GOOD MONDAY MORNING EVERYONE!

Don't have time to post right now, have to get Michael off to school soon then come home for my walk, but wanted to make sure I got our MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY done early in the morning, so here's my contribution for MM:

http://members.aol.com/debelli/monday_morning_thought.jpg

THE WILL TO ACHIEVE

Do you have the will to achieve? You already have the necessary basic skills -- you have the ability to learn, you can think, make decisions and take action. The resources you need are out there. The knowledge and information you'll need can also be obtained.

The big question is this. Do you really want to achieve? When you decide you do, when you commit to making it happen, you can reach whatever goals you choose to pursue.

The biggest factor in your success is you. Knowledge, information, skills and resources all play a part, to be sure. Yet success hinges mostly on your will to make it happen. Without sufficient will, all the advantages in the world won't do you much good. With enough willpower, no obstacle can prevent you from achieving what you have decided to achieve.

Are you willing to make it happen? If you're not, you can be willing anytime you choose. It's a simple decision and it is up to you. Be willing, and your life can be whatever you decide it's going to be.

-- Ralph Marston

I'll check in with you all later this morning-have a wonderful SB WEEK!!!!

Boy was Frog right. . . the weather has really been nasty the last several days. I got all geared up to go for a walk Saturday, stepped out the door, and it started raining on me. Because that would've been my 1st attempt since starting SB, and I'm not enough of a trooper yet to exercise in the rain, I promptly came back inside.
Better luck this week (I hope). Although I have to go back to work. Have to start preparing for all those sweet little first graders who'll be showing up in a couple of weeks. :dizzy:

I wanted everyone to know that I spoke with Belinda Wannabe last night on the phone. She is bringing her mom into town today to move her into the assisted living/Alzheimer's home. Bless her heart, she was having a terrible time. This past weekend has been very emotional and difficult. Lots of folks have come by her mom's to say "good-bye" and it's been hard for her to endure. She is going to need lots of TLC this week. Thought you would all like to know.

Deb - I think the carob peanuts are O.K. They are supposed to be sugar free also. They better not be lying to me!

Adam - Happy Birthday to You!!!

Frog - sorry you are having such a rough time, sweety! We will take a road trip to Yoder's Country Market. You go out NC62 north all the way to Yanceyville, then you make a couple of turns. It's easy to find, but it would be fun to go together. Thanks for your sweet comments about our family.

VAbutterly - great photos! You're a doll. Hey, I've got a great photo of me with BelindaW. Maybe if I can find it in this house somewhere, I can have her scan it for us!

Melf - I don't have any other browser options on my computer, but I'm learning how to "psyche-out" this thing a little.

I'm trying to think of something motivational to say to everyone, but I haven't been very motivated this week. . . hmmmm. . .I'll think about it and report back. Hey, wait! Hearing from all of you and seeing your results has made me more resolved that I can do this too. Your will power is rubbing off on me. What a wonderful, special group of people. Thanks for being there! Hope everyone has a lovely week!

Good Monday morning everyone. Just got home from bike riding with my hubbys Aunt. I am so nice lol! she is a big woman whos hubby just retired and wanted to see where the bike path was here in my town. Her hubby just started back to the gym now that he is retired and the bike path is right across the street-boy do i have a big mouth!!!! After our ride she said "o.k now Roland goes Mon, wens, and Fri-see you wendsday??" Ugggg! i have to leave my house at 7:05 (i rode there from my house!) I guess i can deal with it for two weeks untill she goes to Fla. for two weeks! I am planning on liftiing some weights for a bit too. I felt like i got a work out just didn't sweat (maybe cuz it was to early!) We got about an hour in soooooo! maybe a different type of excersise will help!
We stayed at the beach over night after dropping number 1 son off at camp -the little sucker didn't even hug and kiss me!! lol. The food Sat and Sun was not Sugarbuster legal! hubby fell off the wagon big time i was shocked! Todays a new day right?? OHHHHHH!!!!! in our travels i found a Big health food store. No active nectar! i did find some legal bagels which i never can around here. They where pricey but hubby said go for it! They had tons of Ezicials bread and pitas. the other thing i saw but didn't buy because i didn't have any ice in the cooler was a ready made wheat pie crust! I was foaming at the mouth but couldn't drive 3 hours with that to thaw! I really need to get to a big health food store with a cooler. This way of eating would be easier, but i have done well with what i can find!

Deb-loved the pics!!!! your kids are very cute! piggy back looked like fun!

Grinchy-when does school start for you? I love the sound of that!!! i can't wait till my little buggers are gone, but then i will be whining cuz i miss them!

Trying to remember the posts from yesterday but of course they names don't go with all the posts that i have in my head!

Belinda- ((hugs)) hope you got mom moved safely!

HI to everyone else!!!!!!!!

Good Monday morning everyone

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYMN

I missed posting on the weekend as usual as I was working, plus I worked a double shift on Friday, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I did manage to get a bike ride in last evening plus I did 5 miles on the SB. That was the first I had done all weekend. I'll have to try to make up for it on my days off.

AmyG - Breads should be made with Whole Grain flour as this is the least processed. Whole Meal is more refined which causes the glycemic index to be higher. It also has some of the nutrients removed whereas Whole Grain has all the nutrients intact. If you are using wheat bread it should be made with Stone Ground Whole Wheat. The Rye Bread you mentioned may be O.K. - I think it depends on the amount of whole meal flours compared to the whole grain that it contains. The only other ingredient I see that is questionable are the sultanas but I think it would depend on how many are in the bread. If you see just a couple in each slice of bread I can't see that it would be a problem. JMHO. When I have coffee I use either 2% milk or 10% cream.

There is an article on our FOOD INFORMATION BOARD about Whole Grain Flours which you might like to check out. Here's the link:
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=2365

Deb - It was great 'talking' to you the other day. Even if you have no cooking or sewing skllls (as you say) you have other skills which are appreciated by all of us, and that is good COMMUNICATION SKILLS. Without that this board would not be as successful as it is. They were great pics you posted. The piggy back ride looked good. Lauren looks like a second Debbie. Glad to hear the scale is going down again. Too bad you discovered Eli's hiding place for the cookies. I guess he'll have to find another one :D

Kim - Sorry to hear of the trouble you are having staying on the wagon. For me the thing that keeps me going is that no way do I want to gain back what I have lost - which is a total of 35 pounds. Even though I haven't lost much recently and it is coming off very slowly I still get comments from people at work, even from those I see quite frequently, about how much I have lost and how much thinner I look. A few people comment on others who have lost and gained it all back and some and seem surprised that I have kept off what I have lost. These are all incentives to keep going. I am not perfect by any means as I do like a treat once in a while (too often probably) although I do not eat much sweet stuff but sometimes too much of the legal stuff. I hope you can find the strength to keep going as you know it is a healthy woe and it does work. I just hope you don't sabotage what you have achieved so far. You know we are all here for you. KEEP AT IT GIRL. Hope you had a good weekend with your family.

Fly - I wouldn't worry about those carrots - raw carrots only have a gi of 30. It's the cooked carrots that have the higher gi. I have a school picture of my eldest son taken in either kindergarten or grade 1 where he has a chunk chopped out of the front of his hair. Glad you enjoyed the weekend with your family. I enjoyed seeing your pictures. I see you have lost 12 pounds since you started a month ago. That's an average of three pounds per week which I think is a good loss. Some people do lose a lot to begin with then it slows down - this is not unusual. The initial loss is probably mainly fluid. It is recommended that we lose no more than an average of two pounds per week. If we are losing more we are probably losing muscle not fat. I'm sure you will be losing some more soon. Just hang in there.

Rhroo - Have a good week while son #2 is at camp.

Nance - Hope Dan the Man got home safely. I'm awaiting the next episode of the Love Story.

Frog - Hope you are feeling better. It must be a good feeling to be told that you are a 'healthy woman'. Sounds like you have found a good, considerate doctor. The one you had before sounds rather ignorant. Some of them have absolutely no bedside manner.

Adams_Rib - Hope you enjoyed shopping and got the furniture you wanted. Your hubby sounds like a smart guy. It took many years before I got the furniture I wanted and there's still room for improvement.

Melf - Hope you have a good day at work tomorrow. It's good that you can get back slowly. Hopefully you will be feeling better before you have your long stretch of days to work. I enjoyed our chat the other day.

Solshine - Enjoyed reading your story of how you met Vince.

Grinchy - Congrats on the 2 pounds lost. Your London Broil sounded delicious. I haven't done any crockpot cooking for a while maybe I should try it again. Sorry you missed out on your walk on Saturday. Hope you are able to get started soon. Thanks for filling us in on BelindaW and her Mom. This must be a very difficult time for her.

BelindaW - My thoughts and prayers are with you. I can understand what you must be going through.

Gatorga - That sounds like an interesting article you found on the Food Pyramid. It does reinforce what we are doing. I'll have to see if I can find the article on line. Hope you have a good vacation.

BOB - Glad you enjoyed the engagement party. Hope you are feeling better by the time you get to visit the Detox Dungeon!!!!!!!!!

Gotta run. My ds returned from camping yesterday and I have quite a pile of laundry waiting for me.

Have a good week everyone.

Marie.

Good Morning Again!

While taking Michael to school this morning the heavens decided to open up and rain down cats and dogs. I figured I'd bag my walking today, but not long after getting home, the sun came out and I figured I really had no excuses not to walk. It was about an hour later than I usually get out, so it was much hotter-so I just walked. Thought I'd make it short, but ended up going the full 4.5 miles I usually go. I thought to myself, tomorrow is the EOM and I have a goal and this walk may help me reach that goal-so here's hoping!

I'm actually at my EOM goal weight of 127, scale moved down again, though I'm still up 1.5lbs from my all time low-I'm just hoping I can maintain this weight for tomorrow's EOM goal or go down (that wouldn't be so bad), and hopefully, have a good WIW as well.

I don't see that we have any August birthdays next month. If someone's b.day IS in August, please let me know, as I don't see anyone with a BIO on the BIO BOARD listed as having one in August.

Also, I started the SUGAR BUSTERS 2001 PHOTO ALBUM BOARD I thought once 2002 rolls around, we'll make a new thread and so on. Whenever you have a picture/picture link you'd like to share with the board, please, post it right here on the WEEKLY SUPPORT BOARD. If it's one you'd like to keep up, then post it on the PHOTO ABLUM BOARD to archive it.

