke with Rach tonight and she sounded great. Her father had bought some new shirts for her in the missus section and she said she couldn't wear them because they were too old looking. So, I went back and bought her some more. Sheesh.
I had this rice/veggie/chicken dish for dinner.I got a mile in - yay.
Night Cristi!,Night Ginny!,Night Michelle! Night Lurkers!

Hi ladies...
I am pooped! And sleepy...this getting up at 7 am is for the birds! Anyway, got to see My Name is Earl and The Office...love those shows. Then had some folding to do and here I am finally. I know when I fall into bed I will be out in five minutes, probably more like 5 seconds! Zzzzzzzz....oh sorry.
Michelle...hope Suzanne helped with the problem. I have no clue about computers, cookies and such. And haven't had that happen to me. Now AOL is a whole nuther' ballgame!
Katy...glad James is better and can go to school. Can you believe it's almost over for the year?! This year definitely went by way too fast! I watched American Inventor a couple of times and it was funny! I can't ever remember when it's on but I am usually busy cleaning the kitchen at 7-7:30, sometimes as late as 8 like tonight. Very late dinner.
Susan...hope Mary and Laura find us! And glad Rachel is doing well. You know my first DH used to try and buy me clothes. Some of it was old womanish...I was only 22, 23...and the rest was always like 2 sizes too small! :yikes: I had to tell him I appreciate the thought and especially you thinking I am so tiny but this ain't gonna work anymore! That was after 1 kid and I gained 20 pounds. Still wore a size L-XL but he was buying smalls! LOL Loved that man! I miss him a lot to! And who mentioned preggers?! :nono: I think it's the water that does it ladies. I mean after all we have had 4 babies born on this tiny little cul-de-sac in the last three months! Either that or someones hubby gets around, lol! Kidding...WTG on getting a walk in! :run:
Jules...I think your son has the right idea...Earl is a beer drinking show! And it's funny. I love the brother and crabman. Well, Jaimie Pressley is good too! She plays the part perfectly!
Well, ladies...time for me to hit the hay. I usually don't go to bed until 10 and fall asleep sometime between 11 and 12 but tonight I am tired. Been this way for the last few days. Nighty, night!
Michelle

Susan ~ Do you work in the medical field since you talk about residents? Your dinner sounded very good and healthy! I love chicken and rice with veggies, but my daughter gets tired of me cooking chicken so much.:p
Cristina ~ I hope you get some good long sleep tonight! Tell your husband to get up in the morning when the alarm first goes off so it doesn't keep bothering you. My husband always gets right up, but most of the time he wakes up before the alarm even goes off so it doesn't bother me.;)
I hope all of you ladies out there all have good evenings. I will check in the morning, but my daughter doesn't have school "again" so we're going shopping and out to lunch with my sister and her two daughters. Sleep tight.

Good morning ladies, :coffee:
Don't think I have jumped ship if I don't post to often, but I am working 7 days a week for the past two weeks now, 10 hr days. So time in the evening is pretty tight for me. I still get my 5 miles bike ride in every evening,:ebike: but that don't leave much time for much else. Laundry, dishes etc. still have to be done too... but I'll try to read the posts as often as I can so I don't get to far behind.
Susan, glad Rach is having a better time of it. :hat:
Men mean well, but they don't have any idea about sizes. My dh gave up trying to buy me clothes after the first few years of marriage. I always had to return them. So now he sticks to jewelry, that is always the right size...:)
Michelle, I looked into Fitday. It will help me keep track of my calories, but it's not going to be all that accurate. They don't give you much selections. Like this morning, I had scrambled eggs from fresh eggs. That isn't even an option on FD, they have scrambled eggs from dry eggs. Or they have scrambled eggs, with sausage hash browns etc. frozen meal...they have several choices of that..like come on everyone doesn't eat frozen meals all the time. I am a fresh from scratch cook. But I'll try to use it for a while see if it helps anyway. I was surprised to see cake under eggs. If you have a piece of cake are you suppose to take it apart by ingredients to see the calories...? if so I don't think I'll ever eat cake again....well maybe sometime.
My dh always gets up early, like 5:30, 6, 6:30 somewhere in there.. he usually wakes up around 4 or so and lays in bed a while. He has trouble sleeping. Most of the time he wakes me up, not intentionally, I don't think anyway..but once he gets up I usually fall back asleep for a short time. I am up between 6:30 and 7 everyday too. I am a morning person, if I have had enough sleep. I have been sleeping better, course I am exhausted by the time I get home now.
It is cloudy out again today. We never did get the rain and storms they called for. But it may rain later today. Who knows.
Well, nothing much to say. I'll check in when I can.

Katy--a couple that are friends with my mom from her church have a daughter graduating college now, a son just finishing his freshamn year at college and a 2 year old--talk about oops!! I am glad your son is feeling better!!
Susan--Rach sounds so much like Teri, Teri is still so picky about her clothes and everything has to match just right and heaven forbid you get something that doesn't fit just right or it looks like something somebody "older" woudl wear. Teri's getting a little better but she is still picky. The girl has at least 25 pairs of flip flops in all different colors and heel height(most are cheap Walmart bin type) along with dress shoes (had to have a different pair each dance to go with the dress) sneakers, and boots. She did say to me the one thing that is good about not being with her ex anymore is that she can wear heels again. He was only slightly taller than her and didn't like her to be taller. One of the many little controlling things I am still finding out. The more she thinks about it and talks with me and her friends she is realizing that he was very manipulative and controlling without being in your face demanding so it didn't seem like it to her at the time. Her divorce hearing is May 25. The ex and his Dad (who was never nice to her) are coming down from Philadelphia, I am taking all day off to be with her, hubby is coming home at lunch time to be there, her old friend since 8th grade is coming and her new friend from college will be ther too. Her Dad says that the ex and his dad better not try to get smart with Teri or he may end up in jail--he joked that at least the bail bondsmens office will be close. The ex is terrified of my 6'2' husband so I am pretty sure we will be okay.
Crisitina--My son has a whole collection of Jason Lee movies..Mall Rats, Chasing Amy and I can't remember the rest. They also watch the office though they play video games through Will & Grace.
Morning Michelle!!
Well I am going to drink a cup of coffee, hit Slim-n-tone for a workout, go to work for a few hours, stop by the vet for some doggy pills for Levi's allergies and off grocery shopping and the library---boy, I am thinking about going back to bed after just typing it all out loud!!

