Down 1.2 this week. I don't even want to think how far I am from my goal. With 4 weeks left. :mad:

Had a good day yesterday - did not eat that last snack before bed which has been putting me over the limit lately. Whew! Now to do that again today . . .:dizzy:

Pryia - sorry you are feeling :mad: . You are making progress - you must keep that in mind. Look how far you've come in a short time period. You can do it!

Hi all.

Hope you don't mind if 1 more 30 something takes on the challange (although quite late).

I registered at this site a while back, but never got going. Since that time, I have managed to get to my all time high.

I have recently begun to make efforts to reverse this trend, and would like to have a goal toward that end. Since I only have 4 weeks left, I am going to go for 8 pounds by LD. Hopefully, these 4 weeks will show good results, as I am just getting started.

So....

Hi All,

Weigh in went great last night, I did better than I thought I'd do!! I lost 2.4!! Here's the stats:

Starting Weight 7/4: 237.6
JULY 11th Weigh In: 236.2
AUG 1st Weigh In: 238.0
AUG 8th Weigh In: 235.6
Goal Weight 9/5: 229.0

So now I have 6.6 lbs. to lose in 4 weeks...that's 1.65 lbs. a week! This one's gonna be close, but I still have faith that I can do it!! I'm also hoping to get my 10 lb. ribbon next week...it's soo close, I'm at 9.8!!

HI

I can't believe there are only 4 weeks left on this goal. I have went in the wrong direction so far. I have weigh in tonight, but am expecting to maintain. I don't feel that I've lost any. It is a constant struggle, you know? I've got to get myself together!

Bailey - WELCOME!! Good luck on your goal that you've set! Do you do any particular program or are you doing this on your own?

Lbh - your goal is definitely reachable! Hooray for you!

Rabbit: I am doing it on my own. I have done the National Weight Loss program (low-carb) before for a short time. I am trying to incorporate some of those ideas, trade Coke and alcohol for water and get some exercise. When I stop losing, I will look into a more formal program. If only that never occurs!

Well, I did lose last night! Hooray! I lost 1.7, so I am glad. I'm still very far away from that Labor Day goal, but I'll keep working towards it.

Bailey - Terrific that you can do this on your own. I need the accountability of going in somewhere to weigh.

Hi everyone, especially the new comers.

Well I did make a goal, but somewhere between making setting the goal and today - aliens have taken over my body. They are making me eat things that I should not be eating, however they have not stopped me from journalling and I am fighting back on the exercise front. I know that I have gained all the weight I had previously lost and I haven't been to a meeting for about a month. The support of the board has helped me keep the "lifestyle" in the forefront of my mind. So I am just posting to say that I am going back to WW for the 4th time. Why did the "3rd and final" time of joining not work. Simply - I took my eye off the long term goal and allowed another issue to dominate and take over. Don't get me wrong, it is a big issue, but it should not have been big enough for me to sabotage all my good work. So I will go back on Tuesday, I will post my new weight and come what may, I will not skip a meeting and I will not worry how slowly the weight comes off AND I will not worry about plateaus (which has been a big issue for me this time) . I will continue to post the stats however shameful they may be, but I know that you guys out there have been some of what I am going through and you still keep going - so who am I to quit :D

One more thing - we are so good at giving each other advice and support and we sooooo do not take our own advice!

Hey BFB, I sooooooooo understand what you are going through. I have been to WW 5 or 6 times (lost count :lol: ). I am going back on Wednesday morning. I really want to make it work this time, and reading all of the posts in the forum have really given me some motivation. How do you guys do it? Replying to all in one post. There is so much here.:cool:

I hope to stay up to date on all postings, and to reply as good as you guys do.

I have been going through my old program books, and figuring out some ideas for breakfasts, lunches and suppers, seems to be going pretty good. Did you guys know that there is a web site called companion.ca that has quite a few recipes on it. I got some good ideas there for suppers.

Well going to go now. Hope to get to know you all.

I hate to even say this, but I was gone again over the weekend and did not count my points. Did okay on Friday but Saturday was a bust. Did walk on Saturday though so I'm glad about that. Hopefully I didn't do too much damage.:^:

BFB - good for you for rejoining WW!:) I really hate when I have to post "shameful" stats also - but figure it's probably good for me to face the music. You are so so right about us not taking our own advice!

