Hi! Easter weekend I did a lot of eating, but it didn't catch up with me on this morning's weigh in. I bet it will tomorrow. I am down about a pound and a half. My weigh in is 166.8 for the week.
I hope everyone has a great week!

Hey all. Well my body was nice to me this weekend. I think it was a combo of making up for lost time and me being sick. However, I was good. I exercised despite the sore throat and the coughing. I hope I continue to lose. Usually I won't lose any for a week or two and then bam. I drop like 4-5 pounds in one week. Well...down to 220.5!
Rosario...you can do it. Just stick with it. Maybe your body will surprise you too.

I was out of control Easter weekend. I was to a Christening yesterday and I was really stuffed, and to top it off~ I had several glasses, or should I say bottles of wine.
I weigh in today at 141.8~ I gained .8 lb overnight:fr: I will not be changing my ticker. Hopefully, I will do better next week.
Good Luck to everyone.:goodluck:

Hey everyone. Weigh-in is tomorrow for me...I hope ya don't mind! If you don't like that, I can always weigh-in on Mondays too. Just let me know!
Easter for me was horrible eating-wise. I didn't do as bad as I thought it would be, but I still didn't do so well. But that's okay...today's a new day! I hope everyone else is doing well! :) Have a great day!

Hey Ladies! Today has been a ****ty day. TOM decided to pay a visit this weekend and he is kicking my ***! I have been very aggressive and in a crappy mood all day. Got on the scale and saw that I had gained 2.75 lbs! WTF? My mama insists it's water weight but I'm still pissed! Dammit. That also means that I didn't make my Easter challenge goal. *scrowls* But I'm cool. As much as I craved sugar today, I didn't give in. I'll be damned if I mess up my Memorial Day Challenge.
Everyone, you all have till the end of the week to post your weigh ins. I'll make a official copy for the week on Sunday night. :) So no one needs to change their usual weigh in days. Hope everyone had a good Easter!

I normally weigh in on Tuesday mornings, so I was waiting to post until then. As of this morning my weight has gone up 1 lb, but my weight has been funky lately and I've been dropping like 2-3 lbs overnight. So I'm hoping for this to happen again for tomorrow. :D I'll post as soon as I know.

I'm having a bad day. My weight went up to 179.6 this morning. :(
I'm not really sure what is going on with me lately. I think I'm back in a plateau since my weight and inches didn't go down this week. I'm planning on changing my exercise routine starting today. We'll see how that goes.
I think I'm holding on to some water weight. I wish my body would just do what I tell it to do. I won't be changing my ticker. I can't bring myself to do that.

Well with all the running I've been doing, you'd think I'd be down at least a couple pounds. But I stepped on the scale and I was UP a couple pounds. :?: I was so pissed. I'm guessing it's because it's TOM, and I ate a lot this weekend, so it's probably water weight. I'm not gonna change my ticker...I'll see what I weigh once my period is over with and I've had enough water to flush out my system! Glad to see everyone else is making great progress! :) Keep up the good work.

Hi Annie and those who weigh-in on different days. I too, weigh-in on a different day....Friday is my weigh-in. I guess we just continue weighing in on our original days and make a seperate weigh-in for this challenge. So, what is the official weigh-in date anyway? LOL. Sunday??
Brandi, don't give up! I was on a plateau for well over a month and finally saw the scale move - hardly, but it moved! I've been averaging a pound a week, but my inches are going down and that's more important!!!
Chin up!!! You'll get there :)

I need a challenge to get my butt moving again ....can I join in too? I failed my easter challenge so bad :( This one I can do and will.....no big dinner plans for Memorial day so I shouldn't gain everything back and then some with this Challenge.....How about 12 pounds in 6 weeks .....that wouldn't be unreachable right?