Hi Ginny! That is awesome on the 5 mile bike riding! It would be nice to walk more myself. I guess my problem is I open it up to an option and it isn't. lol Should be walking more!:woops: Would be wonderful to have you more to chat with :cofdate: but will accept that you have a life! lol
Jules - Hey! I saw the clothes that the ex bought Rach and really not too bad. One shirt though was a 1x, I might keep that one- if I am losing it will get roomy fast enough. I could wear it now though - :chin: have to think about that. I picked up some clothes that weren't acceptable that I had brought earlier. Some Happy Bunny PJ's - what could be wrong with that? She can't wear tank tops because she can't shave her arm pits with an electric razor:blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: so, we had to buy short sleeve or long sleeve and with summer coming there was no long sleeves to buy:blah: :blah: :blah: Anyway, I will call her tonight and see what she thinks of them. See her Sunday! Didn't you go to work today?? No fair!:rollpin:
Michelle Hope you have a nice time with your family today and a good lunch:hungry: . I made myself a turkey salad from home and brought that and I found 2 apples in the fridge for snacks. Ain't I good?:encore: I will probably blow it over the weekend - lol.
Cristi ugh.....getting all teary eyed talking to you!! :stress: Hope you are having a WONDERFUL Friday. Hope you pamper yourself and remember what a sweet lady you are and how much I appreciate you. You have been a wonderful friend to me in the last 2 years. I nominate you for saint hood:preg: oops.....wrong one:judge: ok, close enough.

Good afternoon ladies...
Not feeling so great today. Woke up with a headache, backache and a tickle in my throat that won't go away! Feel like I am coming down with something but not sure where I would get anything. No one here is sick.
GINNY...at least you are keeping up with your bike riding. I missed my exercise yesterday. Spent too much time here and then trying to play catch up with the house work. With throwing two errands in between. It's cloudy and gloomy here too. Rained some before I got up and is supposed to be this way tomorrow too.
MICHELLE...oh, DH doesn't wake me up. We both have our own clocks and I hardly ever even hear his, or him getting up and in the shower. I will hear him leave sometimes. Now when the kids get up and moving about I do hear them. Their bath is right next to our bedroom and for some reason that shower (the pipes) are loud and annoying. Just not been able to sleep for other reasons-too much on my mind. Hope you have a nice day of shopping and lunch with your DD.
JULES...that's us. Our son would have been 6 this year and the other three are all in their 20's, yikes! (22, 24 & soon to be 26!) Only he wasn't a surprise, definitely planned. Have a nice day shopping and at the library. I bought a couple of books yesterday thinking maybe it would get me into reading again.
SUSAN...Hope you got Miss Gaby, the slurpee queen off to the sitters. Or should I say she is the slurpee princess and you are the slurpee queen? A slurpee actually sounds good right now...would feel good on my throat.
Well, not much planned for the day. I usually go to IF on Friday but didn't feel up to it so walked the treadmill (2 miles) before getting in the shower. Straighten the house, get a load of laundry done and then get the wedding gift together and take to V so he can give it to the bride and groom. They are a cute couple, some odd things on their gift registry...a womans bike, the game twister, a swimming pool, two flat screen tv's and a bunch of little kitchen gadgets which is what we bought for them. I wanted to stray from the list to get a better gift. But...since they have lived together for a couple of years I don't know what they have...I don't even know them, more of acquaintances. Anyway, they are headed to Corpus Cristi for a week for their honeymoon. Aaahhh, to be young again. Anyway, chat with ya later!
Hope everyone is having a GREAT Friday!

Deborah--Welcome--If you and Susan want to do cartwheels to the scale--have at it--I have never been able to do one...we actually just post our weight loss (or gain...yuck) I have been stuck at 0 loss for the last 2 months!!! I love "the Phenix" so cool...I want to get a lotus flower tattoo on the botton of my back when I get to goal weigh or at least to 150. Similar meaning to the phoenix rising.
Susan--no I didn't end up going to work today , hubby and I were going for a ride after I got back from exercising, library, vet & grocery store but I just got here (all groceries away) and he's getting ready to leave with a friend to go put a windshield on the friends bike so they can ride with us tomorrow. Today day would have been a good day to catch up since the crazy coworker who talks all the time and listens to your conversations from her booth would not be there. My DH did not believe that she listenned in until yesterday. Our friend Becky called me, there used to be a Becky that worked with us..I call me husband to say that Becky called to give him a message for both of us and the coworker jumps up and ran over to my booth while I am on the phone with DH and says "Becky called...how is she...did you tell her about our other coworker that is out after her diabetes attack"...He says he will never doubt me again.....
Cristina--I actually would have had a 16 year old too if I hadn't miscarried. I hope your feeling better. I just finished Sandra Brown's "Chill Factor" it was pretty good, I got a few others but couldn't get into them. I got one today on conquering clutter--now if I can only find those papers from the "how to get organized" seminar I went to.....

Fenix - After you do the cartwheels and weigh yourself come on into the Kindergaten thread (it might be #2 by Monday btw) and say if there was a loss that week.
This will ......#1 inspire the others to lose themselves or #2 make them really jealous of you. lol I am JOKING. We do have a weekly weigh in for those who want to sahre. You don't have too!! :)
I saw the pic , he is a cutie!
Jules - Hi :) Co worker and I took a stroll to see our new office space. It is huge and maybe I won't hear him chatter to his sweetie so much. He needs to keep his dentures in more securely though because his lisp is annoying me now. .....tsk, tsk...one thing after another! lol

Jules, Break time! I was going to say I was wide awake at 3:00am. I haven't slept all night in awhile. This time though I got up and cleaned. I did 2 loads of laundry and mopped the floors, took the garbage out. There had been a terrible stinking smell when I had gotten home that evening. Turned out to be a 2 gallon jug of milk that had been sitting on my counter for days. Don't know how I missed it there. Good thing I didn't give any to Gaby haha. I finally went back to bed around 4:30 am.
Mr. Jingles (our kitty)came out of hidding after 2 days. He had a blue lollipop stuck to his tail. The same lollipop that Gaby had been sucking on. Poor kitty, I had to cut it the lollipop off.
K- Break time over!! I am a really slow at typing. So, was there a reason you stayed home? I think that is great.
What are your plans for the weekend??

