PJ.thanks for the new thread!

Ally...got that # written down....I'll call for sure!:) So you ate some right out of the jar...it is so tempting isn't it! Thanks for the info.the nutrional stuff makes since sicne whipped is a lot of air and everything is less except protien! I love my pb and banana sandwhich!

I worked in the yard some trying not to over use my arm, this week is gonna be a scrocher so I tried to get alot done cause I won't be out there in the heat!:smug:I have fresh tomatoes!!!!!!!!! yummmmmmmmmmmm but gotta watch my tummy right now! Too much acid!

Candice - Beautiful Hibiscus. We used to have them surrounding our entire pool screen but they had to be "trimmed" with the hedge trimmer to keep them looking neat which as you know, prevents them from blooming as much as they should and they were just too much work....so we re-planted them all along the back yard and they've really taken off. I get my digital camera back tomorrow and I'll take some pics.
And fresh tomatoes!!!! Love 'em....if you have extra...send them this way. You lucky thing you. I was supposed to send oranges to so many people from my fathers place but then he had that quadruple by-pass and I just forgot about it, understandably I hope. :o

Well, I have done well on program today. Not great, but not bad either seeing as how I'm outside in this brutal time of year in Florida. 101 degrees today. I sweat so much and I'm drinking lots of water AND Gatorade. I can wash back one of the big bottles in 60 seconds sometimes.

Guess what!!!! I'm going to be a grandmother.....heh-heh...."Missy" got bred to the Paso Fino today......I had absolutely nothing to do with it......this stallion is only ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!! for pete's sake but he still got her and now we have to call her my "Ho Horse" because she just stood there....
I mean, she WAS a brood mare after her racing days and she obviously knows exactly what to do..... AAAGGGHHHHH!!!! That means 11 months from now I'll have a foul. I'm glad ..... but also worried because anything could happen....it's not all that simple, sometimes things go wrong with the birth or the mare but Missy is in such great shape...my vet told me she could be bred up until the age of 28!!!!!!! I wouldn't do that though......this is it!! But still, I'll be a nervous mother for a while. Speaking of......Jackie is having the time of her life in Martha's Vineyard. They don't have a computer so I'm unable to get or send photos. Oh well, she'll have lots to show me when she gets back on Aug. 6th.

The Peanut butter sounds good. I just might try it myself because I LOVE fluffernutter and PB sandwiches. There's NO fat OR cholesterol in the fluffernutter either. Hmmmm, this could be a very good thing....heh-heh.

Well, that's it from my end ........ just got back from cleaning the stalls. My friend, her husband and their three boys went to Pa. for two weeks and I'm watching her two Arabians and their cockatiel bird for them. There's also another guy coming to the new barn. He's leaving my old barn also.......so that makes three horses that left that barn and came to mine. I feel a little bad .... but not THAT bad....after all, I didn't do ANYTHING but help her. She has no idea what she's doing ... least of all....how to run a barn. So.......what goes around, comes around I suppose.:(

Here's hoping you're all having a great night tonight....whatever time zone you're in.........;)

Sweet Dreams my Owl buds,
~Pamela~

Hey Ally - JUST got in. Had to take home the little boy who was sleeping over tonight because he had a bad earache and he wanted his Mom....then he said he wanted to stay here but I told him he could come back tomorrow if he was feeling better. Anyway, that was where I went (just around the corner, right where I keep my horse :D )......as I was driving back home....I shined the lights into this elderly ladies backyard who I know very well just to check on the five horses that are all together.....she saw me and told me to come in.....I told her I was in my jammies and she said......SO AM I, now get your tookiss in here. LOL......we wound up having some wine and talking until I looked at the clock and realized I would never be able to get up in the am if I didn't leave right then and there. Anyway, sorry I missed you on the chat board. When I was there earlier, I almost peed my pants.....the group of people that I was chatting with were hysterical. Wish I could have stayed on a little longer and I DID tell them I'd be back in about 10 minutes. Oh well, YES....it WAS the PJ you knew. LOL...and yes, the cable enabled me to stay logged in....heh-heh. Hopefully I'll catch you on there some time soon. Tonight was the first time in about a week that I'd been there.
"See" ya in the morning.

