Weight Watchers - Easter Challenge

I want an Easter Challenge. I like to set these mini goals for myself so wont you join me.
I have been on WW since July 2005 and lost 49 lbs. My Easter goal will be to lose another 7 pounds (it is getting slower here at the end)

Easter is April 16th, this gives us 4.5 weeks.
I am going to go for 4.5 x 2, round up and try for 10 lbs by Easter.
My Easter Challange - Eat NO Easter Candy of any kind during this challange.

I don't have a lot to lose, and it's really hard to lose anything at all. My challenge is to get five pounds off by Easter. Do you think I can do it?

Hello~ I am up for this challenge~ I need something to get me back motivated again~ I was doing fine with treadmill and everything till we went on vacation, but now cant get motivated to get back on treadmill.
So my challenge is to lose 7 pounds by Easter and do my treadmill 6 days week

I am up for this challenge. I am going to set my goal for 10 pounds and sure hope I can make it. I am still new to WW and have lots to lose so I think I should be able to make the 10 lb loss.

Yeah, me too. I'm going to shoot for ten pounds by Easter, which will put me at 182, which was my highest weight pre-babies. Off to change my ticker!

Okay I am in. This week as been a little iffy.
I lost 4.5 last weight in (SUNDAY) So I am really scared what is gonna look like this next weigh in. I haven't been as religious as I was last week.
But Not totally Off Program either.
So I am in. I am gonna go for 6 pounds from until then.

I am glad we are getting some challengers - MY "mini" goals help me so much - especially on this last leg of my journey to lifetime maintenance - which I am about 13 pounds from.
It is coming off slower at the end but being so close to 50 lbs lost and my goal make me work harder in some areas.
Problem I have tomorrow - my Dad is leaving for state for about 4 months so he wants to go the Mexician Rest. for dinner - I have to figure out what I can eat to be a good girl.

I have a little trick that works for me at a mexican food resturant, I order corn tortillas, a side of refried beans, then sides of lettuce tomato and cheese, sometimes I add the sour cream. Then I make my own little tacos. Points are not that high and even better it gives me something to do with my hands so I hardly notice that my friends are eating ooey gooey (yucky) dishes.
I am off to a good start with this challenge and hope I am one that shares my successes when it is over. I am off to Dallas for my goddaughter's birthday party. I am hoping this mini challenge can keep me motivated this weekend. :twirly:

I'll take you challange! I am just starting my "Journey to a better me" so I am going to take into account the water weight loss you get when you first start a program and set my Easter goal at 15lbs. Good luck all! By the way..I could use a diet buddy!

Ok here we go. I tried to be reasonable because my kitchen is still gutted and this has been sooo difficult to sop! I ordered the dress yesterday and it still wasn't the size I wanted so I am going for eight pounds...like I said reasonable I don't want to get discouraged! Goodluck everyone! I love these mini goas they make life so much easier don't they!

I'm SO in!! I didn't do as well as I wanted in my St. Patty's goal but I'm still in the game and know I'll do better for Easter. I'm putting my goal at 10lbs. That gives me about 2.5lbs (give or take an ounce) per week. I think that's doable.
If it's possible to fall off the wagon while still being within your points then I did it the last few weeks. I was staying within my points however I wasn't eating the best foods and i wasn't following the 8 rules or really exercising. :( HOWEVER, this week has been my 'get back on the wagon' week. I've been following the program better and I'm exercising a bit each day.
I'm determined to win this war even if I lose a few battles along the way. The most important thing to me is that I don't give up. If I fall down then I just get back up. That's the mindset I need to have. ( I feel like I need a hoo-rawh in there. ;) )

I'm in! I just started WW at home today, i'm setting my goal at 15 lbs, i'm shooting high! Should be able to do that by just cutting out all the junk food!

Well ladies I had my first weigh in at WW today. Down 3.4 pds wooooo hoooo! I was majorly scared that i didnt lose any. Thats why i set my Easter goal so low. Well its okay i will just surpass that goal. Its always a good thing when you surpass a goal. So how is everyone else doing?

Well, I didn't make my St. Pat's goal. :( I was iffy but then lost 4 pounds from being sick so I thought I'd make it. Nope, gained 2 back last week when I started eating again. So, I am going to make a more conservative Easter goal of 8 pounds but hope for 10. 8 pounds will put me 2 pounds below my 10% goal so I really want to at least get there!
My exercise goal is to get back into the swing of things from 2 lazy weeks of being sick. That means 3 trips to Curves and the treadmill at least 4 times a week. Now that I've said it, I'll feel much more accountable for it.

Hello All!! I had WI today. And I was pleasantly surprised that I lost 3.6 pounds. YEAH!!!! :carrot: :carrot: After going 2 weeks were I lost only .4 and .2 lbs and then gaining back .6 lbs last week I was getting a bit discouraged. But I'm back. I'm working the program right again. :) YEA!!!! :carrot: :carrot:

I had a good start. I am down 1.8 at the first weigh in. I just have to average 2 lbs per week and I will be under 190 by Easter. I hit 190 during my first pregnancy and have never made it back - I can't wait.