Ooops! After this Easter weekend and indulging myself in a little (ok A LOT!) of chocolate and all those yummy bad-for-you holiday foods, I am up 1.4 lbs this week, putting me at 190.2 lbs. I just got back from my WW WI today and I knew I was going to be up. This has got me more determined though, to work hard to stay on program and just work through this. The old me would've skipped the WI and said, forget it, I'm done, abandoned this challenge and not shown my face around here. But all you ladies are looking at the new and improved me :belly: , the one who will rise to the challenge of taking the weight off instead of throwing a pity party and gaining even more.
Hey, congratulations to all the losers (of weight) this week. You guys rock! :cp:
As for all of us TEMPORARY gainers, let's follow some of my son's karate precepts: Seriousness, Try Hard, Never Give Up! And a little extra :kickbutt: never hurt either.

Hi ladies,
Ok so still not sure what day to weigh in. but I'll figure it out. I started working out this Sunday and I am so bloody sore, I'm waddling instead of walking. So I just walked a little around my neighborhood, 20 min. and that's all I can do for today. :^: Ah well.
I'm a little under the calories today which means I get a snack. Anyone try those little Quaker Oat granola bars, the ones that are 90 calories? They're pretty good! What are some of ya'lls favorite snacks?

Ok, so I have an exercise question. I would love, love to get a treadmill. However, I live on the second floor of an apartment building with a very noice-conscious neighbor. So, my options are either an exercise bike or one of those ellipticals. I don't think the exercise bikes are very loud but does anyone know how noisy the ellipticals are? I tried them a few times when I had a gym membership (once upon a time) but I don't remember the noise level.
Any advice?
Cheers!

Don't let your neighbors get in the way of your workout. This is something that is important for you. As long as you aren't pounding away at 3am - you should be good.
These days it seems like most people have some type of equipment at home - an hour a day is no big deal.
I have to set a challange for myself for the rest of this week because I have had 3 days in a row of overeating. And since I have no parties - or holiday's - or excuses coming up I am going to stick to 20 points a day - with NO EXTRAS to get myself back in line.
Losing4another
04-20-2006, 09:10 AM
Annie- I would think anything that isn't hopping all over the floor shouldn't bother anyone...and if it does tell your neighbors I exercise at this time sorry if it bothers if you don't like it tough :D Your exercising not throwing a party;) They should give you a break about any noise
Morrigan- great idea...my flex points start over tomorrow so instead of resetting my flex points I'm just going to stay with in daily point range. No more easter treats

Annie - Do they have young kids? It might be an issue of naptimes if they do. If not then they need to respect you as much as you should respect them. Explain that you are exercising and getting healthier. They shouldn't complain about that.
I've been trying this week to not weigh myself everyday like I normally do. It's hard not to. I made it through yesterday. But not today. I did weigh myself this morning. I am down 1 of those lbs that crept on (which I'm sure was just water), so that is good. Hopefully I can lose a couple more this week to show an actual loss and get started on my goal of losing 12 lbs.

Chefbran, Morrigan, losing4another,
You are all right! I just get so irked by my neighbor sometimes. No family, just an older gentleman who works from home. Maybe that's the reason. unfortunately our building has very thin walls. I can hear ever-thing! that goes on in my neighbor's apartments:flow1: -- upstairs and down :o
Anyway, 1hr. a day won't kill him. I already stomp around doing Tae Bo.
Anyway, how is everyone's week going so far? Mine's alright. This is the first week of my fitness/healthy eating plan and my muscles are still hurting. But oh well, 'onward and downward' right?
Cheers!

Ellipticals are not noisy. The closer to gym quality the less noise.
A treadmill isn't either if you get one with pro shox or cushioned where the belt and the bottom of the treadmill don't touch. You can actually put your hand between the belt and the bottom of the treadmill while someone is on it and they won't touch. With a mat under the treadmill too I think it will be fine. I live on the 4th floor and I haven't had any complaints.