Hey PJ,
I thought it must've been you!! When I got in the room, they said I had "just missed the crowd." Figures. LOL

I've been in there before with 2 of those ladies before and they are a HOOT! (pardon the nightowl pun!) They made me laugh now both the times I've met them in there. DH had gone to bed and I wonder what he thinks I'm doing while sitting here chuckling to myself. ("what kind of kinky chat room is she really in anyway?") ;)

So, Missy went and got herself knocked up, eh? What a hussy! LOL. What, if any, are the dangers of her being in foal at her age? Is the Paso Finos owner going to make a claim on the foal at all?

My "old man" and I had a great ride the other day. I stayed at the barn for hours...DH was pretty hungry when I got home at 8 pm, but he understands.

Sounds like a really cool neighborhood you live in. Nice neighbors, horses in spitting distance...ah. There is a farm across the street from "my" barn (yeah, I wish) that is for sale. Gawd, to be able to quit my job (have lots of $$ of course) to run that barn.....what a dream! IMO, you never know, you know? Not good to give up on dreams!! ;)

Candice and PJ--All that talk about tomatoes has me craving them. Gotta get some soon!!
Hope all is well with our other Owlie friends who've been quiet lately. HI there!!
"See" y'all later!!

Good Morning, er afternoon Ally - ;)

No, Lee is the landowner and he's just a "good ole boy" who was waiting for me to make up my mind about who I wanted to breed Missy with....either the Arabian or his Paso because he wants to geld him and they have to be "done" between 6 months and a year. And no....the fowl will be all mine. This is the man who built me a $1200.00 fence just because I asked and he said "Is that what you want"????? and I said (not expecting him to be serious) "yes, it is as a matter of fact. LOL".....and he said "Ok, let's do it......just get me a total of 4 horses in here and I'll be happy....but no more than 4"......I said "done deal, within 4 days I had all four there. LOL>............Anyway, I'm looking for a nice buggy for Missy for when whe gets too big to ride.......it will keep her in shape and will probably bring back lots of her memories of her racing years. 21 is NOT old for a horse......especially for a brood mare. Now 40 would be pushing it. LOL.....Actually, she's just a pleasure horse for me. I do a little dressage, mostly english and sometimes western with her. But she like the full cheek snaffle the best......it helps with her commands. She's finally responding to my legs now too. I plan on getting my camera today and will take pics this evening to show you. I started a new webpage and will post the link late tonight. Want ot meet in the chat room again? LOL.......what a "hoot"......

Well, gotta go.....I'm on my way to the barn to "pick out some feet".....horse feet that is..heh-heh. All three of them could use a bath so I've got my work cut out for me. Atleast MY house is clean and neat so I wont have to come home after that and clean some more. I'll "see" ya later.

Hello to all you invisible owls....

Hi Everyone,

I lost 1.8#'s this week, what a bummer, I missed my 10% goal by .6, oh well there is always next week and I am happy with my loss.

PJ, or should I say Grammy, heh, heh!:D Well Congratulations on the new expected addition. I know you are thrilled and I am sure Jackie is too. Sounds like you are having a ball.

Candice, the hisbiscus is gorgeous, you must really have a green thumb.

Alley, you are soooo right, never give up on your dreams, you just never know.

Just wanted to let you all know I might not be online for a day or so. We're expecting a very large storm and that ususally means no cable. sooooo, I'm off to batten down the hatches at the barn and run to the bank to get some extra cash, gas station to get some gas....and then the grocery store to keep my big A**.......Just kidding...I was kind of on a roll there... :D

All kidding aside, I really DO have to do those things so I'll catch you all later.

