Welcome and I see you are also from Wisconsin!!!!
Here are some of my staple grocery items:

Kashi's TLC Granola Bars=2 pts.
WW ice cream bars= 1 or 2 pts. depending on variety
salad mix, tomatoes, cukes, etc...
grapes, bananas, pears, etc....
FF pudding cups...I do not like the SF varities
SF jello
FF Cool Whip
Choc. covered graham crackers
Kudos bars= 2 pts.
Chicken breasts
Tuna in water
Orieda Cripy Crinkles-french fries (bake them)
Baked tortilla chips with salsa
Diet soda
Low sodium soups
String cheese
Low fat yogurt
Microwave bacon is lower in points than regular
Low fat wheat bread-make a BLT
Low fat Miracle whip-again I don't like the FF variety

Hope this helps...read labels and check out the recipe boards here!
Good luck....

Canned beans, Thomas Light multi-grain english muffins (1 pt for a whole one), low fat cheese, ground turkey, wheat pasta, frozen veggies, light cream cheese!

I could go on and on and my list would be huge, mainly b/c I love to cook and I'm always trying new things. What helps me a lot is picking recipes that I plan for the week and go from there. Throw in some low point snacks like fruits and veggies, and a few "treats", like light ice cream, ff/sg pudding mixes, low fat graham crackers, etc. Good luck!
