Good morning ladies,

Wow we sure go thru the threads quickly don't we? Love having all the posts to read. It's like reading a novel every day, with all the different things happening in everyone's lives.

Susan, I am glad Rachel is getting some much needed help..how long has she been acting like this? Has she always been a problem child or is it somethig that came on recently? Her friends mom sounds like she needs a good shaking.. letting her daughter stay out of school at such a young age and all. Do you not have truant officers in your area?

Marti, I love you adavar. And that tree sure was tall.

Jane, knees can be a real pain when they don't work right. I was knocked down in a shoe store unto a brick floor when I was 16 knocking my knee cap off. Since then I had problems with it going off all the time..they thought at one time I had water on the knee so they went to remove it, turned out it was blood from all the injuries it had sustained. I ended up having surgery on it when I was 27. When my ds#3 was only 10 days old I went to the closet to get some shoes, don't know what happened, but woke up on the floor with my knee cap dislocated and it wouldn't go back. Walked like Chester on Gunsmoke for 6 months then had surgery. After surgery it was locked for another 6 months so I was still Chester till I stepped in a whole in the dark in my front yard and bent it when I fell. Saved myself another surgery and lots of money.. but I wouldn't advise it.. Anyway, hope your knee feels better soon, cortison shots are good. Had a couple of them in my shoulder and back. They do help.

Ellen, your art work really is so neat.. do you think you could find me an adavar to use.. I like pansies but I am getting tired of it.. I like beagles, and all animals, dolls, flowers... would you see what you can find... pretty please and thank you...

Michelle, your girls are really pretty. I bet they look just like you.

Well, Mr. scale was good to me this morning. I am down another pound. I am not changing my trackor down below until I stay at this number for a few days.. I rode my bike for 30 min. last night, I cut back from 45, just don't have as much time as I used too. I'll go back to longer when the season is over. But at least I know it's doing me some good.

Angie, you are quite the seamstress. Those kids are darn lucky to have you. You just keep going like the ever ready bunny with all those customs. You deserve a rest when this production is over. I hope you get one.

I wonder how Connie is doing? And if Mindee is getting everything moved ok.

Hello to everyone else, I don't have time to do any more and I forgot what else I just read. So I better get ready to head out the door for work. It's still cold here, we had frost last night.. even had to cover my pansy display as it is outdoors. But the sun is shining so hopefully it will warm up a little more than yesterday.

Have a good one ladies, catch you this evening.

Ginny

Good morning!

Ellen, I love your artwork! It's always so cheery!

Susan, every child is so worth fighting for and I'm glad Rachel is getting the help she needs. Did you adopt her?

Jane and Marti-I actually called my sister for her crabcake recipe and then fudged it as my sister doesn't measure anything! She uses mayo (I used light), a little mustard (just for coloring) one egg per can of crabmeat you are using, and italian breadcrumbs. Can also add Old Bay if you chose. I added just a little bit, but could have added more. She said to use a good bit of mayo as you want the mixture "wet" and as I didn't have italian breadcrumbs, I mixed italian seasoning with the plain ones. The breadcrumbs are to hold the cake together. I would imagine that you can bake or broil them but I used my skillet and a little olive oil.

No weigh in for me this week as it is that TOTM. I tend to weigh heavier during those days, probably due to water. And speaking of water, what is the secret to drinking it? I hate it but know I need to drink it. I drink alot of peach flavored diet Snapple (yum!) and the occasional diet Pepsi.

Hope you are all having a good Wednesday!

Hi Ladies...sorry I've been MIA for so long :(

After my surgery, it hurt to type much, and now it's been 2 1/2 months and I still hurt as bad or worse than I did before the surgery. I was so scared about the stupid operation, and put it off for so long before I finally made myself do it -- and now I feel like I played my trump card and still lost the game. It's very discouraging. I'm now back to work 6 hour days, and in 2 weeks will be back to my full time schedule, but the dr. put a restriction of a 15 minute break between every single call -- which my supervisor frowned and rolled her eyes at, basically not gonna fly. So they have me helping in a training class for now, a minimum of typing, but not sure what they will do with me when the class ends. I hope I can still do my regular job. Dr. gave me a new medicine specifically for nerve pain, and it seems to be helping to keep things tolerable.

Been very depressed, and the stupid ticker is going the wrong way. Just wasn't focused, wasn't making it consistently to my WW meetings, not journalling, not really measuring food -- so trying to make a fresh start, get back on track. It's eye opening to measure breakfast cereal again and say, "oh...so THAT'S what one serving is supposed to look like!" LOL

I kept trying to read here and catch up, but I never get through all the posts, and never write anything, and the next time I log on there are even more I missed! So, just like with WW, I will try to get back on track with the board right from where I am.

We went to Disneyland for Spring Break -- ridiculous crowds, but had a blast anyway.

Susan, (((hugs))) hope things get better w/Rach very soon, that this new treatment place will be good, and a positive experience for her.

Marti -- that is a really tall tree! Our neighbors had a huge evergreen of some kind that the took down a couple of years ago. Hated to see such a stately old tree come down, but it swayed like crazy in storms, and if it came down our direction it would have demolished our roof.

Jane, owie for your poor knee! :stress: And you are too busy with all that gardening to be slowed down by a bum knee. Hope it feels better very soon :)

Ellen, loved the pics of all your kitties -- they are lucky to have such a devoted kitty-mom. You've probably been nominated for sainthood in the homeless cat community ;)

Cristina, sounds like the house showing has been extremely frustrating! I would be very upset to find doors left open, or to think the lookie-loos had come and gone, only to have them barge in on my dinner. :censored:

Angie -- Jafar, sultan, genie, turbans? Sounds like...Aladdin??? :belly: When you were at Disneyland did you get a chance to see the Aladdin stage show in California Adventure? It's wonderful!

Ginny, lilacs are my favorite :D I've seen light purple, dark purple, and white, but never yellow! I'll have to start looking on line to see if I can find a picture. Lilacs just don't thrive here -- our spring season is too short, and it gets too hot too fast.

Welcome to the new ladies -- you probably aren't even all that new anymore, just new since I've posted :)

OK, that's it, can't type anymore.

Hugs,
Mary Kate

Good Afternoon Ladies--

Waking up to a cloudy hazy day! No rain yet....but it'll get here.

Ginny--Congrats on the pound gone. I believe I'll try and buy a new scale this weekend. I'm hoping for some kind of loss..........

Susan--My thoughts are with Rach, for getting on the right track and having someone help her through what must be a difficult time for her as well. She is definately worth fighting for! You are such a good mom!!

MaryKate--So glad to see you! I'm sorry that you're still in pain. That sure doesn't seem normal. What does the doctor say about you still being in pain? You can't take medication forever...Hugs:hug:  Thank you for my postcard from DL!! Glad you got to have a vacation and forget about your pain!