I had WI this morning. I am down 0.8 lbs
I was really bummed out since I have increased my walking to about 1 to 1 1/2 miles more per day - and I walked everyday last week.
They told me at WW it may take a week or so to really show at the scale - I just really wanted that 50 lbs mark today - so I will keep it up and really try again this week and see what happens next week. I want to keep my 7 pound goal for Easter -
Every pound or tenth of pounds is closer to my goal

I am really struggling! Every month when it is my tom I fall into this free for all and I am so afraid I will fall in and not get out! So I will try this again. I know that the kitchen being remodeled is a huge part of this but there really isn't an excuse to justify it. I need you guys to get on me about what is important to keep me motivated..I think two weeks and I will have a kitchen again and the good news is I am sooooooo sick of eating out. I feel like a little kid that got cut smoking and the parents made them smoke a whole pack right in a row...lol. I want to cook!
But great job to everyone else...I am up two pounds on my ticker an I refuse to change it because I need to get it back down. I hopt that when my aunt flies out she will take the weight with her until next month!

You have to stay modivated. Don't give yourself the excuse of TOM. That is what it is an excuse and you need to stay on track and focus. Make sure during this time you write down everything that goes in your mouth. You will be able to see that you can make that week - the same as any other week.
We can loose this weight and keep it off.
Hildy - you are half way to your all time goal!! Keep it up

Im not new here used to be cryket34, i couldnt get on under that name for some reason~ I weighed in Monday night i gained 1/2 pound. I gotta get back on the groove of things but havin a hard time doing it~ I was doin treadmill faithfully every morning for 50 mins and when we went on vacation I cant seem to get myself back on it ~ this really upsets me~ I dont wanna gain back the 26 pounds i lost so far. Thanks guys..I know TOM month is an excuse...I find myself doing great all day and then at the end...I cave. Thnaks for pointing it out that I am half way..I didn't even realize and that is so sad! I bought some new skinny jeans and through all my old stuff out..no going back! I have to stay extra focused until this kitchenis done! I cannot wait to try new recipes! And my stove comes today! But I can't use it till the painting is done...but one step closer!

well no one has posted so I will post again! I just want to say thanks again I went one whole day back on plan again and I saw big results on the scale so now I am super motivated! I even a avoided a late night urge to eat fast food with hubby and went to bed intead and I am very happy with myself, happier than I would have been if I felt sick going to bed with a bunch of junk in my tummy knowing my self control failed! I am giving myself a pat on the back! I will do it again today!

I was so proud of myself this past week - we will see if it shows tomorrow at WI.
I had to attend a 2 day conference a couple hours away from home. Lunch was provided. As I went thru the buffet line - Fried Chicken, Mashed potatoes, Some type of beef with gravy - Oh my I did finally see some salmon (which I chose) and then filled my plate with green beans and salad. I passed on the desert which was about 5 difference type of cakes and Cheesecakes - which is my fav!!
Then at supper we ate at a place called Smokey Bones (the BBQ smelled out of this world) Anyways I decided of Mahi Mahi - of the 2 slices of bread I ate one that came with it and as my side I picked brocolli. Then I once again passed on desert which they had Chocolate Peanut Butter pie (my fav combination!!)
So I passed the test!! Now hopefully tomorrow the scales will show it!!
I am on vacation tomorrow (we have WW at work) so I am going in early in to the meeting so I can weigh in (no sleeping in on my vacation day);)

Great job to every one being down! I am down 2 lbs on the ww scale so whoo hoo I thought I would gain after last week skipping the meeting! So this week I am armed with frozen food and my kitchen is almost done and I can't wait! Hope everyone keeps it up and SOP. My TOM is almost over and the cravings are gone so I am ready! OMG I can't believe this! Yesterday I stepped on the scale cause I wanted to see if I had lost any weight at all. I don't like using my scale cause I had brought it out of desperation, it's non digital, and I hate non digital cause I can never see my exact weight. Anyway, I stepped on it cause I hadn't weighed myself in the while and it spun around and stopped a lil after 240. I was pissed cause I thought it was wrong and it was broken but today I was at my mama's job (she works at the VA hospital) and I went to the employee health office and the lady let me weigh myself and they have this cool (expensive) digital scale and I weighed myself and it said I weighed 244 1/2!!! Which means I've lost like 6.5 lbs!!! *screams*

Hi guys i am in. I would like to lose 5 pds by than. I am back on ww and need to focus and get all the support out there poss. I was doing sb for a while and thought I would do a combeo of both. Summer is right around the corner and I need to feel comfy. Congrad to all of you who we were on the same challenges you all are doing great and lost some weight since I last stopped in. I wish I could say the same. My thyroid is and was messed up so I was trying to maintain rather than gain. I am glad I am back... Thanks for all your help again.

