Default Need quick advice on what to do with a food gift!!

I just received a gift of some home baked goods from a guy in the office for Administrative Professionals week, and they look GOOOOOD, but definitely not on my plan.

What do I do with them without him knowing I didn't eat them?? I don't want to be impolite!

eat one, whilst sharing them with your colleagues! One won't break the calorie budget, and you'll be able to honestly tell them they were good and everyone else is happy too!

I agree with 2frustrated ... and either leave the leftovers at work or throw them outside for the squirrels. I wouldn't be able to let them enter my home or I would eat them all.

i definately love the idea of having one and sharing the rest. he was very thoughtful to bring you home baked goods. and it would be very selfish to not share them with others. besides...this "IS" a lifestyle change. not a strict diet where you can't have any sweets ever ever again. so enjoy one and get rid of the others!!!!

Well, I got rid of them, and didn't have a single one! My boyfriend is headed out of town on business, so I gave them to him.

Come to find out, I couldnt have eaten them anyway...they were german chocolate brownies, and I am allergic to coconut!! The diet gods must have been smiling on me! LOL

I think it was really terrific for you to figure out a strategy even before you knew that you would be allergic to the home-baked goodies. Way to go, and keep it up!