GRINCHY, sorry to hear you had bad weather and didn't get in your walk-hope you are able to do so before you have to go back to the kiddies-once you start walking, you'll be amazed on how good you feel. It rained here, so I went out after-if it was much longer of a wait, I would of said forget it, but just an hour later and a little hotter, but I got out there:) Thanks for the update on BELINDA, we're all here to support her any way we can. Where did you buy the carob peanuts? The only ones I know of that are sugar free are ones from SUNSPIRE. They also have unsweetened carob covered almonds which are delicious, so I rarely buy them (haven't in a few months). Enjoy them, but remember, MODERATION!!!!

RHOO, haven't forgotten the pics-they were too big to load up on the regular site, so I will go ahead and load them on my ftp space that AOL gives me today and send you the links for you to post them. Hey, why not make your own pie crust-seems easy enough, gosh knows I have enough recipes for them, plus, there are some on the recipe boards. I don't know about the piggy back ride being fun, I was sorta screaming thinking Michael was going to drop me, BUT, to me, it was more amazing to think my son was able to pick me up! I still don't think of myself as thinner, so this was just another thing I experienced that I never thought I would! Hey, 3lbs til goal?!? I'm anxiously awaiting for you to hit it!!!

ROSALIE, it was fun chatting with you as well the other day. Thanks for pulling up the FOOD INFORMATION BOARD. Lauren would LOVE to hear that you think she looks like me, but honestly, she looks a lot like her Dad, which she isn't thrilled with having his attributes-but I guess there must be some of my looks there because many people say she looks like me. I think I may bake again today and give whatever I don't scarf down to Eli to hide-trust me, he can hide things REALLY good-I just have to be out of eye range when he pulls whatever out of it's hiding place. It's funny how I can have so much control over chocolate that I use to not have, but when I bake something SB LEGAL, I have absolutely NO CONTROL. I think if I were to get the nutritional information while it's baking, that may change. I eat the stuff and THEN see the calories, fats, etc. and then I stop-maybe if I knew this information before, it would help me curtail the binge! Thanks for the kind words about my communication skills:) How's the scale for you today???

AR, any big plans for your birthday tomorrow?

Okay, I'm headed to the kitchen to get some vittles, so I'll check in with you all later! Please remember, TOMORROW IS CHAT AT 9:15PM EST Hope you all can make it!

Morning ALL

I'm still around, but just busy.

Haven't had time to write or read much. Had Marie's b-day party saturday and we swam all day sunday. The party was great and she had a ball and received some wonderful gifts. Will miss her soo much after she leaves tomorrow. Going to see her tonight and wish her a happy b-day again 16 years old. I only wish.

Frog- My parents actually hosted her and she was with us alot though. They did it through the school on a french exchange student summer program. She actually wants to stay alot longer and we talked about maybe her coming back during her holiday time off. It's cheaper for her to fly out of Spain instead of france and on the program they have to fly out of France. If she come over in the winter it wouldn't be apart of the exchange program. I think we'll be having a long time relationship with her. She is such a joy to be around.

Well am doing well with the foods, but still not weighed myself. Still around the same though, I know I haven't gained at all. I have actually got my cubicle neighbor to start SB and she's already lost a few lbs.

Well gotta get back to work.

Debbie - Have you thought of checking ingredients on Fitday before you bake? They have listings of individual items like whole wheat flour, margarine, oil, peanut butter etc. If you made a list of the things you commonly use you could figure things out before you bake and know how many calories, carbs etc. per serving.

Marie.

Deb - we got the sugar-free carob-coated peanuts at that Mennonite country store (Yoder's Country Market) in NC that we visited on Sat. I don't know what brand they are because they buy in bulk and then repackage in smaller amounts. Don't worry. . . I won't eat too many cause they don't give me enough of a chocolate thrill anyway! :D

I polished off the last of my husband's London Broil/stew from Sat. night. Now I have a bit of indigestion.

I forgot to tell about how I met my husband. . .we were both in a community theatre production of "H.M.S. Pinafore" here in Burlington, NC back in 1987. Not long after that he asked me out on our first date, and even though I said "yes" I was still somewhat hesitant. A close friend asked, "Do you want to get married, or do you just want to go out and have a good time?" I said, "I want to have a good time." That same friend and his wife directed our wedding! We were married on June 2, 1990.

Have a teeth-cleaning appt. this afternoon. Can't wait for that! :p Catch everyone later!

MOTIVATION MONDAY CONTRIBUTION: "The only failure is not knowing how to be happy". Celine Dion:My Story

Did my run early today and I find I like that. I can see why Debbie gets it over with early. It's raining for day #2 here. Hope it clears pretty soon. Still at 173. Happy it's not 174. I think I am so bummed about weight because I was secretly hoping to be under 170 for the reunion. Dear, wise Rosalie and Debbie are right and I know it. It's just hard when I currently have so much anti-SB flak from dh. I was careful not to talk about it much with him and not to overspend at the store for special food. He still commented at the restaurant the other night when I asked the waitress if flour was in the she crab soup. "Just order it". The only thing I can think about is "is he jealous of the time I spend on the board?" I am tougher than this. It's just more difficult when I'm stuck on the scale. I missed my 1 month anniversary on SB yesterday. Drank 32 oz of h20 so far and I'm swimming.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYMN!

Grinch-Working with 1st graders can be such fun! You have the coolest job! Looking foward to the pictures.

BW-My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Rhoo-Sounds like a sticky situation with Aunt. Good news is....she probably won't be riding in the winter. I, too, am in the anticipation/dread of back to school. congratulations of finding such a great health food store.

Rosalie-Thanks for the encouragement. 35 lbs. So awesome. Glad to see you're still enjoying the bike. Wish I could ride with you.

Deb-It sounds great to stumble onto positives of weight loss. You deserve it.

RALY-Sounds like you made quite an impact on Maries life. Sorry it has to end so soon.

I'm at home today, trying to recover my weekend. Can't beleive that I thought I might get somethings done but have the big "D" instead.

Have spoken with the doc's office today regarding that "comatose" medicine I took Friday p.m., the doc is willing to change from 75 mg to 25 mg, but nothing less. Let's hope that I am not ZOMBIE girl tomorrow or I will be staying home again. I have been having an ongoing gyno problem for years, and this is the first doc that has really tried to take an active approach to treating it, therefore, I feel the need to try my best to make it work, even if I am tired until I build up a tolerance.

I hope everyone is having a good day. More gray skys here today, but did catch a glimpse of sunshine. Was able to run yesterday, only got in 2.5 miles though.

GRINCHY - I didn't know that is how you met D! Are you still involved in community theatre? Thanks for the update on BW. I knew this would be a tough weekend. I didn't give much thought to the fact that friends and neighbors would also be stopping in. YIKES! Please let me know if there is anything I can do! Do you think that I could take her some dinner tonight or tomorrow night? Is her sis and her 2 kids coming to town also? I'm in the phone book. Last name Palmer. Road trip to grocery sounds like fun.

DEB - Love the photo album idea!

RIB - Happy Birthday!!!

Gotta go,
Peace,

Hey All!

Well, Mom didn't come and I made some oatmeal (acutally, it's mixed grains-oats, wheat, etc) and found myself having eaten 5 of them. Before Michael left the house, I packed them up and had him hide them from me! Why did I even bake??? :?: I bow my head down in disgust!::s: If the scale climbs tomorrow, I'll surely know why!

RALY, sounds like everyone had a good time at the party. Michael wants me to host a French student one year, I told him I'd think about it. He's going into his 5th year of French this year and hopes to get to France one day soon. That's great you got a person close to you to start SB-you'll be backbones for each other!!!

ROSALIE, of course I thought about doing it before hand, but when I get the urge to bake something, I do it right then and there and think of everything nutritionally after the fact, besides, it wouldn't be as much fun:lol: Just an excuse to have more than I should. As you can see from above, I did it again! Next time, promise to do the math BEFORE I bake!;)

GRINCHY, I'm sure THOSE people wouldn't lie to you, now would they. I actually have come to like carob a lot. I can tell you, the carob covered peanuts here in the stores are like $5.69 a pound, that alone can keep one from eating too many! What other goodies did you find there??? I love going to places like that! Thanks for sharing your "how we met story". Hope your pearly whites had a nice day at the spa!!!!

FLY, don't let ANYONE, not even DH make you change in regards to SB. Underneath, maybe he doesn't want you to lose, maybe he's insecure-who knows with me and their minds these days! You have every right to ask about anything you are eating. Eli STILL tries to get me to try foods that aren't SB legal and he knows I won't cave in, yet, he keeps offering and suggesting-it doesn't work. I have my mind set-and NO ONE can change it! Too bad I don't have my mind set on cleaning and cooking!

FROG, I expect some of those outrageous pics of you to grace our PHOTO ALBUM!!!! Hope you do better with the lighter dose of that medicine!

Okay, I'm outta here for a while, will check in later this evening!

Had another rough day today, but hey, I'm going to survive this thing if it kills me! :D I see the Neuro tomorrow am. Will post results.

We've started VBS last night & although I'm not teaching, I am a helper & we sure had a good turnout for our small town. 125 in attendance.WOW! Well, I'm doing a quick post from Sunday's board, then off to get ready. Have to get supper ready & pick up 2 of the grandsons for VBS.

Gatorgal Another tid-bit on Eraste Autin, did you know he was a twin? A brother they said. Hey, funny story about your boyfriend showing up for a visit when you were going to pick up boyfriend ie: dh at the airport. LOL Hey, I LOVE grilled tilapia. I found some at Super WalMart, not a bad price either. Need to get some more soon. You just made me hungry for some. Sure hope you enjoyed St Augustine!

Debbie Yes, I guess it's possible that I may be grinding my teeth at night. The ENT had suggested that. Thurman said he's never noticed that I do, but then again...he sleeps like a log, so he wouldn't know. Glad you found those cookies. Cute picture of you & Michael. Lauren sure looks alot like you. Cute kids. Love the picture board!

FROG, Glad to hear that your GYN appt went well & you do sound encouraged. Girl, 33 is young yet. You have time to get that family started. Good luck with that if you're thinking about it. Your medication sounded kind a like mine there, made you a zombie, huh? Yes, I was feeling better for a few days there, but yesterday was the PITS! I go back to Neuro doc tomorrow. I'll post an update on that. Thanks for the well wishes. I do appreciate all of the concern each one has shown to me over the past few weeks.