Michelle--19 & 17....wow, so beautiful. Make sure you're resting and healing yourself!

Ellen--I'm sorry that your computer is causing you so much trouble. Is it an old computer??

Good afternoon to everyone else.

I have some thing to do so I better get moving.

Hugs to all!

Hello ladies...

Well, did the wally world thing. Glad I didn't have much to get. REally am getting to where I hate going there. Came home and put things away and then headed off to look for a dress. Was interrupted by Jason while in the dressing room...his car was acting up again after they just supposedly fixed it. So had to go pick him up and no dress yet. Will go try and find one tomorrow, and a gift while I'm at it.

MARYKATE...so sorry to hear about your arm still hurting. I've heard from a few people who had the same surgery and it being the same afterward.  Glad you guys at least had a nice time at Disneyland!

Anyway, that's about all I have.

Have a good day!

I hate WalMart Cristi that is enough to get anyone down. Do you have a Kmart? lol

ugh, annoyed. Co worker waves to his girlfriend outside my window because she came to pick him up. Short story for those who don't know...she use to be our assistant and she was basically forced to leave because she was a total pain. Co worker though has a live in relationship with her. He is so stupid. She wants her claim overturned and we are going to court next month. She can't come on the property. Thorn in my side since day one. So, co worker starts telling me he is going out to lunch with her and it is like.............I don't want to hear her name. He is such a jerk.

Ellen - What kind of computer do you have??

Kim - What an odd question about adoption. She isn't adopted, none of my children are.

Kate {{{HUGS}}} great to see you posting!

Michelle - agree - beautiful daughters!

ok, I am getting to work.....just wanted to say hello.

Susan, I'm sorry :o

When I read this yesterday "She obviously has no coping skills and I don't blame her because she wasn't taught that by her parents." I just got the impression that maybe she was adopted when you said by "her parents" I guess as opposed to you and your DH. I think the only reason I read it the way I did was because my kids are adopted. I didn't want you think I had pulled that out of the blue just because Rach was going through a tough time right now...that is true of alot of kids, adopted or not.

Have I pulled my foot out of my mouth?

Kim -
It's ok, it just struck me as odd. It makes sense though reading what you just wrote. I think our seperation was a turning point for her and how we indulge as her parents. We haven't set the boundaries and haven't been consistant in much of anything. blah - blah.....have to go to counseling this afternoon.
woo hoo just heard co worker might retire later this year!!!!! omg- there is a God....hehe.....please, get him out of my hair!!!

gotta go.....

Hi Susan ~ You have so much going on in your life right now, how do you possibly keep up? I think I would run away, just kidding. You need to just make some time for yourself! I really feel sorry for you with the problems right now, and I don't even know how I would handle them, but you sure are doing a good job...good mommy!

Good evening ladies,

Marti, wouldn't it be nice if we didn't need money, that if we worked it was just because we really wanted too.. ahhh.. we can dream anyway.

Susan, of course Rachel is worth fighting for.. all children are... I am glad she is getting help, heaven knows you have been a good mom, you have so much patience... I'm sure it will all work out.. remember God only gives us as much as we can handle.. you are both in my prayers.

MaryKate, sorry to hear you are still in pain. I probably read it before, but what did you have surgery for?

Lakegirl, I too don't care much about drinking a lot of water. But I have found Crystal light to go. It is a small packet of dry mix you add it to a 16 ounce bottle of water and shake. It is 0 calories, 0 fat, 0 sugar 0 everything, but it is really tasty. I love the peachtea and lemonade and orange, there is also raspberry. There may even be other flavors that is all I have tried though. You have to watch the packages though, make sure you get the to go ones with 0 everything.

Katy, can't wait to hear about your expensive feetsies..

Ellen, you poor thing. You sure have a lot of trouble with your computer. why don't you treat yourself to a new one?

Michelle, hope you are feeling better.

It was cold but sunny today. I didn't have many customers but I liked the kind I had. One lady in particular knew exactly what she wanted and she was very decisive. That makes for a good fast and easy sale. Some people come in and have no clue what they want and after you spend lots of time with them, giving them suggestions, asking guestions trying to get an idea what they need, showing them everything you have, they end up saying they can't decide and leave without buying anything or maybe just one little plant. GRRRR

I'm having the grandkids tomorrow after work. I won't be able to read the posts till late, knowing you gals it will probably be a new thread by then... we sure go thru them fast.

Well, I rode my bike already and took my shower so think I'll go sit with dh for a spell before bed. We don't get much time together these days except in bed, and then we are asleep...

So have a good night everyone. I'll see you in the morning.

Ginny

Ginny, ya know, I have some of those little packets and had forgotten all about them! They are good and if that counts as water it way works for me!

I worked out a little what I think is a low fat chocolate snack. I took the jello fat and sugar free pudding and whipped it up with 2% milk. Poured it into a graham cracker crust and put a very thin layer of fat free cool whip on top of it. It was wonderful and with it being that TOTM, I was all about the chocolate!

Well, I'm getting close to calling it a night. Hope you all have a wonderful evening!

I don't even know where to start now, I said the same things so many times, I don't want to start again.:( My daughter and I were just discussing me getting a new computer tonight. Thats something I will definitely be doing as soon as I get the house finished and her Married this Christmas. I think until then it might be a little difficult, so bear with me as I huff and puff and have a meltdown every now and then  My son said there is another way to do this in some program so I can't lose my posts no matter what the computer decides to do for the day, but he will have to show me that, because I am clueless to what he is talking about right now.

HI MARTI....http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif Never mind about the page numbers , it was the computer playing tricks on me, but I was talking about the number boxes at the bottom of the thread to change pages, but I didn't have any :dunno:I hope you are having a nice night:hug: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif

HI GINNY... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gifYes when the time is right I will definitely be treating myself to a new computer, funny a year and a half ago, I didn't even know how to turn one of these on let alone care if I ever owned one, now I don't think I can do without , it has opened up a whole new world for me, You said you liked dolls , what kind do you like , do you collect any, I have a small collection of porcelain dolls and I love them. It sounds like your weather today was like mine, cold and windy but nice and sunny , hopefully the warmth will catch up with the sunny days :) I'm tired to tonight, think when I finish here I will soak in the tub for a bit, jump into my jammies, and hit the hay. :cheer: congratulations on your lb loss :cheer: every one counts. I hope you have a nice peaceful night  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif

HI KATY..... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gifIm intrigued now ,whats the story behind the increasingly expensive feetsies  Hope you and your feetsies are having a good night :lol:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif

HI ELLEN.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gifSounds like you had a really crummy day with that computer, if I were you I would throw it out the window and make sure it hits something really hard so it can't come back to haunt you  Poor thing , I feel so badly for you losing all those posts you worked so hard on

