Weight Watchers - calling all ww newbiesView Full Version : calling all ww newbies andreaphilip3 03-31-2006, 12:02 PM is there anyone that started ww in the past 1-3 weeks that would like to buddy up? i am a re-start tomm for the 1swt time in bout 3 mnths. indiana_treat 03-31-2006, 01:24 PM i'm down. i did my first weigh in on tuesday, so we'll see if i've lost anything. this is my 2nd time doing weight watchers. my first time i lost about 15 pounds, so i'm hoping to be just as successful. welcome back! andreaphilip3 03-31-2006, 02:06 PM hi indiana! its nice to meet you:) im on my 3rd try..... the first was 11 years ago losing 65 lbs. the second was last june losing 50 lbs and now ive got bout 30 to lose. in fact we are within a few lbs of each other too. im 34, how old are tall are you? i'm 5'5. djmommy 03-31-2006, 03:44 PM I am doing this again also. New but doing it on my own I have all the materials from last year...... I was doing south beach so I would love to join jyou. andreaphilip3 03-31-2006, 03:54 PM hi dj! nice to meet you as well:) the more the merrier!!:) when are you starting? or have you already? ive been trying to get some water in the last few days but thats about all. im starting fresh tomorrow:) mickmax 04-01-2006, 08:20 AM Can i join in??? I'm Deby--I had a baby last year and need to lose about 80 pounds. I just got off of LA weightloss. I only lost 12 pounds and it cost out the a$$! Then i went to the south beach thing and didn't do well. I'm terrible at portion control. I'm doing ww online and have lost about 2 pounds. I am nearing 40 and have found losing weight is much more difficult now. Deby andreaphilip3 04-01-2006, 11:43 AM hi deby! you sure can! come on everyone we can do this!!!!!:) Bloomer 04-01-2006, 12:13 PM May I play too? I rejoined this morning for about the 35th time. The meeting centered on not letting the scale run your life. Well, the very first time I went to a WW meeting, back in 1985, that was also the meeting topic. Back then, I weighed 216 pounds and thought it was Time To Do Something. Today, I weighed in at 300. I lost nearly 30 pounds that first time, getting down to 190 and then I thought I could do it alone. I never got lower than 188, but maintained that weight for about six years. A switch to a much more stressful job threw me off, and up. I am pledging to go to meetings, with a friend, for three months. I will go whether I'm on program or not, but I fully intend to be OP. I'd love to have a group of Spring Starters, sort of like a freshman class :) We can see each other through to graduation. I'm 56, single, no kids, a teacher and writer. andreaphilip3 04-01-2006, 01:29 PM of course bloomer welcome!b its nice to meet you.:) i also attend sat. meetings and returned today for the 3rd time. i lost 65 lbs the 1st time and 50 the second and now i need to lose 35. i just finished my workout and ive had almost 6 waters so far. andreaphilip3 04-02-2006, 01:12 PM hi guys1 how was everyones day yesterday? mine was good. jim's snickerdoodle 04-02-2006, 06:52 PM Hi , i just started the ww flex about a week and a half ago..I am doing it on my own so I am hoping that I will have some weight loss...I think i am eating below my points though..i just am not very hungry and so motivated right now..my biggest problem is exercise..i am do to have knee surgery on the 11th so i can't do much now and certainly won't be able to do much for at least 6 weeks..any help or tips would certainly be appreciated...i have quite a bit to loose but as i said, i am very motivated right now...i look forward to meeting you all... andreaphilip3 04-02-2006, 07:28 PM hey snicker welcome! id say def eat your allotted points. i have no trouble in that dept-im on core and can never stay within the 35. as far as exercise, buy some dumbells and do arm exercises. also, go to a search engine and type chair dancing-----theres a whole series of low impact aerobic videos you can do from a chair. jim's snickerdoodle 04-03-2006, 12:02 PM thanks, andrea, never heard of the chair dancing but i will sure look into that...i have done so well on the ww flex and can't wait