Yikes, I was soooooooo very bad today. I didn't take a lunch to work which I have been doing for about 2 months now. And I can't say I forgot it, I purposely said the **** with it. I knew they were having pasta and meatballs. Sooooo for breakfast I was good. I had an orange, then came lunch. I had a big plate of pasta and a big meatball, 2 slices of italian bread with 1 pat of butter, a small side salad & a iced tea guzzler(which is like 2 pts) Oh it was sooooooo good but who knows how many points:s: First of all everything there is home-made and absolutely delicious. Second of all the whole meal w/drink only cost me $3.25, you can't beat that. And no I am not done yet. I went back to my office and everyone was talking about the brownies so yes I succumbed and went back and bought one, these were huge brownies, about 4"X4" with chocolate chips all through it and a thick chocolate frosting on it. No still not done, on the way to the gym after work I stopped at mcdonald's and ate a large fry all by myself, then I went to the gym did 30 minutes on the weight machines and 10 minutes on the bike. Well I just got home and ate a single serving size bag of fritos:devil: I feel horrible and ashamed now. I vow to get back on Program first thing in the morning and stay there for awhile. So anyway, I confessed and now it is time to move on. I hope I can still make my 10% goal on tuesday, gotta be real good til then.

Alley, thank you and congratulations, you are doing sooooooooooo awesome. I am so happy for you, lets make our goals together this week.

Pj, I am sorry about all the storms, they finally stopped here and I guess I inadvertantly sent them down there. Anyway hang in there and get back here as soon as you can so we know you are allright.

Where are all the missing owls? Setina, how ya feeling, Emmy(I know you are lurking)All the rest of you come on out and play even if it is just to say a quick hello.

HA HA HA HA HA

Oh Bren .......You know me so well..and yes I have been lurking...at least every other day and feeling guilty about not posting, But to be honest I just felt like I had nothing to offer ......I am not counting points but I AM drinking my water. But that's where it stops.I need to do better!!

So Bren did your boss ever get over being upset and I am SURE you were not involved!!! Some great weight loss you've got going on there!!!

PJ...I am LOVING every minute of your horse/barn stories and it looks like the weight is really coming off for you!! Keep it up!!!

Candice...Boy you really have a green thumb!! I am sooo jealous...I have almost killed my ONLY geranium. Hope your arm feels better!

Alley ,,,Sounds like you are doing well too. To share with you and PJ...when I was a girl I REALLY wanted a pony but we didn't have the space for it... I was so desperate that I braided thick yarn and tied it to the handle bars of my bike to make a "bridle" I rode my bike all that summer using that "bridle" for steering. I lived in the country too so it wasn't a smooth ride..LOL The bad part was that our neighbor had a huge cow pasture right behind our house I did finally get over it...to a degree...but I think that is one reason I enjoy you guys "horse stories" so much!

Tara...Thanks for the email...hope to see you here some!!!

Did I see Stel here?!?!?!?! GREAT to see you!!

Hello to Setina and SueBee and all you other owls out there !!

Gonna try to do better....

Hi All

Just a quick hello gotta get going.
Its going to be a scorcher today 90's and humid YUK! I hate humid. Its been very busy around here but just wanted to let you know I am still around and to say Hello.

PJ - My horse Dream is doing great, have a new trainer working with her this week why my other one is on vacation. May be swithcing, I really like what I am seeing.
I have not been riding her, since my fall last year I just have no faith in myself anymore, always afraid I am not giving the aids properly etc.. etc.. I am riding my other mare though. I am hoping to get my physical condition in better order and start riding her in the spring.
More later I will email you.

Well ladies I hope all is well with everyone, will be back soon gotta get out there and ride before it gets to hot.