BUTTERFLY, So glad to hear that your visit turned out so well. Yes, I think I can understand the "blue time" you're having now. How far away are you from the family? Girl, don't fret over the stale in the weight. Some of us stale out for a while before starting to lose again, but don't let it defeat you. The scale WILL move again. Hey, loved the picture you posted of you & your dh. And what a nice looking family. You looked really happy.

KAREN, That fish boil sounds a little like our cajun crawfish boils where we add onion, corn & potaoes to the boil with lots of seasoning. Sorry to hear that your mom is on the decline. My mom seems to have adjusted really well to the Nursing Home since May. We had a phone put in for her so we can keep in touch more often, even when we can't go, but she does get lonely if we don't go often enough. I saw she had called today while I was at work, so I just called her back. I'm hoping to bring her spend the night maybe tomorrow night cause my youngest, Jodi will be coming to visit Wed. & that's her "baby" LOL Will say an extra prayer for you girl.

See ya'll tomorrow evening

Happy Birthday Kymm! Hope it's a great day for you with lots of hugs and kisses and attention from those you love! Have fun!

Great pictures everyone! Now that I have the scanner hooked up and running maybe I'll find some picture that I don't absolutely hate and have someone help me load it. I'm not versed on how to get anything on the web. My son is after me to figure out how to burn CDs now, so that will be my next project! Still don't have all my old programs loaded on this computer, but had to replace the floppy drive--they sent me the new one and I had to put it in. Wasn't hard, but it was kind of interesting.

I am so up and down now following this WOE. Seems like as soon as I reach that low point that I got to, I just get cocky and eat stuff I know is not going to help me lose any more. Then the scale goes up and I'm good for a couple of days and then it starts all over. I am truly not in the mental place I was in when I started this in January. I think it has to do with a big change in my daily routine now tha school is out for summer and the fact that we have had some stressful situations going on here. I shouldn't let that hold me back, but I think that it is.

Melf - you are at least fortunate that you can have phone conversations with your mother. We can call her anytime, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to have a good conversation with her since she doesn't remember anything. It gets pretty one-sided. Unfortunately, it will only get worse. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Rhoo - you keep plugging away and making progress. Please send a little of that determination my way, ok? LOL

If I can remember, I will join you for chat tomorrow. I usually don't think about it until about 9 CST and it's usually too late. We are having all of our windows replaced next week, so I have to start doing some prep work as we will be leave for Milwaukee for the weekend. My house is so unorganized I hate to have these construction guys come in and see it, and they have to go into every room in the house! Serves me right for not dealing with clutter right away!

Hi everyone. I thought I would just post a quickie to let those of you who were asking where I was, that I went to the mountains last week. We left Thurs afternoon, and got back about 5pm yesterday. There are some hectic things going on right now. Right before I left for the mountains, the Assisted Living place called me to tell me my gma's bp was high... 220/110. They called back and said they called ambulance to take her to ER. I was in touch with ER a couple times, and from what they were saying gma would go home that same day...NOTTTTTTTTTT:mad: Long story short, it has been and still is one long nightmare. She is still there - and she shldn't be. They did a cardiolite on her this morning and I sat there for 4 hours without getting any results..... or ANY assistance from the nurses station. My gma wants to go home soo bad. They hospital really isn't doing her any good. They may come in ONCE in a 24 hour peroid to do the vitals. I am sooo ready to take a machine gun gun up there!!!!!! On top of all this, I had a few other stressful things going on last week too. My stomach has been KILLING me. Sorry this is a really negative post.

I just saw where you asked about me, Melf, and I didn't want you worrying. Thanks so much for your concern. Congrats for being the tough gal and getting back to work. Don't overdo it.

Thanks, Deb, for posting that pic of us!!!!!!!!! I really wish we could have spent more time together.

I want to try to get caught up on reading posts. I hope we all have a great SB week!!!!!!!!!

Good Tuesday Morning!

http://members.aol.com/debelli/woo_hoo.jpg
And, I do mean good! What a great morning so far, and as I start this post, it's only 8am!!! I woke up early this morning and decided to try and get in my walk BEFORE taking Michael to school. I figured, no sun as it was only 5:55am when I went outside, and the fact that I was VERY limited on time because I had to get back to take him to school seemed to push me a little bit more. Anyhow,I HAD MY BEST TIME EVER!!!!!!! I beat my last best time more than 1 1/2 minutes!!!! I did my 4.5 miles in 49:20!!!! I was so psyched when I saw that time, I truly can't believe it.:spin:

On top of that, even though I was in a sort of feeding frenzy yesterday (nothing seemed to satisfy me-I get like this at times), I was able to stay at 127 today, so I made my EOM goal:) I set my next months EOM goal for 125-cross your fingers for me!

TODAY IS TUESDAY TIPS and I don't know about anyone else, but I have crappy posture that I really need to work on. I found this article on the web, but remember I had read long ago in a magazine that good posture can make you appear 10lbs lighter, and if you try this in front of a mirror, you CAN see a difference.

Back problems are common, and many cases can be prevented through proper posture. Maintaining good posture requires paying attention to the way you stand and sit. One thing you can do is to keep your stomach in by comfortably moving your belly button towards your spine. Also, you should stand straight with your head up. One way to do this is to imagine that you are a puppet and you have a string coming out of your head. Imagine that someone is pulling up on the string which causes you to stand at attention. Don't forget to keep your head up, and shoulders out. One way to keep your shoulders in correct position is to keep your thumbs facing forward. If you thumbs brush up against your thighs when you walk you probably have rounded shoulders. Another benefit of good posture is that it makes you look 10 pounds lighter. Establishing good posture takes effort, but after a while it becomes natural. Give it a try.

Also, please don't forget, TONIGHT IS CHAT AT 9:15PM EST Hope you can be there!

MELF, sorry to hear you had another rough day, but it sure sounds like you're a true trooper. I'm sure with your positive attitude, you will come through this. About the teeth grinding, Michael had his Dad buy him a mouth guard from Eckerds that you mold at home-you may want to look into that and see if maybe this would help you a bit-worth a try!

BOB, I don't know how much time we will actually be spending in the Dungeon, but as much as you love movies, I must share one of my favorites with you at some point-maybe Sunday night after my Aunt's party! I'm counting down the whips, I mean days til you arrive:devil:

KAREN, would love to see some pictures! Have your son help you along. We don't have a CD burner, lucky we have a computer period, but my sons Dad does and he tries to explain things like that to me, it's like speaking Latin to me! Unorganized-come to my house-it surely would make anyone feel better! I hope you can get back to the place you were mentally when you started SB-hopefully when you get back into your regular routine-whatever commitment you made before, time to find it again:)

AMSER, sorry to hear about your Grandma-I hope they realease her from the hospital soon. They kept my Dad far too long in they needed to and it drove him batty. I have some more pics to load up, little by little I'll get them done-will also send you some so you can upload them on your computer. There's some wonderful ones with you!!!

Eli's off today, but he's at work since he got a new pastry case and he needs to make sure they load the food in it correctly, so I hope he'll be home soon. No big plans, probably stick around home since we have to get Michael from school. Would ask Mom to do it, but saving her for Friday when BOB is here!

Okay gals, I'm outta here for now. I hope you all have a wonderful day. I'll be checking in with you all later.

Hi Girls!
Missed everyone...seems like weeks since I've posted. Things are slowly calming down at work, but the darn computer still isn't fixed! Dan the Man got home safely, and obviously a good portion of the reason you gals haven't heard from me  Kids went with their Aunt til Wednesday, we're honeymooning all over again! Been keeping up on the posts though, whenever I can jump on line.

BOB-You'll have to give me the full details of the Detox Dungeon, for less than a month after your visit, she's packing the whips and flying to my house. HELP!!!! Dan the Man and I watched "Traffic" last night. I told Dan that it didn't fall into the "light romantic comedy" category, and that I got to pick the next flick at the video store!

Kymmie-HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLFRIEND!!!!! What cool thing do you have planned for the day???? I know you'll probably be going out tonight! Let's us know what the plans are!!!

Froggie-I'm a little out of the loop. What health problem are you having and what drugs are you on? Hope you are on the mend whatever is affecting you!

Fly-Thanks so much for posting pictures!!!!! Loved being able to see my buddy! :) Soon Debbie has threatend that once she gets to my house in Calif, there will be mug shots of me on the board, so brace yourself!

Solshine-Loved hearing your love story :). I know what you mean about "Jesus Freaks" and no need for explanation. You obviously found your soulmate! Did you get pictures back from your class reunion yet? You will have to find a scanner or send a few to Quilter.

I'm on this weird computer at the house, and haven't mastered cut copy and paste yet, so I'm going to sign off for now. Just wanted to let everyone know I still exsist.

P.S. Rosalie....I will finsihs with the romance story soon! Promise!

Good morning all. Feeling much better today. Scale still at 173 and looking like it might become 172. I hope by WIW. It occurs to me during my down days that I am spending too much time focusing on my weight. It amazes me how much I let my weight rule my thoughts and actions. When my goal is to be self controlled in my eating and healthy in my weight. I am officially out of my funk. I think Melf was right in that I was blue because of my family leaving and it was compounded with the weight stall and dh sniping! And I know Deb is right about not letting anything get in the way of the goal! Got a ton of things to do today. I may be exercising just running around. Well enough droning on. Did enough of that this week. Thanks for the tolerance.

SEF-I miss you. Where are you?

Frog-I actually heard Kermit say "It's not easy being green" when I read your last post. Don't know where that came from. Hope you're not a Zombie anymore and the docs come up with the right combo to help you. My prayers are with you. Any kid would be lucky to have a mom like you.

AR-HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Hope you have a great day.

Deb-Remember the "Oh what a beautiful morning" song from Oklahoma? I thought of that when I read your post this a.m. Congratulations on 127 and your NEW ALLTIME SPEED RECORD!!! Have fun today.

BOB-Welcome back. I want to buy "Family Man" so tell me if it is worth it. At least you are not eating to comfort yourself about the pain. That will make dungeon week so much more awful. Tell Debbie to torture you first with those cookies!!! Sounds like you are healing though. Hang in there girl.

Miss Melf-Love your positive attitude. I'm rubbing some on me. VBS sounds like fun. My memory is hard cookies and orange punch (we now call it bug juice). Are you still serving that? Thanks for the bolstering! I really needed that. And after a tough day too. You are awesome! I just read that another sign of grinding is sleepiness during the day? I bet if you take Deb's advice and buy a mouthguard from the drug store and you ruin it in a week or so. You'll probably have your answer.

Karen-Thanks for the insight into the ups and downs of woe. I too am looking forward to a more regular routine.