to weigh in on Thurs..i'll let you all know how i've done..this is such a great web site..thanks for the encouragement.... andreaphilip3 04-03-2006, 05:01 PM yw:) Bloomer 04-03-2006, 05:18 PM I'm just restarting and an not going to try to do any serious exercise yet. All the walking programs say to start with 10 minutes a day, and I've always pooh-poohed that, but I'm so out of shape, I may only be able to DO 10 minutes a day. Food, sticking within points, is good. So far. I hope everyone has a great week! snowgal 04-03-2006, 05:56 PM I just started WW last Thursday and am hoping it will be the jump-start that I need. I've noticed something in the last two days - I'm not all that hungry (which is odd for me). I'm making sure to include all 5 servings of fruit/veg, and my milks into my points and I'm really full. Such a shock! Is this normal with WW or is something the matter with me? andreaphilip3 04-03-2006, 07:58 PM hi snowgal! no theres nothing wrong its just that thats what protein and fiber does to your body...keep up the good work! hiya bloomer! whats up? any exercise is exercise dont worry about time right now. keep pluggin! im off to swim:) snowgal 04-03-2006, 08:02 PM If this is normal, then I think I'm going to like it! Thanks! andreaphilip3 04-04-2006, 12:52 PM good for you! go get em!' want_it_bad 04-04-2006, 02:00 PM hello im new to this board but not new to weight watchers (acualy the wendi plan)i find that alot easyer i am on souyh beach at the moment but it's just not working so guess what im back so can i please joing your little group please rebelridergirl 04-04-2006, 04:13 PM Hello! Another WW newbie here! I have been on about every diet imaginable. I just came off South Beach. It's a good plan, but I just wasn't making it work for me. I like that with WW you can eat ANYTHING...as long as it fits into your points. I did WW several years ago and didn't lose a whole lot. Most of my co-workers do WW and it's just so much easier to fit into my lifestyle. Anyhow, I'm glad that there are other newbies out here, too. andreaphilip3 04-04-2006, 05:21 PM welcome want it and rebel! all are always welcome:) im having a rough day but im muddling through. so far ive had a big bowl of cereal and fruit and a chicvken salad sandwich made w ff mayo and light rye and a small bowl of grapes and water wise im at about 8 so far. hows everyone else doin? im off to work out:) snowgal 04-04-2006, 05:28 PM I had my first week weigh in today! I lost 5.2 lbs!! I started last Thursday, but the Tuesday morning meeting is more convenient, so I hoped for the best with my loss. I was really surprised, although I'm sure some of it is just water. So far today I have had a banana, a cup of Honey Nut Cheerios with just over 1/2 cup milk, and two salmon oil tablets (dr. recommended). I have 14 points left, but lunch is calling me..... lexiesark 04-04-2006, 05:29 PM I'd like to join, too! just started ww for the first time last week, and I've already lost about 4 lbs! I started losing with exercise/diet over the last year and only managed to lose about 20 lbs, yo-yoing a bit throughout. I'd love to have ww buddies here, too! andreaphilip3 04-04-2006, 06:53 PM hey liz wtg thats awesome!!!!! i hope to be as lucky:) heya lexie congrats on theloss so far! welcome and gl w your wi. ive had 2 c cereal, 1 c milk, 6 berries, a chicken salad sandwich and a small bowl of grapes. astigmatistic 04-05-2006, 03:45 AM :carrot: Hi I started ww on March 7th, for the first time ever! I go to the group sessions. In the first 2 weeks I lost 8.4 pounds. 