Brenda-
I'm so glad you have adopted the "put it behind me and move on" attitude about your day. BTW, all of that sounded so DEEEELISH! I don't know if I would have been able to resist that either. Just the smell would have made me go crazy! (spaghetti and meatballs--my moms of course--is my favorite) My family is really helping me out though. (I'm talking not only of DH, but parents, sisters, etc) They must know how serious I am about it because last weekend when we had a cook-out, they bought me CAFFIENE FREE Diet Coke, and made sure they had plenty of salad fixins. The time before that, my sister (who herself was trying out the Marilou Henner no meat, no dairy thing....I think has given up on that though) got these great specialty store-made veggie burgers. They were awesome too.
Anyhow....sorry the spaghetti and meatballs got me off track. lol
Don't beat yourself up about having a "bad" day. Could've been worse, right? And I admire you for still making it to the gym! You go girl!! :D

Emmy-
Wow! You know what? I used to pretend my bike was a horse too!! lol One time, I made our garage into a "barn" and each bike had a "stall." Geez, I haven't thought of that in years! Good job on keeping up with the water. I find that's the first thing to go when I go off program. Yesterday, my goal was to drink 100 oz and I did it!! At times felt like I was choking it down, but for the most part, it wasn't too hard.

Hey speaking of CF Diet Coke...(above), which is my favorite drink, I heard that the makers are going to put a lemon flavoring in it. I HATE lemon in my soda. They better not put it in there just "in general" I hope they still have no-lemon flavor. I'm not a big fan of Diet Pepsi, either. Whenever waitresses put lemon on/in my glass of soda, I always end up taking it right out. Makes the iced tea lovers I'm with happy because they get an extra lemon.

Hope you're OK PJ!! Satellite pics on TV look scary over Florida!
And that your arm is ok, Candice!
Hey Judy, Tara, SueBee, SLF, Stel and all you other lurkers out there! Do a fly-by and say hello! :) See? Brenda got Emmy to come out! Penny, how's YOUR horse(s)?
Later, Owls!

Hi there, and yes I am lurking. It's been a rough week for me, medically. I dropped a kidney stone and the IV fluids and medication caused a 4 pound gain. While doing the ct-scan for it, they found a mass in my pelvis, which appears to be the one that I had surgically removed 3 years ago growing back. They aren't sure what to do for it. Then I woke up with a stiff neck and now can't turn my head even an inch to the right. Even sitting at the computer hurts. And to top it off, school begins for me in two and a half weeks! I won't even go into the problems with hubby's disability company who think he is faking or something and challenge even the doctor's letters that say he is permantly disabled at this point. It's always something, I guess. I haven't really been posting this week because I don't have much to post that is positive.

But I am lurking!

PJ
08-02-2001, 12:38 PM
Judy - Don't just lurk, come and let out whatever you need to express......you should know by now that it doesn't have to be WW related at all times. Right now you need to vent and you also need people to talk to about what you're going through with your husband and now YOUR physical ailments. Please email me or post here but DON'T not write at all. Even if you feel like you're rambling on....(like I usually do).....then do it. Sometimes we just need to ramble and I know that for me, writing/typing out what I'm feeling inside is a heck of alot easier than verbally expressing it. So come and type, type, type if you can.
Love ya,
~Pamela~

Hey PJ and everyone, I should have waited a few hours before my last post. The good news is that the mass they found isn't a mass at all. They just called. It's a part of my cervix that was left in after my hysterectomy, to keep stuff from falling down. I'm so thrilled. Now, about the other stuff... it suddenly doesn't seem so scary.

YIPEE!

Hi Everyone!

Thought I would post tonite - instead of just lurking! Its nice to see some of the old owls around!! Did I see Michelle K? - I believe I did on thread #14 (the old MLK5460).

Michelle - I hope you are doing ok! Come back and post more - I noticed you got rid of MLK5460 on AOL (my newsletter keeps coming back to me saying that is not a valid AOL name). Do you want me to send you my newsletter to another email? Just let me know. I hope the baby is doing ok!! Any new pics? He is so adorable :D

Emmy - Thanks so much for the info on that A and N store. I will check it out - I have never heard of it here - but who knows! I appreciate your help!!

PJ - You have the best stories girl!! Sorry about all your craziness with your old barn - but it sounds like you have a good barn now - and I hear you are going to be a grandmother! CONGRATS!! Missy is knocked up - who knew! And I hear that Miss Jackie is up in "my neck of the woods" in Martha's Vineyard - what part? I bet she is having a blast - its a great place to go - I went for the first time last year. We had fun! She sure is growing up - and Little Billy is getting big too.

