I just finished the old novel North and South. It was huge book, and kept me busy for awhile. Now I'm looking for something more light, for summer reading.
I am reading Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge. It's the womens book that followed the men's version Wild at Heart by John Eldredge. Both books are wonderful....I loved Wild at Heart. One line in the book really stood out for me. "Everyone waits to be loved in return....today love someone first."
Captivating is harder for me to read I think because it's about women and I can related to every story, every example.

I just finished "Memoirs of a Geisha" -- not really light reading, but very, very good. My friend loaned me Laurel K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series...not quite sure what I think of it yet, don't know if it's my cuppa tea. Tim started me on Arthur Haley's "Hotel" -- older book, but pretty good so far. If you are looking for something light, and like fantasy, Neil Gaiman's "Stardust" is lovely. I love Gaiman...just finished "Anansi Boys" and that was great, too, but kinda weird.
Does having an audible on your MP3 count? It keeps me moving. I am listening to "Cell" by Stephen King. If I have to sit & read it is to my book of "How to loose your Mummy Tummy" as I have to do the exercises while I read
Don't Look Down by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer. Romantic adventure book where Crusie (great romance author) wrote all the female perspective and Mayer (Action adventure writer) wrote all the make perspective.
Alex - love the quote! I once read a book, followed by the man's point of view. It was "Evergreen" and the man's view was "The Golden Cup" Very interesting to read the man's perspective. And how clever of the auther to find a way to make money on the same story, lol.
Mary Kate - I read Hotel years ago - it rocked! Haven't tried Gaiman yet. Thanks for the tip.
Robin - I'm going to have an iPod when my DD gets back home, in about 10 days, but I don't think I can't listen to books on tape with one of those. She's getting a the brand new version, so I'll have her's, which holds about 1000 songs.
Steph - some of us here have read Jennifer Cruise, and think her books are funny. Pretty cool to team up and do both the female/male versions. I had no idea that was so common now. Thanks for the ideas.
I wish John Grisham or Sue Grafton would come out with a new one!
Chill Factor by Sandra Brown and don't laugh I got two books from the library....Susan Powter's "Stop the Insanity" and the Body for Life book Angie was talking about. Unless I get a Bow flex or a Total gym or go to Golds I don't think I can actually do the program though.
My book is signed by Porter Freeman,,,whom I love. I know where my book is I think its time I pull it out and do some organizing of my life. Tanner's play is done,,,what a success.