3rd week a gain of .2 and this week a 1 pound loss.... I admit I can push myself a little harder...just had some stress over a layoff, but I think I am over that hurdle... and I didn't damage myself too much!! thank goodness!! I am hoping to hit the 10 lb loss by next Tuesday! :carrot: andreaphilip3 04-05-2006, 12:09 PM hi guys! welcome astig and congrats!!!! i had a rough one yest but made it through ok:) ok im off to exercise:) friendlykat4u 04-05-2006, 12:36 PM I'd love to join too! I did WW (winning points) a few yrs ago at work, lost about 10 lbs and quit. The pressure at work was too much, everyone was constantly asking questions (people not in WW) as far as food I was eating, how much I was losing. Of course it didn't help that the receptionist annouced every meeting over the PA system. I'm doing WW on my own now since I have the material. I need to lose about 80 lbs, I started 3 wks ago and I've lost 10 lbs already. I was also just reading about the "Wendie Plan", it sounds interesting, but I'm a little confused about it. Has any of you read those posts? andreaphilip3 04-05-2006, 01:40 PM welcome and congrats!!! the wendie plan? yeah. its where you take all of your points and divide up into different amounts per day. friendlykat4u 04-05-2006, 02:05 PM Thanks Andrea! :) Yeah, that's what I was reading on the Wendi plan, but it seems like you end up eating a lot more points than what you're supposed to? Oh btw, has anyone tried WASA crackers? I found a "light" whole grain one and it's 3 for 1 pt! They taste like... nothing! :D But they're great to eat with other things like tuna, hummus, and stuff like that, and they don't add a lot of points. They're big too... you can have 6 whole crackers for only 2 pts! andreaphilip3 04-05-2006, 02:20 PM hey friendly! actually no you dont bc basically what youre doing is taking the daily total each day and adding it all together like 20x7= 140 so youre weekly target would be 140 but instead of using 20mpoints a day, you might use 18 one day, 25 another, 26 another etc until youve eaten all 140 points. does that help? friendlykat4u 04-05-2006, 05:08 PM Don't mean to be a pain, but I just want to make sure I understand. I'm on WW "winning points", now according to the booklet, I have a point range of 26-31. This doesn't match with the original post that has the info on Wendie plan. Wendie plan says that for my current weight, my target point is 28? Shouldn't it be 26? :?: Ames1223 04-06-2006, 01:53 AM I will be restarting in about 1-2wks. I did this really well like 2 yrs ago and I've kicked myself for not sticking to it. I'm going to need a buddy if anyone is interested! JasonsLea 04-06-2006, 03:00 AM You can email me anytime Ames! This is the last time I'm starting WW. I've been on plan for 17 days straight so far. I'm not gonna make a habit of stopping and restarting no matter what. andreaphilip3 04-06-2006, 02:59 PM hi guys! welcome ames and jason! good luck!! friendly ill brb w your answer.... andreaphilip3 04-06-2006, 03:00 PM ok i hope this helps, this is the wendie plan layed out for you based on the WP ww plan: POINTS TARGET - 20 (Weigh Less than 150 lbs) Day 1 - 20 points Day 2 - 25 points Day 3 - 21 points Day 4 - 35 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 20 points Day 6 - 24 points Day 7 - 22 points POINTS TARGET - 22 (Weigh 150 -174 lbs) Day 1 - 22 points Day 2 - 27 points Day 3 - 23 points Day 4 - 37 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 22 points Day 6 - 26 points Day 7 - 24 points POINTS TARGET - 24 (Weigh 175 - 199 lbs) Day 1 - 24 points Day 2 - 29 points Day 3 - 25 points Day 4 - 39 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 24 points Day 6 - 28 points Day 7 - 26 points POINTS TARGET - 26 (Weigh 200 - 224 lbs) Day 1 - 26 points Day 2 - 31 points Day 3 - 27 points Day 4 - 41 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 26 points Day 6 - 30 points Day 7 - 28 points POINTS TARGET - 28 (Weigh 225 - 249 lbs) Day 1 - 28 points Day 2 - 33 points Day 3 - 29 points Day 4 - 43 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 28 points Day 6 - 32 points Day 7 - 30 points POINTS TARGET - 30 (Weigh 250 - 274 lbs) Day 1 - 30 points Day 2 - 35 points Day 3 - 31 points Day 4 - 45 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 30 points Day 6 - 34 points Day 7 - 32 points POINTS TARGET - 31 (Weigh 275 - 299 lbs) Day 1 - 31 points Day 2 - 36 points Day 3 - 32 points Day 4 - 46 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 31 points Day 6 - 35 points Day 7 - 33 points POINTS TARGET - 32 (Weigh 300 - 324 lbs) Day 1 - 32 points Day 2 - 37 points Day 3 - 33 points Day 4 - 47 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 