Amser-Hope your gm is out of the hospital today.

Tuesday tip: Taken from Prevention Magazine May 2001 issue.

The Miracle of Vinegar

Glycemic index experts say that the acid in vinegar or lemon juice can substantially blunt the effect of a food on your blood sugar. That means that adding vinaigrette dressing to your salad and vinegar to your sb legal food (they had illegal things mentioned) are two smart, tasty ways to lower the GI.

Rhoo-I  your tip! And what a time saver too. I think I'll get my workout clothes on under my shirt and shorts and do the workout right after the a.m. runs. Loved your camp story and take all the positives you can get! How did you know about my dh blinders!!!

Quickie...

Failed to mention I tried to cook last night and ended up burning the chicken-Eli laughed when he got home, as well as plugging his nose from the smell! Hey, I tried, thought I'd save him from cooking! I just failed to watch it, I came on the computer-hey, a girl does have her priorities!!!

RHOO, what a weird coincidence-the camp I send the kids off to is the same camp I went to when I was young, and the same people own it, but their kids are learning to take it over slowly-one added bonus-the same cook is still there! Probably using the same grease! Gosh, would I LOVE to be able to have a free supply of ANY berries! If you can't use them all now, freeze them, lay them out on a cookie tray and freeze them and THEN stick them into freezer bags for future use. Why not make some SG jelly, berry muffins, throw them in shakes-eat them just the way they are!!!! Ummm, instead of the blueberry buckle recipe I have posted, make is a raspberrie buckle!!!

NANCE, glad to see you on line this morning! Ummm, whips and chains-just you wait til you see ALL of my arsenal!! I'll have a few special things for just BOB and a few just for you! :s: I'm holding you to that goal we spoke about!! ;) Talk to you later!!!

FLY, thanks for the congrats-it felt great and yes, it was a BEAUTIFUL MORNING!:) I heard this guy who has a radio show down here on fitness (very knowledgeable guy) tell the listeners that for women, the scale can determine whether we have a good day or a bad day-he wasn't joking! If the scale says what I want, it's a great day, it not, the day just sucks! I guess it's something we both need to work on, huh? Hope you get that 172 for tomorrow! Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

GRINCHY, thanks for posting your BIO on the BIO BOARD! Nice to be able to learn more about you. You had me laughing with your FAVORITE FOODS and the ice cream!!!

Okay, Eli is home, he climbed back in bed since he was out of the house before 6am, so I guess I'll go take a shower and see what he wants to do for the few hours before we have to pick up Michael-maybe lunch-or maybe we'll wait and do an early dinner-haven't been to Outback in a while-guess we'll have to see.

Just a reminder, TOMORROW IS WEIGH IN WEDNESDAY!!! I wish everyone the best of luck with the metal monsters!!

Good Morning

Deb- Really you should do an exchange student or let your son go over to france on a summer program. You would really enjoy it. Don't listen to people either about how all france kids drink, smoke, and have sex. Totally a not true statement and it's not any different than here in the usa. Except I think our reputation is alot worse than that. Their culture is actually much better than ours, it reminds me of when I was a kid and probably when all you folks were younger. It's a more structured home life with rules and chores. They are not lazy kids at all like alot of our kids are here. She was amazed how lazy kids are here in the USA and can't swim very well either. She says in France alot of good swimmers and families eat together and they don't watch much TV. She is a great kid and I would love to see her again. She wants us to go to France someday to stay with her family. I need to study french first. It's a real learning experience for everyone.
She doesn't want to go home right now. She said this morning she wants to stay a few weeks more. I was suprised to learn how much different there school year is also. They have 8 weeks of holiday vacations and 2 months off in the summer. They also go to school from 8 to 12 then 1 to 5. You can go earlier than that also. They start those hours at 8 1/2 years old. She also can speak german, latin, spanish, and american. Too bad we don't push that on our kids as requirements for school.

Lost a few lbs in these few weeks. Finally got on that scale and down to 156 this week even with TOM.

Did y'all miss me? I thought I left strict instructions that there were to be daily lamentations on my absence until I returned!

I spent a week in the beautiful NC mountains--just a few miles from Asheville. Montreat is a gorgeous conference center. The theme of the conference was Sabbeth keeping--so we were ordered to spend a lot of time resting and napping. I want to go back! The only problem is that they provided all our meals and it was starchfest! The food I took with me wasn't nearly enough to last the week, so faced with starvation I had to adapt (OK so I really didn't have to adapt all the way to the desert table). Anyway I'm up a bit from my low--but it wasn't as bad as I feared. I guess I now need a dew days in the detox dungeon along with BOB!:dz:

My tip for the week comes from the theme of the conference. We work so hard--our jobs, our families, our WOE, etc. We even work hard playing. Be sure to take time to rest, to recharge your batteries. Our bodies are undergoing significant changes and we need to make sure we have some down time so we can physicially recharge. We need to recharge mentally too. It doesn't have to be an entire day, but try to find a few hours every week and develop a ritual for rest. You'll be amazed at the good it will do!

AR--HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I hope you have a great celebration today!

Tha't all for now--I have lots ofcatching up to do after being gone for a week.

Hi ALL! Well, I went to the Neurologist this am & he increased my medication to try to control the pain. Wants me to see my dentist about the TMJ, but I've read a couple of you post about the mouth peice, so I think I will check it out first. Thanks for the advise.

Sorry that I am unable to reply to posts at this time, but I really need a nap before VBS tonight. Funny how when you tell your dr that you have pain somewhere they insist on pressing there to make it hurt more. :?: Well, that's what this one did when I told him the ENT had said I had TMJ he says "Let me see" & made that horrible pain come back in my jaws. It was feeling better, but thanks to him now it's not, so I need a nap with my friend "MR. HEATING PAD"

Will also miss chat tonight, but will try to post again tomorrow.

Ann, glad to see you're back. Talk again soon.

It's a green afternoon. Ran out of $$ so back home. Funny how that works. Did get a new do and feeling perky! So will dress up pretty for dh to come home too. (Personally I don't think they care much about looks as long as there's hot food awaiting. Exception Eli-No firetrucks right?) I ate my Subway salad again. YUM YUM. Gotta start working on my water.

Debbie-you mentioned SG jelly. Tell me more, puhleese! I really miss the strawberry preserves I did this May. If I can make something like that legally I will send you a big smooch! Right now Polaner is my best friend. Just a tsp in my oatmeal and I'm a happy woman. At least for an hour.

Raly-France sounds so wonderful. I hope you get the chance to visit.

Fillese-Of course we missed you. Time to get back on track and put those starchfest and dessert tables behind. I'm going to apply recharge in my day if I have to hide in the potty to do it!

Melf-I see you visited Dr. Evil again. Be careful you don't develop a Pavlovian reflex when his hands come closer! Hope Mr. Heating Pad helps.

Well, love to all. Time to pretty up and go to the grocery store. A nice broiled chicken sounds good with some stir fried veggies. Boys will have something special too.

Hey All!

I must admit, it's only 4:30pm here and I am pooped! I am just feel wiped out-maybe from being up so early, jogging/walking so fast, the heat-who knows. Feeling barfy as well, usually a good sign with the scale following that-so here's hoping!

We went to lunch at a middle eastern restaurant that use to be near our house. The guy closed it about 3 years ago so he could build his own place near where my Mom lives-good food there, had a falafel ball (just one), and a chicken kabob (just chicken with onion and green pepper), with a salad, no dressing, but feta cheese on top, very yummy. Eli ate the rice that came with it.

RALY, I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to let Michael travel half-way around the world to France-heck, I can't bring myself to let him fly up to see my cousins in Maryland! I'll surely be a basket case when he goes to college in 3 years! I've been to France, Eli and I went on a trip to Europe 5 years ago, I think it was. We drove all over and we stayed in France with a friend of his. Eli went to school there as well and speaks fluent French. We also went to Holland and Spain (which were a surprise to me-I'm the map reader and when I went to lie down in the car, he went the wrong way-but we had fun!), we took the Chunnel to England for the day, went to Luxemborg, stayed with friends in Belgium, went to Germany, Switzerland and Andora. I'd love to go again one day in the future-we had a blast! I would entertain the idea of an exchange student probably in 11th grade, maybe next, who knows! One thing I don't like about France (Paris particularly, but found a lot through Europe), is how the men pee all over the place-since you have to pay to pee in the public areas-luckily, I found ways around this while we were there and never paid to pee!;) Hey, congrats on the scale moving south, should be a good WIW for you tomorrow!

FILLISE, welcome back! Of COURSE we missed you! Hey, I have room at the Detox Dungeon-I'm sure you'll be back on track in no time and won't need the strict methods I'm reserving for BOB!! :s:

MELF, I would of slapped the Dr. silly if he did that-tell him it was an involuntary reflex!!!!! Will you be home in time for chat????

FLY, I buy a jelly from a New Zealand company called Jok'n Al that's excellent! It's only 10 calories per tbsp and is sweetened with Splenda (one of the few things I have once in a while that has that crap in it). BUT, I know I have some recipes for jams/jellys and will try to find one that sounds not only good, but SB legal!

Howdy!

Sorry I missed the chat!!! I completely forgot! I'm brain dead after my day at work! Crazy with a capital "C". Don't know that I'm actually capable of typing right now....but I just wanted to say "HI" to my buddies! Dan rented a movie "Finding Forester" and I told him the only chance I stand to stay awake and watch it is if he brewed some coffee (Yes, Starbucks BOB!) We watched "Traffic" last night. Not sure if I liked it or not. Guess it one of those, the story was so so but the acting was good?!!?!
Kids are coming home tomorrow! That went by way too fast!
I can't believe it's August tomorrow! This summer is going by too fast! I haven't even had a vacation yet, and the one I do get Debs is cleaning out my cupboards and making me get up and exercise at 5:00am. HELP!!!!!

Good Wednesday Morning Everyone!

It's a dreary day down here in SOFLA, we have a tropical wave moving through. It's been sprinkling rain, not a great reason not to walk, but put it together with how exhausted I feel, and that's how I decided to take the day off. Was all dressed and ready to go, but my body has other thoughts it seems.

Recieved a call from a friend I grew up with and haven't seen for about 13 1/2 years or so late last night-we stayed up and gabbed for about an hour. Afterwards, I wasn't able to fall asleep for what seemed to be forever and didn't sleep well at all-that coupled along with being tired as I was already, it helped along with my decision not to walk today-I'm just plum pooped out.