SUSAN...100 sounds good to me! And I love that new smilie :boxing: look at this one :whoo: at first I thought it was cute but the more I look at it...it looks kind of nasty. Next time you can't sleep...come on over to my house and clean, lol! Funny, the last like week and a half I have been waking up at 2 a.m. weird...funny about the kitty and the sucker. Wouldn't have happened to be a caramel apple one would it? Our Ernie dog loves those as does DD. When she has one, he will jump in here lap and try to get it. How's the new office? Too bad the boss is a dummy with dentures. That has got to be awkward. But the gf can't come in right?
JULES...sounds like you are/did have a nice day with DH. Wish DH had and liked motorcycles. Had a boyfriend years ago that had one and I loved riding it. I haven't read Sandra Brown in ages. She used to be a favorite until I discovered Janet Evanovich and Catherine Coulter. I bought one of John Saul's books and the other I can't remember who it is. Need to finish Marley & Me. I love dogs! But I almost picked up Chill Factor to see what it was about. Maybe next time.
FENIX...looked everywhere for those pictures and couldn't find them. Would love to see you and you child.
HI Ginny, & Katy! And Mary & Laura if you're lurking!
Well, Ms. Susan, about this weekend...nothing special planned. Tomorrow is supposed to rain and Vince is working so will just stick around here and play on the computer, clean house and read. Sunday we will be doing yard work and possibly some painting. That brown mustard in the kitchen is looking horrible to me, ICK! GAG! Looking more like nacho cheese! So we are going back to the green, something I like and can live with.

Cristi - I want to go home!!:rollpin: This is the loooooongest day. It is so nice outside :flow1: Speaking of which....kind of funny....my sunflower died - lol
How weird. I almost think co worker (he likes to think he is my boss but we are equal :boxing: ) did something - like put it by the heater...I can't prove it but I know he did something!! lol......whoa......lets go for a drink Cristi! I question everything these days.....lol
ummmmm. The office is nice.We won't move over til the end of the month. We will still be together but the room will be sectioned off for our own space. I almost rather have the front office by myself, though it's not as big.I might ask......I just need a hole to survive in....lol.No, the gf can't come around.....I will tackle her if she does,,,,,,bf will come to her defense and his dentures will fly through the air...... I am sure they will hurt someone really bad....at least I hope and he gets sued and goes to jail......lol
I don't think the lollipop was carmel/apple. I think it was just apple....or kind of tasted like kitty litter, not sure......haha
You think 100 post too??? Cool, votes over!! lol - jk....chat later. Deb has her pic back up, isn't she pretty?? We are so good looking in this group. :)

Cristina -Ok Cristina I got my aviator to change and this one has my son and myself on it!!!
Susan - Thank you so much I think he is a cutie too!! I think he looks like me :p
I was having a problem at his school this week and I went up there ready for a fight because of another child in his class picking on him . This child had the entire class tellimg my son that he stank and had bad breath  My son was in the hospital a few years ago and becauseof all of the meds it staind his front teeth kinda tan/brown. Well this child messed with my child about it soo much that it began to effect his self esteem. So my husband and I had his teeth whitened. If you had seen the fase he made when he saw his new white teeth it was worth every penny I paid. Well the 1st thing he said to me is "Mommy I am gonna show all of my friend that my teeth are not dirty (thats what that lil creep was telling him every day) any more" Well he went to school and came home very upset!! :?: I was a bit confused cuz he was looking forward to showing his friends. He said well I showed then and (childs name with held) said infront of all my friends that my teeth were still dirty and that my breath stinks :tantrum: I was ready for murder then. I talked to him and told him that we would have to pray for (rude kid). I went up to the school and spoke to the director of the school and she said she had met with the childs mother because of a similar incedent. Guess what mother said/did? Director said she glared at her as if she were lying and made the whole thing up. SAid she then said "BOYS WILL BE BOYS"
What the heck kind of responce is that? My son is in Pre K !!!! 5 years old!!!! This is way to young to get a complex about yourself!!! I was sooo angry! THis is a private school that I pay $500 a month for my son to attend and I feel more needs to be done.
Cowinky dinky - Director just called and said that they spoke to childs father and that parents of rude child are getting seperated. Is this an excuse? No. Said that they explained to him that this is a private school and if his behavior does not change he will not be accepted next enrrolment. Victory? No I feel bad for the child but I think his parents need to deal with his anger issues.
Sorry for the long post! :(

Hi Girlies ~ WOW, there is so much posting today, doesn't anyone have to work around here, LOL!;)
Welcome Deborah ~ This group is so nice and loves to chat. Your picture is very cute.:p
I will never be able to do any cartwheel and you certainly won't find me naked either, because everyone would need some big sunglasses!   I was laughing out loud Susan when I was reading your post and my daughter wanted to know what I was laughing at! You girls really do have lots of fun on here!
We had a nice day, but I don't like to shop very long, so it was nice to get back home. I am a homebody!;)

Hi ladies,
Just a quick post here tonight, I forgot to bring the days invoices home so I have some extra time this evening.. no big deal, I 'll just get them in the morning and post them tomorrow...nice to be my own boss.
Hello and welcome:welcome: :welcome2: Debbie, can we call you that or do you prefer Deborah? Or Fenix.. nice picture. What a terrible thing to happen to your little boy. I would be steaming too. There is no excuse for someone so young to be so rude, doesn't sound like he gets very good training at home. :nono: Why was your little guy in the hospital? Hope he is ok now.
Christina, hope you feel better. Not any fun being sick.
Ahhh Susan, how do you know what the lollipop on Mr. Jingles' tail tastes like? Eeewwwww... :barf:
You girls have been doing lots of posting.. I agree 100 is time to change.
My screen keeps flashing at me.. not sure what is going on.
At work today I had to repaint a sign. It was in the mid 50's but the wind was from the north and cold.. I had to stencil it upside down.. turned out pretty cool though. Tomorrow I'll have to paint the lettering. Had to change the sign to help the customers find the right building to come to.. We have two driveways, one for the wholesalers to use with access to the main greenhouses, and the next one for the retail side which is handicab accessible and more spacious. But there is always someone who will drive up the wrong driveway, block the loading area and then come in and complain about having to climb the little hill and step etc. I want to just slap them.. and tell them if they could read they would have come in the right way. I used to have patience with people, nowadays everybody bothers me... I am getting old and crotchidy. IF that is a word...:tantrum:
WEll, going to go ride my bike :ebike: and then call it a day and relax with hubby.
I hear you gals on the getting up during the night and not being able to get back to sleep. Last December I was up decorating my tree at 3 am.. couldn't sleep. Then went back to bed around 5 and the others were surprised to come down to a decorated tree.:tree: They didn't know I had done it... It's all part of aging ladies.
Ok. I'm out of here.. There is that little bunny again. He is running rampart around my yard. He looks the madhatter... going in all directions.
Night all.

Back again for such a quick moment. I forgot to say something.
Michelle, do you actually use Fitday? I started it yesterday but I am done with it already. It doesn't have any real foods on the list. Everything is from a frozen meal or product with a number etc. I wonder why it just don't list simple foods, real foods... what was the other place you mentioned?
Ok, gone again...have a good night all.