HI MICHELLE.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gifYour daughters are indeed beautiful, do they take after you.:D I hope you are having a wonderful night.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif

HI KIMBERLY.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif So much for the cheery clipart today , just one of those days. mmmm crabcakes , they sound so good, I have never made them , but I will someday  Hope your having a good night http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif

HI KATIE.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gifSo sorry about your troubles, I can only imagine how discouraging and depressing it is to have the same or worse problems following the surgery as before, I hope the pain medications help you, and that your boss will make the allowances that your Dr. requested so you can continue to keep your job. I like the sound of that Mother Ellen wins an Oscar for the sainthood of homeless cats around the world  I hope you are having a great night and welcome back  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif

HI CRISTI... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif Is Wally world like walmart, my walmart replaced kmart,, and kmart replaced towers , what next :dunno: oh no Wally world  I'd say your having a crummy day, never seen you talk so little  Poor Cristi  How the heck am I supposed to fill up this post with nonsence if I have nothing to work with, I guess I will go find Susan she's always got good material  I MISS YOU MRS CRISTI ,Please come back with your smile on  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif

HI SUSAN... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif I swear I am almost afraid now, I just remembered I ended every post with you, because well I just had a lot to say to you  but I think you jinxed my posts :lol: So What have you heard about Rachel, are you allowed to visit, how does that go . Is she angry for being put there? I think that her having experienced to many things that young girls are not prepared to deal with physically and emotionally is sure to have a negative effect on her. They never really understand the repercussions for their actions until its to late. I am sure she is dealing with a lot of issues inside right now, and she is in the right place to get the help she needs. If It is in your power to sever the ties with the friend, I would. She is definitely a destructive influence on Rachel and would keep them apart. I know that Rach will make her own choices anyways when she is of age but right now she is to young to make the right ones with whatever issues she is struggling with.I don't know I am just thinking out loud, its none of my business, and I only know what you have told us, so take them as the well meaning thoughts that they are:hug: I feel badly that Rachel has put herself in this position that she is in, and that it will be a struggle for her to get well emotionally and harder for her to maintain with all the temptations that are out there for kids today. I do not envy anyone with teens today, life is so complicated for them. I know we all went through some of the same issues, but it seems they come to the kids younger and less emotionally equipped to handle these kinds of problems. I am also sorry that you have to deal with this, I know how hard it has been on you being on your own, but never feel like you are alone, you have everyone here to talk to , and then of course you have my cheesy humor to help you get through your day  It will get better, :yes:the situation I mean ,not the cheesy humor  Yes and don't forget to take of you first, because without you, the girls wouldn't have a chance.Your a Good Mom Susie Q ( do you hate that) I hope you are having a better night, good I would assume is stretching it given the circumstances, but I bet you sleep better at night knowing Rachel is safe and sound and finally getting the help she needs.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gifhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/heartfriends23.gif

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gifHI ALL YOU GIRLS , HOPE YOUR HAVING A GREAT NIGHT http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/cutecolorsspringicon5.gif

Hiya chatty ladies,

Susan - we're here for you, you know. And you have my phone number if you ever want to vent that way, ok?

Ellen - I'm wondering that if you "copy" your post as you go along, then maybe if you lose it, you could "paste" it quickly in the next message box? Anyway, sorry you keep losing your posts.

Angie - so glad to hear you had the same problem with your knee and that the fluid went away on it's own. I really, really don't want surgery for this. You should open your own costume shop. One of the mods makes costumes for a living.

Katy - expensive feetsies? Did we get some new Italian shoes???? That's the first thing I thought of, naturally, lol.

Marti - OIC about the tree. Sounds like it's a good idea it was taken down. Btw, how's your grandpa?

Cristina - is the dress for something special? Are you having a dress-up party and we weren't invited?? ;)

Ginny - YAY for 1# down. You're still doing well with the exercise. Hey, I use Crystal Light when we go on to WDW. The counter restaurants will give you cups of water free, then I sometimes add CL to it. The bottled water is $2.50 and $3.50. I wouldn't do this at a sit-down restaurant, of course, but hey, gotta save money where we can, right? My DGDs think the raspberry flavor is "Magic Princess Potion", lol. They wanted Kool Aid at my house one day, and I was out, so I told them I had Magic Princess Potion. They love it, lol.

Kim - yay, another graham cracker fan. I have 2 of the cinnamon ones for breakfast w/1 T. peanut butter almost every morning for breakfast. Would you consider adding your name above your avatar? There are so many new members and that would help us.

MaryKate - awww, so sorry you're still hurting. Hopefully they'll find something for you to do at work after the training is over.

Michelle - hope you had a good day.

I had 2 of my sisters and the one's BF over for taco soup and sandwiches tonight. We had a really good time. That is, until we got a call that our cousin's (Beth) 16 y/o son shot (Jimmy) himself in the head. He was depressed over a girl. It makes my stomach hurt to think about it. Beth's husband found him in the garage when he came home from work. Too sad!!!!!!!

On a better note, I've been elevating my knee off and on, and it already feels better. Thanks for the well-wishes about it.

Katie went to Universal Studios with friends yesterday and is going to Daytona Beach with her roommates next Wednesday. She says she's ready to come home, though. Just 2 weeks from today. :cp:

Catch ya on the flip side.....

I find myself not liking Walmart anymore,,,seems everytime I go in there, there are just too many rude people,,,workers included.

Ellen,,,is there a chance you have too much clipart saved? And your hard drive is getting too full? Do you delete soem things? I know that at work my computer slows down with all the emails coming and going,,,work related that is,,,every week I have to clean everything,,,cookies, (not the kind you eat)
Love the pic of my Milo,,,hes such a beautiful cat. Can you tell I love orange cats? Id call an orange cat Tanjo. As in Tangerine....lol

Ginny,,,I worked retail for years,,,I always found the ones who demanded more attention were usually the ones who barely bought anything..pain in the ol keesters is what they are.

Marti,,,so do you keep the wood? Do you have a fire pit that you could have a bonfire night? I love those...the smell of fire...the outdoors...ahhh

Hey All,,,Michelle, Kim and Jules and all the others...

Had Tanner's cast people all costumed...did I mention kids can be evil brats? I have one girl whom I have never seen( she has missed more thena half of the rehearrals) ,,,demanding,,,ya thats right demanding to see her costume. I don't know if she is used to getting her way,,,but with me she didn't. I can't abide rudeness, to me or others. That lil girl was giving it her all....