Sooo, my day will exsist on preping the DETOX DUNGEON for BOB's arrival. I will learn much I presume, and then will carry the knowledge of my experiements over to NANCE'S!!!!

Okay, so here goes-IT'S A WONDERFUL WEIGH IN WEDNESDAY!!!!! NEWALL TIME LOW of 125!!!!!:spin: :D So, that gives me a 4lb loss since last week (see, PATIENCE DOES PAY OFF), but more importantly, gives me a 1/2lb loss off my previous low! One more pound to make my cushion goal!!! Then try to maintain that cushion, that's the next step!

Apologizes to those in the chat room last night and my short existence there. Sharon called, and kept me on the phone for a while and then the computer locked up on me-by the time I was able to come back on, it's like everyone had vanished from the chat room-sorry I didn't get to say good-bye before I exited. Did I miss anything juicy???

NANCE, I liked that moving, FINDING FORRESTER. Were you able to stay up and watch it?? I never saw TRAFFIC. Yeah, yeah-try to convince us that you've been busy with other things and forgot about the chat-we know you've been cooped up in the HONEYMOON HOTEL!!!!

RHOO, couldn't sleep either-maybe it was something in the air! Excuse me, but you are close to goal, what the heck are you talking about?:?: You're 3lbs from goal, what's the difference of 1-2 pounds? Be proud of what you've done so far-besides, this is her party, are you trying to mosey your way into the limelight;) I'm sure EVERYONE there will be oowing and ahwing about you, don't you worry-take the compliments graciously and know you've earned them! Don't worry about your vacation, go with all good intentions and go prepared-don't think that you are doing this for the party, but because you are close to your goal and you want to hit it already!!!! The Detox Dungeon is right here in my house-all are welcome to come for a treatment, I mean a visit!

FLY, CONGRATS on your 1lb loss this week!!!!:D

Okay gals, I'm outta here for a little while. I'll check back in when I take a break! That or pass out from exhaustion!!!

Please remember, TOMORROW IS RECIPE DAY!!! If you have any good SB LEGAL RECIPES you'd like to post on the board, please, try to post them tomorrow on the new AUGUST 2001 RECIPE BOARD at the link below:

WIW starts anew for me. I'm back to 160 lbs. and I'm taking responsibility for it. It's all due to allowing my emotions and stress control what I'm eating instead of taking a deep breath and making good decisions. Sorry I didn't get back on board sooner, my wonderful DH fixed my computer Friday night, but at the same time I was in ER with my daughter. She's ok now, but was a very sick little girl for a few days. Thank the Lord for hearing our prayers, we checked out of the hospital Sunday and as of last night she was 100% better.

Today I begin my 3 day detox, no sugar or sugar substituted foods. The only exception, is I know that I will chew gum, sf. I called Nance yesterday and Narda, I think we all need Deb's help right now! You're the lucky one, you get to see her first. My sister is due down about the same time as you Deb, but I promise we will get to see each other at least once while you are in the valley.

Well got to get moving. I started my abslider and push ups this morning, not many but that doesn't matter. I'm going for consistency this time, instead of competing against myself to see how much I can do and getting totally burnt out.

I hope you all are well. Deb I'm sending you signals, so you know how to find us!

Fillise

But not for me--the detox is setting in full force! I got that shakey feeling last night--when the body wants it's blood sugar fix, but I held steady! So I'm sure it will be a week or two before the scale is back to my low of 238. I'm going grocery shopping today and stocking up on all the healthy food I need (after being gone for a little over a week, the fridge is empty!).

BOB--I'm sure Deb will keep you hyrdated as you detox. In fact she probably has some sort of water torture apparatus rigged up just for you!:s: I can't wait to hear about it when you get home! Y'all have some fun.

Deb--New all time low--whooohooo! You go girl! Take it a little easy on BOB while she is there--her teeth hurt!

Fly--congrats on the loss! I love the glee on WIW!

Everyone have a good WIW!

Still doing the happy dance. Missed chat--I guess I was hogging the Sandman last night. Sorry ladies. I'll be a little more generous tonight. I'm excited too. One more day of driving summer school and I'm off for almost a month??? What am I going to do with all the leisure time? Definitely planning a trip to Williamsburg with my two youngest. (Day trip) and then beaching it. But not thinking much past that. Still doing a thousand things to prepare for the week vacation with the inlaws and the class reunion. I'm going in red I've finally decided. Well, gotta move on. Benjamin is playing his drums and I'm getting a headache. Could that be related?

DEB-CONGRATULATIONS ON 125!!!!!! AWESOME. I know it can be done! Thanks so much for searching for jelly stuff for me. I'll look around for the jelly you recommended. Aren't you smart for listening to your body , we can all follow that example. Gas chamber? Uh oh. I was thinking of following Bob til I heard that. Sorry Bob. I realized I've been taking in a lot of Splenda lately. I'm going to cut back and see if things pick back up again.

Bob-Girl, glad your feeling a wee bit better. You're not telling us how you're eating so I have a feeling the detox will be tougher. do you do my thing and eat really bad right before starting a new WOE??? This is the first WOE that I didn't follow that pattern. I knew how painful giving up sugar would be. Try to focus on how great you'll feel afterwards. Maybe she'll show movies while you're chained up. Just think...you'll be the first sacrificial lamb. I'll join you in the next dungeon in N.C. or maybe you'll just be watching because of how great you'll be doing????

Nance-did the Starbucks work? I'd exercise at 5 a.m for a cabinet cleaning. Just don't try to keep up with Debbie's walking. You don't fool me....you miss those kids like crazy now.

Rhoo-New pair of pants sounds like a smart way to get motivated. I see nothing but success in you and I'm willing to bet everyone else does too. I also know how maddening to be so close to goal and not be there yet. Deb has proved it can be done so hang in there. I'll be suffering through vacation challenges with you especially if dh get mil against me too. But did I tell you how stubborn I can be???? I'm going to be bragging about how strong I was week after next.

Well, gotta go. I'm missing many......Frog, BW, Grinch, Sef, Sol, Sparkle, Idblond...I know I'm missing someone.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KYMN!!!!!!!!

I started reading the posts and realized my lunch is almost over so I copied and pasted them into Word so I can read them throughout the day and get caught up.

Just wanted to check in. WIW wasn't too terrible, although I am at 200.5 -- It's TOM for me this week and that's when I'm usually up so hopefully I'll be back down next week.

With my eye problem early July and then the cold and depression the 2nd half of July I haven't been using Fitday OR exercising. Then this week Vince's car has been out of commission so I've been getting up at 3am to get ready for work and take him to work by 5 am and then just coming in to work and leaving early to pick him up at 5:30pm.

Last night I went to bed at 8:00 and slept the WHOLE NIGHT. I don't know how he does it! Today he was my chauffer and tomorrow we should be back to driving ourselves. It HAS been nice getting that extra time together during our commutes, though. I can't/don't work out on Thursdays because of our Bible study on Thurs evenings, but Friday I'll be getting back into the swing of things.

DEBBIE and GATORGAL, found Agave Nectar at the HFS that opened in W Spgs - (Economy Too on 434, GATORGAL). It was 2.63 for a bottle. Vince said it tastes like watered down honey and noted that it's used in making tequila or margaritas - I can't remember. He used it in his oatmeal this morning and said it was OKAY. I told him to wait until I made some of the recipes from here with it. Will let you know.

Okay, I'll try to post pictures on the picture thread today or tomorrow. Gotta run.

Y'all have a great afternoon!

Hey again. Came back in to do some cheering but I'll have to do it tomorrow a.m. I guess. Forcing myself to stay off til then because I won't get all my preps done if I sit at this computer.

Miss Nance-You body slams were too much, girl. I almost peed my pants. I have drank 34 oz so far. Thanks for the boost on the red dress. Gonna get the nails done tomorrow too. But....must polish my rings first so my hands can look extra pretty. Air mattress hmmmm? And would you have purchased this around the time Dan returned? hmmm. Better get this mind out of the gutter. ;)

Rhoo-You outfit sounds awesome. You'll definitely be styling there. Hang in there....you'll be to goal soon.

A/R-You are the superwoman. Taking on two tough challenges at once. Glad you had a good birthday and lots of company to share!

Sol-You'll be back down again soon. So glad all the trouble of last month is not following you into this month. I also cherish time I spend with Peter too and with the 12 hour drive we'll be making on Friday a.m. we get plenty of time to talk. It's so important to connect, isn't it?

Hi Ya'll! WIW is a happy one for me!! Down to 146. Actually, it's really hard to tell cause it's sooooo close to the 145 mark, but I'll settle for the 146 for now.

Took my increased dose of medication as dr suggested yesterday & oh my! I dragged myself out of bed at 11:30 this morning. I'm afraid that I my not be able to take that much when I have to work the next day, but I am pain free this am, so I guess it worked!! Feels soooo good to wake up without that horrible pain.

Well ladies, I skimmed the board just enough to see that most of you also did ok with WIW, way to go losers but I'm in a rush because of the late sleep, so I can't reply today. I'm off pick up my Mom at the NH for a sleep over tonight & for most of the day tomorrow. My baby girl, Jodi is also coming for thew day tomorrow. I sure do miss her. I seldom see her since she moved & is without transportation. So I'll try to catch up with all of you later.

Hi everyone

Haven't had time to read all the posts yet. Just got home from work and will be going out again shortly. I am back up to 200 pounds which I have been for most of the week. It only stayed at 198 for a couple of days. Oh well I guess it will come off again soon. Too bad but I can't blame PMS or TOM  I did 6 miles on the SB yesterday. Going out for badminton this evening. Hope to get a few miles on the SB before supper.

Melf - It's good to hear that the increased dose of medication has helped the pain. I hope you have a good visit with your Mom and daughter tomorrow.

Congrats to all the losers this week. I'll try and catch up with the posts later.

Bye for now.

SolShine--Where in W.Spr. is the HFS? I don't get over that way too much, but will check it out if you tell me the address. I wonder if Economy HFS in Forest City has agave nectar. Actually, tequilla is made from the agave plant, so Vince was probably thhinking of that.

Got as far as I could on the preps. Rest of the stuff has to wait for tomorrow like changing cat litter etc. Kitties are being kitty sat for the week. They always ransack the house while I'm gone. Going out later and get more pants for Patrick. He's outgrown every pair that don't have the knees blown out. I love Old Navy. They have such reasonable prices. Well dh just returned home. So....Loved all the pics Sol, Gator, Melf, Amser & Bob. We are a gorgeous bunch of chicks aren't we????? Glad to hear Melf you're feeling better. And Rosalie will be back below 200 in no time. Evening Gals!