Ally - I am not sure if I introduced myself to you - but I am Tara - one of the "older owls" (I am not an "original" though - I joined in Feb 99) and I lurk mostly nowadays. This thread slows down too much for me at times - I needed more support. But I like to check in every now and then!

Penny - Is it hot enough for you up here? How are you doing girl? I hope OA is working out ok.

Judy - HEY GIRL!!! Good to see you! Glad to hear your tests came back ok! Enjoy the rest of your summer - its almost over - unfortunately!

Brenda - Sounds like you are doing well with WW! Good for you!! Keep up the good work.

I got an email from Setina - she is sick AGAIN! She says "Hello" and she will get back here as soon as she can. I worry so much about her!

I have to run - I need to re-fill my water bottle. I am doing good OP wise - I did have a small gain the other nite - but I know why and I am back on program 100%. I will check in again soon!!

Tara :spin:

PJ - I heard about the storm down in Florida - I hope you guys don't get it!

I forgot to tell you guys how things turned out at work, sorry! The next day we went in and my boss was fine, in a really good mood. One reason is she didn't have to do the pages all over like she thought, she just did a correction on the next ledger entry and referred it back to the one on June 12 and fixed it that way. I did find out though that Theresa was the one who did the miscellaneous debit memo and Janet was the one who entered it into the book so it was them and not me. It is easy to make a mistake like that though so I am glad they didn't get in trouble. My boss did get into a problem with Andy though who WAS our Aviation Production Manager and he left the company, I don't know if he was fired or quit, he got back from the oshkosh seminar on monday and today we all found out he was gone, He was there for a long time too and was a high paid employee, it is quite a shock, he was very nice.

Well after work today I went to the gym and did an hour long kickboxing class for the second time, it was very hard but I did it and didn't keel over from a heart attack, almost did though:o
I did good with my eating today too, back on track!!

Emmy, ofcourse I knew you were there, I could just FEEL your presence. You know we have always had that connection so you know you cant hide:D Hey, atleast you are drinking the water, now take the next step whatever you decide that is, count points, journal, exercise, whatever.

Tara, soooo good to see you again, I have missed you around here.

Setina, gosh girl, feel better soon. Love Ya YFF!!!!!!!

PJ, let us know how you fared the storm as soon as you can.

Judygal, thank goodness the mass was nothing, when I read the beginning of your post, my heart went right down to my stomach.
Now, let's just get that neck better, I know how painful that can be.

Alley, hey there girl! Thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it. Sounds like your whole family is being very supportive of your weight loss efforts, that is fantastic.

Penny, is it hot enough for you???? LOL, gosh I feel like I am melting, thank goodness we have a strong air conditioner at work but boy when I walked outside today, WHAM it hit me hard and I am still sweating.

Okay now, where are all the other owls? Come out, Come out wherever you are.

See ya all later

Judy--
Whew! I was so glad to read your 2nd post!! Hey y'all know now how I can ramble. Please don't think you can't!!! Like PJ said, it's what were all on the boards for, even if it doesn't directly have to do with the weight loss....to give and get support!!

PJ--
LOVED your idiots thread...especially the guy who mailed the police the PIC of his ticket $$. ROFL!!
So, I guess things worked out OK (so far) in the stormy weather?

Brenda--
WOW! Like I've told you before, I really admire your drive to get to that gym and work out! Kickboxing classes make my walking sound like....well.....walking.

Tara--
HI again...I think we've been "introduced" before. I know I've only been here on the Nightowls for a short time, but I've been a 3FC-er since 10-99 and I've "seen" you around!

Well, I think I'm gonna stroll into the chat room again tonight. I don't feel sleepy right now....and I AM a nightowl, don't 'cha know!! ;)

Ally, Bren, Pammie, Candice, Tara, and Candice...... hi from "way too hot" St. Louis. Thanks you guys for helping me get through the medical scare this week.