I got my Dr. referral,,,so easy,,,walked in at 10:45 was talking with him 5 minutes later,,,love it when the appointments are behind. (was almost a first for me to be so on time) anyways told him I wanted to go see Dr. McKenna, he asked who that was,,,said ehr full name,,he said sounds familiar,,,said weight loss he said he read a medical report on her a month or so ago,,,and then started to do a rough draught to this Dr. for me! Was in my vehicle driving away at 11:05... now I know the wait time is like a month...will keep you all posted.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/morn5.gifGOOD MORNING LADIES
I am tired the diet is definitely wearing me down., plus I worked on that grout finish till late. After I put it on I was supposed to wait 24 hours before I did anything ie: wash the floors , so I waited a little longer than that, and it was a real challenge to get the excess off the tiles that I should have wiped off while I was doing it. I did wipe some off , just didn't think it would stick as much to the tile as the grout . Ha Ha Ha was I ever wrong. Needless to say I completely wore my fingernails down, had to switch to a putty spatula to finish the job. Sometimes I wonder why I get myself into these messes  At least it looks nice, my daughter says it looks like I have a brand new floor. Its surprising what a difference changing the grout colour makes, I just hope this stuff lasts for a long while like the warranty says, because I don't want to be redoing that any time soon:lol:

GOOD MORNING SUSAN......Your hear bright and early, your right I did shutter at the thought of to much clip art brrrrrrrrrrr  can you imagine if I had to erase my pictures just to use the computer more efficiently , what would be the point  Poor Becky, those are the repercussions no one thinks about. I completely understand that Rachel has worn everyone down and burned her bridges, that seems to be the whole idea at the time, but its when she has to rebuild the damage she's caused everyone, she will soon realize that it definitely wasn't the smartest choices she ever made.Well I'm not giving up on you, Susan get dressed and get your butt to school, feel better now :D I hope your day is going well

HI ANGIE....Not really Angie, if no one knows their names to begin with  heck for all they know the kids and dog are the confused ones

HI MARTI... ummm its hard to talk to you if your outside, You will do fine in your new position , just take control, strut your stuff, and then hide in your office  have a great day

HI EVERYONE ELSE WHERE EVER YOU MAY BE, AS YOU NOTICED UBOVE I BEGAN THE POST AT 10 AM HENCE THE GOOD MORNING, BUT I FINISHED IT AT 4PM  son kid #1 then daughter kid#2 then there was making 3 kids lunch if I'm including me  then I got busy doing something , and remembered that I forgot to finish my post  so here I am:lol: but now I must go and finish what I was doing before I remembered what I forgot to do, and then I will forget to do that to, did you get that. :D Hope your all having a wonderful day.

Hello ladies...

MARTI...now what exactly is afternoons? I know it is better hours than now, of course. So you will have to get on a new sleeping schedule???

ANGIE...you and me both! I was calling Jason Josh yesterday for some reason. Had Josh on my mind I guess, which I always do. So glad Carrie didn't get a "J" name after all. I am so jealous! I would love to see Beauty and the Beast!

SUSAN...we do have a KMArt...on the west side of town. I don't care for the west side of town so about the only time I go that way is to the airport. And they don't have groceries like the super Wal-Mart. I'm not sure why I am getting to where I hate Wal-mart, just am. The cashiers and other workers are always nice...it's usually the shoppers that irritate me. And their prices are going up so I might as well just shop at the local grocery store. Tried the new super Target but they don't have all the brands that I buy or a very good selection of meat. So unless they come up with something else, I am stuck with Wal-Mart. And I totally agree...all kids are worth fighting for. No matter what they do they are still your babies.

ELLEN...just didn't have much to say yesterday. Got into with my mother before getting on and couldn't get that off my mind. And sometimes I think I talk too much, :blah: :blah:

JANE...I was looking for a dress for a wedding. I have some but this was the perfect opportunity to get a new one! ;) Except that I didn't find one. :( Oh well, guess something out of my closet will have to do. I went all over the mall today. Apparently, skirts are the in thing now. I have a couple, but not so crazy about skirts. (((((HUGS))))) to you and Beth's family. That is just a sad thing to hear. It kills me to hear of a young person dying for any reason but I think suicide is the worst. My BIL jumped off a 12 story Holiday Inn because of a girl, so sad.

KATY...I'm assuming the shoes have to do with your back. Did ya get some snazzy ones?

Hiya JULES, GINNY, MICHELLE, SUE, MINDEE, KIMBERLY, KATHY, MARYKATE and anyone I may have missed.

Not much going on here. Waiting to hear from V (DH) about the house. Apparently the people who made an appt. Monday, or rather the realtor complained to ours about it. Whatever! What they did was schedule 3-4 houses to look at in one hour so had planned on coming through at the last minute really quick. Want to reschedule. I told V, don't think so. We talked for a few minutes about it and why we are even bothering since we decided to pull off the market. He was going to talk to our realtor about backing out and getting our money back from the other house. Which I don't think is going to happen. There's no way to back out and expect to get that money, I don't think. So we'll see what he has to say...know he is going to get mad, but oh well. He told us if he wasn't living up to our expectations and doing his job he would let us out of the contract no questions asked. Anyway, I went to exercise and tan this morning and then have been gone since 2:30. So tired. Working out got the best of me today for some reason...thinking because my head is stopped up. But I did it, three times around like you are supposed to. Then went shopping, ugh! Didn't find a dress, all the big things that is on the registry Target didn't have so I stumbled upon the little kitchen gadgets. Was just going to give up and buy whatever but thought, no I will just stick with their list. They live together so what is on the list is what they want or need. Ended up getting them a bunch of the little things that no one else had and the last of two bath towels of the 6 they wanted. Anyway...better get going. I need to go take something for my head. Chat with you ladies later.

Cristina - We don't have Wally World on our side of town. There's one by where my DH works, but I get the creeps everytime I go in there...I don't know what it is about that place :shiver: but if it 's the only game in town, then that's where you shop. I shop at Costco and Winco and New Seasons ( local chain) Sorry about the convo with your mom...hope you are feeling better about it.

Now, my feet. I mentioned in the challenge thread that I have been called off of aerobics. "No jumping, no stepping" according to my chiropractor. According to her, I have Morton's foot and yes, there is a website www.mortonsfoot.com. They sell some special insoles on this site. I am hoping that my chiro will like them and say I can use them because the alternative is to consult with a podiatrist in Bellevue (4+ hours away from here) and have custom orthotics ($500) made. Can you say yikes?! $45 definitely sounds better than $500. My insurance does not cover any of it. The good thing about all this is that if my alignment can get straightened out I may be finally able to get rid of this nagging lower back pain that has plagued me for years. I am very excited by that. It did seem odd to me that I was working out 5-6 days a week, getting in pretty decent shape, but my knees and back would continue to aggravate me. I am bummed by having to curtail my exercise, but it will be good in the long run. Meanwhille, I am going to do some yoga and deep water aerobics. I also am able to use the elliptical at the gym as long as I don't go over 30 minutes. The recumbent bike is ok, too.