Have lots to do and no desire to do it-oh well, BOB will just to see my "lived in" look! LOL! Hey, at least she has a clean stretcher, I mean bed, to be tied down, I mean to lie down in! LOL!

Been raining here on and off all day-should be the same tomorrow, until probably the time BOB arrives. WHICH probably means I won't get in my walk-should of pushed myself this morning early before the rains started-2 days is not good for me to miss.

LDBLOND, I love the attitude you've adopted! Good for you! Now, can you run over to NANCE'S and rub it off on her??? What happened with your daughter?? Glad all is well now, whatever it was, I'm sure it must of been a scare-anytime anything happens with our kids, it's bad for a Mom. You definitely have to find a little time to come to Nance's while I'm there-I'd be sad if you didn't!!! GOOD LUCK with the detox, shouldn't be so bad.

FILLISE, amazing how sugar can do that to one's body, isn't it! Good for you for holding strong-it will pass quickly. I'm sure you'll be back at your low sooner than you think. I'm sure your body will be blessing you for getting back OP. Okay, you have my promise, I'll take it easy on BOB:s:

FLY, love Williamsburg, but haven't been there in so many years, before the kids were born. When are you planning to escape? How far are you from DC? Too much Splenda CAN be a problem, as it has maltodextin in it, which is sooo high on the GI-I know when I have had too much, twice, it sure did a number on me. Try to cut back, possibly use Stevia sometimes. Red-I bet you'll look hot! You had me LOL at your post for Narda!!!! How did you know what I do with all the exercise equipment people get rid off! Hey, Nance will probably be able to keep up with my walking easily, remember, she's 5' 8" and I'm 5' 1 1/2" tall, so for every one step she'll take, I have to take 2!!!!

NANCE, are you giving BOB some baddddd ideas????? :nono: No body slams, remember, I have TOXIC GAS as a back up for any retaliations!!!!

AR, hope you had a good bday! Let us know how you celebrated. I'm sure BOB can give you some pointers on quitting smoking-she successfully did it months ago!!!

RHROO, you'll get there-it's not like you are so far away-just keep focused. I bet you'll have a great time at this party-take pics and send them. I have't forgotten the other pics-okay, I remember, I forget, something comes up-I'll get them done!

SOL, I'm sure you'll be down after TOM is gone-does it every time for me!;) Sounds like it's been a hectic week for you-hope things settle down soon. Ahh, that man of yours is so knowledgable-the agave plant is used for making tequila-and goodies that are SB LEGAL tell him! I love the taste-some say it tastes more like watered down corn syrup. Thanks for posting the pic on the PHOTO ALBUM BOARD!

MELF, CONGRATS! Great WIW for you today! You're almost there!!! Glad to hear you are pain free today, I hope it helps you enjoy the time with your Mom and Daugther more-who wants pain!

ROSALIE, you know your body, it goes low as a teaser, then up, but in time, it goes back down. All this exercise you are doing will definitely pay off-look how far you've come, yes, it's been a long road, but realize as well how much harder it is for a mature woman to lose weight vs. someone who's in their 20's or 30's-so, give yourself a ton of credit for accomplishing what you have so far-and for being so patient:)

Okay, back to cleaning the DUNGEON! Will check in later!

Well, the old scales are back up a pound to 149. I can honestly say that I am not surprised. I have given to emotional eating a few times this week. While it has all been OP, it has been too many legal sweets. :nono:

I went back to work today and was able to stay awake all day. Admittedly, I am tired tonight, but I will make myself stay awake until at least 9:30.

For those of you who don't know, I've been diagnosed with a common condition known as vulvodynia. I have the typical symptoms. though thankfully mine aren't severe. I've experienced vaginal pain that often lasts for days following even the slightest touch to that area, so you can forget any "hanky-pokey." It has gotten progressively worse over the past 2 years and I have finally seen a doctor who is taking an aggressive approach to treatment. Unfortunately it includes a medicine that makes me very sleepy, but I am supposed to adjust to the side-effects eventually. There is no known cure, but there are surgical options if the medicine doesn't help. I pray I don't have to go that route.

I spent all of Saturday asleep! I was awake very little of the day, it was just awful! I called the pharamacy to double check the Rx then called the doc regarding a lower dose. They cut the potency by 2/3rd's but want to evenutally work me up to the higher one that they started me out on. I am sure to be a zombie! This junk also makes me nausous and dizzy :dizzy:

The other down-side is the suggestion that I adhere to a low-oxalate diet. Things high in oxalate include WW flour  I can't handle the thoughts of changing my way of eating! More on Low Oxalate Diets (http://www.branwen.com/rowan/oxalate.htm).

I set the alarm for 5:00 to run but didn't get up. I will try again tomorrow a.m. I think if I can stay awake I can make it through this sleepy period.

I apologize if this is too much information about someone that is basically a stranger, but I felt safe with the topic since we also discuss bathroom habits here! For anyone else who may be interested in learning more about this topic, I've included a link National Vulvodynia Association (http://www.nva/org).

Congrats to all who lost this week!

DEB - Great weight chick!

MELF - I can completely relate to your issues with pain and the subsequent medications that knock you out!

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Hello Everyone!!!!

It's a hot steamy couple of days here. Heat index is definitely up there right now. Cristina is sleeping already, because of her molars coming in. She is a grump big time. Working out right now while watching TV and reading posts. Actually have time to do that for a change, my hubby is on 2nd shift which isn't that bad because I get more done without him home at night.

Well the scale was good to me down to 156 and happy dance!!! Need to get back to 145 so I can fit in my prepregnancy jeans. Lord knows I have enough of those in my closet.

Well gotta finish working out.

Bye all

I think I read my scale right this a.m.!!!!! Looked like 121.5. Still up 1 lb from my lowest, but that's ok. I have been under alot of stress for about the last 2 weeks, so a few times I undid the sealtbelt on the wagon:eek:!!!!!! My stomach is finally feeling 99% back to normal. Dookie schedule a bit off still. I am getting my neices again tomorrow. I am praying the weather will cooperate this time and we can have fun down at the dock, and maybe go crabbing in my little putt-putt boat:lol: Craig's aunt from CAL is here for a visit. Saturday we all are planning to take a boatride in the 33ft Bertram. My gm is home from the hospital as of yesterday.. THANK GOD!!!!! She didn't have a heartattack, and the cardio test they did on her was negative. I knew it would be. That woman has a healthy heart than all of us put together:rolleyes: Oh.. I must tell you one quick cute thing that my neice just emailed me.........She said she was looking forward to coming tomorrow, and asked " would you please make that hole wheat bread french toast again for us, that was good"!!!!!!! I used her spelling. The funny thing is, when we had that the other time, she was the one who did the cooking.

Deb - Many congrats on your ALL TIME LOW!!!!!! You are about to catch up to me. I better start cracking my own whip. Not about to enter your detox program.

Mary - Hope you have a nice time with your Mom and DD tomorrow. Hope you don't get really drugged out on the meds:lol: Thanks also for all the sweet emails.

BOB - Pssstttt(do you have a cell phone??) Might wanna bring it in case you need to be rescued!!!! Hope those choppers are feeling better. Wishing you LOTS of luck in Miami........

Think I will end it at that. I know I didn't get to everyone. I am happy for all the great WI's for those of you who had one:D Even though, it's like I am pretty much in neatral, at least I am content that I am not gaining. Everyone have a good night.

Well, I was able to get up and run 2.5 miles in the cool 57*, but very humid weather this a.m. Am very happy that I was able to get that in, back to my routine.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone....I am so sorry that I've been so out of touch...I've just skimmed throught very quickly the last few days posts, but will have to come back to really read it all....The move with my Mother has gone relatively well...I will also expound more when I don't have to get ready for work! I managed to stay pretty much OP the whole time I was gone from home and the only things I can really remember eating that I knew were not legal, were 2 bites of a cheese biscuit, a little potato salad and some marinated cucumber salad that I'm sure had sugar in it....but we were invited out several times and had a big family event with all of my mother's 6 , yes SIX brothers and wives on Sunday...and I passed up my aunt's squash casserole, potato casserole, cornbread, pie, homemade ice cream AND pound cake.....so on Monday, after the move and we were TOTALLY EXHAUSTED and sat down to a meal that some of my church friends brought over, I just ate that potato salad and didn't even care. Didn't eat the chocolate chess pie though...Weighed yesterday and was still 210...it is TOM though...know that is contributing to no loss, as well as not enough time or thought into drinking my water...this has been one of the most stressful and upsetting times of my life, so I'm just proud that I've managed to not eat everything in sight. I'll catch up with you later. Glad to be back to some semblance of my normal life again! Later!!!:^:

Good Thursday Morning Everyone!

Wasnt able to get onto the board last night, Michael claims he had homework-I think he's chatting with friends more than doing homework, but as long as he continues to bring me straight A's, I guess he has to have some time to chat. Following in his Mom's footsteps.

The rains held off so I was able to get in my 4.5 miles this morning-just walked, since it was so dreary outside - suppose to get better as the day goes on, hope BOB doesn't have to deal with any bad weather when starts on her way down here.

I've gotten the kids/guest bathroom cleaned and after I post, I'm going to tackle mine. Hey, I'm not so heartless, at least BOB will be able to use a clean bathroom! Her room in the Detox Dungeon will be clean as well-see I do take care of my victims, I mean guests;)

I really have a lot to do, and vowed today I would bide my time accordingly. If I spend an hour in each room, by next year, I mean, the end of the day, the house should be somewhat presentable-EXCEPT for our dining room, table has crap all over it and boxes of books stacked up all around-patio looks awful with all the garage sale crap thrown out there-4th bedroom, welll, lets just say there's lots of stuff in there too! She'll survive-trust me!

FROG, thanks for explaining a bit more about your condition! I'm going to check out those sites you posted, I do find reading about things like that interseting. I'm sure your being up on the scale is really due to something hormonal or water, or something like that-with all the running you do, I doubt if you ate a little off plan, you probably wouldn't gain a pound-remember, eating in excess of 3500 above what you normall eat is the way to gain a pound-that's a lot of food! Glad to see you got in a run today-57*, you lucky FROG!

AMSER, glad to see the scale moving downward for you-trust me, I won't be trying to catch up with you-I don't think I would look good going that low-but hey, you saw me recently, what do you think? ;) Maybe you can just save me your fat clothes-hey, at least I know I wouldn't have to hem your pants!!! LOL!!!