The good news of course it that I do not have anything growing in me that shouldn't be there!

The bad news is I put on 4 (count em... 4) freakin pounds this week from the IV fluids, the meds and all that jazz. Needless to say, I had hit my 10% and now I have 4 lbs to go to hit it again! Sheesh!!

Hey Pamela, what's new with your kids and Bill? Is he still out of town a lot?

Candice.... what is fluffernutter?????? Oh my gosh girlfriend.... it's peanut butter with (instead of jelly) marshmellow cream (called fluff I think... you get it in the bakine aisle) on bread. It's the bomb as my kids say! (that's good!)

Ally, I also love the diet coke. Unfortunately, I can't drink it anymore because the sweetner in it gave me worse headaches. I am not at all interested in lemon in there, just like you. Sounds gross, but knowing me, I'll check it out anyway!

Bren.... kickboxing class, huh? I haven't tried that one. Let me know how it goes.

Tara... you are right..... summer is almost over. I go back on the 20th. That so bites. Tell Setina I miss her. She knows that I know what she's dealing with, with those darn headaches.

Penny, how long have been riding horses? I think I'd like to fly across a field on a horse with my long blonde hair flowing behind me! The only thing is, I have short curly dark hair and if I actually got ON the horse, I'd probably have to tape my breasts down so they don't fly up and hit me in the face!!!!! Seriously, it's so much fun to read your and Pamela's posts about the horses.

Emmy, I can relate to your wanting a pony as a child. I remember the tv show Romper Room (does anyone know what I'm talking about???) and they had horse heads on broom sticks. I had one of those but that was the closest thing to a horse I've ever had.

Have a good weekend y'all!

PJ
08-04-2001, 06:48 PM
Judy - Oh my God!!!!!!!

"It's the bomb as my kids say! (that's good!)"

That's the exact thing my kids say.....I guess "their language" travels quicly from state to state. ;)
As for Romper Room.....YES!!!!!! And thank you soooooooo much for reminding me of my age JUDY!!!!!!!!!!!! AGGGGHHHHHHH. Of course we old farts remember Romper Room.....well, maybe only us COOL ole farts that is...heh-heh.
And Judy - I have to correct you on one little detail. A "Fluff" as you put it is a flatulent act the body does when it reacts to eating beans or broccoli, etc. FLUFFERNUTTER is the marshmallow that is "THE BOMB" when it's made with a pb sandwich. :D

Candice - There is NO WAY that's you doing laundry....I've seen your pictures and your butt is no where NEAR that.......now MY A*...er, butt looks like that ....... but YOURS?????? Not a chance.

Gotta go...it's starting to thunder again and Bill and I had a yard sale today and then re-mulched the front yard. He's knocking on the window now to get me out there.
See ya all later.

judygal

LOL PAM! I stand corrected! Here's another blast from our past... do you remember Wonderama on tv when we were about 5 or so? The host was Sonny Fox.

PJ
08-05-2001, 09:21 AM
Judy - You mean the guy with the blonde, blonde hair and BANGS???? LOL....yes, I remember that one too. I think we should start a thread with all of the TV shows we can remember from the late 50's - the 60's. LOL.....I know I'll remember SEVERAL ....... hundred!!!!!! heh-heh. It makes me happy to see you in such good spirits my Judygal. ;) I'm still coming for a visit one of these days.......and sooner than later. Watch out! Here comes Pammy! :D

As for my being on program for the past couple of days. Well, like my last post regarding being OP....I'm still so, so and it showed on the scale this morning. I'm STUCK. Haven't gained but haven't lost and that's not where I want to be after tha last time I weighed myself. I know I had a loss, I could feel it in the waist of my tighter clothers but then a couple of days ago we had chinese food and I LOVE steamed dumplings. The dumplings aren't too bad but the Teriyaki sauce really blew me up and then I had eggdrop soup last night. YES, YES and YES again, I'm swollen like a watermelon. :o I've always said salt doesn't have much of an effect on me??? Well, I take it back!!!!!!!! My fingers look like Flintstone feet and my face is puffy this morning around my eyes. Now THAT'S swollen for ME. So, it's back on track today. Especially since it's Sunday...what better day than a holy day to get back on track to being a good girl and I've GOT to stop smoking. I can't even call myself a "social smoker" anymore. For the past week, I've been a bonafied (sp?) smooooooker! I am going to put my best effert forward today to STOP! Nuf said.
Quit Smoking
Stay OP
I think that's enough to get started....heh-heh.