Hope everyone else is doing well to day. I keep meaning to do more individuals, but, you know, it's TV Turn off Week, and my kids keeping wanting me to do stuff. Heh heh. Darn it - can't park them. Needless to say, my house is a mess. Guess when I would clean? Or post on the internet? or pay bills - ok going to have to figure out something to do about that one.....

I did go to school Ellen. We met with the VP and he said he wanted perfect behavior from here on out and Beck nodded like a deer with headlights flashed in her eyes. Earth to Rebecca. lol She is so funny. We were done with the meeting in 15 minutes. Had time to kill so we went to Starbucks and I bought a yummy sandwish with cucumbers. Went by Gabys' school and didn't see the bus. Went by the community center (which has a bad rep for Friday nights - don't let Leigh go there Katy! Kids sneak up in the hills and fool around) so the girls can't go there anymore. Unless they want to swim or play basketball.
By now I have a headache and Beck finally agrees to go to school early. So drop her off and go home. Let Gaby eat cheetos and I cleaned the kitty litter box. Finally go outside and wait for her bus which comes 2 minutes early. Before that though Gaby falls on the curb and lands on her butt. Poor baby......kind of bloody, but I don't tell her that. lol I just see CSD coming and taking her away......I know, I am so wound up.
Get to work and HR is doing a session on supervision and I sat through that. We have very nice HR people and I learned a lot.
Spoke with Rachels case worker and we have a family meeting next Weds.- so can't see Rach til next week. What a hearbreak!!!! Caseworker says she is teary so be prepared for that when I get my first phone conversation tonight.

It is just a icky part of town Katy. The store (WalMart) is icky and gloomy and it is dirty over (14/15 miles??) there. Sorry, but that is the truth. I wouldn't go over there to save a few cents on a can of tuna, though I have in the past. We do have a Kmart out in Beaverton, sometimes I go there.

Do I sound witchy??? Maybe I am,,,,,,I think I am getting tired of life, need some fun!!! Need a weekend!!!

Who is getting married Cristi??

ahhhhh, Miss Ellen.......a resident brought me a homemade cake.....YUM.....you want some??? I know you do:devil: Smells devine .....YUM......

Gosh,,,,,I better get to the cake. Just wanted to say hello. Thinking of Benchwarmers for a movie tomorrow night and the zoo on Saturday, something fun and keeping us busy so we won't think of Rachel locked behind closed door.....*waaaaa *waaaa. lol - jk.....gotta go....

Susan - My neighbor said Benchwarmers was really funny - and she's a tough one to please! It sounds like just the ticket to keep your mind off life in general. You'll be seeing Rachel before you know it ...just keep telling yourself that she's where she needs to be...then go distract yourself

You're right about that part of town. DH calls it "felony flats".

Hi Ellen - keep going, girl. The Little Engine that could - I think I Can I think I can.

So - my foot saga wasn't nearly as interesting as everyone thought it would be...I WISH it were about expensive italian shoes! At least it wasn't bunions or something real attractive like hammertoe.

Where is everyone today, is it a holiday or something, you had a party and I wasn't invited "right" :( Well I haven't a lot to say finished up the hallway , finger tips are raw, that was fun.

HI KATY... I bought these insoles called Walkfit, I don't know if you have heard of them ,they are seen on infomercial, and I bought mine at tsc here, anyways I was having a lot of trouble with my back and knees aching, and other ailments and I thought it wouldn't hurt to give them a try, I had a thirty day money back guarantee. I find a huge difference in the way I feel when I walk , the purpose is for alignment, and I think they do a great job for me anyways. I don't know the seriousness of your problem but honestly it wouldn't hurt to give them a try, there are different levels of arch support you just insert the different pads. I am still using level one and I am doing fine with that one Look on the internet for Walkfit and have a look, it sure beats putting out 500.00 thats for sure.I thought I would mention it, I hope your having a great night,

Good Evening Everyone ~ My husband and daughter went to see Benchwarmers a couple of weeks ago, and they said it was really good and funny.:) I'm so happy the nice sunshiny beautiful weather is back! It just makes a person feel so happy. I'm finally feeling better and back to myself again, and I'm happy so I can start back to my usual exercise routine in the morning. I'm praying for you Susan and your daughers. You have your hands so full and you really need a good break. I hope all of you have a wonderful evening...

Good evening ladies,

I am tired tonight, DS#3 and the 3 grandbabies just left. Boy they were full of it tonight, dh was as full of it as they were....but it was fun. Poor son is really worn out, he has to go to college full time and watch the 3 kids all the time. His wife works and lets just say she would rather stay at work than be home... it's such a shame.. they have darling kids, she is missing out on so much that she'll never get back. I don't understand some young women these days.

Susan, I know it's a terrible feeling to have one of your chicks out of the nest away from home, :( especially so young. But be glad she is getting the help she needs to become whole again. Poor Rebecca sounds like she isnt' really cut out to be a problem child, just needed to give it a try. You will get through this, you are a strong lady and a good mom.. and hopefully it won't be long you will be a happy family again. I'll keep you and your girls in my prayers. It can't hurt.

I forgot who just saw Beauty and The Beast, but I loved it too. I saw it on Broadway in NYC in 2001. Was the highlight of our trip.

Marti, good luck on starting on afternoons.

Angie, how long before the production is over?

Jane, so sorry to hear about your cousin's son. What a waste, what a loss.. I always hate to hear about young people feeling that lost and tormented that they feel that is the only way out..your family must be crushed.. you and your family are in my prayers too. Also, hope your knee is feeling better.

Ellen sorry you are still having problems with your computer. :comp:

Katy, why do you go to a chiropractor for your feet? Just curious..I have flat feet and hate to wear shoes.. but I bought myself a good pair of tennis shoes when I was going to Curves cause the spring boards made my feet and ankles sore,, anyway I now wear them to work and my feet are feeling much better, also my lower back. I have a recumbant bike, that is what I ride every night. I still have to adjust my seat every so often, shifting forward or back to be comfortable.:ebike:

Kim. why wouldn't water with flavoring in it be counted as water.. tea, coffee liquid is liquid...as long as it is plain, no sugar, cream etc. that would be defeating the purpose. But flavored water is still water.

We have a super Wal mart in town. IT is the best place to shop around here. We had a kmart but it had to close when walmart came into town. Our town is small and we couldn't support them both. I liked kmart, but I like the super walmart better. Ours is clean and a nice place. I know quite a few of the people who work there so that makes it more fun to shop. I always run into people I know shopping too, so it's as much a social place as a shopping place.

Well, I guess I better turn in. My son #3 gave me his old laptop tonight, so I am taking it work tomorrow and seeing if I can do some things with it, to save myself some time in the evenings..