32 points Day 6 - 36 points Day 7 - 34 points POINTS TARGET - 33 (Weigh 325 - 349 lbs) Day 1 - 33 points Day 2 - 38 points Day 3 - 34 points Day 4 - 48 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 33 points Day 6 - 37 points Day 7 - 35 points POINTS TARGET - 34 (Weigh more than 350 lbs) Day 1 - 34 points Day 2 - 39 points Day 3 - 35 points Day 4 - 49 points Super High Day (SHD) Day 5 - 34 points Day 6 - 38 points Day 7 - 36 points rebelridergirl 04-06-2006, 04:30 PM Hello Everyone! Ok, today was my weigh in and it was NOT terrific. Last week (my first week) I lost 5 pounds. Then I royally messed up over the weekend. Uggghhh... Well, basically I did lose .4 of a pound. It does give me more reason to be good this weekend. I think that I really need to just be more disciplined and plan better for the weekend. What are some of your weekend strategies? andreaphilip3 04-06-2006, 04:47 PM rebel, dont get down on yourself as long as at the end of 4 weeks yore 4-8 lbs youre ok. weekends are tough for me also. friendlykat4u 04-07-2006, 10:07 AM Thanks Andrea, I'm going to go with the low end of my book, which is 26. I just started 3 wks ago and I have a looooong way to go, anything to help me out along the way is greatly appreciated! Rebel, weekends are the toughest for me. Try saving some points during the week, so you can have more flexibility during the wknds. I plan a lot to get me thru the wknd. I love to cook so I save the yummiest recipes for the wknd so I can still stay within my point range w/o feeling deprived. I LOVE sweets, so I always keep No Pudge brownie mix and low fat ice cream. I make the brownie in the microwave (one serving w/ff yogurt) is 2 pts, and 1 serving of ice cream (1/2 cup) is another 2 pts. I know it's 4 points but I love it and it satisfies my craving for sweet stuff. Or marshmallows, the big ones, you can have 4 for 2 pts! :) I'm a Cooking Light subscriber and they have great recipes, they have a great website too. Some recipes can only be accessed by subscribers (usually newer ones), but there are a ton that you can review. Hope that helps. Hang in there! Don't give up! andreaphilip3 04-07-2006, 12:15 PM hi ladies!:) tomm is my wi...so far am dn 3 3/4....not what id hoped for but ill tke it. jcogs 04-07-2006, 12:56 PM Hey everyone, mind if I join in? I've tried to jump in some other threads here but I don't really seem to get much response, you guys look like you really care and are there for each other ;-). I was going back and forth trying to figure out which plan would work for me, Atkins or WW, I really need a variety of food to be satisified so I'm going for WW, I know it's not true, but to me, I see Atkins as a "quick fix" like I said, that's only MY opinion, which is why I know I can't do Atkins, I would be doing it for the wrong reasons. I just started WW this morning at home, I have all the books here from a previous attempt. I don't know if anyone else does this but what i've found that works for me is if I do my weigh ins on Fridays and give myself a little play room on the weekends, but with the flex points that may not be needed this time! I'm really excited about this and HOPE I can stick to it this time! I found this hardest thing to do is get moving, i've gaged out a route that's just over a mile at home, i'm doing that everyday and trying to get my water in, does anyone know if it's ok to add the sugarfree flavoring to your water? Does it still count towards your water?? Thanks!! Jeanette andreaphilip3 04-07-2006, 03:53 PM welcome jc! looks like youre on the right track good for you! i do sat wi and then play a bit too esp since im on core. and yes crystal light and all of the others count. theres another group on this board that you may wanna jump in its called losin ladies and iis located in the support group section. snowgal 04-07-2006, 04:52 PM Hi jcogs! I lost 25lbs doing South Beach, but when I started adding more foods back into my diet, I gained it all back. I know people who have really made SB their lifestyle, but I wasn't able to do it. I started on WW last week and was down 5.2lbs after my 1st