Ok- so I took the kids to Baker and Spice and bought some lovely little treats...then came home and was reminded of the expletive-deleted WEIGH-IN...I had forgotten and I ate some absolutely sinful carrot cake....and a bite of DS' flourless chocolate cake...and...um...a little bit of DH's german chocolate cake. I did leave him some of the carrot cake...not a total piggie here. I worked some of it off in the yard today. Getting ready for the cow poop.....I mean composted dairy manure. Ordered a unit, so all that hot, steamy goodness is destined for my driveway on Tuesday. Hopefully it will make it onto the beds before Christmas :yikes: Ginny - you're the expert....I have had the best results with this as opposed to bark chips or mushroom compost. My plants are looking great and I didn't have nearly the weed clean-up this spring as I usually do. Ginny - you are so right about the insomnia - for me it is very much due to aging...even though I am a "young" 40...hee hee. I find that cutting out sugar ( not today, obviously) and regular exercise help my sleep habits a bit. But then there's TOM, then all bets are off.
Deborah - what a cute little boy. My DS is 9.5 and my DD is 4.5. Sorry about what happened at school. Sounds like the school was right on it and that's a good thing. I have a high-energy boy and I always hated it when people would write him off with "Boys will be boys" inside I would just scream, "NOOOO" how's he supposed to learn how to communicate if people keep saying that to him? Hopefully the little bully's parents will catch a clue and put his needs before their own as they move through this tough time.
Susan - see you tomorrow...Let's hope this great weather holds. 100 posts sounds good to me. So far I'm not having trouble loading.....
Cristina - your weekend sounds lovely. I am hoping for James's health to perk up. I've been stuck at home with him and the errands are piling up....Tomorrow DH is on duty so I can break free for a bit....They are getting haircuts and going to as many comic books stores as they can stand because its Free Comic Book day ( it's a national thing, so yes, even you gals could get free comics where you are)
Michelle - well, I am a sahm, and I am stuck at home with a sick kid, so I have been on the computer more than usual. Good thing, since I forgot all about WEIGH-IN....aack. It's Friday, I can get it together before Monday, right? Thanks for the pm earlier... guess I have to watch my ps and qs around here. I apparently referred to a website that 3fc does not want promoted, so they edited my post. It's a little unnerving as the site I mentioned is a free one for members, but it is advertiser supported ( like this one) and I think the mods don't want this site to become a forum to advertise. It used to be a fee site, which is why I figured it was getting flagged by 3fc software; but they don't want it mentioned even though it is now free. Ok -- now I know.....
Jules - the cartwheel thing cracked me up..back when I was in TOPS everyone would show up to weigh-ins wearing the lightest possible clothing and, of course, we all went to the bathroom before weigh in and...and took off our shoes...and jewelry.....mmmm what else. Love those weigh ins
Spoke too soon about the son...we thought he was good to go for school today, but his temp spiked last night. So he was home again today. The throat culture came back negative, so that's a relief. The nurse said if this fever doesn't go away by Sunday that we'll need to bring him in. DH is going to take Leigh swimming tonight ( Family Fun Night at the Community Center) James and I will watch the American Inventor we taped last night...and that's all folks. I will stare at him alot and will that fever to go away...beware the power of Mommy
Have a great evening everyone.
Michelle

Ginny ~ I haven't started Fitday yet, but was going to tomorrow morning. So many people have PM'd me saying how much they love it, but they all customize most of their foods. What will you use now to track your calories? The other one I can't say on here because 3FC marks it out, but it is a good food tracker, it's just that the site is so slow!:dizzy:
Katy ~ I'm sorry your son is still sick; poor little guy.:( It's so hard when our kids are sick. I don't understand either about the other site, but I'll not mention it anymore.
I hope all of you have a wonderful evening!

Hi ladies...
Thought I would pop on for a few minutes before heading to the bedroom. Usually go in there around 9'ish-10 and watch some tv or read. I'm a little tired and try to stay away as long as possible so that when I fall asleep it will last, yeah right! Never knew it was an age thing just thought it was me. See Susan, you learn something new everyday. And I think I am at my quota for the week, lol!
KATY...well, I hope James' fever goes down soon. Wonder what's up with him. Does he have any other symptoms or just the fever? At least Leigh gets daddy/daughter time and mom gets mommy/son time. Free comic books, eh? You know, I haven't picked up a comic book in ages! Don't even know where a comic book store is around here. Well, you could have shared some of that cake missy. Carrot and choc. cake sound so good right now. I treated myself to some peach cobbler and man was it good!
GINNY...sorry about the dummies not reading the signs. I think some people just do what they want to do and have no regard for others. Don't understand it but I see it all the time, especially drivers! Bet that was a nice surprise though...waking up to see the tree all decorated.
SUSAN...for some reason I thought he was your boss, duh! he probably put a hex on the sunflower, shame on him, lol! So is that case over th GF being the arse? Your office sounds nice, and at least you will have more space.
MICHELLE...I don't work outside the home. Just after cleaning house, doing laundry and running errands I usually hit the computer. It's my link to the world, lol. Somedays are busier than others but for the most part, I am a bored housewife. Hubby works a lot, kids are grown (but still at home except one who is in the Army) and do their own thing. I have been looking for a job though, just haven't found the 'right' one for me. the ones I do apply never get a call. The ones I do get a call and interview...not sure what happens. Seriously thinking about volunteering again, I did that for years. But not sure where yet. Also, it may look like I am online but a lot of times when I know I will be back later...I don't bother signing off.
DEBORAH...what a pretty picture of you and your son, and yes, he is a cutie. Sorry to hear about the bully picking on him. Some kids are just so mean. But glad to hear the school did something about it. He's probably just acting out because of his home life but someone needs to do something about it now before it gets out of hand. You don't have to apologize for the long post, we all have long ones from time to time.
Well, ladies, just wanted to drop in and say Hi since I had a few minutes. I am actually getting a little sleepy, but know it won't last. I once went to sleep at 10 (was very tired) only to wake at 11! Woke up thinking I had had a good nights sleep and looked at the clock, yikes! Of course spent the next few hours watching a movie. Glad DH is a sound sleeper. he's gone to sleep with the overhead (fan light) on and it is bright. The man could sleep through anything. Of course if I actually do get in a deep sleep like that I could to. Anyway, see you ladies tomorrow some time.
Whatever you do in your little corner of the world this weekend...I hope you have a good one!