It is suppose to start warming up tomorrow and continue to get warmer, so business should be picking up. My fundraisers start Monday also, so that always brings the people in. Oh yes.. I got my car back today. Not sure if I told you about my son #4 borrowing it back in Jan. when his quit for good on him.. was suppose to be a weekend or week at the most, well here it is 4 months later.. well last Friday, he calls to tell me he found a car, but he also backed into a tree with mine denting two doors.. I am not very happy with him, but I at least have it back. He did say he'd pay for the repairs.. we'll see.

Well, I hope you all have a good night. I am not that good at doing individuals all the time.. I try to take notes but didn't tonight, I am to tired. So I'll just say Hello to everyone and good night.

Good Evening.

I am off to get fish food!!

I talked to you in a whole paragraph Ellen.

Glad to hear Benchwarmers is good, look forward to seeing it.

Spoke with Rach and she sounds fine. Asked over and over when she can come home but I gave no answer. I only have 22 days on her (in treatment ) medical coverage, so 22 days is a safe guess. haha

Is that not the most icky, gross..... area of PDX Katy?? Even north PDX has some charm in between the drive by shooting - lol .....just think of concrete, that is all there is out there in SE, sucks....

better get to the store.........thank you for the prayers :)

Hi ladies,

Ellen - I didn't get to see the cat pics. By the time I got on here the day you posted them, or maybe it was the next day, there was just a place where they had been. Yay for the new-looking floor.

Angie - glad all went well at the doc's for your referral. Lots of JLs will be waiting to see what she has to say. Oh hon, I call my girls by the wrong name all the time, and have since they were small. Now Mary does it with her 3 girls, lol.

Cristina - Mary is furious with the way Walmart has been raising all their food prices. We don't have many choices here, either, since Walmart ran most of the competition out of town. I got a new skirt this season. It's chocolate brown, and goes with an aqua jacket with brown buttons, and a white cami. I found some aqua and brown reed braclets to wear with it, and also bought new chocolate brown sling-backs. Already had a cool dark brown purse. I don't usually like skirts, either, but I did like this one. So many of them have huge flowers on them which would make my butt look even bigger than it is!

Marti - I bet you're getting anxious for your new job. Tell us about it, ok?

Katy - dang, I was hoping to hear about Italian stilettos, lol. Hope you've been having lots of fun during your No TV week.

Susan - how did the conversation with Rachel go? Was she still weepy? Keep in mind that you'll make it through one way or another, ok?

Michelle - glad you're feeling better.

I didn't get much accomplished today. My nephew from Indy visited and I really enjoyed that. Also did some laundry.

I almost forgot that when Katie gets back, that means I get my laptop back!!! I really miss it. Thirteen days until we leave..... :carrot:

See ya later,

GOODNIGHT LADIES
Its bedtime I think , I am tired did quite a bit today, need to try and finish tomorrow :tired:
Susan..... I didn't even see that post until you mentioned it  Sorry. so the fishies didn't kick the bucket , that's good news  Drive by shootings sheesh, that's a little scary to say the least. I hope that they can accomplish a lot in 22 days , I would imagine they will see the urgency in it. I hope Rachel comes through this, with some new skills. So Susie hows the diet going, I will confess I cheated today, my son left his Wendy's frosty in my freezer and I ate it, I did, I felt guilty, but its to late now , she's on the way down to where all bad frosties go  :D

JANE.....I went back and the pictures are still there, try again ok:D Its kind of amazing what a difference the grout made , its quite a change , the tiles were a off white colour with a sand colour grout originally, but after 5 years it started to darken and when I changed all the paint to brighter colours I didn't like the way it looked with the new palette so I changed it to this almond shade and it looks so much nicer , fresher :D I just hope it lasts, its a new product , its supposed to last for years, I guess I'll find out won't I. I just hope it lasts long enough for my poor fingers to recover  I was responding to your post about the birds the other night and I lost my post again, but what a beautiful sight outside your dining room window, I have wanted to get some feeders out since I moved here ,just never did get to doing it. I have so many beautiful finches, cardinals , blue jays and every other kind of bird up in the huge trees here, I just love watching them. My neighbours have so many bird and squirrel houses in their yard , its always filled with little critter's we share kitties and squirrels and birds, the occasional raccoon and skunk  but it nice. Your new house already looks like a wonderful warm and cozy home, you have done a beautiful job.

HI GINNY.......Wow Broadway , you lucky lady. I hope you get some rest after your visit with the little ones , I know how they can wear you out. Have a great night

HI MICHELLE... Glad your weather is warm and sunny, I have the sunny but the warm hasn't caught up yet. Happy you are feeling better and back to your old self again, what is your usual exercise routine, nosy me wants to know  H:hug: ave a great night

Well girls I am off to bed to pooped to participate anymore, I know Angie is hot on my heels somewhere, with a cold cup of coffee at her side  but I am to tired to wait for her tonight, so Angie I agree with ever you are going to say, I'm sorry for anything bad , happy for anything good, and NO I didn't do it, honest :lol:A little something to help you sleep betterhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/94655-1102879501.jpg

QUESTION? REMEMBER THE RUG I SHOWED YOU THE YELLOW CHECKED ONE, I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET THAT ONE, THEY ARE CHECKING AROUND, BUT TELL ME WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS ONE,THERE IS RED IN MY ACCENT COLOURS .http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/16-167_l.jpg

Ellen, I love the rug...so perky. You agree with what ever I say eh? Now stay out of the freezer...frosties are bad ,,,bad!

Ginny, it was mean who got to see Beauty last night,,,loved it. Im very flat footed,,,and as most of you know Brandon is severely flat footed,,,worse that alot of Dr. have ever seen...I guess when you are bare foot on the floor and you suction cup to it,,ya that is flat footed...lol But i find if I wear flats or bare feet my feet ach horribly. I tend to find rubber soled shoes ,,thick soles too. Hope the laptop helps you,,

Jane, I wear alot of brown and aqua together. Bought the cutest pair of jean capris with dark brown cuffs. I wear it with a top that is both brown and aqua,,then top it off with a aqua cardigan.

Katy, was hoping it was expensive italians... Brandons inserts costed me the first time a thousand. He had an ingrown toenail which was another 2 hundred. Thing is they inserts were only used for 6 months,,,had to have new casts made after his second surgery. That was 8 hundred, with no insurnace coverage. We know he will have to get another once he has had surgery again,,,which is about another 4 months.

I said NO! today,,,I was asked 2 times to stage manage Oklahoma...and both times I said no. Im so proud of myself. Of course 10 min before that I agreed to do some emergency sewing for a play...with my time schedule why did I say yes? duh,,,banging head against the brick wall...gonna try to sew these thigns they need.

well off to bed I go....night all

Hi everyoneJust popping in for a quick second, because I used most of my time trying to go back and read.

Susan hugs to you.

Jane when we were in dino land the only ride that DH and the kids went on was the flying dino's. And the dinosaur ride. (The really scary one that the 3 year old loved.)