BELINDA, glad to see you back and to hear all went well with your Mom's move. Sounds like you did pretty darn good for being away from home so long. I'm sure once your TOM ends you'll see a drop on the scale.

RALY, you need to load up the pick to a disc or your hard drive and then when you go to reply to the board, where it says ATTACH FILE, hit that BROWSE BUTTON, find the picture you want to upload and click on that and it will be loaded up, so when you submit your post, as long as it's 40K or less, it should show up. Hopefully, this is what you wanted to know:)

Gotta run gals, lots to do, not much time before BOB comes!!!

Will check in later and try to get a recipe on the RECIPE BOARD for ya'll today!

OK--two OP days behind me. Yesterdat wasn't nearly as bad as the day before. Except I spent most of it in the bathroom. It's like my body wants to get all that c**p out of my system!

Yesterday marked the first time I have been able to walk normally since my knee surgery. I've been off the crutches after the first week, but my knee wouldn't bend when I walked--I had this peg leg thing going. Yesterday--all of a sudden--it was like the muscles remembered what they were supposed to do and started doing it! And that oh-so familiar twinge of pain that I had lived with for years is GONE! My Dr. has given me permission to go back to the gym, so I'm headed there when I get off the computer!

DEB and BOB--have a good visit this weekend.

BOB, STAR, GatorGal, ANNA, and all the other SEC babes--only 30 more days till football season!!!!!!!!!! Wooo Hooo! and War Eagle!

BW--I hope everything continues to go smoothy with your Mom's move. Please remember to take care of yourself!

I made some OP blueberry muffins this morning--the recipe is very easy.

1 slice SGWW bread toasted and made into bread crumbs.
1/3 cup instant NF dry milk
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 tsp Splenda (or equivalent sweetner)
1 Tbl water
1 egg separated
1/2 cup blueberries

Mix first 6 ingredients (except egg white). Add stiffly beaten egg white. Mix in blueberries and spoon into non-stick muffin pan. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Makes three muffins.

I quadruple the recipe and make a dozen muffins at a time. One serving = three muffins. They are very filling and you have only consumed one slice of bread. This is the old WW recipe that some if you may remember that I was searching for. I'll alsopost it on the recipe board.

I hope everyone has a good day!

Hey Everyone!

It's almost 4pm and BOB is on her way-I expected her to come around 5pm, but it's really raining hard down here, so I hope she takes her time and drives slowly.

I was soooo busy cleaning out the DETOX DUNGEON I lost all track of time and didn't have a bite to eat until after 2pm:eek: I doubt I will make my food quota today, too much to eat in a little bit of time, but of course, I'll do my best-good news though, all this work gave me such a thirst, so I've been downing my water:)

FILLISE, glad to hear you got through day 2 with flying colors (not to mention, other things that seemed to be flying out of you!). Great you were able to walk!! Hope you enjoyed being back at the gym. Glad to hear you are pain free now:) Recipe sounds good, and easy-will have to try it!!

Okay gals, I've got to go out in this rain to the grocery store. BOB requested my CRUSTLESS SPINACH QUICHE for dinner tonight, so I figured I'd oblidge before I throw her but into the "quite room" in the DETOX DUNGEON!!!LOL!!

We'll check in later!

Hmm... Is it just me or does the board seem a little slow this week? Seems like we've lost a few regulars this week - Sef, Quilter, GatorGal. And some of our new friends have been busy too - Grinchy, BW, etc.

I am feeling pretty good today. Just remembered that it's time to take the drugs! Glad to be able to exercise and work all day. Feeling MUCH more like my old self. Time to up the dosage soon I feel certain. Will check with the Doc next week.

Am planning to go to an AWESOME sale tomorrow! The Hospice of my county has an annual sale, like a HUGE yardsale that lasts several days. It starts tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. and I plan to be there when the doors open. Bet Grinchy's dh will be there too. He's got an eye for cool stuff. BW would be there too if she could. Anyway, I will certainly post any great finds I'm able to snag.

Found out this week that my much awaited and anticipated furniture will not be ready for approximately another 3 weeks because there is a shortage in the fabric. Oh well, that will give me time to get the painting finished in that room.

I am happy to report that the sun FINALLY came out here today! YIPPEE!! :spin:

For those of you on the Gulf coast, batten down the hatches!! Here comes Barry!!! I hope that none of you, your friends or family is effected by this storm.

DEB - You would  this sale! Tons of great stuff! Hope you and BOB have a great visit! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

FILLISE = Glad that you are taking some steps toward your surgery recovery. The blueberry muffins sound d-lish! Can't wait until football season! What's the scoop on ... =^..^= OUR TEAM?

AMSER - Glad that your GM is back home. BTW the french toast sounds yummy. Do you make your own bread? If not, what brand do you reccomend?

BW - So nice to see you on the board today. Will catch up with you this weekend!

GRINCHY - Where are you girl? Ok, all you pets at Grinchy's house, go get her and drag her to the computer like Skeeter does with BOB. Now go get her! I'll wait. Hope you are not feeling the "back to school blues" and that you are getting your classroom looking all spiffy! I bet it ROCKS!

RALY - Love that you are multi-tasking! You are setting a wonderful example for your daughter, even if she is too young to get it just yet.

ROSALIE - sounds like you are enjoying your bike. Pedal on chick!

Well, I guess I will go for now. Hope you all have a nice evening. Will see you again her soon!

Peace,
FROG

Frog - Doesn't it s--k to be a woman sometimes? What an uncomfortable/painful affliction to have. I hope your doctor is successful in his treatment. Does he have any other patients with this problem? I have read about it before and how many doctors aren't even able to diagnose it. I'm amazed that you are out running! You go girl!

BOB - have fun with Deb. I think a weekend with her will make you forget all about your worries!

Deb - Awesome on the WIW!

Solshine - Glad to see you back.

Rosalie - Keep at it! With your determination that goal will get closer and closer!

Gator - seeing your picture in the photo section makes me really sad that we won't get to meet. Maybe you will like it so much you will come back and we will meet then!

BW - I've been thinking about you and your mom. Hope you are holding up ok. Your mom is lucky to have a loving daughter to help her through this.

Had nasty storms last night and some areas received up to 9 inches of rain. We really needed rain, but not like that. Our gauge showed 3 inches and that was sufficient. But the high heat and humidity is supposed to be back by Sun. and early next week. We are off to the Wisconsin State Fair in Milwaukee tomorrow where I'm sure there will be SB legal food on every corner. NOT! I'll do my best. On Saturday we are planning to go to Cedarburg, which is a small town north of Milwaukee that has turned into a quaint tourist attraction. Back home on Sunday.

This week has not been a good one for me. I'm going to blame it on the hot and extremely humid weather. Guess I will have to come up with a different reason next week. Actually, I'm getting into the same mindset that I was in last January, which is good. Next week will be a good one for me! And I will do my best to post and keep up with everyone!

I hope this weekend brings relief to those of you who are in pain--sure hate to hear that these medical problems aren't resolving faster. To everyone - have a happy weekend!

This has been my best day in the past month! The pain is vertually GONE! Only slight sensitivity in a couple of teeth & it's not all the time. I am sooooo relieved. The increase of the amitripyline seems to have done it. Good thing to because tomorrow I start a 7 day stretch of 3 - 8hr shifts & 4 12's, a total of 72 hrs straight before I get another day off so you'll may not see too much of me for the next week, but I'll try to at least say hi on my 8 hr days.

Well, my Mom & baby girl are both gone. Brought Mom back this afternoon. She was in a good mood & happy to have spent some time with us. I promised to go get her again soon. She speaks in fragmented sentences, stumbles for words. It's getting harder to have a conversation with her, she struggles so much that we have to help her complete her thoughts. At least she still knows us for now. Karen I do feel for you & the stage that your Mom is at now. I can see it coming with my Mom & dread the day that it will get to that point.

Jodi came yesterday & stayed all day today. Even came with us to VBS commencement tonight. It was good to spend some time with her too. Even had Daxton here for the day, so we had fun. Full house. LOL

Frog Yes, I can relate to the medication stupor. Glad that you're coping with it a little better & yes, we ARE definitely in the Gulf Coast Area here, as we are 30 miles from it. It does seem to be more in the FLA area for now I believe. BOB does that mean you?? I believe you are on the west coast of FLA, right??

Well girls, I will say good nite & wish you all a good day tomorrow. Especially BOB & Debbie as they battle the detox dungeon. Hope you'll have an enjoyable visit.

I have also noticed many of our regulars are away this week. Hello Rhoo, Ann, Rosalie, SolShine, SEF, Nancy, Butterfly, Kymn, Kim, VIV, Beachfan, IBLOND, Chris, Tiggerme, GatorGal, Lamap, Grinchy, AMY G, Ralynne, FILLISE, BelindaWannabe, catlover. Good Friday Morning Everyone!

Sorry I was MIA last night! I was prepping all my DETOX devices for BOB! She arrived in record time, despite the rains. Actually, I was outside just getting ready to get into my car and heard her beeping the horn as she drove down the street. I was suprised she got her so fast. We basically stayed home and had a great dinner-yes, I cooked! I made the CRUSTLESS SPINACH QUICHE which I do believe came out delish as well as some hummus-Eli made a delicious salad.

Today we'll be on the move all day long. I'm going to attempt to get in my walk this morning, but seems I will have to modify my route, the rains yesterday were bad and brought out lots of large, deep puddles-but I'll try!!!! Whatever I get in will be better than none, and plus, we'll be walking so much, that will make up for the slack, I guess.

I'm happy to report a NEW NEW ALL TIME LOW!!!! 124.5 I'm savoring this because next week, I'll be up for sure, TOM and I'm sure I'll be b*tching then!!! Hey, 1/2lb more and I'll have a 70lb loss!

I hope you don't mind me quick little replies to you all-time is short today...

FROG, I said the same about the board to BOB last night-it has been slow-worries me a bit to wonder where everyone has gone-and what they're doing!!! I WISH I could go to that sale-sounds awesome-hope you find lots and lots of goodies!

KAREN, have fun at Cedarburg!!!

MELF, wonderful that you finally had a pain free day-here's hoping for lots more ahead!

RHROO, have a great vacation and do your best-you're too close to goal to screw up big time now! Of course, we WILL miss you! Yep, saw the pics-you skinny thing, lucky you, you have a waist!!!! I don't:(

Okay gals, I'm gone for the day, don't plan on being home til late tonight, or until one of us collapses from exhausting, which ever comes first;)

Have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend!