Evening -
Deborah - I am sorry about your son. I would be the same if any other child did that to my baby. I just want to protect her from any hurts that might come. Kids can be cruel, can't imagine at 5 though. Hope the parents wake up and realize their son needs a lot of love right now. Anyway, I am sorry that it upset you. Hope your family has a fun weekend :)
Michelle - where did you go shopping at? what did you have for lunch? see how I am living through you?? lol My salad wasn't enough for lunch, I was so hungry all day long. I ate an old Easter cookie - poor me. lol
Ginny - Old age?? I thought it was stress all week waking me up early. You think I might be shrinking too? I will probably be 3ft pretty soon. I will be looking up at Gaby next - lol......cute about the Christmas tree.
My older sister use to decorate our tree when growing up. She use to put the tinsle on one strand at a time and actually count out her doritos. She always sniffed at night and we shared a bedroom. I would tell her to stop sniffing, I couldn't sleep!! She said she had a cold and I said no one had a cold 365 days a year! We never have gotten along, I had to move out of the bedroom. Wow, you sure brought up a lot of memories......you charge for this counseling?? omg!!! another thought....she use to eat 1 halloween candy a day!! It took her months to eat her loot.....couldn't stand it, I started stealing it and she knew!! What a weird o......lol she is the reason I have so much - trouble with my weight!! I knew she was the root of all evil  lol jk
Katy! I will be there around 10:30. Show up when you can.I don't think Gaby will argue being at the park. It will be great to see you and meet little Leigh! What is baker and spice?? Have you ever been to Peanut Butter & Ellies? I have always wanted to go there.
k- have to get my walk in - chat later.....

Hi Cristi!!
Ya, we are just aging and we thought it was stress!! lol The case is about the GF wanting her claim for something over turned .I am not even sure but the insurance agency doesn't award it if there was displinary (sp) action going on and there was with her. she was horried. Our office assistant now is wonderful , fun and cheerful. The office is really nice. I told co worker the bathroom was the ladies , he would have to go out in the lobby for his or we can order him an out house. He said " I see where this is going"....OA and I are already paning on decorating it for girls.....lol freak him out.
Maybe just a babysitting job Cristi? Just a newborn or something, you might like that?
k- better get busy! Night :)

oops, forgot about what I had for dinner. I had a side salad & chicken sandwish from McDonalds. I met Gaby's sitter downtown there. Sitter takes classes at night.
Otherwise I think I did pretty good today - lets see how I do over the weekend. Weekends seem harder, less structure maybe?
See Katy & Leigh tomorrow and Rachel is all Sunday with parenting group and visitation. So , I think I will have a super weekend!
k- catch you all tomorrow. ohhhhh, Katy!! Can't believe you forgot the weigh in!! :)

Susan ~ We went up to Vancouver Mall to shop and we first ate lunch at Red Lobster. I did not be very good at lunch at all, and I've been paying for it all afternoon! I immediately got an upset stomach and still don't feel very good. I did do a 2 mile WATP tonight, and now my stomach is feeling even worse. I have been eating pretty healthy and so I think I need to just not go out for awhile. I have a pretty weak stomach to begin with, and I hate it! My favorite mall to go to is Washington Square, but I haven't been over there for quite a few months. Hope the weather holds out for you and Katy tomorrow, and have fun!;)
Cristina ~ Even though you stay at home, it's still A LOT of work! My girls are older also, and my oldest daughter is married and on her own, but I still love staying at home! My last two jobs were so bad and very abusive, that I'm so burned out and just enjoying my days right now.
I hope all of you girls have a wonderful night and get some good sleep.

Good morning ladies,
It is 8:15 a.m. I am working in the office this morning not going to the shop till 11, so I feel almost free... I got up at 7 and rode my bike 5 miles :ebike: already. Good to have it done but think I may ride another 5 :ebike: this evening if I am not to tired. Depends on how busy we get. The sun is shining :sunny: but we had a light frost last night.. the weather plays a big part in our business.
Susan and Katy, you get to meet, how lovely. You will have to tell us all about it. I have actually met 5 of the people I have originally met on line in person. It was like I had known them all my life, after talking with them so much on the computer. I know you will have a great time.
Christina, to bad you don't live near by. You could work with me. We love to hire women who only want part time jobs. Everyone I hire though becomes a life long friend. We now have a 70 yr. old lady who has been working for the family forever it seems. She worked for dh's parents when they had a mom and pop general country store, then she came to work with us when they closed. She has retired 3 times but keeps asking to come back. She only works 3 days a week. Another lady is my son's fiance's mom. She works with us 2 days, sometimes 3. She has another job as well. She just likes working with us. And last year we hired a young gal who was just getting married. She liked it so well, we ended up doing some of her flowers for the wedding, and even though she has a full time job somewhere else now, she is helping out on her day off and weekends. That is why I have to work 7 days a week. The others are all part time.. So Christina, you could fit right in any days you'd want. That is just the crew in the shop, on the wholesale side there is more. There is my dh, two of my sons and a full time employee, plus a delivery guy.
Michelle, I went back into fitday last night and this morning. I am going to use it. You have to tweak the food list, it won't be very accurate but will give a general idea anyway.. I am not really counting calories, I am doing more portion control, and just trying to eat healthy.
Well, need to go hop in the shower, well can't really hop in. the sides are to high, I have one of those air jet tubs. Very deep... but oh so nice... anyway heading for the shower. Will check back in later.
Oh, and girls I said the insomnia was part of aging. I didnt' say old age. We are not old.. we are just right for our age. :) But it is really a part of the aging process.
Ok, have a great day everyone.

Ginny--I use the word crotchety at work and get the strangest looks--my Nanny used it and I grew up hearing it. Sorry about your sign. Our trouble at the end of our lane is people dumping. Over the years there has been a toilet (which my then 14 year old son found amusing so he set it up by the side of the road and sat on it while waiting for the school bus), a sofa, golf clubs, a babby carriage along with other assorted trash and tires. SInce all the construction has begun we have to go down about every two weeks with our rubber gloves on to pick up trash.
Deborah--I agree that your son is so cute. My son got picked on alot in elemetary school. By middle school he had a core group of friends and the girls liked him--he did go through an angry stage and started standing up for himself around 11 or 12.
Katy--german chocolate cake reminds me of my dad--his bday was Dec 15, mine Dec 16 and my mom's Dec 21--at my Nanny's house (mom & dad divorced when I was 3 and he lived at my Nanny's but we all did things together there with my mom included) we had a joint b-day and since that is dad's fave that's what we had every year. My mom used to get another cake for us and my brother--she was always very creative and would splurge to buy a different bakery bought cake every year
Cristina--I am the one that sleeps sound and hubby has insomnia though the last couple of years I have been having a harder time falling asleep some nights and then have the waking up several times during the night.
Susan--I agree that weekends are harder--I don't have my water sitting next to me to remind me to drink it and there are those darn grazing days because your bored or stressed or whatever--I'm glad you have a friendly office assistant to counteract the grumpy old man with the psycho ex coworker girlfriend!!!
Michele-my hubby complains that he has to help so much around the house(especially when I was working the second job)--I told him I could quit and stay at home again--he had a clean house, all errands ran before he was home and a meal on the table--I agree it was hard work!!! I think I spent fromt he time he left for work to the time he got home doing something almost every minute. Unfortunately the kids are moved out and we only have the animals now.
Daughter came home for awhile to do a load of clothes (left a second for me to do later--it was so nice to actually see her and not just talk to her on the phone. She looks really thin. She says she has been doing the kick boxing class at school and working out in the gym. She's going to take next semester off--the divorce has taken it's toll on her concentration and she's not doing as well as she thought she would. She has just taken off her rings and started packing up pictures and presents from the ex and asked him to stop calling her and he has tried once or twice but she is not returning the calls. Hopefully the ex and his dad do not say anything smart on the hearing date (May 25) or hubby may lose his temper.