Cristina sorry about the trouble you are having with the showing of your house. Can you stay at home while they show the house? When we were looking at houses a couple of the families stayed at home. They did a better job showing us their places and the realitor learned alot from them also.

Ellen I am glad that you got a new computer. You find the cutest pictures.

Angie glad to see that you have slowed down and now have time to yourself to relax. Did you take any recovery time or just 2 days? Will come back on later tonight to see if you are the stage manager for the new production... you will probably be asked a few more times.

Hi Marti how do you like the gazelle? Was looking at one in the store but didn't know how it would work.

Hello to everyone else. I really must get running as I have so much to do and I am almost out of time. I will have horses coming through my door demanding breakfast and the children have decided they want pancakes for breakfast.

Have a great day

Good morning ladies,

Angie, good for you for saying NO... sometimes we just have too. And yes with flat feet your legs and everything aches after being on your feet all day. When I stand barefooted my ankles practically touch the floor, I have no arches.. always had sore feet too. Shoes really make the difference. Hope your son gets his feet in shape. Will the next surgery do it? I know what you mean about medical expenses. Even with insurance they are still expensive. When ds#5 had his back injured several weeks ago, the ambulance cost $700 something, and all they did in the ER was give him a shot for the pain and a prescription for more pain pills. That cost $385 of which they deducted $70 because they belong to the insurance group.. that is considered paid by the insurance, so the balance is ours. Plus they don't want to pay for the ambulance either.. so having insurance sounds good, but it don't always help any at all. My ds#4 had major back surgery several years ago, the doctor didn't belong to the group.. so he wouldn't accept what the insurance would pay him, he charged us more than $10,000 more.. and he had an assistant whom we understood to be one of his office members, but no he asked another specialist to assist so this doctor also charged us $10,000 on his own, and the insurance will only pay for 1 specialist... of the $20,000 insurance paid $1500. That is right fifteen hundred... now you can't tell me that reasonable cost for 7.5 hrs of major surgery is 1500 dollars. Anyway insurance isn't all it's cracked up to be.. high premiums and low pay outs. But don't get me going on that.

Had fun with the kiddies last night. But told son not to expect me to babysit for the next 6 weeks at least. There is just to much to do, and his wife will just have to arrange her schedule around her family. She is the head honcho and makes out the schedule so it shouldn't be a problem.

Does anyone ever go into the chatroom on this thing. I just discovered it the other day, two or three of you ladies were on line at the same time but no one was there.. that would be a neat place to plan to meet sometime and have a real chit chat.

Well, I really don't have anything to chitchat about this morning. Hope today is more productive at work. We had frost warnings again last night so that slows people down from buying.

Ok, will check in this evening.. have a good day all, and post lots so I can have lots to read.. didn't get to ride last night, so will have to do extra tonight.

Sorry to be MIA--we have two friends in the hospital
--one is a guy my husband worked with years ago--when he found out we were putting the tin roof on he was out here helping without even being asked--he's just that kind of guy--he was in an accident at work and a chain snapped and hit him in the face--he was in surgery almost 8 hours to remove all the fragments--they kept him sedated for a few days--there was no brain damage and when they brought him out of sedation he was his usual self--cracking jokes & wanting a cigarette--he gets reconstructive surgery next Monday....
the second is a dear friend and the coworker who I say is the only reason I stay sane at work--she's 61 and I keep saying when she retires I do too. She had a bunion which got a sore on it--last week her leg started swelling and she took off a few days--Saturday they took her to the emergency room because it turns out she had a staff infection (not the worse kind that there is only one treatment for) and it turns out she has diabetes. Wednesday she lost three toes. She had them removed without being put totally under since she has been terrified since the start of this as her mother had the same thing happen and never woke up after surgery. I am going to go see her today and she seems to be handling it all well.

Good Morning,

My former boss just came in and flopped in one of my chairs and asked how I was doing. I told him and I think he is sorry he asked. lol woo hoo

Beck told me that Rachel's friend that we have been trying to keep her away from worships the  devil .lol Sorry, it isn't funny . Just seems like can it get any worse???

Means nothing because we belive in God. Devil should be scared of that.

Rach wasn't weepy Jane. I need to buy her some shoes because she left her's at the friends house. Not even going to bother going over there. Course my mother thinks I should invite the girl to church. Wonderful idea but I am not in the mood and the girl isn't going to do that and the whole point is to get Rachel away from her. Save my own child , thank you very much. Is that mean?? hmmmm, I don't care.

How is the what going Ellen?? I don't call it a diet. I call it a life changing event*snicker* an awaking if you will......chanting is good....... jk......I am doing AWESOME!!!! I went to Starbucks this morning and picked up the sandwish I was eating all week and realized it has 600 calories in it! *GASP* so I picked up the low cal one and that had 290. So , I ate that for breakfast.

Hi Kathy!!! I better get to work. yikes.........

Good Morning Ellen!!!

You were posting at the same time as me!!!! Cool , huh??? Kind of like we share the same brain!!! Scary, huh??? hehe

I have 2 1/2 months before operation "Get a Maintenance Man" starts. That is when I go to camp ( gawd, I sound so immature-lol) We will be there a week and I figure my outfits of short shorts and tank tops will get his attention. If I don't lose the 30 pounds though it will be a horrible sight. :fr:

I would never make fun of the frosty downfall. I am not that kind of person. You can have all you want, we can set up Frosty IV's for you......hehe.

better get!!!

Hi ladies...

JULES...lots of (((((HUGS))))) to your friends.

MICHELLE...glad to hear you are feeling better.

JANE...your outfit sounds so purdy! I did try on a skirt and dress yesterday and almost bought one of them-couldn't decide so put them both back because they were black. Just don't like wearing black to a wedding. Still not sure what I will wear  I noticed a lot of brown and I do like brown, but wouldn't wear it to a wedding. Was really looking for something springy, pink or blue, but not navy.

SUSAN...this guy that Vince works with is getting married. So what kind of sandwich are you eating that has cucumbers on it? I like cucumbers but can't imagine them on bread.

KATY...me and my mother will never have a realtionship, especially after the e-mails. Her last words were...you'll never hear from me again. Now how's that for a mother saying she cares? It's not the first time we have gotten into it though. She just doesn't like to hear the truth. Thank you for sharing that site! :thanks: I printed off some of the info and may just have to buy some of the insoles. Thinking that is/has been my problem. And yes, $45.00 is so much better than $500! :yikes:

GINNY...I guess we are fortunate to have decent insurance. They have paid for just about everything after we pay our deductible which I think is $250 per person. I know when DS-Josh hurt his ankle bad...I took him to the emergency room and 2 hours later came out with a $600 bill! YIKES! All they did was look at it, give him a brace to wear and take x-rays. What cracks me up is then he got a $200 bill for the doc who looked at him, and then another $176 bill for the x-rays. It is ridiculous! Of course the job he worked at did not provide insurance and while he was working, it happened when he was leaving and because his boss was a friend, sort of...he didn't want to pursue workers comp. Anyway...glad you had a nice time with DS and children.

