I know someone found the Red Plan info somewhere before, but I can't remember where. I know no one wants to give it away for free and I do understand that. I have paid for LAWL for myself and it worked great. Now DH wants to do it, but we can't pay for both of us right now.

I did look on Ebay for it, but didn't see any. I was on Gold to begin with and have now been on Blue and moved to stabilization, so I don't know what the red portions are to help him out.

Anyone know where I can find it??

Thanks!

Sheila

Sheila, I don't have a spare red book, but here is the rule

Meats, you get 2 more oz of all the meat measured in oz.
EX- beef, 6oz raw; chicken 8 oz raw

Peanut butter- 3 tbsp is 1 protein
Egg-3 egg=1 protein
2soy burgers or 2 soy hot dogs =1 protein
Cheese 4 oz=1 protein
Beans=2 cups as 1 Protein
Ricotta=5 oz as 1 protein

I think everything else stays the same, but I may be wrong. I'm thinking only the proteins differ, though.

Good luck with your Dh and keep us posted on his progress, too!

Any other proteins you need amounts for? Those are the ones I use the most, but I'd be glad to look up stuff he may eat that I don't.

You don't add anything... (sorry). I was hoping you would get something extra, too. I guess they want to sell their Lites.

But if you're not doing the Lites, just think of it as extra weight lost!

Actually if you don't do the lites-you move up to Red plus with no lites

2 1/2P, 4S, 4F, 4V, 2D, 1fat

Course not, that would cost them the thousands of dollars we all spend on bars!!! :)

I asked this ? elsewhere, but maybe someone on this thread knows why on the red plan, they tell me not to eat vegetarian proteins and meat proteins on the same day? Its absurd considering the LA Lites are soy protein...I am so confused. I CANNOT eat 20 oz. of meat in a day. BLECH!

I very often have peanut butter on toast in the morni ng or a veggie burger on a 4" wheat pita (this has become my favorite).

I was told not to mix my protein at any one meal - they didn't like it when I made a bbq chicken salad and used 1/2 Protein of chicken and 1/2 protein of black beans - but I've never been told not in the same day.

I was told early on not to mix proteins.

I have been mixing dairies (4 oz n/f yogurt every morning; 1 oz lite cheese every evening) since the beginning. Finally, one of the counselors told me the other day "You're not supposed to do that." I then said, "Well, I have been doing this for 13 weeks, and in 13 weeks, I have lost 52 lbs. I don't think I'll be changing anything." She said, "Oh, I understand, I just wanted you to be aware that we don't recommend it."

I have never heard that you cannot mix meat proteins and veg proteins in the same day either. Sounds like your COD has a case of the "the stupids".

Erin- you are gonna be a commercial one day.

I have heard that about veg and reg proteins, but I don't care. I do limit the beans I use for protein b/c of the starch, but I eat however much cheese, eggs, or pb I want in a day.

My center says the same thing. Like I get 2 1/2 proteins so I would mix an egg with my tuna. They said to not mix them. I never really understood why, but...

Hey, how's stabilization going? :)

New counselor today, she said sure, eat different proteins, just not at same meal. I am so discouraged, working hard and so little movement, only 1/2# this week after a marathon volleyball tourney last weekend with 10hrs driving, 14hrs watching and scrawny salty salads w/ teeny amounts of chicken. I gained 1 1/2#. So, I came back strong, 6 1/2 hours of workouts, POP, and a measly 1/2# loss.. I would love a beer and pizza. Today I begin week 3 at -8. And i'm complaining....i must have pms.

Hey Deets! Thanks for asking. It is going great. I will be honest and say I have not been keeping my diary since week one of stabilization, but for the most part, I am always on plan. This past weekend I was bad and had Waffle House, which I have not had since at least last Nov/Dec.

BUT, I did lose 1-2 lbs more when I moved to stabilization so I met my true goal of 133. Even with eating what I did last weekend, I never go over 134. something and that is weighing mid day, so I feel pretty lucky!!! I just hit week 4 of stab and can add another fruit. I have a hard enough time getting in 3, don't know ho win the world I will do 4!

But thanks for asking. It is nice to feel that I don't have to be so strict, but I also know I can't do it all the time either!

Everything going well with your maintenance? I am sure it is nice then to get more of a variety of foods!