Hey all, this week has been loads better than last week (with Easter and all). Weekends are always hardest for me when family comes over and we cook out on the grill...lots of snacky snacky foods like chips and dips and sometimes it feels like I want to graze all day. But! I've got some nice lean meats to grill today and will just take a single serving portion instead of a half side of beef .... and load up on the greens. I will weigh-in on Tuesday morning and post my results.
Chicky, congrats on your 30 lbs lost milestone, great job! :high:
Brandi, having a plan is better than not planning at all. Good luck and sending you positive vibes for a good W/I on Tuesday.
Annie, hey good job on the loss :cb:. If I read that correctly, is that 6 lbs in 1 week? That's awesome! Send me some good vibes. If you don't mind me asking, how tall are ya? We're about the same weight range and I'm just getting back into some of my 14 jeans. I'm 5'3" short though.

Its been so beautiful here, It was 75 yesterday and ill tell ya, it was wonderful! The kids gotta play outside, I got to work in my yard. I love being outside, well, when its not too hot. Today is only going to be 70, but ill take it!! Hope all of you have a wonderful day!!

Great job to all the losers. I am not actually going to weigh in until Wednesday. It is my normal day, I just switched it up last week. Now that it is getting warm exercising outside has been easier. (Except right now we are having winter-like weather. It was great until last night though!) I am a little worried that I will be up this week. Maybe I will give a last few days push and stay the same! :)
Losing4another-5 pounds is great. I have NEVER lost 5 pounds in a single week, and I always strive for it. I know 2 pounds is a good average to shoot for but I only want one week were I lose more!

Well, even though I finally saw that 220 on Saturday, I had a horrible week. Didn't sleep for two days and didn't exercise for 3. I was doing well on my calories until last night when I had a splurge meal. Ribs and fries. I had a whopping 2,810 calories yesterday. That meal left me craving bad things today so I will have to fight those for the rest of the day. I hope my body will recover and I can lose some weight next week when I'm suppose to. I'm so close to being in the teens.

SO whattya say? Another 10 lbs or so to be in my 14's? They "fit" sorta. I mean they can button up but are hella tight. I feel like a sausage link, ya know?
I was looking at some of my clothes yesterday and I realized that one short-term goal is to fit comfortably into the smaller clothes I have. the 14's (usually range from 14-16 but for the last year its been the higher end).

Well I lost the 2 lbs I put on last week and am back down to 177.6. Yeah! So I'm back to where I started.
I started my new plan on Sunday. It's not too bad. I'm trying the Sonoma Diet. It's all about whole foods. I figured I needed to try eating cleaner. We'll see how this goes. Well my grocery bill was almost twice what it normally is, so that's not good. But isn't it usually whenever you start a new plan? I'm hoping to lose 2-4 lbs in the next week. I'm keeping my hopes up anyway.

Annie, I think another 10 lbs would put us comfortably in our size 14's. There are 14's I can wear now are the "big" 14's if you know what I mean (Old Navy, Bill Blass, etc.). But I am back in a pair of Nautica jeans that I haven't been able to wear for 2 years and they are smaller than the Old Navy ones, so I'm happy about that. I carry a lot of my weight in my stomach, thighs and butt (as my DH likes to say I've got a lot of junk in my trunk  ) but as I lose, everything pretty much slims down proportionately.
Super, one bad meal does not equal a bad week. (I know you know this :D) I hear ya on the cravings the "day after" though. You can beat it!
Rosario, you can do this girl, we're here to help you out.
Pickles, good luck on your WI tomorrow :crossed:
Great job everyone, keep posting and keep striving to be big losers :grouphug:

I used to live in Hawaii from Jan 2001 till April 2005. My husband was stationed at Schofield Barracks, but actually worked on Wheeler. We lived in Helemano. It was nice because it was just a down hill drive to Heleiwa.
Where do you live? I miss the nice weather, the salt/pineapple flavored air, and the sounds of the waves. I now live in the desert.:(

I weighed myself this morning. I am only down .6 pounds, which puts me at 166.2. Any tips on how to step it up?