weigh-in. I don't expect to lose as much for the next weigh-in, but I am getting the hang of what I can, can't, should, and shouldn't eat. My portions are finally under control and I'm finally understanding what a "real" portion looks like. What a shock! Anyway, good luck!!! I've found that the ladies here are really helpful and smart. Jump in and post any time! andreaphilip3 04-07-2006, 06:59 PM wtg snow!!!!! jcogs 04-07-2006, 07:42 PM Thanks so much Andrea and Liz, it's so nice to have some support!! This is it for me....I just got back from shopping, I was going to get some new jeans and shorts, I have basically one pair that fit right now...lol Well...I tried on the size I THOUGHT I wore now and nope...didn't fit...wayyyy too tight!!! I almost died...I didn't even try them on in the store, so now I have to go take them back, i'll be danged if i'm going to buy a bigger size! Looks like i'm sticking to the one pair for now..lol I thought about keeping them as a motivator, but I think i'll just wait until I can go down a size or 2 then go buy something new. snowgal 04-07-2006, 07:52 PM You're not the only one, jcogs. I'm down to only two pairs of jeans that fit me properly. I refuse to buy anything else until I can control my weight and get it down a little. I have smaller pants that are perfectly fine as soon as I can get my big 'ol butt into them! Ha ha! Hang in there! justsomegirl 04-08-2006, 12:33 AM I started on April 3rd and I've already lost SIX pounds! I don't expect it to keep up like that, but I am very happy about my weight loss so far. I'm hoping to get down to 150 by early August... that's a 55 lb loss from my start weight of 205 (see my weight loss ticker!). Since I'm not attending meetings, I am trying to get all of the online support I possibly can! andreaphilip3 04-08-2006, 12:17 PM hoi guys! welcome justsome and congrats!! i wi today and was dn 4.5....34 total. hey snow: i know i wont buy nutthin either. jim's snickerdoodle 04-08-2006, 12:25 PM Hi all...i am so excited..yesterday was the first day to weigh in since i began 2 weeks ago (yesterday was day 15 to be exact) and i lost a total of 14 lbs..i was so excited but i think my dr was more so for me...i know it won't keep up like this, especiallyl since i'm scheduled for knee surgery on tues and won't be able to get around much for awhile, but i did check into the chair dancing as someone suggested and the library i work at is going to order a video for me to help me out...yeah!!!! Anyway, i am confused by something i am seeing on here..i am doing the flex plan with ww, is that different than the wendi's plan? As i said before a friend passed on her book to me to get me started as i don't have the time to attend ww meetings, but i sure don't want to mess up my weight loss plan...any help would be so appreciated..if anyone wants to buddy up with me i would love to have a partner that needs to loose about the same as i do which (gasp) is about 110 lbs (there i finally said it!!!!! but of course i am minus 14 on that now)...please email me if you are intrested...i'd love to have a partner..thanks for letting me share my great news with you all...it certainly does help.... snowgal 04-08-2006, 01:04 PM Jim's and justsomegirl, you two are doing awesome!!! It's a great feeling, isn't it? Congrats! andreaphilip3 04-08-2006, 03:21 PM hey snicker thats awesome congrats!!!! richard simmons also has a video you can do. its available on his site. andreaphilip3 04-08-2006, 06:05 PM Southwest Pork Chops Brown chops in skillet. Cook on low for 6-8 hours friendlykat4u 04-09-2006, 10:47 PM I see I'm not alone on the "I'm not buying bigger clothes" thing. I got lucky and had a friend of mine give me some of her clothes. She lost a lot of weight and I got the hand me downs! :D But I refuse to buy anything more. I have things in my closet that would fit me once I lose around 20 lbs. So I'm hanging in there! Welcome jcogs! Good choice with WW, I've tried a lot of different diets and WW is the one that gives you the freedom to eat whatever as long as it's within your points. I don't think I could go on forever on any plan