RHROO - Have a great time on your vacation. I'm sure you'll look stunning in your SIZE 6 SLIM  WHITE jeans! You go Skinny-Minny! Hope your rain ends soon.

MELF - I am taking the exact same Rx as you. They started me off at 75mg and I was not able to function. I remember that you missed several days of work from it making you too tired too! I got the doc to lower my dosage to 25mg so that I can work up to a higher dosage while still working. Luckily I am not having chronic pain and I can do that. I only have pain when contact is made with a ceratin place in the area.

AMSER - My buckwheat pancakes have always been a slight disappointment. Would you share your tips with me? I miss eating one of my favorites, cheese grits! YUM YUM! I wonder if they would even taste good to me now? Probabaly not.

Gotta jet if I'm gonna get some bargains!

Well, the weekend begins soon! BOB--good luck down there in soggy south FL. I think, though, that it would have been soggy even in Sarasota, with Barry dropping all that rain. You gals in LA have it coming your way in a day or so.

We had a great time in St. Augustine. The B & B was cute, and we even took a horse and buggy ride. Very hot, though. I hope that our trip to Wisc. will give us some cooler weather, but from what I've been reading, it is hot up there too. How is the temp. there, Karen3000?

Hey, all the SEC gals. The SEC had 2 teams ranked preseason in the top 10. Yea! SEC!! The mighty Gators are #1, but from what I know, don't think that will last all season. Have too many players on suspension.

Alors, au revoir to you all. A tout à l'heure.

OK you people who actually work for a living are probably saying--when is itgonna be friday? But this working for yourownself means there is no one else to do this stuff but me--and there ain't enough hours in the day! Fortunatly it is stuff I like to do.

Frog--Our team has been picked to finish fourth in the SEC west. The offense is the big unknown this year since we lost all but 7% of our regulars from last year. One of our prize freshmen just got declared academically ineligible. It could be a long fall. 'Cept when we play Florida and LSU--and I'm sure we'll walk all over them. The same hold for UT when we get to the conference championship in Atlanta.

Deb--congrats on the new all time low. Those records are falling like the rain in FLA! I think you should let BOB come to the computer at least once a day. We need to know that she's OK. You did make her sign a consent form didn't you?????

Melf--I'm so glad to hear that the pain is subsiding. It's wonderful isn't it?

I think the slowness on the board is because Chris is gone--I miss her long posts (they are always so interesting).

Viv--are you coming back to us?

Got to go---got some stuff to get into the real mail.

Hi Ya'll, it's been a beautiful sunshiny day here in SW LA, but I been watching the weather channel for updates on Barry & see that we're right in the target area if it stays on the track that it's on now, but still time to change course. It been a while since we've really had a bad one here. Andrew I think was the last one & we really escaped that one by about 30 miles, believe it or not.
BOB Saw some shots of the water in your area. Hope that your house stays dry while you're visiting the DUNGEON!

Had a good day at work. Some of the docs are out of town so census is down & I'm not about to complain about that :D

Frog, It was the Tegretol that had me zonked. I seem to be handling the amitripyline pretty well. I was a little concerned about taking 30 mg on nights before I work, but it seems like I'm handling it ok. I would not have believed that it would have taken care of the pain since it's an anti-depressant, but it actually works & I am ecstatic about it! I'm glad you're getting good results too. Sorry to hear that you're having that problem. I tried the link that you had included in your post but it didn't work for me. Could you post it again or email it to me??

Well ladies, I'm off to get ready cause dh is taking me out tonight. Going to eat chicken fahitas at ElCamino's. I don't eat the tortilas, so it all should be ok. I love those & we have not been out to eat in a LONG LONG time! We'll make an early evening of it cause it's back to work in am! Bye Bye....Hope all have a GREAT week-end!

Hi everyone

Haven't been able to post much this week. I've been working more than usual and was feeling too tired by the evening. It all caught up with me yesterday and I went to bed at 9 o'clock and slept until 7 this morning. Feeling better to-day. I am off work to-day but am going away for the weekend. Will be gone until Monday afternoon.

Rhroo - Hope you have a good vacation..

Deb - Enjoy your visit with BOB. Don't be too hard on her. We need her back when you have finished with her. Congrats on your all time low.

BOB - Hang in there. It's only a few days before you can escape the dungeon.

Frog - Hope you can find relief from your pain. I'd never come across that condition before so it was educational for me to check out those web sites.

Melf - Glad to hear you are feeling better and had a good visit with your Mom and daughter. I don't envy you working all those shifts without a break.

Fillise - Glad to hear that your knee is getting better. That's one of the joys of running your own business, having to do it all yourself. But it sounds like you are enjoying doing it.

Hi to everyone else - Fly, Amser, Quilter, Sef, Belinda, Grinchy, Nance, Ldblond, Catlover, Kymn, Solshine, AmyG, Ralynne, Gatorgal, Lamap, Chris, Beachfan, Viv and to anyone I may have forgotten.

Hope you all have a great weekend. See you all next week.

What a busy week this has been. Boy am I glad that it is over, except that I am going to work tomorrow- overtime- to get caught up on the computer work I need to do, I have had to do nursing work all week, and now I am behind.

BOB- good luck in the dungeon. I am so sure that Deb will take care of you, but I thinkshe means business. (Unless she is all bark and no bite). Hope that rains move out and you have atleast one nice day.

THings were clearing up on the west coast of floida tonight. Actually saw some of the sunset. I wouldn't ming one bit if it doesn't rain tomorrow.

I didn't report for WIW, cause the hands of time went backward and are stuck. This all has to break sooner than later.

Rosalie- hope you have a great time away...and thanks for thinking about me.

Melf....I had the same experince with Tegretol. I was working on the med surg unit as a nurse and had to stop and work as on aide cause the drugs just messed up my mind. Thank god I got better and off that drug.

To all of yhou that live in the southeast, I wish you the best with the weather- hope it doesn't rain on yhou parade.

Got to go so I can get up early and walk before I go to work. I may have not lost and weight, and I probably nee to reread the book and get focused, but I have still strived to walkd every day. I went last night---wasn't raining when I left, but it was after I finished my 2.4 miles across the harbor andback.

Well I hope all hads and great Saturday.

I've been soooooo looking forward to the week-end, but didn't realize I had put off everything that needed to be done at home until the week-end, so -- so much for a relaxing week-end.

I just spent over an hour catching up on all the posts and now I'm out of time and will not get to respond to everyone.

They laid off 25 people at my company - thankfully I wasn't one of them, but it was not an easy thing to experience. They said they cut as low as they had to so that hopefully they won't have to cut any more people.

I wanna know if FROG and SPARKLE are hooking up while she's in the area?!?!?! I thought that **** on Wheels would find a computer to at least check in with us.

Gotta run - mow the lawn, shop for curtains, clean the freakin' house - it's in bad shape.

BOB - hang in there!! We're all pulling for you to make it through the Detox Dungeon - espeically NANCEMEISTER since the Dungeon is coming to her next! Your "during" photo posted by DEBBIE looks awfully good, though. Could be we'll all make reservations if we can come out looking that good, too!!

GATORGAL - I see that Ron Polk won't let just anyone coach his BULLDOGS and has promised to give Pat McMAhon a run for his money when baseball season rolls around again. Big sighs of relief in Mississippi over that one! Now, football season -- we'll just see if we can repeat last year!

Have a great day everyone!!

Hi Gals!

So much has been going on, I feel like I've been away from the board for days!!!!

Major stuff going on at work, won't bore anyone. No more Office Mgr., going back to nursing, you don't want the details! Pay stays the same, that's all that matters.

We found a Victorian home today! It hasn't even been listed! I hope it can all work out, but we'll see how it goes! 3 bed., 2 bath painted pastel yellow with white trim. Cute as can be and it has a Grandma cottage on the property, which is perf, because my Mom wants out of the desert as much as we do! No fireplace, but oh well, can't have it all!

Glad eveyone is doing good. I'm glad that the board hasn't been too busy because I thought it would take HOURS to catch up on everything.

Glad everyone is doing well! I'm pooped. Went got up at 5:00am to drive to our future new town and drove up and down every street. Wouldn't you know it, the house we actually like isn't even listed!!!! Hope it can all work out if it's meant to be.

Being doing TERRIBLE on plan...there hasn't even been a plan. I've gained back almost everything. Stress factor has been huge lately with the work situation and of course I turn to food! Oh well, Deb will be here soon!

EVENING EVERYBUDDY

I'll have to make this quick...I've come home a day early due to mouth pain...I've taken some drugs, and don't know how long before I'll have to "take to my bed"

SOL That shot of me was an evil trick on the DUNGEON MASTER'S part...she took me into the swamp area of the EVERGLADES to a VOODOO QUEEN who transformed me...to my disapointment, when I woke up the next morning...IT WAS BOB IN THE FLESH AGAIN[/b]

I do have to tell everyone....not a single solitary thing that remotely looked like, smelled like, or tasted like [i]SUGAR went past these lips this weekend...I DON'T BELIEVE THERE IS ANYTHING IN THE WHOLE HOUSE WITH ANY IN IT!!
I take that back...Eli has a stash...
Deb swore I was leaving because I had had enough of Eli...NEVER...If any of you ever get to meet him....YOU WILL LOVE HIM!! ;)

NANCY WHATCH OUT SHE'S COMING YOUR WAY sooner than you think....and MAN...DOES SHE HAVE PLANS FOR YOU :smug:
Got my fingers and toes crossed for the house...let me know..
I'll touch base with you tomorrow...WE NEED TO TALK!!

FROG Hope you're feeling better..

ANN I SURVIVED!!

MELF Just a lot of rain over here on the SW coast of FLA...
Got some more moving in from the Gulf..the rain bands from the storm should start hitting tonight..I had a terrible time in the rain on Thursday...I hate to drive in the rain to begin with, and everyone was going to MIAMI.......I was beginning to think that my detox was going to be held in a stadium or something!

RHONDA Have wonderful time on your trip!!

GATOR counting down the days...I'll be in Louisville at my Niece's house for the first game....HOPE IT'S ON TV!!!

Well...I'm off to the BIG BED...Skeeter is already in there and snoring...I'll check in with everyone tomorrow...

BOB--If the UT game isn't on, you can catch the Gators vs. Marshall. It will be televised nationally on ESPN2. It's a 7:15 p.m. game. We'll be there. With so many of our guys on suspension for the first games, I hoping we eke out a win.