Jackie comes home TOMORROW!!!!!! Yey!!! I miss the little stinker soooo much. I can't wait to hold her in my arms and squeeze and mush her up. I have an important Dr's appt. related to my case that I CANNOT miss so Bill is taking the day off to pick her up around 10am or so and my appt. is at 12 noon. No way I'd make it back here on time and he's just as excited to see his daughter as Li'l Billy and I are. It's been 10 days. Her little brother really misses her ALOT...it's so cute when he talks about her.

I'll catch you later.....hello to all you missing OWLS out there.......

Hugs to you all,
~Pamela~

Welcome Jenn - Way back when........about 3 years ago when the 3fc site was just starting out......we were digruntled WW site members......well, a few of us. Then we came over to here when Brenda told us about it and since WE were also working Moms and what not......the name NIGHT OWLS just stuck. I don't remember who came up with the name but I'll bet it was Brenda. ;)
Anyway, most of us have been together for the average of one year and "OLDIES" that were here from the beginning are Brenda, Judy, PJ (me), Setina, MJ (missing in action), and a few others I think. The rest joined about 2 years ago and then we've got some new ones this year as well. All together there are probably about 25 of us ..... some pop in from time to time.....some just lerk until we "whip em" out of hiding. Heh-heh...
Then there's the ones like myself who aren't around for a week or so.....then when I DO show up......you can't shup me up!:o
So, welcome to the NIGHT OWLS.......we support eachother in our battle of the bulge....or maintaining ........ or whatever we need support in on any given day. Many of us talk about our personal lives and we all help eachother out when we can and try to give eachother a "lift" if needed. You're more than welcome to lerk and see if we're the kind of support you need and if not...that's fine too. Glad you stopped by and maybe .......if you'd like....you can tell us a little about yourself.
Hope you're having a good night..........Sweet dreams to the rest of you. Now that Li'l Billy has finally gone to sleep...I'm sneaking up to Walmart to get him his boots for the barn....you know, the black ones that are %100 waterproof so he can walk through the mud and muck.......YUCK!!!!!!
Night all,
~Pamela~

Jennie... welcome to the nightowls. I am one of the originals but am famous for having headaches (along with Setina) that keep me from posting for periods of time.

Pammy, I WAS ON Wonderama. We (the kids in the neighborhood) won tickets for having a Jerry Lewis telethon carnival in my back yard. I remember riding the Long Island Railroad to get there. I also remember cheating during the simon says game and it was caught on camera! Oh btw: great picture!

Anyone remember ZOOM?? They still have it on, oh yeah how about lost in space? The banana splits? Captain Kangaroo? The Gong Show? Wow, now I am truly feeling my age.

I have done completely awful with my eating this week, way too much munching, I will probably gain tomorrow or stay the same, I am sure I won't make my 10% goal. Oh well, there is always next week.

I don't know what is going on around here but we all lost electricity for no apparant reason, then we just got it back and not more than 30 seconds ago, my cable went out.

Jennie, welcome to the night owls. I started the night owls thread 3 years ago. I was up real late one night and had just got online and I wanted someone to talk to so I started a thread " any night owls out there?" and that was the beginning of some wonderful friendships.

Later Owls

ALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

Oh wow ALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations.

I've gained 5 lbs because of medical things this past week and I am totally bummed.

Bren, you've GOT to be younger than me. I'm 46. The shows you are naming are more recent. I feel sooooooooooooo old! But a bit of useless info: Captain Kangaroo was the featured speaker at my college graduation in 1978.