that has "forbidden" foods. WW teaches you how to eat everything in moderation. As far as the Wendie plan, it's basically WW "modified". There is a long post explaining all about it, look for it under the WW threads. It's basically having high & low point days, still staying within you weekly point allowance, but you alternate to give your body a boost to burn more calories. That's the short of it. I haven't tried it, but I'm going to start tomorrow. I've been doing WW "winning points" for 3 wks and I've lost 12 lbs already! :D I know most is water weight, but hey, it's something! Everybody here is great! It has awesome support, all kinds of info, and just friendly chat! :) I love it! friendlykat4u 04-09-2006, 10:54 PM Welcome Jim's! :) Read my post above about Wendie plan. I think all WW are very similar. With flex don't you get an extra # of points each week? I'm doing WW "winning points" and there's a range of points based on what you weigh. You can "bank" points from day to day and use them that same week. There aren't any extra points on that one. andreaphilip3 04-10-2006, 12:08 AM hi guys! that was nice of your friend...... astigmatistic 04-11-2006, 01:20 AM way to go everyone!! My weigh in is tomorrow... and I had a bad week... I binged on chocolate. I didn't journal that day.... I think it was the only day I wasn't OP. :`( I hope I don't gain... Lots of things going on around home so it's hard to keep motivated..that's no excuse though! I did go out and get a bike last weekend, sheesh...first time in at least 20 yrs that i've ridden..lol i've done pretty well with it..I think!...lol i've ridden at least 3-4 times a week and it's a 6mile ride each time. I haven't been paying attention to what i'm eating though ;-( it's time to get back on track!!! i've joined the Memorial Day goal to see if that can help keep me going. I think my biggest problem is drinking the water...I know how important that is and I just can't for the life of me get it all down...gonna keep pushing it though! Good luck everyone! Jeanette andreaphilip3 04-18-2006, 09:29 PM hey jeanette! i know i lost my motive and cant find it!!! astigmatistic 04-19-2006, 12:57 AM oops!! Push myself to work harder!!!!! push!!!!! andreaphilip3 04-19-2006, 01:38 PM wtg astig!!! jcogs 04-19-2006, 02:00 PM Great job astigmatistic, if I lost 3.2 i'd be jumping off the roof!!! ;-) I'm doing this if it kills me! lol We have a new puppy so that gives me a little more exercise, I walk him twice a day so he'll stop his whining...I don't know what I was thinking saying yes to a puppy!! Between the bike now and the puppy my thighs are killing me, which I hope is a good sign..lol sunshinedaizy 04-19-2006, 02:20 PM Hello Everyone! Hi Andrea... How are things going? I haven't been Around in a long time...Since December. I had some Computer issues. I gained weight also. So I was playing with some other plan, Dr. Phil and Somersizing and gained weight with both..So I decided to go back to Wendie Plan. I know it works when I work the Plan. I started a website and MSN Group to get all my WW info into 1 place, Finally. I restarted March 20th. But have not been real good about staying completely on plan. But I started at 220 lbs and 313.625 Inches. I am not at 215 and 302.313 Inches. So 5 lbs and 11.312 Inches gone...in 5 Weeks is good. I know it could be better. But like I said, It havent been completly on plan. I work in a deli and sometimes I just can not stay away from some of the foods. My biggest Problem is I LOVE Food! I love to "have a party in my mouth" I cook really good food and then over eat. So I am working on that. I am glad summer is getting here...I can get outside and exercise and Grow some veggies. I love fresh veggies. Well I am going to go...Talk to you all later! jcogs 04-19-2006, 02:26 PM Congrats on your 5 lb loss Wendy, I'll take that anyday!! ;-) I'm with you I love fresh veggies, it's my favorite time of the year. I started in Oct. and I was doing great but I had some financial problems come up and I had to quit..Thinking I can do it on my own.. I gain 4 lbs back from Jan till I just rejoined..My problem