Ginny--wtg on the bike riding--our "helper" at work is a very sweet 75 year old retired lady that is still sharp and accurate--she does anything we need and I don't know what I'd do without her.
We must have been posting at the same time!!

Ugh, lost my post! Hate when that happens!
Michelle - Love WashSquare! It is close by where I live. If you ever make it over would love to meet up somethime! Never been to Red Lobster, hear it has good food. I think going out to eat is hard when you are trying to lose. I am sure you did fine though. Just stay away from buffets :) that would be torture. I would be in there even after the lights were turned off.
Jules - Cute about your daughter coming home to do laundry. My brothers use to do that after they moved out. Huge bags, took all day to wash. Rach is learning how to sign up time to get her laundry clean. We hope!! Just odd how she keeps asking for more clothes ,,,,,,:dizzy: I think I will ask her - sheesh.
Ginny- Hi, so motivated when I hear about your 5 miles! Good for you - wondering how long you have been doing the bike and the 5 miles?? Katy and I met over a year ago, just by chance and just long enough to say hello. We live a mile or so apart - lol- anyway it will be good to see her and get the girls together. I met Angie too back in 2000. She came down for a few days - always sweet and funny. I felt comfortable with her.I also met my fave internet person Brian. He was so special, so funny and a true inspiration. He was on our Yahoo board. He passed away 4 years ago - it is funny though but I can still feel his support - he was so positive.
Yikes....better get!! Hi Cristi, Fenix and Katy! Chat later on tonight.

Good morning ladies (it may be afternoon by the time I type this, lol. What can I say, I type slow and I go back and forth to try and make sure I didn't miss anything or anyone. Seems I always do though.)
GiNNY...eeerr, that's what I meant...a sign of aging, not old age. :o You know, I can't believe that I will be 47 years young in a week! Don't feel a day over 46. Actually, I don't feel that age at all, whatever it is supposed to feel like. I do remember growing up when my parents where in their lat 30's thinking, man they are old! And if I were closer to you, I would definitely take you up on the offer of the job! WTG on the :ebike: :bravo: How long does it take you to do 5 miles on the bike? I have one (exercise bike) but never pay attention to the miles or calories burned, etc. I just pay attention to the time. I can only do 15 mns. at a time because the seat is horrible.
SUSAN...guess I missed that you and Katy were getting together. (See, no matter how many times I go back and forth I always miss something) I hope the weather is perfect and you guys have a nice day/get together. Hope you have a nice day with Rachel also. Give her lots of hugs from me! I would love a babysitting job! Even applied at a couple of preschools. Thought about doing daycare at home, but with the dog it's not a good idea. Think I am I going to just volunteer a couple of day sa week somewhere, just gotta figure out where. The hospitals are too far so I'm looking maybe at the Red Cross, or another one...can't remember the name of it, United something. Funny about your sister. But hey, I used to put garland on the tree one at a time, lol! Never counted my doritos but apparently had the sniffles when I worked. Guess I never realized it until a co-worker asked me if I had a cold and I said no, why. She told me I had been doing that for some time. Didn't even realize it. I don't get along with my sisters either. Did when we were younger, the middle one. The oldest, not so much.
JULES...funny about your son and the toilet! I've seen people actually plant flowers in a toilet and a bathtub and put them in the front yard! (((((HUGS))))) to your DD. I feel for her. I've never gone through a divorce and can only imagine the hurt she must be feeling. Glad though that she has her family by her side.
MICHELLE...I've worked through the years too but I loved it. That's why I hate that I cant get a job now. :( I like that I can stay at home but really do get bored. When the kids were younger I was always busy. They still keep be busy sometimes, but not enough to warrant me to stay home full time. Just have to find things to do. But good for you for not staying with an abusive job, I wouldn't either.
Hi KATY & DEBORAH
Going to go take a look at a couple of threads (exercise & the general thread) then take off and get some done around the house. And get a walk in on the :tread: I set my alarm for 6 am even though V had to work. I was going to go for my 3 mile trek around the neighborhood but it was raining :( And it's still raining. :rain: So, after I get a load of laundry started and the house cleaned I think I will curl up on the couch and finish Marley & Me and then start one of the new books. I'll try to be back later. Have a GREAT day Ladies!

Hiya Susan!
You know, I have never met anyone in person that I have met online. But I hope to be changing that soon! Still planning on visiting you ladies in Sept. Since things have change though and school starts then, may make it the beginning of Oct. Think there was some mention of Oct but can't remember and can't go look because the thread is no longer there, cough, cough. So you and KATY can let me know which is better for you two since you guys have young ones in school. I don't know what happens the first month of school....been so long since mine where in. Sorry you lost your post. I so hate when that happens.
Have a nice, fun day!

Hi Cristi.....
You can stay at my place when you visit, if you want. You will have to vy (is that a word?? lol) for the bathroom with me ,Gaby and Mr Jingles though. Can have the older girls stay with their dad. Just an idea. Late Sept/Oct is so nice here! Love the Indian Summers in Oregon. Maybe take a ride up to Seattle, so pretty up there too.
Anyway. I am so distracted right now. Got home from the park (Katy - we stayed an HOUR after you left! lol Gaby didn't want to leave - maybe she will take a nap now!) and my mother (my mom & him are divorced) had called saying my younger sister told her that my father is in ICU with heart and kidney failure.....
So, why am I sitting here and not storming the hospital?? Because dad doesn't want anyone to know. Only my younger sister (33)and younger (22) half sister know. Us 4 older ones get to be kept in the dark.
My sister went to the hospital and will call me to say how he is doing. Just one thing after another - ugh.
Chat more later. Katy is a very sweet person, enjoyed my time with her!! The only good thing so far this weekend.....taking Becky to the mall.