WI today...I'm down another 1.2lbs. :carrot: I'm so excited about this one. Not only because I lost when I was sure I gained (didn't have a good week staying on points.) BUT I'm only .4lbs away from being under 200lbs for the first time in atleast 4 years. :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: Wish me luck this week. My goal is to stay OP the way week and exercise at least 30 minutes 5 times this week. :)

I am down 0.2lbs - Hey it is a loss.
I had a rough week - we have been car shpooing - what a pain in the behind. I think a couple days I didn't get at least 20 points and I think that hurts. I have to make sure I get my points at least the minimun.- BECAUSE everything else I did was right - exercise drinking water. etc
This week will be better. I decided on a car last night - pick it up later this week. I do have Stamp Club on Thursday but I get veggies and stuff for that day.

Congrats on the .2 loss Julie. I know it doesn't seem like a lot but it's .2 less than you were. :D I understand the car buying thing. I went through that last week. I finally got through it on Saturday. It was such a relief to me.
Shari, don't worry about the gain. It happens to all of us at some point. The important thing is you don't let it get the better of you and stop all together. And just remember...you may have gains some of it back but you haven't gained all of it back. :)

I am rededicating myself to
1) throwing leftovers in the garbage before I start to nibble
2) water, water, water
3) 20 points a day through Sunday
Today should be easy. The weekend will be tough since we are headed up to a big party at Schweitzer. I want to be able to drink, but I am never going to get away with it and stay under 20 points.

Well, this week I'm suddenly up 2.2lbs. I was fine Wed, then when official weigh in came (Thursday) there is was! Water retention maybe? I have no idea. I'm self diagnosing myself with that since I can't get my wedding ring off and it has been loose until then. I can see my finger is swollen...sigh.
So, what causes this and how do I cope? :?:

Merrygold...I suggest two things 1) check the sodium amounts in the things you're eating/drinking. The higher your sodium intake the more you retain. 2) drink more water. I know this sounds silly but if you're not drinking enough water then you retain it when you do drink it.
These are the two things I do when I notice water retention...hope it helps.

Hey guys well i had my weigh in today. Hit my Easter Challenge today! Was very excited. And i thought it was gonna be a rough week but i was still able to loose a bit. As for weight flucuation tell me about it. On wednesday I was up like 4 pds. LOL but for me its TOM so partially because of that. But i up'd my water intake and worked out a bit more.

I'm gonna take some of your good vibes and use it this week. I had a bad week and actually gained. Not too much just 1.6lbs but still it's 1.6lbs I didn't want to gain. :( Oh well...I know it's my fault and even though I want to blame it on TOM I can only use that a little. I didn't do what I needed to do last week. HOWEVER...i'm determined to do it this week. My goal for the week is...
1) journal...journal...and journal some more... I slacked o n that this week and it shows....i journaled some here online but I need to do it on paper too.
2) exercise at least 210 minutes this week. That breaks down to 30 minutes each day IF i'm able to do it. But this way I won't feel bad on the two days I know I won't be able to exercise.
3) water...water...and more water...I usually do good on this one but for some reason the last two days I didn't do as well as I should have. My goal is to have at least 100 oz of water a day.

Was able to weigh in today (usually weigh in on Mondays but I had to work but I was off today). Tummy was feeling queasy cause I was so certain that I gained, got on that scale, and watched it weigh me in at 242 1/2! Which means that I've lost 4 1/2 pounds this week, 9 1/2 total, and 1/2 lb away from meeting my Easter goal! And Easter is five days away! YAY!

I am so far away from my Easter Goal (4.4 lbs) that I actually deleted my sticker.
Then I remembered I had 2 Easter Goals. One was to lose 10 lbs (I have lost 4.6) and the other was to eat no Easter Candy. And zoom - the weeks have gone by and not a chocolate has touched my lips. So I shall be happy. And besides. I have lost about 5 lbs which puts me at a 25 lb loss so far, even if I haven't broke 190. I know I will by keeping up the good work.

Happy Easter Everyone!!
I didn't meet my goal but I came really close. I used my home scale and I got down to 198.8lbs. Which is 8.2 lbs. :carrot: :carrot: It's unofficial though because I wasn't able to WI at my meeting today but I don't care. I'm below 200!!! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

My goal for Easter was 10 lbs and I lost 9lbs. Good job to everyone! Lets keep in gear for summer!

I decided to give myself until today to meet my Easter goal since if I stopped last Tuesday it took 5 days away from me. So... I am quite excited to say that I made it! Yay! I think officially it was like 8.3 or something when my goal was 8 so I'm happy! Also, iI promised the treadmill 4 days a week (also made that goal) and Curves 3 times a week but that one didn't completely happen. I think I went 2, sometimes 3 times a week but always 3. Still, I'm good with it all!
I think I'm going to leave my ticker in a for another day or so just so I can revel in the fact that I did it this time! Congrats to everyone on your losses!