is I am having such a hard time getting motivated again.. Even though I know it works and I know how to do it..I keep eating the wrong foods... I need all the support I can get... andreaphilip3 04-21-2006, 06:46 PM welcome tryin':) id offer advice, but i feel like a ww life size poster child of what not to do.... mom2_2boys 04-21-2006, 07:30 PM I would like to join in too!! Did WW after baby 2 lost 25 pounds in like 5 months (I was nursing)...have gained it all back by his second birthday. Just started back this past Tuesday and so far so good!!! I know it works and I know I can loose. This time after reaching goal, I am going to continue with the meetings and weekly weigh in's. My cousin reminds me all the time that WW is not a diet, but a way of life....we have to change our way of thinking and eating food. To all of you who are working so hard...BRAVO!!!! Stick with it, it does work. andreaphilip3 04-21-2006, 10:21 PM welcome mom:) sunshinedaizy 04-22-2006, 02:00 PM Trying...You have to find the motivation in yourself. But we can give lots of advice. This is what I do each week: I start by Planning what I want... It doesnt usually change much I Use the same ingredients each week and just make different things. I cookiall of my food up for my meals on Sunday. Cutting stuff up and putting in to 1 servins size containers. That Way I have my foods ready to eat. I all I do is grab, heat and eat. My shopping List: (This is the same each week:) I buy 3 lbs Chicken Breast (1 pt per oz.), 3 lbs of lean Ground Turkey (1 pt per oz.) and 1 - 5 lb bag of frozen Mixed Veggies (0 pt per Cup). I also buy a bag of apples (1 pt each), bunch of Bananas ( 2pts each), a bag of grapes (1 pt per Cup), a head or two of Lettuce (0pts for 1 cup), a package of Tomaotes(0 points per 1 Med) and a bag of Baby Carrots (1 pt per cup). I buy 1 loaf of Weight Watchers Whole wheat Bread (1 point per 2 slices) and a Package of Either Engilsh Muffins or Bagels (both are 1 for 1 piece) . (also by Weight Watchers brand) I also puchase FF SF Yogurt (2 point for 4 oz. cup) and FF Mozzarella (or chedder Or both)(1 point for 3 Tbsp) or FF Cottage Cheese(3 pts for 1 cup) depending on what I want.. Then I choose 1 WW Snack or treat item. This week I bought Ice Cream Sandwiches. Last week I bought the Carrot Cake things. These vary between 1 and 2 points depending on what you get. I buy these things at Walmart. What I do: I cook my Chicken breast either by poaching them in a Homemade Taco Sauce and shredding them up or grill them with some grill seasong. Depends what I am in the mood for. I then take the Grd.Turkey and divide it into 2 or 3 portions...Cook 1 just crumbled and add Taco Seasonings. Cook another into a meatloaf and If I make 3 different things...I make some kind of Sausage patties. The all it put into 2 or 3 oz. Serving sizes. I eat 5 times a day and I usually eat protein with each meal and a carb with that...I consider Carbs to be fruit, veggies and grains. So I always have protein and a "carb" at each meal. For Meals I have: *I will have Taco Salads with the Taco flavored Turkey. With lettuce, tomato, onion, Olives, Salsa and FF Ranch Dressing. * I make Sanwiches with the grilled Chicken Breast with lettuce tomato onions and LF Mayo dressing by Helmans. * I take the Taco shredded Chicken and put that over a baked Potato with Corn and FF Cheese. * I will take Black beans, Shredded chicken and Corn and layer it between Tortillas shelles and make a Casserole and put cheese on top..Like A burrito. * Meat loaf and Mashed Potato is great with some hot veggies. *Turkey Sausage for breakfast with an engilsh muffin and ff cheese. Sometimes I add a Egg to make an Egg McMuffin... The Possibilities are endless. My family loves the foods that I cook so they eat some of it too... Sometimes, at the end of the week I have extras, so I put them in the freezer for another time. Have fun with your recipes. If you want any recipes...Let me know..I have tons of them. Well I have to go..I am hungry! LOL Talking about all this food...LOL Have a great day! Wendy vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