KATHY...we could stay home while the people look at the house but I would feel uncomfortable. Well, that and our little dog would bark the whole time and annoy everyone! He doesn't like people so it's easier for us to leave. BUT...we won't be worrying about that any longer. DH told our realtor we wanted out of the contract because it was/is driving us mad. He was going to talk to his broker to see what can be done so we don't lose our money on the other house. If we have to, we will just keep it listed and just not show it. Haven't heard anything yet about it.

ELLEN...I love the rug! So pretty! I say if you have a touch of red in your decor, it should work. Too bad about the other, I REALLY liked the blue & yellow!

Hi to everyone else!

Well, went to IF this morning and got that out of the way. I was draggin' for some reason but got it done. Working on the water, just have one bottle to get the four but I am going to try for five. That's about all that's going on with me. Went there and then ran to the grocery store to pick up a couple of things I forgot at Wal-Mart Wednesday. Straightened the house a little and did a load of laundry...very interesting and fun-filled day! Yeah, right  So spending some time on the ole 'puter. :comp: It's a rainy day today and supposed to be the whole weekend. :rain: So will be getting a lot of reading in I hope. Haven't been doing much reading lately. I will chat with you ladies later.

Take care and have a great day!

Hi Cristi.
The 600 calorie sandwish had the cucumbers. The one I had today (the 290)was on whole grain bread and had turkey & red peppers. It was somewhat tastey. I missed the cucumber one though.
I just talked with Rach and she was sobbing. She was apologizing up and down. Promised to be better if she could come home. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO dang hard to listen to that but ......I tried to calm her down and tell her we would see her on Wednesday and the program would be more relaxed for the weekend, so relax, calm down. I think she tried but she was still crying......argh.
I said her dad would call later in the day.
anywho. I had clam chowder for lunch and an orange......

chat later.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/flasher.gif YEP ITS FRIDAY LET THE FUN BEGIN

HI SUSAN....Same brain  yep I can see that one http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/smileyeatingchoc.gifI knew you would never laugh at my downfall  When we moved into our last house my daughter was 10 yrs, and this other little girl started coming around , there was something about her that just struck me as odd, after a few years of friendship ,my daughter started acting strange and scared, I asked her if something was wrong ,if she wanted to talk about it ,and I discovered that this other little girl was devil worshipping ,and my daughter didn't know what to do or say to her friend , well I did, and that was the end of that friendship, 13 yrs old, I almost died, I was so naive I didn't even know such things happened with children that young .It was scary for her as well as myself :( I say keep your daughter away from that kind of destructive influence, its hard enough as it is for young kids ,and to many temptations. Maybe her own mother should consider taking her to church or at least teach her some values to help her through her life. I can hardly wait till you go to camp can I come to can I, can I , immature no never  not us
doesn't that bite you when you think you are doing something good for yourself and then discover its full of calories, OK Susan this is getting scary because the exact same thing happened to me just yesterday. I love those Wendy's mandarin chicken salads, I had trouble reading the back of the dressing packet the first time I had one so I tossed it my sons way and asked is this OK for me to eat, he looked at and said yes its fine  so I have happily been indulging in them every chance I get and he comes yesterday and picks up the dressing packet and says you shouldn't be eating that:nono: its got 12 grams of fat :fr::fr: I said but you said it was OK, not exactly in those words http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/furious3.gif  no I LOVE MY SON  but geez Louise. True story, story of my life
so are you excited about Monday's weigh in, after the frosty I'm kinda scared, it wasn't even my frosty for goodness sakes, they can't leave those kinds of temptations in my freezer , its just not fair  So are you having a fun day :D
HI CRISTI... We all must have been typing away at the exact same time today  there is a lot of red in the sofa's , the background is yellow and the flowers are pinks reds little blue ones so there is a lot of red to pull from it. I just wasn't sure if I wanted to keep the kitchen more in the yellow and white pallette but honestly now looking at it I'm thinking a splash of colour might be a good thing, I was going to do the curtains in a yellow and white stripe but I am now leaning more towards ordering one of the fabrics in the sofa with all the floral colours to make them with, I think I am needing more colour, Its all so confusing  why can't it just be simple:lol: but who knows if they find me the yellow and blue rug I might change my mind again, its a fickle thing my brain  Did you and hubby make any decision on what you are going to do about the house situation ? Sorry I had to ask didn't I  Hope you are having a wonderful day :D
HI TO EVERYONE ELSE HOPE YOUR HAVING A GREAT DAY, THE WEEKEND STARTS SOON. yayhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/tearose1/flasher.gifYEP STILL FUNNY:lol:

Hiya Ms. Susan...

You know, kids do know how to play ya. I know Rachel is most likely upset because she is somewhere she needs to be but doesn't want to be. They will always promise to be good to get their way. It is heartwrenching though to hear your child crying for you.  (((HUGS))) to her and you. You just want to let her come home but you can't. She has to know that this is the best thing for her in the long run. She'll go through the crying phase and when she realizes she has to stay there, then there will be the anger phase. She'll be mad at you for putting her there and then I think she will finally figure out it was for her own good and hopefully thank you for it in the end. You guys just have to stand your ground.

The turkey sandwich sounds delicious! :T As does the clam chowder. I had never had clam chowder but always saw it and thought it looked so gross, ICK! Then one day someone talked me into trying it and now I am a fan, so gooood! Especially on a cold day. I had a cup of vegetable beef soup from Subway a few days ago...was so cold for some reason and could not warm up. Boy was it tasty, and it warmed me insides up. :D

I probably should get going. Didn't realize it was almost 3:30!

Hiya Ms. Ellen!

Yeppers, we were all typing at the same time!

I think with all the colors the red rug would be perfect! It really is pretty! And yes....we did make a decision about the house. We are not going to sell! Yippeee....:carrot: I can get on with my boring life as I knew it before. Our realtor was going to talk with his broker to see what he needs to do to see about getting our money back on the other house and if we can't get it back then we will just leave the house listed and let the contract run it's course. But not accept any appointments for showings. I honestly can't take anymore of this. I thought for sure we would have this sold in less than a month with the way things are being sold around here. But..all we have gotten is it's too small. Well, duh! 1283 sq. ft. is small! Or as I like to say, cozy. It's actually 2500+ sq. ft counting the basement so not understanding how it can be small. The main floor though, yes and there's no separate dining room that a lot of people want. The rooms themselves I guess are small to them. To me it's not, it's perfect. Oh well...now you've got me wanting to do some redecorating! I'll tell V it's all your fault that he has to paint the whole house again!