HI

Tonight is my weigh in and I'm hoping for atleast a maintain - no gain, please! I am having such a hard time - I go up, I go down, I go up . . . on and on. Right now I'll be happy to get back to where I started this goal at by the time this goal is over. And that is awful! All I can say is that I am not trying hard enough.:(

If I want to make my ww goal by my birthday I have got to kick some serious butt! No more pussy-footing around. No more excuses.

I'll be glad to weigh in tonight so that I can start a new week. I'm ready to say good-bye to this one!

Hi all,

Sounds like we are all in the same boat on this goal - and the weight is dragging it down lol!.

I am especially frustrated with my "lack of loss" this past week since I just started on August 1st.

I'll post all the stats in case anyone has any ideas what is wrong. I am not following any particular program, but have been fairly consistent across days on what I have been eating. Also, I know I am not supposed to weigh in each day, but at this point I am glad that I am.

So there you have it. I know that most of it is just normal fluctuation, but 4.5 lbs in 1 day? Oh well...

Anyway, seems like several of us could use a little inspiration. There are 2 1/2 weeks left until LD. Lets see if we can use the other thread to get ourselves motivated and back on track!

Bailey- The one piece of advice I could give you is to stop weighing yourself everyday!! Yes, it's possible that your weight fluctuates up to 5 lbs. in one day!! Look at it this way: You lost 5 lbs. in one week!! You lost a half a pound in a little over another week. Do you keep a food journal? You should! You could look back at what you ate the first week and compare it to what you ate the second week and see if you over-indulged somewhere, or had something salty that may have made you retain water. Or you may be PMSing which always seems to keep the pounds on! I am doing Weight Watchers and if I've learned nothing else from them, it's to journal everything I eat, and to drink lots of water. They recommend 6 glasses a day, I drink between 3 liters & a gallon a day!

Bailey - I agree with LBH. Your weight fluctuates day to day - mine can do the 4.5 pound jump in a day also (up - not down!!) Great that you are going to start journaling! You've really made a lot of progress already.:D

My challenge to myself this week is to be OP every single day. Day one and I don't have a lot of points left = but I am bound and determined to make it!!

I have been op now for 3 days!! It has been a struggle every single day. I find that I have to take just one day at a time. Today will be a different challenge as I will be on the road most of the day moving ds to school. But I must continue. I feel really good about this.

I used all of my points on Saturday and had .5 left yesterday. I am not using my exercise points that I earn.

Hello. Made it through day 4 op. I had to guess at last night's dinner because I ate at Friday's and I can't find the points anywhere. But I believe I did fine. Whew. Just to be on the safe side, I had no snacks last night when I got home.

Rabbit- I'll add my 2 cents after WI tomorrow night!! :) I usually have soup and salad at Friday's...6 pts. for the soup and 1 or 2 for the salad...I don't eat the croutons! I ate there at least once or twice a week at my old job, because it was right down the road! Thank God for Lean Cuisine's...

:D :D I weighed in today and I lost 2.5lbs :smug: :smug: I have not stayed within my points (which will be my challenge for this week), but the exercise must have done me a world of good. I will not be making my LD goal, but at least I am going in the right direction.

Hi all.

I have been journaling since Thursday of last week, and am happy to report a 3 lb loss! I am really surprised, as I ate lunch and dinner out yesterday and exceded my point limit.

Well...12 days and 3.5 lbs to goal - I hope I make it!

LBH - Hope that scale does what you want it to!

Rabbit - Way to go! 4 days OP is HARD to do.

BFB - Congrats on the loss! Keep it up.

HELLO EVERYONE!!

Day 7 op!! And I lost 1.6 pounds last night at weigh in!!:D

I have totally blown this goal but I'm so happy to be losing again.

If anyone wants to continue these short term goals, we could do a 5 week goal until Columbus Day (October 8th). Then a 6 week goal until Thanksgiving (week of Nov. 19th) and then a 6 week goal until New Years.:) :) I'm up for it.

I even stayed OP yesterday even though it was a weigh in day. That's the day when I tend to think - oh well, I've got a whole week . . .

Hi!

Had a very rough week and just coming off TOM so I am actually happy to report a .5 lb gain. Of course, now I have 4 lbs to lose in the next week, but I think I will be close enough to feel "successful".
