Question persimmon vinegar

I saw a bottle of persimmon vinegar at the Asian market over the weekend. It looks interesting but at $10.00 for a 750ml bottle, I wanted to get a second opinion. Has anyone tried it before? I don't really have an educated pallete when it comes to vinegars and have a cupboard full of different types and tend to use the chinese black rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar for most things.

Never heard of it, sorry.

I don't like vinegar of any kind, so I can't help you with this one. About the only vinegar I can tolerate is malt vinegar, I sometimes like it on fish. But I'll only use it on fried fish and since I rarely eat fried foods, I haven't had it in a long time.
