Food Talk And Fabulous Finds - nutritional information for recipes

Hi guys and gals, I was wondering how to get the nutritional info for recipes where it's otherwise unstated. Does it work logically, that you just add up all the cals and fat and whatnot for each ingredient and divide it by the number of servings? I've done this a couple of times and tried inputting my results in fitday as a custom food, but often it comes back saying that my calories are too high for that food item based on the fat/protien/carb/etc.

So... anyone know a good way of finding out nutritional info like this? I mostly eat things that AREN'T in packages with handy nutritional info on it.... :dizzy: Thanks!