Aww, Susan - you're so sweet...we had a great time. Sorry Leigh pooped out so early, that's not like her and I am watching her like a hawk for signs of illness..so far she just seems tired. Next time we'll stay longer. Gaby is an absolute sweetheart and I'm glad the girls hit it off. I sure hope you get some good news about your dad. BTW, your dad sounds like mine. He had his gall bladder removed over the holidays and didn't tell me until 3 months later. 'Course I knew because no one in my family keeps any secret ever..
Cristina - late Sept/ Oct works for me. It's between some family birthdays and after the kids are settled into school. That's weird about all the "vanishing" threads.....bit of a drastic response, but oh well.
Ginny - too bad I don't live closer to you...part time work in a nursery would be a dream for me...that or a yarn shop...or a fabric shop...but NOT Baker and Spice - ugh..still recoiling in horror from the scale this a.m. I am the only person I know that is really excited by the prospect of a unit of composted cow poop (excuse me- dairy manure) being dumped in my driveway. I'm calling it my early birthday present.
Susan- hang in there...you get to see Rachel tomorrow! Hope all goes well.....

I don't know Katy maybe we should put a Vegas trip back in for discussion?? If you are thinking that "dairy manure" is an exciting present you might be in need for some bright lights and the vegas strip!!! lol
Leigh is very cute. After you left Gaby got on the tire swing and said "where is my friend?" So sweet. I just spent my time watching her play and I did call R after a week of not talking. He is so funny because he picks up like there has been no gap in conversation. I don't think I could find a man that loved me as much as he does. Too bad he is so darn laid back and in a different time zone. lol
Eating steamed broccoli, low fat cottage cheese, and albacore tuna for lunch. I put some salsa in the cottage cheese, gives it some flavor. Can't wait for weigh in day!!! Probably because I know I have lost already. So determined this time!!! I have to be because I have no "big" clothes to wear:D
Anyway, Gaby fell asleep , Becks at the mall and I am just waiting for a message on my father.
Hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday!

Hi ladies, back for a few minutes.
Okay, so am I the only one? I had been posting on the *other* thread for so long I went to that one, UGH! Funny, it's like we never existed...life definitely went on without us at the click of a button.
KATY...I too thought it a drastic response...the vanishing threads. But as always...someone else made up our minds for us before we even had a chance to do so or to speak for ourselves because it is within her right, so she said. Anyway...hoping little Leigh doesn't come down with anything. Bet the girls had fun together. You might have the stinkiest drive way, but I bet you have the greenest yard on the block! Someone around here had some on their lawn. A couple of days ago the wind was blowing the smell this way, pu!
SUSAN...hugs to you! Hope you hear something soon and it's all good. I didn't realize you had so many siblings. For some reason thought it was just you and your sis. Gaby sounded so cute, where's my friend. Glad you heard from R and glad you get to see RAchel tomorrow.
Okay, I better get going. Just wanted to jump on for a few minutes while the potatoes are cooking. Just making some potato salad and sloppy joes. See you ladies!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Ginny ~ You have so much energy...please give me some! Our sun is about gone; it's getting darker out like it's going to rain.
Jules ~ My husband sometimes gets grumpy about something, but then he says he likes me being home, because the house is always picked up, unlike if I was working all week and not getting to anything until the weekend. Now we're able to go on the weekend if we feel like it.
Cristina ~ I did have a job I loved at the bank, and the bank was bought out and our department was one that was being moved back to the midwest, so I had to find another job, and that's where the last two came into place, that I absolutely hated and they were both abusive to their employees. The very last one I was at, they lost 14 people within a two month period.
Susan ~ I love the Wash Square area...very pretty over there. You eat so healthy, you make me feel guilty. I hope your dad will be okay, and I don't understand how it's okay for a couple kids to know, but none of the others. I will keep you and him in my prayers.
Katy ~ I hope your daughter doesn't get the illness that your son has had. I think it's so neat that you and Susan were able to meet up and let your daughters get acquainted.
I haven't had a great day and been resting most of the day. I've had a headache and I think some allergy problems, but it's probably from some stress in my life right now. I hope all of you have a good evening.

Aaaahhh, there's nothing on the tv!
SUSAN...meant to ask if you had heard from Angie. Would be a shame if you don't especially since you ladies have been friends for 6 years. Also, thank you for the invite and I would love to. But...(there's always a but in there isn't there, lol?) I think DD is wanting to come with me and I wouldn't want to impose on you and the girls. But, if she doesn't then I would love to! You are a sweetie!
MICHELLE...I too wish I could eat good like Susan does. Well, minus the hot dogs and slurpees, lol! Red Lobster is my hubby's favorite place! I don't mind it if we haven't been in a awhile and then it seems really good. But given my choice, I will take Olive Garden over anything. Hope you aren't coming down with anything. It's good to rest. With the weather we are having, it has made me lazy and sleepy. Hoping tomorrow the sun is shining so I can get out and do that yard work. :sunny:
Hey...is anyone's posts being or been edited? I just noticed my last post the part to Katy has been edited. Are we being watched every minute now? This is getting ridiculous. All I said was that I was told to stay here in the Kindergarten thread or go somwhere else and start my own little world. Of course I did mentione the site that the person told me to go to. Maybe that was it. Never heard of the site until the someone mentioned it. Guess we just have to watch our p's and q's eh?
Well, once again I am outta here ladies. See ya tomorrow

Good evening ladies,
Hope I can remember everything I want to say.:blah:
Michelle, I don't really have all that much energy, it's just that at this time of the year, we have so much to do, it has to be done, so we just push ourselves to do it... I guess we're just used to it after all this time. Hubby started the business 2 yrs before we got married, and I went into it full time when youngest was 3.
Susan and Katy, glad you two had a good time at the park. Did you say you only live about a mile apart.. gee if I were you guys I'd get together for a walk:running: :cofdate:  or something every day or so.. heck you're practically neighbors. Speaking of neighbors, remember a few weeks ago when my neighbor had the small grass fire and I told you how so many firetrucks came out etc.. well today, we are at work and we hear sirens.. then they are racing down our road. I can see my house from work and the neighbors, and 3 fire trucks, an ambulance and a police car plus a few volunteer's cars are all gathered between our houses, lights flashing... now I know we aren't home, our neighbors on the other side aren't home and the ones across the street are gone also.. so I'm wondering who the ambulance could be for.. so I hop in my car and drive home, there is a truck in my driveway so I have to go around him... can't see a thing. Go into my house, look thru the windows, still can't see anything. Go back to work, have to squeeze pass the police car and a firetruck to even get out of my driveway. Still can't see anything, no smoke, fire nothing.. well within half an hour they are all gone. So I go back home to get my mail... ahemm.... well I did.. anyway I walk to my neighbors barn.. his door is ripped off and charred on one side. Nothing else is burned, and of course everything is all wet. He has been gone up north since Friday..so it's like how did the door catch on fire.. so his wife comes home a couple hours later. I get home from work and I call her up.. telling her how her house has all this company while she isnt' even at home.. she says what am I talking about. I tell her and she says oh she found a fire dept. note on her front door, but she didn't read it just thought it was an advertisement... I said didn't you see your barn door is charred and ripped off and laying in your driveway... she parked right next to it.. and never even saw it... Now that is something.
Ok, I got off the subject here. But thought that was rather strange.
Christina, first of all, thank you so much,:thanks:  you are so sweet, I got your card today. That was so thoughtful of you...
Not sure who asked but I got my bike:ebike: for my birthday end of Feb. I started to ride it soon after and have been riding it ever since. It takes me 30 minutes to ride 5 miles.. it's usually 5.3 or so, and 45 minutes to go 7-8 miles.. it depends on the program I am in and the level of difficulty. On the easy ones now I can get in more miles in less time.. but I like to switch off levels...
Susan, sorry about your dad. Hope all turns out well. You come from a big family, I do too. I am the youngest of 10. I have already lost 2 sisters and 2 brothers. One of the girls died as an infant so never knew her. I lost my oldest sister and my mom both in 1997, a month apart. After my sister died in April, my mom had been ailing and decided she didnt' want to live alone anymore, so she moved in with me. We only had a short time together, she ended up in the hospital and never came back. She had cancer, my sister had had a stroke. IT's been 9 years already, and I still get the urge to call my mom and talk to her.:callme: . I get along really well with the sister closest to me , and ok with two other ones.. there is only one that I am not close to at all. She has not been sisterly to me at all especially since my mom died. I have no idea why she acts like she does, and my dh says if I am looking for a logical answer to her action, I'll never find one. My brother lives in Calif. and we don't talk much. But are ok with each other.
Boy don't get me started... Michelle I see you are on line right now too. To bad we can't just go in and chat..:gossip: I know there is a chat room here, but does anyone ever use it..? I went in once but no one was there..
Katy, boy girl, you sure are easy to please... if a load of cow poop gets you this excited and happy, must be really easy to buy gifts for... I'm not sure I want to know what your dh gives you for special occasions...
Well, I guess I'll start heading upstairs, have to write in my journal:write: and get ready for bed. Only work noon to 5 tomorrow so I am going to church. I actually have my car back. And son even filled it with gas before he returned it.
You all have a good night. I'll check in tomorrow.

Cristina ~ My daughter's favorite restaurant is Olive Garden, and whenever she can, she tries to get us to go there. Is is very good, but oh so fattening!:dizzy:
Ginny ~ Your posts are always so newsy! I can't believe that about your neighbor! It doesn't even sound like she was at all a bit concerned! I would have been very nervous to look up the road and see all the rescue vehicles by my house! My husband always says I'm an ambulance chaser!;)

Michelle--Hubby and I spend weekends doing alot around the house and now that spring is here the woods are trying to take over the space around the house that we cleared. We do have a fenced in area that we have been trying to grow grass and do have some mixed in with the weeds. The worst is the acorrns and leaves. We actually have to rake every time the wind blows hard. I can't complain too much because it is so peaceful. The window is open beside me and I am drinking coffee and listening to the birds. We have an owl that I have seen a few times--We have a gate at the end of the driveway and it was sitting on the post right where I have to open the gate. I sat there for a minute looking at it-it's huge and then wondered what it would do when I got out but when I did it just flew off. There is a big woodpecker too and some doves along with a whole lot of others. We got one of the Eastern Bird Guides to try and figure what they all are.
Ginny--I went in the chat too a couple of times but there was never anyone there. I can't believe your neighbor parked next to a charred door and didn't notice it.....
Susan- I hope your dad is better. My Dad is closer with three of the five step-siblings than he is with my brother or me. I told my husband if something happenned to me--it would be mom, my brother, hubby and kids and all my husbands relatives!! When pap was doing bad there were over 20 of us in the waiting room and anytime we went down there was always somebody there. With all that good eating and walking you'll be having to buy smaller clothes in no time!!
Katy--What is your latest knitting project?? I am glad you and Susan got a chance to get together--sounds like Michelle lives close too.
Cristina--I didn't realize that this site was being edited.... DH and I watched "That Thing that you Do" last night--It was cute. He watches Speedvision, Discovery and the History channel mostly. The only series he likes right now on tv besides "Build or Bust", "American Thunder", "the OCC show" is Prison Break. He will watch CSI and Cold Case with me. Cold Case is on Sunday nights and I stay up to watch Grey's Anatomy at 10:00 but he goes to bed.
Deborah--Hi wherever you are!!
Ceara--feel free to pop down anytime!!

Good Sunday morning ladies,
Ceara:wave: , nice of you to pop in. And yes, where is Deborah? It is a bright sunny:sunny: day today, we had a good day at work yesterday, busy and profitable. Hoping today will be the same.
I am off to church in a little bit:angel: . Haven't gone much this past year so far, son had car so long I was sort of home bound. But that will change now.
Jules, I hear you on the birds. It can be so relaxing to sit and listen to the birds. When I was a kid, my gf and I would lay back on the grass outside and put on music and watch the birds fly around in the sky. It was almost like they were dancing to the music. Very relaxing and therapeutic. We have lots of birds around here too. My dh has even seen an osprey over the pond. When there were fish in the pond, kingfishers would sit on the wires over the pond and wait for their supper.
I didn't get my extra ride in last night. I went to town with dh instead. But I am still down to my lowest so far this morning.:goodscale I weigh everyday, like to keep tabs on my progress. Like to know if I need to buckle down more or if I am doing ok.
Well better get ready to go in a bit so will check in after church.

Good Morning!!
You are a bunch of sad TROOPS! Ceara has to remind us we are at 100?? hehe
Ok, at ease. I know some of you (ok, me) can't count up that high. I don't think we will ever advance to 1st grade....hahahahhah:dizzy:
Anyway, I am not going to do it because I have a lame MAC and it won't let me do fonts/sizes or smilies. So, Cristi??? Jules?? Stop playing with your play doh and change the thread to #2??? lol
Back in a bit!!!! :)
